My aunt admitted with kidney creating 1.2
After a week the creating goes up to 5
The service is poor and no communication between doctors
If I could rate this place a zero I would. All the way from the nurses to Admin. You are just a number at this hospital. They claim to provide high quality patient care and in reality all they provide is low quality care and treat their patients like they are invisible. Labor and delivery is a joke. My sister was not receiving care and being ignored by staff. We spoke to the "director" some woman with long brown hair and she was nothing but ignorant. It was almost like we were wasting her time she kept checking her phone and would not listen to our concerns. When we asked to speak to her boss she said it was not possible. She was highly unprofessional and rude. I told her I will go above her one way or another. I emailed my complaints also to the company that owns them.
I really enjoyed the staff they were so Professional & made me feel comfortable Thanks O Lopez
Staff in the Heart Center are not professional at all! So far we've waited 2.5 hours for a heart cath. No one has bothered to tell us anything about the wait. Need some HIPAA training. They yelled from the nurses station about allergies and called my mother by name all while we waited behind the curtain divider. When I asked about the delayed start and asked if they could page the MD they said yes but they looked at me like I was the rude one. I work in healthcare and this place shouldn't be called a medical center!
Through a series of unfortunate events, I visited the ER on 2 consecutive days. The service was the same both times. Info taken quickly and triaged at the same time, then whisked away to the back.
The staff were all very nice, even when it was apparent they were over worked and frustrated.
Worse visit ever!!! Nurse practitioner told me getting my arm seen wasn't an emergency and that I needed to follow up with my Dr (now let me mind you I have a big knot on my arm)did it get looked at NOPE did they care NOPE!
I was helped immediately. Given extreme compassion and understanding and what means even more...HUMANITY. So many medical facilities now a days dont treat you like a person. I however had an amazing experience. Thank you
This place shouldnt be a hospital because they dont do there job if you go in for ashma kicking off you cant breath that is life threatening they need to close it
Do not bring your family member here. My mom had surgery at this hospital and the nurses came in her room and began to touch my mom's cath bag and push her iv meds with no gloves on. Horrible infections control! This is how you get infections and end up in Icu ! Wash your hands put gloves on it's not hard. My mother's cath. Bags leaked in the floor I asked TWO different nurses to clean it and it was still there the next morning. Then a nurse wants to tell me they don't have to wear gloves.
The staff was very fast, friendly, helpful, the facility was in need of a cleaning. Peed on toilet seat left a bad impression, also paper towels were stacked on top of the dispensers in the bathrooms instead of inside the unit where they would be more sanitary. The professionalism of care could not have been better.
Over all great facility. Thank you
The worst Hospital ever! Hateful uncaring nurses, very nonchalant doctors. The whole staff I'd selfish and only there for money!!!!! 0 stars if I could!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They lied to me when I asked for water. 5 people in front of computers but all of them heard when I asked for water fountain as a visitor from another state. They said no water on this floor. Ok so I asked if there was a water fountain on the entire hospital building. I was told no water fountain on the building. I was in shock ,but I believed them so I dranked water from the patient room faucet. when I visited the patient on ICU, wonder why the patient went from release day and being ok into ICU, can you believe there were water fountains? I am going to be in shock forever about this hospital..what a bunch of liers they are hiring,, if I could give them 1/2 star for not even trying to be helpful I would do it without blinking..bring ur own water..
The staff is always rude, down to the receptionist that can't look you in the eye to talk to you and the triage nurses who can't answer basic questions. There's always trash everywhere and the waiting time period is so extensive it's not even worth coming.
Worst care for elderly people. Staff is lazy and infections set in easily
I have received treatment in several departments at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. The staff was very friendly and sufficient.
My husband was in the hospital there for 3 weeks. The 3rd floor staff is horrible!!! And lazy!!! My husband ended with bed sores and also ended up in ICU. Then he went to 5th floor for rehab.....that's the best part of his stay!! Wonderful people!! Thank God he's home now
TMC has always taken great care of my friends and family. Great staff!
Dr Jaramillo senior and junior both did amazing with my c-section and delivery of my baby perfectly. Dr. Wehmeyer did really well with keeping me updated on my son and any other information I needed. The doctor that put the epidural did fabulous, I m barely 8 days postpartum and my back feels amazing. The nurses were also amazing, every single one that I had! The only down fall is that the food was pretty terrible, I received my food cold and it didn t taste all that great but the coffee was hot.
I am a disabled veteran and there are many negative things being said about the treatment of veterans by the VA hospitals but I can say without a doubt this place is much, much worse. My mother-in-law was treated horribly by the nurses. When I heard and witnessed one of the nurses speaking ugly and rolling his eyes at her I asked him to try to find a better tone when speaking to her, he threatened to have me kicked out of the hospital. Now this was after she spent the night crawling to the bathroom ( she broke her ankle) peeing on herself the whole way because she was too scared to ask for help. As upset as I was, I talked to him with the respect, never raising my voice and gave him no cause to react the way he did. I definitely have a new found appreciation for the VA after this experience.
I would like to say how awesome my experience was from the ER to the ICU the staff was very attentive to my needs all the nurses were very professional I can t remember the black guy name but he was awesome I think immanuel not sure but please let all know my experience was great and the doctors was spot on in my treatment.
This is our second time here with my dad. We love our doctor and the nurses and aide have been polite. However, this place is not very clean. On our first stay Dad was in icu for 3 days. The family waiting room was not cleaned the entire time. Trash was over flowing, furniture stained and dirty. Foid in the trash was rotting and smelled. Now this time we have been here 10 days and I've noticed mold in our shower, urine not cleaned off the toilet or floor both in the rooms and in the public bathrooms. There was something that had split and dried on the elevator doors. I am worried about the risk of infection. The microwaves in the vending area were filthy. We won't be back!
Emergency your gonna be waiting the nurses are nice but you wait hours and hours
I had my baby the 22 of January. I went in around 4 pm already having contractions since that morning and wanted to wait them out so I wouldn t be not dilated enough . By 4 pm they were strong enough I decided to head that way with intense contractions . By the time I had made it in (4:10 ish pm ) they checked me right away and said I was fully dilated . They quickly moved me to a delivery room where I delivered my baby at 4:26pm ) . The nurses worked so fast and so well, my husband was impressed and I was so thankful they had all hands on deck ready for anything to come . The nurse who delivered my baby kept me calm and kept me from panicking (which I wanted to because I didn t expect to be fully dilated ). She knew exactly what she was doing and was ready to deliver my baby . All the nurses did amazing and I wish I had enough time to thank them . Extremely satisfied with Labor & delivery floor and postpartum!
I am in the middle of a miscarriage. I could barely stand so I was given a wheelchair. After I gave urine and blood they left me writhing in pain curled up in a wheelchair for 3hrs. When I couldn t take it anymore i went to try to find out how much longer it would be; they gave my wheelchair to someone else I told them it was the one I was using they told me not anymore. I have an infection due to my miscarriage which could be life threatening and they did nothing for me and turned me away.
I spent almost three weeks here due to COVID
My experience here was excellent the nurses and dr are very attentive to you.
The nurses and the registration people were super nice. Any questions I had were answered completely.
I ve given birth twice at the medical center once with Dr. Cunningham and another time with Dr. Jasani. Both times my babies had to be taken to NICU after birth, and both times they were cared for impeccably. The nursing staff and aftercare were both great each time and I felt very looked after and cared for during each stay.
Get ready to call every other week for 6 months if you ever want to pay your bill.
Service was poor to decent as well
Brought my mother in law in for a steroid shot. She was told her appointment was 8am only to get here 20 minutes early and told thats just arrival time. When we got here there wasn't a single nurse or doctor in sight. They didn't start arriving till after 8am. So now we had to sit an hour and half to get pulled to back then waited another hour and 15 to be pulled back for the shot. The nurse that is working the front desk was rude and unhelpful. This place is ridiculously.
I've been here a few times and usually I haven't had to wait a very long time. I appreciate the way they realize it doesn't take all night to help someone, we are all important and it shows, by the way they actually have a Dr for ER and minor care so I feel important for whatever ailments I have cause sometimes it's worst than others. I have the things you can't see!
Scariest moment of my life and the staff was just awesome. Prompt service. Very informative and upfront
The admission nurse was rude, it took them 5 hours to bring my mother to the er when she is 70 years old and was in pain. Not to mention they released my mother in the middle of an ice storm because she didn't want to do the colonascopy until I could be with her. I will never bring myself or my mother or anyone in my family to this hospital again after the non kindness or non treatment they refused to give her.
Great staff, very informative and open to any questions you may have. ER is fast working.
Doctor sent my 4 year old daughter to the Medical Center's ER in Port Arthur. We arrived with one person in the waiting room, who was brought back 15 minutes after our arrival. Over two hours later, we are still waiting. I have been going to Neighbors Emergency because of the terrible experiences and extremely slow service at Medical Center. And guess what? Nothing has changed! Bathrooms are very dirty and have no soap. And the way the so-called nurses respond when you ask how much longer is ridiculous. Will NEVER return and will turn away as many people as possible!
Was scared to have surgery. Everyone was extremely nice. Had absolutely no issues the day of surgery and everyone explained everything that would happen and everyone was patient.
This is the only hospital I have ever been admitted into and I will never be back. I will certainly not bring my child back nor use the ER. My four month old, thankfully, ended up at Texas Children's puking his guts up due to a life-threatening heart condition this hospital didn't even know he had. Or...didn't tell me he had after doing an echo the day after he was born. I was told he had a common murmur (Texas Children's picked up on the bigger diagnosis immediately.) After nine hours of the doctors and nurses playing around like they work for a circus (including while trying to draw blood from my child), we were told "oh, no one told you? You're either going home or being admitted to TCH."
Oh. No one told you? No. No one told us anything the entire nine hours. Because apparently it was a party and no one was working, not a professional medical environment that cares about legitimately sick people.
Horrible experience they re not attentive at all !! Definitely do not care about the patients.
I would like to give a shout out to the ER team at the Medical Center of SETX. I had to go to the ER tonight for some chest pains. They took me back very quickly, and started to help me. Everyone was very polite and it was clean. They re up to PAR on their Covid awareness as well. Overall, I ve been to a few other hospital s ER and it was a way different standard. I will continue to go her and bring my loved ones here as well. Thanks Med Center of SETX. Shoutout to Skyler.
I was there for a routine imaging visit and everyone I encountered was very kind and helpful. The imaging equipment was very advanced and the tech performing the procedure was excellent.
Been here over 4 hrs in the er. My spouse has diverticulitis and they have yet to 1. Control his pain. 2. Start iv antibiotics.3 run a ct scan. The nurse (Kathryn) acts bothered when we ask questions. We have seen her 2 times in 4 hrs only because I had to chase her down. I do not recommended this place to anyone wanting quality care or bed side manner for that matter!!
Dr Rao and the staff at the Heart Center saved my life....in just minutes heart stint was in pain was gone and I'll live to see my 38 wedding anniversary. The Medical Center staff were wonderful and caring .... hospital was clean.....I could have done without the experience of a heart attack.....but I was in the best place with the best care...... Thank you all so much
My wife has used this hospital often. Always treated very well . People always very helpful.
