I haven t been here in over 20 years and it s just as wonderful as I last remembered it. We walked around for hours and still didn t see everything. You can definitely easily get lost here which makes it fun! Make sure to grab a map so that you can find your way around if you do get lost. I recommend parking in one of the main parking lots, not on one of the side lots like what we did, to make it easier to find your way back. You can also simply drive around, but you may miss seeing some of the really neat plants. My favorite were the Asian ones.

Huge. 4 adult membership for like a hundred something bucks. Tons to do. Like your own little country club, emphasis on the country. Spent 4 hours with a 2 1/2 year old a bit back and never really made it much further than six or 8 hundred yards past the entrance. Well maintained, lots to learn. Wonderful experience for the kids. Bring your own food, strollers, bikes and just enjoy the space. Definitely a much better value to get the year pass if you plan on going more than a few times each year. Trading in our zoo membership for this and excited. It also gets you free entrance to the Botanic Garden!

I had the pleasure to watch this place grow from a few mud trails to a feast for your eyes!! They never stop adding and improving the arboretum!!!

The Morton Arboretum is one of my favorite places to go for a walk in the woods. Even though I've been there countless times I still have yet to cover the full extent of their trail network. I can definitely see the overall experience being on the pricier side with admission and food combined, but membership at the Chicago Botanic Garden grants free admission if that option is available to you.

If you've been wanting to go for Illumination, I think you should, tomorrow! Don't wait, it's a lot of fun. Dress warm, if you forget gloves, they sell some really cute ones along with hot cocoa, smores.

We love the events that Morton Arboretum puts on throughout the year and visit several of them. They handle parking very well and we always enjoy our visits. The grounds are kept spotless and are great to explore with friends or family. The current Troll HUnting exhibit is fantastic and we loved hugging the trolls!

This place is pure Magic! We can easily have spent an entire weekend or more trying to see all of the wonderful things. The Children's Garden was a magical place bass that seems to go on and on and on. The artist-in-residence program is wonderous, and the grounds are arranged so nicely to allow driving to any area. It's nearly two hours away but we will be back soon!

It's good to get in touch with nature. We showed up a little early in spring. Not much was growing, but Dafadil field was in bloom and so we're the crabapple trees.

What's nice about the arboretum is that you don't have to commit to a very long hike. You can park your car and go for a mile long walk in a loop.

I grew up visiting the arboretum and I still return for a visit whenever I am in the area. Things have definitely evolved as the years have gone by, but Morton still provides a natural peaceful setting for all ages.

Great place for a hike and finding the hidden giant trolls were cool. Only downside was paper maps weren't available. We took a picture of a stationary map on our phone but the sun made it hard to see the phone screen.

They had a gorgeous light display for Christmas! It wasn't that cold the day we went but they had warming stations to take a break & to warm up, which we took advantage of!! They served hot chocolate & other beverages. I definitely would go back and recommend it to all my friends & family!

My wife and I went for the first time for the Christmas light event! We went early December when the weather was perfect. Grabbed a hit chocolate at the Arboretum and strolled through the park for the light show. Wonderful evening and we will be coming back!

The light show itself was really cool. All the trees were lit up different colors and as you walked through different sections of the arboretum the theme changes. One section they had a light show to Christmas music that was really neat. Next year when we go we will definitely keep in mind that there were multiple stations to roast s mores at. Not only that, you could buy all types of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks prior to your stroll. Complete with beer whiskey champagne prosecco coffee hot chocolate and much more!

We went here for the first time during spring break. The weather was nice and we really enjoyed walking around looking for the trolls. My mother loves to walk, so next time we will invite her to come.
