My son was recently in an accident on his 4 wheeler. He eneded up cutting his middle toe needing stitches, Nurse practice (Monica) was the one who attended him. She was very careless and rough with his wound, we returned 10 days after to have stitches removed and again we came across her, she eneded up being the one to remove his stitches. she pulled and tugged on them so hard his wound is now reopened never again will I go to the medical center again.

Would give this hospital a"0" if it were on the scale!!!!! My daughter went there when she tripped on concrete while walking out of office and skinned her knee VERY DEEP and they did not remove the bandage and look at it!!! It was infected bad and took 2 months to finally heal and she had insurance!!!! And my grandson went recently for a bite on his chest and DID NOT PUT MEDICATION on it and especially failed to give him a techna shot!!!!! Would NOT recommend this hospital to anyone! And it's really a shame this is a beautiful facility and we really need it in our area. I would choose Baptist hospital anyday!
ER staff is overworked because people use it in place of a regular office visit. If you have a minor ailment, do not go to the Emergency Room at any hospital. Go to your primary care physician or a minor care clinic. The ER is for life threatening emergencies or major trauma. Not a sore throat or constipation.
My husband was admitted through Victory emergency room and in ICU for 1 day, then private room for 6 days. The wound on his leg was seen by physical therapy department one time, they looked at it, put a large bandage on it, then told my husband the nurses would take care of it. The nurses said it was physical therapies job to take care of it. Needless to say no one took care of it. By the fifth day we removed the bandage ourselves so someone would look at it. The wound was in dire need of being cleaned and redressed. The doctor on call took one look at it and an hour later physical therapy was in there cleaning the wound and redressing it. When he was released we were told home health would call us to set up a visit to keep an eye on the wound. It's been 4 days, no call yet. Someone has dropped the ball.
From the check in nurse to the doctor, they were perfect! They listened to my problem, the were very concern and they found my reason for going to the Emergency room. Very nice and clean. Thank you for helping me.
I had a very rewarding experience during my stay at your center. The nurses were very caring, and some helped me through a very stressful time. The doctors came in and spoke to me and answered all my questions. During this stressful time of covid, they took time to put me at ease, and that's greatly appreciated. Most of all, you have a guy there that came in and transported me to surgery, that made me not only comfortable but actually, feeling very good about the whole thing. He ended his time with me by praying with me and worshiping. He made me feel like I was talking with my grandson. Thank you.
This place is horrible. Took over 24 hours to see a pjyscian. They give diuretics at night. The food isn't fit for swines. They don't care. Can't get help.
All of my experiences have been really good, except for when I went to the ER last Sunday night (4-25-21)!!!I was very dissatisfied with my care, to be perfectly honest; I didn t get any care... I never even got put in a room!!!I talked to a NP for maybe 10 seconds and to smartelic man for about 10 seconds...Neither one of them seemed to care about my health!!! I don t plan to use the ER at the Medical Center of SETX again...That is the worst experience that I have ever had at that ER...They did absolutely nothing for me!!!

Very good experience in the heart center. I've had 3 heart procedures here since 2012. The attendants, nurses, and doctors are very upbeat and explain each procedure thoroughly. I felt very comfortable and at ease throughout the entire visit.
Check in was fast and efficient. My test was preformed in a very professional manner. Doctors and Nurses were very professional and informative. Further testing will be performed at this facility
Worst hospital ever been to!!!. Would not treat me for High Blood pressure. Chest pain or kidney pain unless had 250.00. Because they dont see this as an emergency!!
my mom goes to this hospital every time she needs to and she gets excellent care. there isnt a better hospital. i recommend the medical center of SETX for anyones needs. this is an excellent hospital. i love this hospital.
The guy in the xray department was super friendly. I was so glad I could walk in after work and have my chest xray. Took a few minutes to go back, but they were super busy. I really would like to thank the xray technician for being so kind. I was nervous and worried and he made me feel relaxed.
Poor staffing i was at the hospital for 3 hrs bleeding bad from a dog bite and was told to go home or go to another hospital because I won't be seen anytime soon it won't be until after lunch time on the forth of July they don't deserve any stars
Excellent staff, Excellent care! My family and myself have been a patient in several areas of the hospital. From the ER to ICU to cath lab to surgery to the floors, we've always had excellent care from nursing staff, physicians, lab, respiratory, x-ray, and physical therapy.
I was in the ER at 2am till 130pm im diabetic and i couldn't get anything to eat i was starving and my sugar was low i felt terrible. The nurse practitioner on duty was very nice and the guy that checked me in was nice but i was just placed in a room and forgotten about for over 10 hours. I was about to take my IV out myself and go to a Beaumont hospital I'm very upset about my visit here

Terrible unorganized got there at 12:30 for a 1:15 appointment for labs didn t leave until 4pm.l got shuffled all around the hospital no communication between staff
Went tonight with my daughter who is about to be 22 months old. She got a hold of vape liquid which was what I thought was no where she could reach. I was wrong and was scared that my little girl might be poisoned. Showed up the ER. Nurse great and doctor great. But when someone shows up with what I was telling them, if she ingested enough it could of been fatal. Thank God she was okay. My complaint is I waited a hour in the lobby. Someone possibly poisoned should be right there with heart problems or someone having problems breathing. A hour wait is ridiculous and unacceptable. Thank you to the doctor and nurses that helped me and thank the Lord my daughter is okay.
my room mate was just in the er there's a new guy that wears a blue shirt as soon as he seen her he automaticly told her without hearing why she is there he inturn told her that she wasn't getting anything for pain i'd like to see his cridentals and if he graduated from college with a degree that says no one is getting anything for pain or even checked out to see what's up the guy was un professonal and rude is this what the er is for to turn people away without doing test she is dehydrated and weak and she should have not been turned down i'd like to see him with pain i guarenty he would be begging for something for pain and he would get it and to be honest it shouldn't go by how many times someone has been in the er people in general don't go in the er for nothing there are some er dr's we like and 1 doctor who is rude he don't have any bedside manners his name is dr mirakahor he shouldn't even work in the er it seems like he likes handing out GI cocktail there are nurses though that go out of there way to help if needed.
Been here 7 hours with my mother. They don't get in any hurry. Talked to others that waited 10 or more hours. If your in need of attention in a reasonable time..don't come here.
My mother is currently in this hospital, on her third day. She can t eat and they still haven t figured outs what s wrong with her. I requested ice and an extra pillow twice for my mother and that was an hour ago...... still have not received it. They are more than likely short staff which causes the nurses to be rude no doubt. We are strongly considering taking my mother to a hospital in Houston.
My stay there was very brief I went for day surgery to have my left wrist that had been fractured reset. They were all nice and professional. The only beef that I have is after I went to recover I was really feeling weak and nauseated. I would have preferred to have stayed longer. But because I was told that my vitals were ok that meant it was time for me to go.
Very unprofessional. Was told by an e.r. nurse that i should've brought my 2 year old who was caughing up blood at 9 pm to a clinic because they did not have to treat him because it wasn't a life or death situation. Now i understand the workload the e.r. takes on every day due to people coming in for minor things because i work at 2 different hospitals in houston. But it's always supposed to be SERVICE 1st no matter what. This is down right ridiculous. What clinic is going to be open that late at night, i don't even live in the freaking area to know where any clinics are. They should have 0 stars for half-ass doing their jobs
At this time I really would like to share yet I'm afraid my parent's care will be affected............. let's see what happens. On 10/26/18 found out his D.N.R. WAS NOT HONORED!!!!! The hospital claims they didn't know he had one. Now since he's on a respirator the hospital has to treat him. Also, its very likely he'll NOT recover. So tell me, how many stars should I give???? On 10/27/18 he was taken off the respirator for close to 4 hrs. before taking his last breathe.
My doctor is located in the building / I had a CT scan and x-rays , through the hospital / I was treated with respect and wait time wasn't long / I would use them again /
Went in for serious iud pains..I was doubled over not able to even stand up straight for about 10 to 15 minutes in constant pain... told me it was perfectly normal and sent me on my way. Was in there for a whole 5 minutes and charged me for a nurse practitioner who contradicted herself the whole and who pushed on my tummy when I told her it hurt in return told me it was normal. All his happened in the lobby btw. Then on top of that charged me for a er doctor who I didn't even go back to see.
S L O W..... they are in no hurry I can assure you. I know we aren t the only patients that come in but having to sit in a lobby with an IV hanging from your hand, starving and thirsty and still waiting ......... 8 hours and counting . .... seriously take 15 more mins and drive to Beaumont. You ll thank me later
Nice facility HORRIBLE care. Inexperienced, untrained, unorganized mostly indifferent staff. Sons appendix ruptured during appendectomy. Nose tube inserted to drain stomach of toxins etc. Unfortunately it wasnt working and was told he must not have anything in his stomach. So he went 7 hours with no drainage until I told 2nd shift nurse and the tube was repositioned and machine turned on and almost 2 qts of blood clots, bile and what literally looked like green algae was finally drained. Had to ask and re-ask for care like emptying full incision drain, meds, toothbrush. Never replaced iv needle which on last day was told by nurse it should have been replaced at least 2 times. I told his surgeon the care he was receiving and he said "it's not the first time I've heard this but complaints fall on deaf ears". I could go on and on and I'm being polite but it was a true nightmare! NEVER leave a loved one alone there.
The representative who answers the phone when you first call is rude and talks very swiftly. I m not sure why someone would work at a place where you re suppose to care for others when clearly she doesn t. Please hire better staff.
EMERGENCY ROOM: I was the only one here @8:45am this morning on a Monday. And I am still waiting in the waiting room @10am, with 6 other families. People that came in after me are getting called in before me. I'm about to leave, this is ridiculous.
Horrible hospital, horrible staff. Once again IF YOU ARE IN HEALTH CARE ACT LIKE IT!!! It's not "let's see how much we can charge the next person." I went in with severe back pain and trouble breathing from an illness. They TURNED ME AWAY unless I could pay BEFORE anyone ever saw me!!
Edit: I DID email the email provided....here we are...8 months later....no response. But you bet they are still billing me AND screwing up my credit I have worked very hard on. Negative 1 star would be more like it. Thanks for the pretending to care that anyone was mistreated in your hospital. Just shut down already and let actual health care providers do their jobs.
I only put a star, because without it I wouldn t be able to write a review. I was having a miscarriage, and was left in the lobby for over an hour, I finally got put in a room, nobody came to check up for over 3 hrs.. while still passing blood clots and tissue .. I also asked for water and was never brought to me .. this place shouldn t be called a hospital.
So back in 2013 I came here for chest pains crazy I know well I informed them I didn't have insurance cause it hadn't kicked in yet they said it's okay we will work with you well yeah I tried they wouldn't listen or even be reasonable now I get a phone call from a company that represents these clowns telling me pay 3600 dollars by Friday or face a court really I mean like really I asked can we do a payment or something I tried to resolve this years ago that didn't work he says yes you can pay $600 a month I'm like what dude get real man be reasonable but they won't worst damn place ever oh and to top it off they mid diagnosed me and I ended up in a hospital in Houston for bigger problems freaking joke
These ppl are very busy and seemed understaffed. HOWEVER... the level of care they gave me was superb. Everyone knows their job and was constantly on their feet working. I saw no one just sitting around doing nothing. Although my wait time seemed very long to me, it was well worth the wait. The fact that I have no insurance didn't even seem to be an issue. I was treated with respect and dignity. They treated my health issue fantastically and prescribed me real medicine to help with my at home convalescence.

Worst wait ever. Doesn t matter if you are in visible pain or crying you will have to wait 4 hours before they even put you in a room and they will do minimal. Wouldn t be surprised if someone died with how terrible the wait times are. Someone needs to desperately fix the issues because there is no other hospitals locally that are any better.
If i could rate negative 20 stars i would.. went in with severe bleeding during pregnancy.. sat for two hrs had to ask for a cup to pee in if they were going to need urine sample and was told they were not going to do anything unless urine test came back abnormal.. so i came home to bleed to death for the second time in 8 days
Wish I could give it a 0 star. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. After being told that we were paid in full before leaving the hospital, we continue to get bills from this hospital and other providers whom we were never notified about from the hospital. When I called, a lady whose name starts with a C, and the associate on the phone before her, gave us false information, did not answer the questions we had regarding the legitimacy of these other random organizations sending out bills on behalf of this hospital, and even hung up on us. No wonder people want to pass laws regarding surprise billing. This hospital is a prime example of why those laws are necessary. Not sure how high up the organization this disregard for people goes, but it apparently includes C and the associate below her. In addition, after telling me not to interrupt her, C has the audacity and hypocrisy to interrupt me more than once.
The doctor that saw me was very thorough with his assessment, tests, etc. he was very informative and patient. He answered all my questions and I left feeling confident that my issues were addressed.
I wish I didn't have to leave a star but this place is disgusting the bathroom in the ER didn't even have soap pee was everywhere it's disgusting while we were there a baby threw up on the floor it's been hours and still no one has come to clean it up still just sitting on the floor! Honestly people need to go to utmb much better place and drs!!
This has been my first experiences at this Medical-Surgery Center. It was my General Practitioner s choice, not mine. Even so, I must admit I have had an excellent experience. They have a very courteous and informative staff.

I love this place. Been here so often I should have frequent flyer miles. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. They honestly seem to care about your treatment. This is the ONLY hospital I go to or recommend to friends.
Nurse on 4th floor very ugly, nasty attitude. Kept saying aloud how she hates her job, she feels like quitting. Oh my very unprofessional, she needs to quit or get fired. I really don't believe this is the best job for her, as her being a nurse I would never recommend her to care for no one, I sure wish I could have catch her name. But i did report it to the social worker she knew who I was talking about so apparently the tramp has this type of attitude on a normal daily basis.
My script didnt have a code,so i went back to the hospital to explain the situation,the nurse ask me to wait,she explained it to the Dr.n 15minutes later it was corrected,im grateful n i do thank you Staff
Would give zero stars if I could!! If your vital signs are stable and you do not have a temperature then there is nothing wrong with you according to them. Would not send a dead animal to them!!
My experience was good, everyone involved was very helpful concerned and courteous on making me pain free. I personally want to call out the 3rd floor for their Professionalism. Charge nurse head nurse room nurse and all of Dr. Beaudry s staff was very Professional and well trained. Hats off to all you guys and thank you for your honest care giving. They test for everything they can to rack up your bill they're money grabbers. Most of them don't care about your health and your privacy they rudly talk about you and all their ER patients loudly behind the nurses booth. I feel bad for anyone who walks in this place. I would go to hospitals in beaumont before even considering going here. If you step foot in this place they will test you for unreasonable things just so you owe them way over 1,000. I would avoid going here. Go to Beaumont. 3 days and my bill was 17,000 just to give you a idea.
Horrible they give me a false positive COVID - 19 TEST now I can't have the surgery that I was waiting for even when I test negative for 2 more tests, when it was there fault.

I miss Mid Jeffersons And St Mary's ER nurses are very rude the doctor include the ER room my Daughter was in just gross don't really like going the it the same negative attitudes........smh
My granddaughter has asthma and had several ER and inpatient experiences. She has always received prompt and excellent care. We would never go anywhere else
We literally waited so long for a result to come back for my son that is ill and continued waiting but still nothing so just decided leave because they had other patient that arrived afterwards and they seen him more times than my son who just literally waiting on a result
Took my 93 year old mom to the ER via ambulance...we were moved into the lobby for 5 hours going from one room to another,,,throughout the entire stay in the lobby... This is not an emergency care .... Then they had to draw blood twice because,,,the first draw was done to early for when they actually read it!!! Then to ex Ray and back into the lobby... She already can barely walk much less having to go back and forth into different areas,,,on top of that we had to use the lobby restroom to give them a urine specium...not clean enough!!! Nobody should have to go thru this experience when they are old and sick!!! When you are told it's not an extreme emergency!!! We called the ambulance to come get her because if she falls That's All For Her!!! She's 93 ok!!! Then to be told it's not an extreme Emergency,,,after her Doctor told us to get her to the ER....what kind of bull is this????!!!! Plus she is Diabetic and had no Food ,,,,she was treated terribly and so we're several other patients that morning...and the person admitting they can't even offer and get up to get someone a wheelchair...this is the worst experience for any person to go thru.. The treatment we received was poor...my dog gets better treatment at the vet!!! There staff is never happy and they stay on there phones... And they act like you are in there space.... They should put the cameras on the staff.... This hospital has sure gone down. It's a shame that the sick and elderly or the young are not getting the CARE they deserve when they are feeling ill or are bleeding and hurting...
Had to take my daughter here and after having used both the other Beaumont hospitals before I was quite satisfied with the treatment she received. We had labs done right away. The staff were effective which to me, effective is better than fake nice. She had a knowledgeable nurse and the Dr although young was direct and to the point which I like. My child has medical issues and I prefer to the point of the issue at hand. The wait was quite boring due to TV not working but we arent there for TV or refreshments. Once lab results were back and they made decisions on her treatment we were out in about 2hrs.
I recently had a baby and the staff that took care of me and my baby were awesome! Staff in the nicu were great and they were there to answer any questions that came up
If it was possible to leave a zero star rating I would have. This was the worst care I have ever received. The nurse came to the waiting room to discharge me and told me in front of the entire room what was wrong with me. Then she let me know the Dr wants me to follow up with my Dr for an MRI because they don't do mri's there. Even though they're a trauma center. When I asked what the MRI was for she said my neck pain..... I wasn't there for neck pain. But, what I was there for, you don't check with an MRI you do a lumbar puncture. GO TO ANY OTHER HOSPITAL!!!
Showed up with a torn muscle, gave me pain meds and sent me home. ER staff was nice, but the ER dr. was absolutely terrible, Very rude and vague on my diagnosis. Been here for about 4 months and it was a very big shock as to the way things work here. I thought you went to the hospital and they took care of you. Period.
My brother was admitted here today for having an untreated mental illness/psychotic episode. The ambulance brought him in and they released him 5 minutes later because he told them he was okay. Chip, the charge nurse, was completely unprofessional and told us if we didn t pick him, they were going to call the police on my brother for trespassing. Because I could not get to him in time, the Port Arthur police arrested a man in severe mental distress for trespassing at the same hospital an ambulance brought him to. When I asked the charge nurse to talk to him, he told me he was too busy and kept transferring me to the front desk, which would ring and ring with no answer. Do not trust this place or their employees to take care of your loved ones.
The facility is very clean. The staff is very friendly and very organized. The only bad thing is the waiting time, which is to be expected when you're going to the doctor's office. But overall it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend this facility.
I was in the ER twice on Saturday and if I were able at the time I would hv told the EMS to take me someplace else. Whoever KEVIN is, he has no bedside manners! He s rude, mean, and has absolutely no patience for ppl in pain. I wouldn t recommend this ER to anyone!!!!!!!!!
I was treated like a dog due to the fact I have no insurance I have a severe prolapsed bladder and uterus and I was sent home with a Foley catheter and told by the doctor on duty in ER that I needed to follow up with a OB due to the fact I would have to have surgery to be able to Void (urinate) on my own until surgery was done. I told him at that point that I have no money to see someone and they gave me a list of clinics for uninsured people but I called all of them and for new patients it's a 6 month plus waiting list for all of them so now I'm sitting with a Foley catheter in and no way to be seen by another doctor. So I contacted a attorney due to the treatment I received at your hospital and I have contacted news media to let them know what has happened. The hospital should have NEVER sent me out of the ER with the Foley in at all and I believe y'all should be reliable for anything that may happen to me due to this condition. I will be filing a malpractice suite on your hospital and will NEVER be a patient at your hospital again and I will let everyone I know how you treat your customers.
The Medical Center is all about taking care of their patients.I had to stay over night and was checked on all through the night.I never had to ask for anything the nurses was always there.Keep up the good work and may all patients get the treatment they need.
My husband just had a quadruple bypass. The staff has been wonderful. There is one head nurse in ICU that needs to learn to smile and be more friendly. But the best nurse of all is Josh on the 4th floor. He is truly awesome, humorous, caring, we couldn't have anyone better. The rest of the nurses my husband had were OK but didn't come running as quickly as Josh. He trained the nurse in ICU that waited on my husband also. Physical therapists were very patient with my hostile husband who was in such pain. Even the housekeeping lady in ICU gave us a cheerful smile and kind words of comfort each day. The surgeon Dr. Miller is heaven sent! I don't know why or how others had a negative experience because I have no complaints except maybe change up the meals now and then, give bigger helpings...lol. Josh and Dr. Miller really deserve honors for all they have done for my husband and I can't thank them enough!
I had a hip replacement the first year it was open it had a great nursing staff & the food was very good 9 years later I broke my femur and I was in shock at how bad the nursing staff had got, I had one really good & caring nurse she was on the night shift. The food was so bad my wife had to go buy food for me to eat.
