Had a great time at the LA zoo . Clean except for one of the restaurants. And very cheap. But when I left , the was a guy dressed up as the cookie monster.

If you you haven't been here lately. You should come. Bring all the family. BUY the yearly package.
Glad to see this place has finally opened. It's nice that's it's not so packed right now so take advantage if you can!
It seems like every time I have visited lately, there are fewer animals on display than the time before. Many exhibits have been vacant for a long time.
This was a very nice llace I had a good experience and liked it I had a lot of fun and loved the animals I would recommend coming and I hope I come back soon
Not what we expected from a very large city we came from Texas and had an extra day. But we've been in the San Antonio Texas now that's what a zoo should be. Very few animals a lot of closed areas who manages this
Go in the spring, or if you go in the summer take the tram. It's too hot and everything is uphill.
A lot of mosquitoes. But overall a great experience!!
I could say so many things but it is better to live them in person I recommend it
Just to have a nice day out with the fam and didn't spend much cash you know that's always gud....YEA....
I loved LA Zoo Lights, but just wish they had more going on, more lights, or mazes with lights....but poor animals were sleeping already made me a bit sad. You can tell they did not want to be disturb.
We waited a long time to get inside the parking lot when we got in they had all this empty spaces ! So why the hold up in line ? We went to see the animals but most of them were hidding
Very big, amazing and the entrance looks amazing. Although most animals spent asleep.
Great place but if you arrive after 11 it's hard to find parking. You can get the 0reffered parking but they only take cash
I always love my experience here. I went this easter sunday. You have to purchase your tickets in advance and pick a time slot. Not much wait time and they kept the park pretty sanitary. The zoo employees were very serious with the mask and social distancing. The only bummer was half the exhibits were closed. But for the price I'm not mad. Ill be going back.
It is super large and very beautiful. But you end up very tired
Well we enjoy parents and our children and in addition to enjoying it is the best place for stress hahahahaha with nature the animals is very beautiful to go with the children
Nice zoo sun screen and a hat recommended as not a lot of shade.
Everything was amazing. Sadly because of the rain some animals were not out.
Lots of uphill walking, but besides that I love this zoo!
I go with my children Zoo and My husband Miguel Carbajal once and see the Animals walked with My family
Great zoo with a huge number of animals. Lots of education as well: I felt like there was always something new to learn!
As of June 8th 2020, the zoo is still temporarily closed, not open.
Well laid out zoo with great animals and shows to learn about them. Great way to spend a day.
This zoo is a disappointment now. When I was a kid this place use to be packed with animals, now it's just a bunch of empty spaces. If you want to pay to take a walk be my guest. You're better off at a park were you'd probably see more animals than in the LA Zoo
Dirty park, terrible parking lots and traffic control. Premium parking and many vendors are cash only. So many of the animal pens were small and inadequate compared to many other zoos, even in smaller towns.
We went in summer and the heat bordered on infernal! Besides the plague ... A lot to see and walk.
Best day at the zoo. Weather was fantastic, animals were out.
This is a place that you always come back again and again...
First time back at the LA Zoo in awhile.
It was nice and we got good exercise.
Only complaint is it has become so expensive. I was floored when they told me a plastic animal bubble blowing toy was $25!!!!! That actually made me sad. $25?!
The Zoo Lights event was enjoyable and worth the price of admission (you can also find discounted tickets on Groupon).
Be sure to check out the Splash of Color (water and laser, light show), it only lasts a few minutes and is quite the specatcle.
The only downside is actually getting in to the zoo itself. We had tickets for the 6:00pm time slot and arrived right at 6:00pm. However, then you have to get in a line that winds back and forth through the parking lot and we didn't get into the zoo until about 6:30pm. We still had plenty of time to see everything, but this is a popular event, so arrive a little early.
We had a fun afternoon at the Los Angeles Zoo! It is a VERY large zoo so plan on spending most of your day there and be sure to bring a stroller if you have little ones. We went on Memorial Day so it was pretty busy. The best area (in our opinion) was the children s petting zoo. Our toddler loved it! We only wish we could have seen more of the animals, many of them were hiding away in the shade because of the heat.
LA Zoo Lights is a great experience. Grab friends and kids and get your holiday spirit on.
Far from the best zoo I went to. Some animals look depressed (or sedated) in their small cage.
I guess small cages makes it easier for people to spot the animals...
Very well kept and clean for the animals and guests
Never go during the weekend it's a mad house. Bring your own food if you want to save money and wear comfortable clothing your going to do a lot of walking.
It was a great experience for our kids. It is expensive so take a cooler with waters and snacks/food. You're able to. Lots of walking but very worth it..
great place to take family explore animals at Zoo Of Los Angeles
Our favorite zoo for years. No matter where we live we will always visit.
My kids loved the playground there and the reptile house. The layout makes it easy to explore and wander without needing to map out your day
You have to pay 10 bucks for preferred parking, CASH. So we went around and around until we found a free spot. Next time I'll bring the 10 bucks. I came here a couple of years ago and it seems a lil run down compared to then, but maybe because it's winter. Crushed flavored ice...cash. the ice cream cones were awesome. They need to work on having more affordable souvenirs for kids. I spent 50 bucks on 3 things for my grandson. Just sayin'
My favorite zoo, I may be biased as an L.A. resident but I have always loved this zoo. Reasonable prices and huge place. Tip if you don't like crowds, head down on a rainy day. The animals mostly either like rain or don't care about it but leaves you with lots of time alone with the animals.
Amazing fun for adults and kids, summer is just not the right time to go extreme heat and animals hidding so cant see much
loving this place. Great sunny day at the end of Jan...just walking around checking out all the animals and eating some great food
You now have to pay for parking if you want to get a decent spot. That was a little annoying. It has ALWAYS been free....guess not anymore.
In general a really nice place and most animals have enough space. Compared to others, the lion seems to have very little space. The food options are awful and unhealthy. Considering the fact that a lot of kids eat there there should be healthier options.
Good place to take the kids. I liked it and had alot of fun with my kids.. good price should included the food for animals
My kids always have a blast going. Thank God I invested in a year pass.
Awesome! Had a wonderful time, weather was perfect!
A lot of animals were not available. Adults walking around without masks. Kids running around unsupervised. A place to get a drink, at the beginning of the zoo, no where else.
Had such an amazing time! Wasnt crowded so I was able to enjoy seeing every animal as long as I liked
Continues to update exhibits fun way to spend a day
It needs more animals and some care. It looks like a good idea but requires better execution. It needs some sponsors to improve the attractions
