This is my first time here during summer and although it was a beautiful day and there were lots of trails to walk, it was quite expensive to get in and eat. It costed 50$ for two adults and two kids to get in, and then 31$ for us to eat there. I dont know I just feel 50$ was quite expensive just to get it. However, I would come back because my son had an absolute blast with everything. Maybe next time there will be more flowers though and all the water will be cleaned and much more clear.

All time fav! Absolutely beyond beautiful. So many variety of trees to observe and learn about. One could drive, bike or walk. The history behind the arboretum is amazing. The Morton's family cemetery is also here. Grab your camera! If local you should think of getting a membership. It is so worth it.

Visited this place yesterday with friends. Very beautiful scenic place..actually we wanted to see fall colours but didn't want to go to wisconsin for it.. here we got to see beautiful fall colours...very huge park..come in the morning when it opens as it;s huge area, and needs more time to explore..we came here at 4 pm as we were exploring some other places , but still we got 2 hrs as it closes by 6. and we made most of it and covered as many things as we could..took long walk ,saw beautiful colours, took photographs, visited morton arboretum store too..it has also nice collection of things but it's costly..entrance fees of park is 12 $ per person which I think it's little expensive..it should be 5 $. but they have maintained the property very well..if you are in downtown chicago and looking for nearby place to see fall colours, this option is really good

The arboretum is a great place for a walk or run, but bring the bug spray in the summer because I was eaten alive in mid-July!

That being said, it has areas for kids & adults in a beautiful area where you can really enjoy the outdoors and get a unique view of trees and plants from around the world.

This was my first time there. I am sorry I have not gone sooner. It was just beautiful! It was very relaxing and calming. The Trolls are a wonderful addition and so impressive. Put it on the must go list!

Really well organized events and staff is very friendly. It's annoying that you can only bring your pets on a few specific days, but oh well, the environment is still worth it. My only complaint is that a few staff members are a but rude and snippy, particularly some of the more veteran staff. Some younger faces would really help that out. The environment will take your breath away, but we wish there were more extensive hiking trails.

Such a beautiful place to disconnect and be one with nature. We have also experienced the Hunting For Trolls exhibit and the Scary Fairy Tale Walking Play. Both were impressive and so much fun. We definitely love coming here and will be back!

Miles of beautiful trails, peaceful place to get away from it all, and a variety of trees and plants from all over the world. It's a fun place for kids, as well. Nice playgrounds and a massive tree fort for the bigger kids.

If we lived closer, we would definitely become members. We were very impressed with the children's garden section while we were there. We also came to see the trolls which were magnificent! Might be my favorite place in Illinois.

Trees. Expect trees.

Trees. Expect trees.
Seriously this is a beautiful place all year round.

Went on a Saturday, got tied up in traffic at entrance, but the initial hassle was totally worth it. Loved the Fragrance Garden and the Origami Sculptures. Just scratched the surface. Looking forward to making more visits.

Do not waste your time!!!

Do not waste your time!!!
It is $15 per adult and you see only trees.
No flowers or something more unknown for the people who live in this area. And nobody take care for the mosquitoes!! So you pay $15 for something that is not quite different than busse woods and you are going home perforated by the mosquitoes.

Love the arboretum! Went to see the trolls and take in the beauty. The troll exhibit was so fun and enjoyable and the best part, it's not just for kids! Also the light show in winter is wonderful. Very impressive show.

It's all about trees.

It's all about trees.

So, if you know how to breath without your mouth open, you really outta know about these trees. You'll open your mouth and say "Wow!"

Beautiful place with friendly staff. Walked 8 miles and enjoyed every minute of it. Packed a lunch and ate under a tree, the picnic tables were removed from the picnic area. Can't wait for my next visit.

Morton Arboretum is large and divided into two sections. You can park and walk for miles or drive on a one way paved road thru either side. If you hold a current membership in Chicago Botanical Gardens as we do, it is all free.

Walking or driving slowly through the Arb, it's hard to believe you're one of the largest Metro areas in the country. Something here for everybody, every day and their special events and educational program are beyond compare.
