It's a great place to visit with family. Parking is awesome since there's a lot of space. Eating is a bit tricky i suggest get like a sub sandwich or something filling but not too heavy since there's is a lot of walking. Try to get there early that way you can see all the animals in action. Bears, and lions get rather sleepy (cough..LAZY..)after like four. Also make sure to get the kids their passport that way they can learn the proper name for animals and where they really live at.

Ok

If it wasn't for the bird show I would have rated one star, it didn't seem like much was going on. I don't know if it was the time of year or what, but I was sadly disappointed. I feel like I would have been better if staff was more interactive with the people there. I honestly didn't enjoy it at all.

One day admission is pricey but family membership is a decent deal. Glad to see the elephant exhibit is huge for a huge animal, but the lions seem cramped and bored. Lots to explore but quite hilly since it sits at the base of a Griffith Park "mountain". If you're going to pay for the tram, do it first thing, ride to the back of the park, and work your way forward.

This zoo is huge and the layout is pretty good but it we expected to see almost every type of animal. We are from texas so we see elephants, bears, tigers, giraffes, lions and gorillas at most zoos we visit. Since this one is so large we expected those animals and more. The only animal here that was a surprise were the seals at the entrance. Lines for getting a drink were outrageous as well.

The hotdogs tasted like a lot like a turkey. I saw a giraffe down a six pack in under 30 seconds flat! Yes he is the one with the motorcycle! But that s ok the baboons are particularly sexy this time of year.

Overall great experience. All the staff inside and around the exhibits we nice and knowledgeable. Tickets are fairly cheap and you can find coupons on top of that generally. My only reservation was the staff at the gates weren't very nice, nor were they paying much attention. My son loved it, we saw some cool animals, worth the trip.

I was very dissatisfied I thought it was going to be more walking room but seems that at one point we we're just walking in circles. No Christmas carol nothing to say wow.. I would guess that the little ones 7 and under would love it but any older and they will be very bored. I really wanted this to jump me into the holiday spirit but I was very wrong. I really want to say something better but I have to be truthful sorry. Just always remember that you get what you pay for

Get the family pass and make it a every other week outing/hike with the family. You can bring your own food so pack up and enjoy walk and play with the kids at play park inside the zoo right after seeing the bird show.

I can't believe how much has changed in the 30 years I have been coming to this Zoo. Now it is my kids favorite place to go. The Condor Consrrvation Center is a great place for kids of all ages. They have great member benefits too!

Went to This Zoo was excited but when I saw the animals I felt bad for them they look sad and depressed. Also there is a lot of bees everywhere especially on the picnic tables and half of the animals you couldn't see.

It's not as big as the San Diego Zoo, but it is still very enjoyable. I really like that you can participate in giraffe and flamingo feedings. Those do cost extra. There are also pretty decent food options with ok pricing. While the food isn't fast food cheap, you certainly won't break the bank by trying to eat here. They do have picnic tables around the children's play area, so you can bring lunch from home. There is also a petting zoo.

Great little zoo! There are many exhibits that are mixed species and absolutely wonderful! My favorite was the tropical bird and reptile exhibit and the big cat yard! The free roaming peacocks was also a treat. It's good to see some exhibits getting renovations and the animals all had awesome enrichment!! The staff really care about the animals and took time to make the experience special for me.

My daughter's favorite place to go. We got the family pass and visit every other month when we have nothing to do. Sometimes they have special events, usually during holidays that are great for the kids. We like to go early when they open when it's not too overcrowded, visit our favorite animals, and then leave when it starts to crowd and get hot. Parking is not so great when you arrive late, so be sure to get there early if you want free parking. Otherwise, they have a preferred parking which is only a few bucks. This was my girls in March. They had an event going on (forgot what it was).

A pretty adorable baby giraffe and baby gorilla are the current new attractions here. Always a nice walk and lovely place to be on weekdays, possibly more fun on the weekends. The zoo might be too big for families with young children to see everything. Make time for the beautifully restored carousel (costs a little extra). The ride is short, but worth it. The zoo keepers are knowledgeable and accessible for questions after feedings. All zoo staff are friendly and helpful.

I live the zoo been coming here since my father used to work here, such a fun place I feel some things can be a bit pricey honestly. Like the mingle with the flamingos was $25 and no one was in there so that was a bit overpriced but I love this place nonetheless.
