Went for afternoon tea 17.10.18, excellent service from 1st to last, selection of sandwiches and cakes was good, good variety of tastes and textures. Only downside was the presence of photographers presumably doing some promo work within the restaurant and what looked like a team of guys armed with a plan of the restaurant completing a snag list. This was quite intrusive and took the shine off the afternoon.

Brilliant service from front desk manager Pradeesh. We have stayed twice in the last few weeks and always found everyone helpful and friendly. The rooms are the best in Manchester and at least twice the size of other 5 star hotels. We moved away from the Lowry for a while and stayed at the Radisson but The Lowry has improved so much recently we won't stay anywhere else. You can't fault a drink on the balcony on a sunny day with a great view.

My partner and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary...

My partner and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary here back in November; upon arrival we were requested that we pay a deposit during our stay. Not a problem, my partner uses her card and accidentally enters her PIN wrong the first time. Suddenly, the manager (or whoever he thought he was) decided to make a remark I will not share, nor do I care to repeat. We went to our room absolutely appalled at the welcome we were given. From that point, we left the hotel to go to 20 stories instead where the service is always great and not that far from, what we gathered, this rude and disrespectfully run hotel. Shall not be returning ever.

Really lovely food some of the nicest cooked meat I've had, and staff let us have a table last minute for mums 65th birthday

I had a confirmed reservation from November but th...

I had a confirmed reservation from November but the hotel called me today, February 19th, to advise me that my 2 night reservation was being cancelled due to "overbooking" on the second night which happened to correspond to the date of a Who concert. No explanation on why my 4 month old reservation was being cancelled. Is this how a 5 star hotel treats returning clients? I guess more important guests wanted to stay at the hotel.
