Beautiful anytime of the year. Always a fun time visiting. The Christmas light show is awesome, great designs. Its so much fun to see.
Very impressed with the children's garden and play area. Our almost-2 year old had an absolute blast.
I haven t been here in over 20 years and it s just as wonderful as I last remembered it. We walked around for hours and still didn t see everything. You can definitely easily get lost here which makes it fun! Make sure to grab a map so that you can find your way around if you do get lost. I recommend parking in one of the main parking lots, not on one of the side lots like what we did, to make it easier to find your way back. You can also simply drive around, but you may miss seeing some of the really neat plants. My favorite were the Asian ones.
Much more land than I thought. Really nice place to walk around. I recommend taking the trolly ride to get an idea of the area and learn a few things about it.
To remember the beauty, importance and our responsibility in the conservation of the tree as part of the ecosystems
Great place, lots of fun outdoor activities to do with my kids. And the trolls are amazing!
Lots of trails and activities for little ones, but fun for older kids and adults.
I just attended Illuminations with some of my family - gorgeous displays!! It is a must see!
Huge. 4 adult membership for like a hundred something bucks. Tons to do. Like your own little country club, emphasis on the country. Spent 4 hours with a 2 1/2 year old a bit back and never really made it much further than six or 8 hundred yards past the entrance. Well maintained, lots to learn. Wonderful experience for the kids. Bring your own food, strollers, bikes and just enjoy the space. Definitely a much better value to get the year pass if you plan on going more than a few times each year. Trading in our zoo membership for this and excited. It also gets you free entrance to the Botanic Garden!
Awesome place to walk. Just left one of the dog days. Lots of happy pups. I appreciate all the trees being tagged so I can learn along the path.
Must see nature extravaganza!!!!
I had the pleasure to watch this place grow from a few mud trails to a feast for your eyes!! They never stop adding and improving the arboretum!!!
What a great outing! The Breathing Trees were just incredible! I could have spent hours just watching those.
The Morton Arboretum is one of my favorite places to go for a walk in the woods. Even though I've been there countless times I still have yet to cover the full extent of their trail network. I can definitely see the overall experience being on the pricier side with admission and food combined, but membership at the Chicago Botanic Garden grants free admission if that option is available to you.
Very nice. So many types of trees. Beautiful. Went on the tram tour, driver was very informative,. Would live to visit in the fall with changing colors.
Always a great place to visit! Drive, bike, or walk... many trails to explore. Wonderful facilities and cafe!
Always a great place, for anyone, for a nice walk, hike or bike and learn about the trees at the same time.
Long paths, and can't hear the highway at all. Great for running.
Fantastic arborist and beautiful trail. Love to come here.
Visited here for the illumination light trail during Christmas. A must see near Naperville. Very good decoration and a nice walking trail. Good for all age groups.
Yay for trees! I'm so happy that we finally visited, it was so pleasant to walk around and recharge.
A fun way to spend the day! Lots of well maintained trails with plenty of signage along the way so you can find your way back easily. See the trolls while they are still in town!
Great display of illumination. Very much worth visiting during winter in Chicago. Enjoyed the awesome visit along with my daughter's family
We've been going here for a year, a great place to get away and be with nature in the middle of the burbs. They've kept the place so well, become a member and enjoy it often!
Amazing place. Lots of interesting pathways and things to see and do. What a treasure for Chicago.
Beautiful, peaceful and Wonderful way to celebrate the season with others
Always beautiful and always something new to see. The extra events are great. Take a tram tour. So much info and things to see and learn.
Great place with a great mission. Also an ideal location to practice rolling hills bike or run workouts and triathlon brick and transition work
Pricy but always a friendly great experience. Love the grounds. They just started offering a member lane on busy days which helps a ton.
Amazing bike ride up and down the hills. Beautiful flowers and trees!
Expensive for an arboretum. 15$ per person? I'll go to a forest preserve for free thanks.
If you've been wanting to go for Illumination, I think you should, tomorrow! Don't wait, it's a lot of fun. Dress warm, if you forget gloves, they sell some really cute ones along with hot cocoa, smores.
Trolls are so awesome at the Morton kids love it yoy have to see them there are 7 giants and you will love them.
Went there for the holiday light show. Not worth the price of admission. However, the scenary is pretty good.
We love the events that Morton Arboretum puts on throughout the year and visit several of them. They handle parking very well and we always enjoy our visits. The grounds are kept spotless and are great to explore with friends or family. The current Troll HUnting exhibit is fantastic and we loved hugging the trolls!
This place is pure Magic! We can easily have spent an entire weekend or more trying to see all of the wonderful things. The Children's Garden was a magical place bass that seems to go on and on and on. The artist-in-residence program is wonderous, and the grounds are arranged so nicely to allow driving to any area. It's nearly two hours away but we will be back soon!
Nice place to walk around - get there early before everyone else does
It's good to get in touch with nature. We showed up a little early in spring. Not much was growing, but Dafadil field was in bloom and so we're the crabapple trees.
What's nice about the arboretum is that you don't have to commit to a very long hike. You can park your car and go for a mile long walk in a loop.
Best place to get lost in nature close to the city!
Great place to enjoy Fall's colors. You should plan to attend illuminations showcase
Lush grounds, hunting for the trolls was a fun afternoon
Great lights and very organized. I recommend going during the week if possible!
I love wandering through the differnet areas, there seems to always be something new down each path.
Very nice place, tons to do. Little muddy by the heavily trafficked areas but that's expected. Kids loved it to. Hope to return soon.
Went for the Christmas illumination of lights. Absolutely beautiful.
Sounds like a walk and fun for a ride ..burn it off...
I grew up visiting the arboretum and I still return for a visit whenever I am in the area. Things have definitely evolved as the years have gone by, but Morton still provides a natural peaceful setting for all ages.
Great place for a hike and finding the hidden giant trolls were cool. Only downside was paper maps weren't available. We took a picture of a stationary map on our phone but the sun made it hard to see the phone screen.
I love this place! They host wonderful events for adults and kid friendly, too. I go here to distress and walk around.
I haven't visited this place in decades. I simply drove by on the tollroad.
As a Forester it was lovely. Great for kids to. Most paths are wood chips but their is a road you can drive through most of the area with.
No one Cooks like that except if your thought by the mama the fruit of the vine the food was excellent
Superbe nature preserve, great guides and source of information on local nature habitats.
They had a gorgeous light display for Christmas! It wasn't that cold the day we went but they had warming stations to take a break & to warm up, which we took advantage of!! They served hot chocolate & other beverages. I definitely would go back and recommend it to all my friends & family!
My wife and I went for the first time for the Christmas light event! We went early December when the weather was perfect. Grabbed a hit chocolate at the Arboretum and strolled through the park for the light show. Wonderful evening and we will be coming back!
The light show itself was really cool. All the trees were lit up different colors and as you walked through different sections of the arboretum the theme changes. One section they had a light show to Christmas music that was really neat. Next year when we go we will definitely keep in mind that there were multiple stations to roast s mores at. Not only that, you could buy all types of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks prior to your stroll. Complete with beer whiskey champagne prosecco coffee hot chocolate and much more!
We love the Arboretuem! We have been taking our kids here for the last nine years several times a month and they still enjoy it.
Nice walking trails. A peaceful and tranquil place with whimsical trolls to entertain the whole family.
Great place to spend with the family and keep the social distance. Buy tickets ahead they are limited every hour. Good place to hike and enjoy nature.
We went here for the first time during spring break. The weather was nice and we really enjoyed walking around looking for the trolls. My mother loves to walk, so next time we will invite her to come.
Great place to walk around and enjoy the outdoors. Informational plaque on many species of plants.
