Fantastic place year round... The holiday lights are a must see!

The Morton Arboratum is a wonderful experience for anyone who loves trees, gardens or nature... We spent hours walking around and probably still haven't seen everything they have to offer... It was a delightful experience...

It's like a really great forest preserve but without the creepy dudes.

But seriously, it's beautiful, peaceful and well worth a visit.

There are fireplaces on the trail to warm up.
Good time to spend with family and kids.

We've been members for almost a year now, and can't wait to renew our membership and do it all over again! A beautiful place to get some exercise, fresh air, and a break from it all.

Very crowded, lights were beautiful. Some people were rude stopping in center of walks, and not moving.

Wonderful trails for walking and paved roadways for cars and bicycling are laid out throughout this beautiful Arboretum. Entry fee is required or yearly memberships are available.

Have visited the Arboretum at intervals since childhood, and it is better each time. Beautiful scenery and trees. Fantastic children's maze (now that the hedges are fully grown), Children's Garden. Wonderful hiking, biking (and driving) trails. Narrated open-air tram tours of the grounds are a delight. Pleasant restaurant. A great way to spend a reasonably priced day. You will enjoy the immense beauty of the place and learn a lot in the process - a definite highlight of NE Illinois (though the Morton Arboretum boasts trees from all over the world).

Love this place. Pack your lunch box,grab your comfortable shoes and spend entire day outdoor. Away from electronics...score!!!!

We've been members for years and plan on being so for years to come. It's a place of refuge and solitude in the Western suburbs.

This was a place I never expected to go to and I could of never been so wrong. I went with my family for the light show event and I was impressed by this event. This was something I would of never thought I would ever do but I am glad I went.

Always a magical experience. I've been coming here since I was a kid and it's amazing too see all the new offerings they have.

Excellent place for a relaxing walk and peaceful atmosphere. The troll hunt was a great time for us and our granddaughter. The artist did a wonderful job

Lights were beautiful, loved fires and hot chocolate. Would have loved more music and a more festive atmosphere.

The illumination display was gorgeous and worth the ticket price.

Lots of wild animals and it's fun to walk some trail...feel like in a real forest green

The Morton Arboretum is a glorious place in which to absorb peace, quiet, and the beauty of trees. Today I visited specifically to enjoy the Troll installations, and I highly recommend this for families of all ages. I was told by park officials that the Trolls will be on display for at least another year.

It was awesome..took so many pictures & videos,but they don't show the true beauty & hard work that went into this experience, need 2 c it in person...Really delicious hot chocolate!!!!

Attended a wedding at the Thorton education center. Absolutely beautiful setting and accomodating staff.

A beautiful and peaceful place with different scenery year round. Good food selections for a park, more than fast food.

The arboretum is a great place to take kids. We can usually spend a few hours here, just walking around and visiting the kid area. The Cafe inside is also great for lunch or a snack, they have alot of options for picky kids and adults. (beer and wine too!) check out the troll hunt, be prepared to walk... Alot. Get a membership, it's worth it.

Beautiful place to walk around. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. We had been there a few times to see the light show and decided to purchase a pass for this year. The first time we were there after we bought our membership, we went to member services and they were very helpful to show us layout of facility, let us know programs that were going on, and what some of their favorite things were. That was very helpful.

Good for walk but not much when not in illumination time frame.

This place is beautiful!!! I will bring my bike next time too- there's paved roads to ride on. Went during COVID. The times entry made for a very quiet visit. There were times it felt like we were the only ones there!!

The Morton Arboretum is always hosting special events that interest many to come and explore. I know that it's always a fun adventure going on any normal day to check out the trails, paths and open areas. I especially like going when it's not as crowded this is usually at off times early or later in the day. Also going when it's cold or inclement weather seems to work! When you've decided to go please be sure to be prepared especially during warmer weather to keep ticks and other bugs off yourself wear longer pants instead of shorts.

Such a beautiful place to take a walk and enjoy the outdoors. Tons of trails that are very well kept.

We celebrated my daughters Birthday! We all had an amazing time.

Where do I even begin to start to gush about my experiences here? I LOVE this arboretum. I have been coming here since I was a child and it's just as amazing now as it was then if not more amazing now! The trolls were an incredible addition to the beautiful forests and flowers. Looking forward to my next peaceful day in the forest already!

I always love exploring here! The grounds are extensive and beautiful.

We first went to the glass pumpkin patch last year, and loved it so much we bought a year membership. After a year and several visits, it was definitely worth it. The events are all very enjoyable, and the trees and flowers are beautiful. Some of the prices on things in the gift store are a little high, but the proceeds go towards the arboretum itself rather than profit.

There are many species of plants and there are various trekking courses. There are plenty of spaces where children can play friendly.

A good place to get close to nature while biking, walking, taking photos.

Such a beautiful place to visit and with their current Troll exhibit it is even more awesome! This place is larger than you expect and offers so many events and activities for all ages.

Nice grounds but it needs more nature and less structures.

Went here for luminaria at Christmas time! Unbelievable light show! Recommend everyone to see this place!

Did a 7mile run here. Amazing view, smells, sounds.

This is a beautiful area with very nice talking paths and scenery. The facilities on site are also wonderful. I attended a child's birthday party in the area, and the staff integrate gardening into the activities for the kids, which they loved. They also had a special attraction with a park-wide troll hunt with whimsical set ups (see the pic)

Summer flowers were beautiful. Walking trails were very peaceful for the two of us.

Wow. There was something for everyone at the Arboretum. The kids had a blast in the children's garden and it's great that they encourage kids to climb and play in the water! The drive through portion was beautiful as well. Well worth the entry fee and so glad we visited.

The lights were great but most of the beer was barely palatable.

The light show was great ,the band was great. The weather could have been warmer.

Illumination is something you'll have to see in your own eyes. It is breathtaking and it gave me goosebumps. Its beautiful! Highly recommend!

The trolls are fun. They can be a hike between but you can drive close to all but 1 troll.

It can take almost an hour to get in during the fall season, but it's worth it to see all the beautiful trees.
