Beautiful! Very large room, very clean, impeccable service, very well located, the services they offer are unbeatable! We will be back.

Rarely falls short of its 5 star rating. Manchester's finest hotel for sure. The restaurant and spa are also of a consistently high standard.

My family stayed at the Lowry Hotel last year while visiting me in Salford. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms we're great.

The restaurant was lovely itself but I didn't enjoy my afternoon tea but only because I am fussy

A lot of building works going on in front of the hotel so slot of noise. The hotel in its self was very nice and clean. Beds were a bit on the too soft side so did not sleep well. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Fantastic hotel & staff. From the moment we arrived to checkout the service could not be better. We arrived early on our flight and went straight to the hotel, we didn't expect our room to be ready but thought we would just drop off our bags. Kim on reception was brilliant, sorted a room straight away for us so we could have a rest after our flight, she was also extremely helpful with directions and commute advice. All other staff in the hotel were excellent. Would highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Manchester.

Rooms were great. But service from staff was lacking. For a 5 star hotel the staff pick and choose who they want to go the extra mile for. My 4 star review is solely due to the quality of the rooms, service from staff lacks immensely and I was disappointed with that aspect

Very disappointed just spent twenty minutes in the queue at the bar three members of staff stud taking no notice, the guy in front of me got his beer and had almost drank it and still not been given his card back not the only bar in town so going elsewhere, most certainly not five star service.

A five star hotel let down by the building works going on around the outside of it.

Not my thing but nice enough if you like luxury hotels. Went there for a wedding but passed on the opportunity to book a room there due to the price. Negatives were the prices of the rooms and drinks, parking is also paid for (for residents too) and not guaranteed. The area surrounding the hotel is a construction site. One of our table had to pay extra for soda water to go with her wine (which was part of the wedding breakfast). Our bar didn't serve coffee and we were told we would have to go down a floor and get it ourselves. This level of service didn't chime with the price tag of the hotel. Whilst I felt staff weren't always as helpful as they could have been, they were very polite and friendly, the space was nice, if a bit clinical. The food was very good.

Went here for my birthday. The rooms were lovely. Some of the room was looking slightly worn but the bed was comfy and very spacious. The food is also great and we had a meal in the riverside bar and the breakfast was also good. Would recommend for a treat.

Overpriced and over looked hotel. Plenty of better places to stay in Manchester like the Gotham and hilton. Lost their sence of humour on pricing in restaurant and new flats built in front of hotel has made this place a no go for me. Great shame prices for rooms should reflect and trust me they don't.

Upmarket hotel by the river Irwell in a quieter position in the centre of Manchester. Visited for lunch. Good table d'hote menu, good food , reasonably priced for the quality. All good except service a bit haphazard at times.

Food is stunning rooms are beautiful, by far one if the nicest placesive ever stayed. Best 30th birthday ever!!

Had a lovely afternoon tea here, nothing was too much trouble.

Super food and service. Only complaint is it has been difficult to book a table as the lowry online system has no availability in october and november. Ihad to redeem my original booking.from groupon

Amazing hotel food terrific not cheap but well worth a visit free parking in their secure car park if you are dining there

Worst hotel ever, went to a private vip event, there was a crash outside between a celebrity and taxi driver the taxi was giving abuse to the celebrities threatening behaviour staff of the hotel did not support the vip guests only the taxi driver and told them to remove themselves from the property and I saw all this happening with my own eyes

After having a reply, this hotel denying anythimg happening the night of a celebrity event that I need to name celebrity who was distress

The night of charity event which was chicos event, there where other celebrities there the one who was distress was a famous singer in the 80s baby D, a taxi reversed into their car and when her security and driver got out of the car to investigate what had happened got abuse off the taxi driver, the hotel porter came out to see what is going he didn't go to the vip people WHO where paying guests at there hotel etc, did not check if they where OK only asked if the taxi was OK and the taxi driver giving lies saying they where threatening him which clearly was lies has the it was recorded by the driver and witnessed by people who was outside and the porter DEMANDED that they leave the premises and this was not quietly said but shouted at them, baby D was shacking in the car and scared
Also staff this porter was rude to paying guests from the party telling them to hurry up and leave the hotel has well
I travel all over the UK staying in hotels for business and pleasure, stayed in more cheaper and more expensive hotels than this one and never had so much disgrace from staff has I had from this hotel
They need to check their cctv cameras to see what happened that night instead of replying with that comment

Attended a professional event here and they did an amazing job! A nice central location with great facilities.

We had afternoon tea for a special occasion and it was lovely. Great atmosphere and lovely service

Nice food. Lovely hotel. Best attribute though - the staff!!!

We were out for a special girls day and night of treats and a visit to the River Restaurant was our evening meal treat. The staff were welcoming, the food was delightful and not overly expensive, the restaurant decor simple and stylish, but our waiter made our night. He was extremely professional, helpful and knowledgeable, with a bit of banter thrown in, along with a complimentary in-between course taster, it lifted our experience from pleasant to memorable. Then he took our drinks out to the terrace where we sat under the heat lamps having a natter. It was a very pleasant experience all-in-all and a stark contrast to the service we'd received at another 5* hotel where we'd had our lunch the same day. I think it's a very classy establishment and am planning another visit.

I went here for a conference, and the facilities for this seemed quite good. For a small conference that is.
The dinner I had the evening on arrival was very nice, and so was the beers and wine.
The breakfast was not as good, the eggs was not very nice at all.
The room was quite nice however. The reception staff was very nice and friendly.

We stayed here and paid online on arrival at check in they asked for a credit card which was fine and explained they may take a 50 pound payment that would go back into my account if not used.
We checked out the following morning paid for our room bill separate
But over a week later and 2 unanswered emails which infutiates me and no 50 pounds back in my account is not a good thing.
It really spoils itself and I wont stay here again and I'll be taking it further .

Lovely environment to meet for drinks, glad o wasn't paying!

Bought myself and my daughter a day in the spa with afternoon tea.
The staff at the spa were very professional and attentive, our massage and facial was to the highest quality, we thoroughly enjoyed our day and definitely will come agin.

Great atmosphere in the restaurant and food was delicious. Good place and not too pretentious.

Far too expensive for what was provided in respect of Afternoon Tea. Food was ok, but too little of it. I even commented that the I thought the plate of sandwiches was for only one of us, instead of between us. Indifferent and not particularly attentive or friendly staff.

Exceptionally high standards of cleanliness in the rooms I've stayed in and the staff are always very polite, friendly and helpful.

If you like the hustle and bustle in manchester thi hotel could be for you

Very good indeed but a little bit resting on it's laurels. Staff well trained and 5 star appropriate. Could do with a few more of them though. Room was large and quiet. Bathroom a little tatty round the edges and needed a bit of TLC to bring up to scratch.

5 star hotel in every way. The room and the service are second day to none.

Visited a conference, hotel is of a high standard in the centre of Manchester, facilities were excellent for the event, buffet was OK to.

A good place to stay. And very clean, staff are very helpful. But the pillows suck.

Nice enough hotel but the wrong side of the Irwell. Arriving late at night on foot it is not the nicest of walks from the city centre and it took me a while to figure out how to get to the entrance. The room was large but a bit cold even with the heating on. The breakfast was pretty good but I wouldn't pay for it. I only stayed there because it was on business and I don't think I would stay there if I was paying. And I had "Matchstalk Men and Matchstalk Cats and Dogs" stuck in my head for the whole duration of my stay.

My room was the size of a suite. Walk in wardrobe, a little sofa - bliss! Loved it. Would definitely stay here again.

One of the worst 5* experiences I ve had. Regularly stay away for work and after an extremely long day arrived at the Lowry. Given a room on the 6th floor which currently looks like a building site. Room tables have scuff marks all over. There are holes in the plaster by the sockets. Went for a shower and shower head not connected properly, water has sprayed all over the bathroom, soaking the toilet, robes and walls. Tried to call reception 3 times with no answer.

Overall extremely poor and will not stay here again, my advice would be stay in the radisson or midland in Manchester. Much better hotels

Works Christmas party. Was a lovely room. Food lovely service excellent. Desert was amazing.

Odd location but the beds are so comfortable and you can't knock the staff training.

Treated to afternoon tea and it was amazing. Food was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. When they realised it was my birthday they gave me not one but two birthday treats. Very impressed
