Went on middle on October..it was a while I have not gone there. But this time great, great time. There is a free parking a little far from entrance but ok. And you can pay I think $10 to be in front. I got a tickets in an app, So was affordable for 5 of us. This time there were shows schedule around the zoo. So I recomend to be early at 10am so you can be able to watch them..I just saw the birds show.and alligator. Beautiful. great experience this time..I think now is worth to go there. So I think you can spend at least 4hrs or more. Great for kids ..

I love LA Zoo

I love LA Zoo
I go for the Gorilla, chimps, reptiles and orangutans.
People are friendly and bathrooms tend to be clean.
And now they sell beer!

The LA Zoo is a great escape from the concert jungle that LA is. With great exhibits like the jungle of the Amazon and the reptile pagoda. The bird show is only on weekends on weekdays they do an open training session. Also remember that there is a back road with a couple animals that people miss if not traveling by tram.

A lot of the animals were sleeping so you didn't really get to see him the Bears were nowhere to be found the lions were asleep the Tigers were hiding underneath the log asleep. Just the price you pay isn't really worth when all you see.

I honestly like the zoo But OMG I hate how I have gone several times and animals are missing they don't have them out or under construction and I hate following those maps it's like a freaking maze never ending walking plus they should have more I don't know entertainment for the children kind of boring

Great zoo, so many children. There is also a lot of space for animals. There are also many volunteers who promote environmental protection and animal care. You can touch the lamb, groom it...it is tiring to stroll around. Have a great time.

The saddest zoo I have ever seen. Not a big selection of animals at all. Some animals were not even in their cages. The lions were passed out probably heavily sedated. The one and only gorilla was so depressed he stayed in the same spot looking toward a wall for two hours. Prices are ridiculous. Some guy wanted $25 for a bubble gun?!! For preferred parking you have to have cash only and for most vendors you have to have cash only! The only cool thing was the flamingos.

Great to walk! I think to see everything you need about 4 hours! I thought the food is accessible! Although you can always bring your own food and drinks! If you visit in summer do not forget sun block, hat and lots of water!

I really like this zoo I would totally go again if you go when it's hot outside don't forget to take a spray bottle with water and wear a hat or take an umbrella I do recommend hopping on the shuttle so you can get around the park faster lots of different animals to see if you like the Living Desert in Palm Desert you will love the LA Zoo.

Lovely walks. Great reptile house. Komodo dragon. Baby snow leopards! Come on! What are you waiting for? Also pretty decent children's playground. Great elephant Pavilion, too. Come prepared to walk. There's a lot of ground to cover here. If you plan to come here more than once, get a membership. It'll pay for itself in two or three visits.

The nighttime event was colourful and beautiful. Initially three was a long line for the opening but we made it through efficiently and quickly. The reptile exhibit was opened and the merry go round was operating. They had kettle corn and hot chocolate to help with the harsh so-cal winter.

A lovely place to visit - I was very happy to see that many of the placards included information about the species location, behaviors, and level of endangerment. Some areas even included conservation efforts and how they're connected to worldwide organizations that are aimed at increasing species numbers. The keepers are caring and informative!

We have our son, wife and two small grandchildren that live in LA, so the zoo is a must. They are members so I don't have to pay, but the fun is in all the new things there are to do each time we come to visit from the East coast. A stop at the Carousel is a must, and this time we visited the petting zoo, where they got to brush the goats and see how they live. Since they are young we don't last long, but we always have a great time!

Loved it! First time here. Lots of exhibits and the zoo itself is very large compared to others I have visited in other states. Lots of parking. Very clean. Be prepared for lots of walking. Food and restaurants scattered throughout which makes it nice
