Beautiful place filled with a treasure of trees and plants.
Beautifully kept grounds with lots to see. We had a family reunion picnic in the children's garden area where there is a covered patio to rent. Very nice!
We recently used the Morton for a photo shoot. Despite the coooooold weather this place was absolutlly stunning.
Make sure to check out the scultptures and the long paths.
Beautifully kept grounds, wonderful hiking trails through lush woods.
My wife and I visited the Morton arboretum for the Lights event. There were interactive lights everywhere with music and snack stations. Although there was a fee for entry, it was well worth it. Great place to go in general regardless of the season.
Surreal. A wondrous place. The grounds are beautifully groomed. It's like transporting into a fairytale.
Morton Arboretum is a great place to visit and enjoy nature. Open grounds and great trees. A good way to relax. It's best to take membership if you would like to visit often
Great place for families with family friendly activities but also great for those looking for a long relaxing hike the arboretum is huge and offers a range of hiking trails.
Expensive but still a great family place for a walk. The children's play area is not to be missed.
This place is so beautiful! The art faire occuring there was wonderful as well.
Love the fun things for kids to climb and so beautiful!
Such a beautiful place to visit, and they have some really fun activities to enjoy. Its beautiful to enjoy all year, especially fall when all the trees leaves are changing color.
The arboretum is large and requires multiple trips to see it all. The statuary changes regularly and the colors in fall are amazing. There are foot, bike, and car paths so no matter what your mobility are the weather is like, you can enjoy the park.
My first visit to the Chicago area. I really enjoyed coming to the arboretum.
Went for my bday!!! Beautiful sunny 85 degree day. Just a great great day. So glad we went. Great place to spend a day enjoying nature!!!
Loved this place and will be going again. The price was a bit steep in my opinion. Once you get in and walk around, you realize how large the place is and how well maintained it is. You can go here multiple different days for multiple hours and still only cover a small part of the part.
They always do an amazing job decorating for illumination. Tickets sell out fast, I highly suggest you buy early
Horrible system to drive in off 53. Been in line over one hour.
Traffic backed up over three miles. With the light only letting in 1-3 cars each time. They need to hire traffic cops.
Wonderful place to visit. Lots of activities year round
One of my favorite places to go for a walk, anytime of the year
The Arboretum Illumination is totally worth seeing. Just make sure you purchase tickets well in advance as they tend to sell out.
Very relaxing drive ill will say. The feel is quiet but also gives you a sense of calm. Many activities to be done here but just the hike or drive thru the arboretum, are enough to appreciate the location.
Loved the holiday lights display. There are lights that are synchronized to music, and lights with patterns that are projected onto rows of trees.
No matter what season it is, this place is beautiful!!!
Beautiful. Well managed with the new restrictions in place. Troll Hunt is so fun!
Amazing,. Did the troll hunt and found the hideout.
One of the best place for kids lots of fun every season
Can't wait to take the tram ride this ball and see the great colors we go every year great memories
The day we went was absolutely gorgeous. Took a lot of amazing photos and got to walk around and see a lot. Id like to come back and hike around in the summer. We also are planning to come back for the light show this year.
I register for a class and they take my address information from the credit card transaction. I provided a different address and they still took the address from the credit card. Now, I am getting paper spam in the mailbox. The irony of the Arboretum wasting paper to spam people who never consented to using their physical address.
Had to stop and see the troll saving to all the sheeple.
Absolutely spectacular light show. Everyone should see it. All ages would find it awesome, from young tots to seniors. Don't miss this.
We enjoyed the Arb at least once a week.Yes, we are members:)
The Morton Arboretum is a great place for nature lovers. It's a great place to see a wide variety of flowers and trees. Highly recommend coming to see the lights around Christmas time.
The special exhibits are always interesting, innovative, and well curated. During my last visit I had to make sure I saw the LEGO exhibit. It was breathtaking. This peacock was amazing. In an earlier couple of visits it took two visits to find all the trolls. Workmanship on them is fantastic! I m a member, so I was able to enjoy the hunt in a couple of visits. I deducted one star because frankly while I love the space, I often don t quite feel quite welcomed by Visitor Center staff. Most times I avoid it, as there are restrooms elsewhere. Otherwise, a beautiful respite in the suburbs.
Love this place. One of my favorite places in the world.
If you had a few lifetimes you still wouldn't have enough time to spend enjoying the Arboretum.
We went troll hunting today! They were creative and fun to find. Great gift shop. Children's garden was very interactive. Lawns are kept well. Trees are marked in groves with identification. You can bring a picnic and spend hours keeping the kids active and full of questions. Only one bathroom so take advantage! Many seasonal events to take advantage of while there.
Beautiful place, you walk a lot, preferable to be prepared, I recommend it
Nice venue even for a cold, cold January wedding & reception.
Beautiful arboretum and spectacular events. Friendly and knowledgeable staff! Thank you!
This is a great place to walk around. Always see something new
One the most beautiful locations around! Every season has its special attractions, but in the spring and fall it is a must see attraction! There is a wonderful childrens play area to keep the little ones happy.
I love the west side of the arboretum. There are gorgeous collections of crab apples and magnolias. The large areas of daffodils should not be missed. Fewer visitors and less noisy than the east side. Marmo lake trail has a collection of redbud trees that are stunning in the spring.
The main area, on east side, has a beautiful walk around another lake. There are seasonal displays along its path. If course, covid has changed those events firvthe Immediate future.
It is such a peaceful place with so many varieties of trees and shrubs that it is worth a visit at anytime of year.
Only worth the entry fee if you spend an entire day.
Amazing variety of trees in a huge, beautiful location.
Great place for any person. Beautiful children's garden and lots of activities at all time. I recommend it to anyone.
Paid a visit to the Arboretum today. I picked up some boxes of note cards at the gift shop and went for a long walk. It was cloudy and cool, but the staff I encountered at the gate and gift shop were warm and sunny. A great place to visit to connect to the beauty of God's creation.
If you like nature and a wonderful walk its a good place to go. We went to the illustration of lights. So beautiful
Wonderful place to walk trails through groves of global sourced trees. As well as bring your bike early in the morning to cycle some good hills on some very nice circuit roads. Great place to exercise in multi-million dollar landscaped setting. Fun stuff for families with small children as well.
I'm from Florida, and we don't have Gardens as beautiful as this that you would have to travel a great distance to go and see, I just wish the price was a little more reasonable for a family to come and visit.
Nice place to be among a variety of different plants and trees all year round.
tree, lots scenery, fresh air nice place too take long walk by yourself or with wifey I didn't like paying for Parkin
This place is beautiful. But spendy. It costs $14 per person, just to get in, just for a walk around the grounds. Nothing else is included in that price. There are lots of interesting things for purchase, all of which are priced well over what you would expect to pay for what it is. Would probably visit more often, but the cost is prohibitive.
Highly recommend becoming a member if you plan on visiting a few times a year.
Good fun for the family and good spot for a date as well
Tickets for illuminations way too expensive even as a member. Nothing very original or exciting. Much more fun to do Zoo lights.
Beautiful! Love coming here for the holiday lights and the new summer trolls!
Very nice place for family visit. We got their yearly membership and have been there for quite a few times this year. I think the best time to visit is obviously summer. However, somebody also claims that it has a unique view in the winter.
