What a beautiful place to walk and enjoy the views. There is a cafe and restaurant in the premise with casual foods. The admission covers parking and pass to the Children's Garden which has a playground and many fun activities for kids. The pathways are paved for strollers and wheelchair access to the hiking trails.

A massive arboretum with so many different nature experiences! Easy to move through by car on a one way loop to park at different nodes of interest, or take the foot trails that weave through oak savannas, delicious forests, spruce plots, and wetlands.

So much of this area was once overtaken by agriculture, so it's a lot of impressive work that's going in to selectively edit out pioneer species and restore these natural spaces.

We love the Arboretum! Our family has a great experience every time we go. The trees and gardens are beautiful and everything is well maintained and taken care of. The different events and exhibits are so fun and our kids especially love running around in the Children's Garden when it's warmer!

This is kind of a magical place around here. I feel bad for out of towners who come here because there is so much to explore and theres no way you could see everything in 1 day.
Its a beautiful, clean environment just great for walking around and enjoying the sight of trees and birds.

Beautiful flowers. I have written down the names of several so I can put them in my garden. The activities around the lake where really fun to see and possibly purchase too. Thank you for an economical place to go and spend a wonderful day with family and friends. The cafeteria was great also. All the employees were very warm and welcoming.

It was a great experience. We did the troll hunt. There is alot of walking but you can drive to different parking lots to get closer to the trolls. We were not able to see all of them due to time but had fun. It was a bit muddy when we went, so be careful when walking.

Awesome place to go for a walk, take in nature, and just hang out.

The main path for cars has plenty of spots to stop and park, and you can continue on foot. Or you can bring a bike, park at the main entrance, and bike the path.

It's very clean, haven't seen any litter the few times I've been. The different areas are all marked very well with information about the plant life.

All in all, if you have a few hours to spare I'd recommend checking this place out.

We're members and we LOVE it there. Really nice way to get out and enjoy nature. It can get pretty crowded at peak times, so we try to avoid those...otherwise, almost always a great experience!

Very neat place, especially if you like the outdoors. With an active child like ours, it's amazing because of the space & never ending things to do and see. Hoping to spend some time on a bike there this summer with the little guy.

Visited for the troll walk that I think they do every fall. 3 and 5 year olds loved it! Great chance to get outside, and the kids loved looking for and playing with the troll installation.

We have been members for three years in a row and haven t regretted it. This is such a great place to bring the kids, go for a drive, or walk around and look for birds. Nature lovers will love this place and the kids will love the massive play area.

Amazing and scerene experience. Recommend for a full day. Pack supplies in case of small children. Do not forget to go through the maze and the children garden. Recommend driving through the park rather than taking the tour. Plenty of spots to stop, park and enjoy the view.

Super fun! Very well taken care of and put together. The people who work here really love it and its nice to see. My only advice is plan to be there the whole day to get your money's worth. Its huge! And wear comfy shoes!

Absolutely worth the membership! I took 4 "kids" (10 - 22 y/o) with me, and everyone was entertained with the Troll Hunt and maze. I recommend going early morning to avoid crowds and enjoy the cooler morning breeze.
I'm looking forward to going back in the fall to watch the leaves change color.

We went for the holiday light show. The lights were all done very nicely and accompanied with music. There were several complimentary s'mores stations along the way that put even the toughest critics in the holiday spirit. Addionally, there were several interactive things do do along the way to entertain the kids.

They way oversold illumibrew. Lines so long it took 15-30m per 3oz pour. Got half through before they announced last pour. Also a severe lack of bathrooms. Lights were amazing, but with so many people I would not recommend the beer night.

The Tree Illumination show was just okay. Thought there would be more lights and more music playing. Took about 30 minutes to complete. Other then that, the place is great for a walk during the day.

This place is truly magical. The air feels cleaner when you enter the grounds and your mind feels clearer. The arboretum has a lot to offer. For those with kids, there's a hands on children's garden; which involves mazes, climbing and water all just right for little people.

For those that want to enjoy nature there are the well manicured paths surrounding the visitor center as well as, natural hiking trails surrounding the entire arboretum.

The visitor center can be very busy and crowded during the day, especially hot days, however once you start on a hiking trail, it's just you and the vegetation.

The arboretum has a nice cafe, that has air conditioning for those super hot days that overlooks a beautiful pond. There is also outdoor seating as well. The prices for the cafe are kind of high for the quality of food, but hey your paying for convenience;).

There is a Tram tour ( separate fee)that takes you through parts of the arboretum with an experienced guide to explain the history of the trees and different areas. History of trees may not appeal to some, but this was a great relaxing and informative experience. I have only been in summer, but I cant wait to experience the seasonal changes for fall, winter and spring. Highly recommend spending an afternoon or two here!

This place is so beautiful. You can unwind and go for a hike or attend any of their events they host. The kids area is a really cool place for kids to run around and get some energy out. They're open every day but only allow dogs on certain days throughout the year.

The kids play area is great. We always have fun, but wish I had the time to explore the rest of the place more without kids.

Surprisingly, I wasn't that impressed with the Illumination at Christmastime. We go back for the kids to see it though.

Spent a hot sunny Thursday here with my girlfriend. Although a bit pricy to enter, it was absolutely serene and lovely learning about trees from all over the world. Not crowded, perfect to enjoy without bumping into anyone else. Driving through the arboretum was also a wonderful experience.

A nice place to share a walk and or pack a picnic lunch. Groomed walking paths with placards naming the different varieties of trees, bushes, and flowers. $15/adults, children eaten on site by ravenous birds.

Great place to walk, and we saw people biking that seemed to be having a good time. Definitely encourage walking though if you want to hunt the trolls. No trash receptacles or places to refill water bottles, so plan accordingly before you start your longer walks.

While pricey for a single visit, membership is a great value. The children's garden is extensive with lots of different play areas including a place to play in the water and different planned activities. They have a restaurant, but outside food is allowed and there are several areas with picnic tables. We especially love the Christmas light show.
