Absolutely loved our visit here, so many treasures, expected and unexpected. The staff were very helpful and informative. We couldn't see it all in one day and do it justice so we're planning to come back and do it all again. It was lovely sitting in the courtyard by the reflecting pools and people-watching too.

Adrian Piper's collection is a must see
Not to forget that famous pieces of Monet as well as Van Gogh's Stary night are there

Beautiful Museum with wonderful art.
The only thing was that we were freezing in June because of the air conditioner.
Also some members of the staff were quite unfriendly.
But all in all it was a great experience.

Wide range of art, including some famous pieces like Van Goh's "Starrry Night" and Monet's "Water Lilies", and an interesting layout (building/inside), albeit too maze-like and narrow at times. The two negative aspects that lower my rating are:
1) The museum is WAY too crowded, further compounded by people who bring strollers (especially large ones) and those who insist on standing across/blocking the rather narrow halls. --> very claustrophobic
2) The ticket prices are excessive for the relatively limited amount of artwork/small-ish museum size. (Even more so if the overcrowding and claustrophobic layout are taken into account.)

Even though I'm not really an arts guy, I was wow'd by the pieces that were here. There is so much to see, read and learn that anyone could spend a whole day here. Got in for free with the use of the Sightseeing Pass.

Can be overly crowded with tourists but it s in a fantastic location and has a great collection of impressionist and modern arts. If you go during the summer, the film series they offer are also very interesting and delightful. They also have jazz concerts and musical performances in the garden during the summer. A must visit if you are in NYC!

Almost 40 years ago I took a kids' tour of MoMA and got a cookie at the end. Now here is my son after the Tour for Fours.

Tip: Weekend kids' tours are free and come with free museum admission for the family..

If you're looking to see Van Gogh's Starry Sky, this is the place you have to go.

This museum is huge! Multiple floors of modern art from highly popular artists and the building itself is a work of art itself.

If you visit NYC this is definitely one of the places to see.

If you are planning to go here, you should know what to expect.
I went with my wife and got tix on the door - they allowed my UK student card and I was allowed in with a $14 charge.
The bag / coat check was super efficient, and it allows you to wonder around without the accompanying worry of carrying more things.

There is a plethora of art there, as you would expect. Whilst some people can spend a whole day there, we saw enough to keep us occupied in 3-4hrs. Some f the objects were beyond me, but there was a large variety so I was not losing out.

Staff were friendly and ensure that you don't step over the floor markers.
Well worth the visit if you want to embrace some culture, and a great way to whittle away a few hours in clam (I guess we went off peak, so were fortunate).

The MoMA has reopened last Thursday, August 27th. They have implemented a new screening system at the entrance. As all NYC museums a mandatory 25% capacity is in place. The Judd exhibit is stunning. Until September 28th, 2020, you can only book online for free tickets. You cannot have an excuse!!

MOMA is an awesome museum be sure to check out the areas near stairs and elavators or you'll miss some gems like Andy Warhol 's Marilyn Monroe in gold or Paul Cezanne's Self Portrait. So many seminal works by various artists you should add this to your must see bucket list.

It was a great experience to visit this centre of art. Originals works of Van Gogh and Picasso are displayed here. The great museum is more precious than Empire State and World Trade Centre.
Starry night alone is enough to justify my travel from Pakistan to US.

It's a must if you visit this town!
Even if you know nothing about art you're going to enjoy it because it has diferent kind of exhibitions and the free guides are great, they have an app where you can listen to audios related to the artists, track your itinerary and take pictures then it is send to your mail to re-enjoy the visit.
Besides the shop is awesome, you can spend hours just trying everything!

Great Museum! Definitely a "must do" on a trip do New York. Here you can check great famous pieces of art, from artists as Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, Dali, Rousseau... Also, don't miss the MoMA Design Store!

Top 5 museum of all time. They host big events and always try to keep things interesting each year. I attended the Yoko Ono opening event as a plus one where they served champaign, wine, and little finger foods while they had a band play. It was cool to see the curated pieces before the general public were able to. But what can I say, Yoko Ono, top 5 overrated artist of all time. Am I right? Actually maybe not she had some cool ideas.

Really good museum. It s very well curated and architecturally beautiful. They have many collections featuring very impressive works by many artists and also very often have temporal exhibits of various topics. If you go in the morning there s no much a crowd and you get to enjoy all the art in peace. The gift shop is pretty amazing, they have everything from art books to tote bags and furniture. It s definitely worth a visit, though there s no way to see all of it in just one day so you ll have to come back!!

Beautiful museum with tonnes of stuff to see. Everything from paintings to vases to Faberge eggs. Has a nice rooftop cafe and restaurant with a great view. Definitely worth spending the day there, even if you are not a massive fan of art.

Modern Art is something else. There's a lot of interesting art here. Some I liked, others I didn't. I expect that while you might enjoy different exhibits, that you, like me, won't enjoy them all.

Apart from famous collections, MoMA is at NYC prime location, 5th Ave, close to Rockefeller Center and Central Park. It's outdoor setting, called Sculpture Garden, provides me the best break time during the museum visit.

It is a private museum and therefore more costly than public museums. They are very efficient here, they do offer a great range of offers and discounts for members. The museum itself does have quite a permanent collection, ranging from Picassos, Matisses, Degas, Klimt and much more. It's a must see if you ever visit New York!

Beautiful museum with several floors of art. Be sure that you like modern art before going as art us subjective and modern art isn't for everyone. Paying at the kiosk was fast an easy. You're allowed to take photos without a flash. Enjoy!

Great spot to see a film! I don't know if City of Gold is going to be playing here, but do see it if you can. It's a love story between the Pulitzer LA did critic, Jonathan Gold and LA's food scene.

Terrific gallery with masterpieces I never thought I would get to see. Swung by on the free evening; very busy near some classic paintings, a mosh pit for Vincent! No one near others! So much great art it's hard to take it all in. Hope to return one day! people seem in a great mood to, I got off some shots for my Street Fashion Sydney's New York edition blog too!

Modern art is not my main go to art, although the impressionists are great. That said, this is a very nice museum that is well laid out and with many good pieces. We went specifically for Starry Night (as awesome as expected) but also loved the Degas exhibit and the store was very nice too. Can definitely recommend a visit to anyone interested in art, even though the $25 entry is a bit excessive. As an aside...buy your tickets online and skip the line. You just have to show them your purchased ticket on your phone, way easier than waiting to see a cashier.

This is one of the best museums I have ever gone to and it's ALL because of their visitor services department. Sometimes I barely look at the art cause I just love all the visitor services employees so much!

Also, I'm not an art critic, but it has some of the best arts money can buy. That painting with the thing? One of the best of those I've seen in a long time!

I really like the MoMA. The exhibits rotate through at a nice rate - there long enough for you to catch them yet they move enough that you feel like there's just enough new content passing through. I also like the variation in their permanent exhibit. Don't miss the museum store - it's super fun.

This is a great art museum, but it is pretty crowded. there is a lot of wonderful artworks by known artist like Monet, Van Gogh, and Andy Warhol. Also, there are a few works by current artist. an awesome place to visit if you really love art.

What could have been an excellent trip to moma was unfortunately mired by an onslaught of new yorkers wanting to visit before they shut down for 4 months for renovations. Perhaps they should have limited the numbers to make it more comfortable for everyone.

A superb collection of pieces by artists such as Picasso, Dali, van Gogh, Rousseau, Cezanne, Pollock, etc. Enjoyed the sculpture garden and the vibrancy of the whole space. An overall decent experience!

of course a wonderful place. my favorite spot is the sculpture garden in the morning when there are only a few people and you can relax over coffee and enjoy the experience. however I recently made the mistake of dropping by at lunch time and it was wall to wall people. my advice -- after twelve stay inside and reliable the exhibits

Super stupid policy and it was not written before you purchase the tickets which is you have to check in the bag. And it was not equal The staff who scan the ticket just visionally decide who need to check the bag regardless the size. And they can t provide the fast service for the bag checking. I literally waited like 50mins for checking in the bag. Which was ridiculous. It s is so in-affection for a modern museum like this. So disappointed.

Very angry, the museum is under rehabilitation but you only notice it when you go to the 6th floor to see Andy Warhol, Keith Haring... and the employes tell you that is impossible because of the rehabilitation. Go to the MoMA and be unable to see Warhol and Haring is like going to the Louvre and be unable to see the Mona Lisa... Shame.

Love the new layout, the art here is mesmerizing. Highly recommend doing the audio guides, as they provide a lot of background information on the paintings and help you see into the past of the painting and more.

Great place for art but just too crowded and confusing. They supposedly check all bags and don't allow water bottles inside... but it all depends on your luck. Some come through, the others don't. I ended up having to throw my water bottle away while another woman just passed the security with a bottle and nobody said a thing. Oh well.
