I enjoyed the Arboreteum greatly! From riding in the car to walking the trails. Restaurant was excellent. I had veggie quesadilla and my friend had a turkey sandwich with homemade chips. Portions were filling. View from the seating was absolutely beautiful while we ate. Staff were full of information and had answers to our questions about trees. They even directed us to fascinating off the beaten path places that they themselves love. Great day! Thank you!

I am a frequent visitor to the Arboretum. In addition to the 1700 acres of beautiful woods, lakes, and meadows, they offer great art installations, informative hikes, and a wonderful visitor's center, restaurant, and gift shop. Something for everyone!

Nice place for a walk, a bike ride and to see the trolls. If you like nature this is it. The trolls are awesome, park is clean, the price is kind of high so if you go take your time and get the most out of your day and your money. There is nothing to do but just look around and relax.

This place is intended for people who are nature fanatics. The trees, eventhough from all parts of this planet thrive in the very well maintained grounds, look the same to my wife and I. Eventhough we are not the environmental scientific minded people, it was interesting to see that the trees and bushes from all over the world look the same.

Beautiful trees and flowers every where! My children loved searching for the huge wooden trolls. I was very impressed by the LEGO sculptures! We would have liked to spend more time there but we had already made plans; I think at least four hours would have been ideal.

the troll hunt was awesome. It was a great hike to see wonderful art. The visitor center has good bathrooms, gift shop that is cute but pricey, and cafe with big windows overlooking a pond. Lots of trees.

First-time visitors should know that there is a lot of walking at the arboretum. For the Troll Hunt - take your car, especially if it's your first time, like it is mine. I suggest downloading their app - it has the tours on there, and maps to go with each tour. The maze is closed for Covid. Bring a few bottled waters, a backpack, and a few snacks (that won't melt!) We came on a Friday, and there is plenty of room between folks, but masks are required, if you can't be less than 6ft apart/social distance, and inside of the buildings. Lavatories are throughout, and there's plenty of sun and shade. Enjoy! PS you really do have to park by #4 or #5 lot to see Joe. The road will not get you any closer.

Recently joined the Thornhill Society of Morton Arboretum. A good friend recommended Morton Arboretum as a great place to invest in the environment, the preservation of trees, and a tax deduction. Sounds mundane! I have learned what the scientific staff has done and what they are doing. I'm learning new things and that is what retirees strive for. There are hikes and car vistas to die for- and this is flat Illinois. As a Thornhill member I get some perks- I can bring a few car loads of family to enjoy the childrens' garden, the tram, and enjoy the vistas. I get invited to special hikes guided by the experts. We are also members of their Photo Society and meet monthly for photography lectures and an annual exhibit. The Morton Arboretum Staff seems to have a single FOCUS. Bring people in and cater to their needs. We previously had the member level membership for anytime access. That is great for families. Somehow the Arboretum has created an environment where all "members" get their reward. Clearly, there is no government funding. The Arboretum is for the people.

Beautiful light show. Friendly people. People guiding cars for parking very helpful and they didn't cram cars so close that you had trouble getting out. Wonderful place for families to enjoy.

My family and I went for the first time for the troll hunt. Great idea to get families out hiking and spending time together in nature! We had a blast, the scenery between trolls is beautiful (I took lots of pictures) and the troll statues are incredible! All of the staff members that we spoke with during our trip were helpful and kind, and were happy to help. We purchased a family membership before leaving. Excited to go back! Go see the trolls!

If you love trees and want an escape from urban/suburban life this is the place to go in the Western suburbs. But pricey unless you buy a membership and use it. The childrens' garden is nice for kids and the maze is fun. My favorite thing, though, is just to enjoy the varied outdoor scenery as stated he seasons change. If that is the sort of thing you like, you are likely to enjoy the Arboretum too.

Great place to go see Christmas lights on the decorated trees in November and December. Your walking outdoors so plan your trip on a warmer evening and buy tickets in advance online. They have some BOGO offers on tickets.

A nature wonderland with an admirable mission. If you don't want to rough it, you can have an entire nature experience from the comfort of your car just driving around and stopping to look. If you do want to rough it, they have hiking trails to suit the casual (including children) and the dedicated alike.

Very pricey to get in, but really if you are going to come here often you want a membership and then it becomes a good deal. No pets allowed except on rare special events, though, so don't imagine yourself jogging the paths with your four-legged friend.

They have events and artistic exhibits going on all year long. I am particularly fond of the illumination event in the winter- it's a traditional anniversary celebration with my girlfriend. So the Morton Arboretum is a place you can return to and find fresh things to do, see, and learn.

Great place to spend a lot of timewith tons of different paths to walk on different types of surfaces (asphalt, gravel and wood chips). The visitor center has a lot to offer with a gift shop, food court and information desk. There's also a children's garden that's great to keep the kids busy for awhile.

Visited the arboretum for the very first time Friday, July 27th and it was AMAZING. It was so very peaceful and serene that morning that my colleague and I became so engrossed in our discussion about the absolutely beautiful scenery that we were unaware that we had, according to her Fit Bit, walked/hiked 6 miles! This is an excellent place to take children and is sure to be a favorite for nature lovers as well. I will most definitely visit this place again.

We are members here and just love this place to come and unwind and ride our bikes, motorcycle, car or just take a few hours hike in nature. The holiday light display is a real treat. Just gorgeous. They have fall fun activities and a tram ride that is always educational. What a privilege to have this in Lisle.
