Its was a nice experience and the most important thing is that we enjoy been together and had fun it may need more attractions so customers can have different experiences.

I had reservations (due to the pandemic) for 1:00 PM two days in a row. Both days it was quite empty, which I loved. There are signs and arrows telling you which directions to walk in to avoid crowding. I also noticed that the tiger was out both days and he is usually hiding. Perhaps he feels a bit more comfortable with less people there. Plenty of snacks and drinks available. The restaurant by the giraffes is also open still.
Fun, nice, peaceful, an amazing place to go for a nice little break from the bustling city for an afternoon enjoying the many graceful and excited animals
Excellent place to go with the family, prices very high to afford for a family of 5. But try to save some money to have a time that can not forget your kids.
Went to roaring night that happens every year and like always it was a blast.
Went in at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon and most of the animals were already enclosed. Walked for two hours and saw just about every cage empty. Waste of money.
The zoo was great. Animals were out . Very clean. Food was good. A big shout out to the guy who drew a sketch of my son it was wonderfully done
Was great! Very educational. Well designed lay out allowing us to view most of the exhibits. My only reason for not giving this a 5 star rating was because the price of everything was so over inflated. But I admit the animals seemed to be well cared for and protected. Definitely enjoyed my visit and hope to go again.
Good experience at the LA zoo, there are options to get to know it, within the place you can choose between walking or taking a ride so that you do not miss anything, very clean bathrooms and different options of food and drinks at reasonable prices!
Go early and avoid the crowds. Got some great photos. The tigers don't get moving around until about 11:00AM. The lion den was empty and need of attention on my last visit in June 2013.
Always a blast going to events at the zoo. Check it out during the holidays.
Nice and big. Tickets can be purchased online in advance (local credit card needed). It has elephants, some felines, giraffes, monkeys and a variety of other animals from different parts of the world. Perfect to go with family. It gets very crowded, so you better go early in the morning.
Had a good time there. You will need around 3 hours.
Friendly employees and make feel welcome ,clean place ,good for birthdays parties, animals tours with reservation .
I used to volunteer here 2010. I love the zoo it is so awesome!
Good zoo. Not sure, as far as zoo's go, it's pretty good.
The Los Angeles Zoo has done a great job with the park. My family and I have a great time every time we go.
This a great place to take your children and spend a decent time with family. We hadn t seen the park in over 10 years and we all loved the new look! We really enjoyed the entire park.
The year membership is worth it! Accessible bathrooms everywhere, signs to orientate you if you happen to get lost.
Great place!
The only down side was that certain crowds of people were not suitable for children to see.
My son really enjoyed himself just wish there were more animals out to see most for hiding because of the Heat
Great place! Great place to learn about the animals. It's a lil pricey but it's well worth the trip!
It is laid out very well. Some exhibits hard to see through scratched glass, especially with glare from the sun.
The LA zoo has gotten much better since I was a kid. There are a few did options that seem over priced, but the exhibits are nice. They also have some special events and exhibits (the current one is a dinosaur walk with some animatronic models). The zoo is a bit of a hike, so come prepared to walk
Love the zoo, my son can't get enough, he can tell something about each animal there.
Love this zoo, it s small but they have a good variety.
Ok zoo. Protesters outside upset my small children. Was a very hot day and lots of animals nowhere to be found.
The staff personal id really friendly and helpful.. We had a great time
Lots to see. Put your walking shoes on! Kids enjoyed it
eh its ok place for the kids and a date but its over prized, for me.
Beautiful
Place to visit you would like
Took my daughter for the very first time. She loved it. I always enjoy it when i go. Always come prepared too. With snacks and beverages. Always recomend that to eveyone. But its nice to see the animals
A great place to spend it with your family! I would like to see more cafes and a large selection of menus and drinks.
Nice zoo, they have improved over the years. I had a bad experience with customer service one time, but last time I went it was alright...
I recommend buying the family deluxe membership covers three seniors, Son or grandchildren under 17 and valid for one year. There are areas to relax and you can bring your food. If you buy the membership online you will have a discount by entering this code (11702RMN) you will get for $ 140
Big zoo, pedestrian heavy. Nice entrance when you walk in, feels like an amusement park. They could use a few more animal exhibits overall, especially since some animals aren't always made public, e.g. the elephants. An annual pass for a family is like $160 or less, worth it if you're local and not busy in non-winter months.
It was a beautiful day and we got to see most of the animals. Loved the water mists set up around the park to cool off. Fun activities and awesome crafts for kids to do.
It was so beautiful. Really enjoyed the light displays and so did my family. The lily pads and the first stop were my favorites. For a second you forget you are in southern california because of the really tall trees. I am looking forward for next year if they continue.. also hope they will add more light displays. It gets really cold at night so make sure to bundle up!
Fun outing with the kids. Season passes are reasonable
On vacation in LA, me and my girlfriend decided to visit the zoo for the day. The admission price is very reasonable and borderline cheap for what you get; the zoo is huge! There are all sorts of different animals and exhibits, and the overall atmosphere is very enjoyable. I'm only deducting a star because the zoo closed at 5pm, which seems kind of early to me. We actually missed about a quarter of the zoo (including the kangaroos) since everything closed up so early. I would definitely recommend checking it out, but make sure you get there early if you want to see everything.
It is a good experience, just that I imagined something better, what I did not like is the long line to enter the problem so great to find parking, not having quick access and everything inside the place very expensive.
They actually started feeding the animals while you watch on weekends daytime
School field trip, so fun for kids. For me it's sad to see such small/closed in habitats for the animals. I suppose they at least are fed and cared for and they're there for a good reason rather than their respective natural homes/environment.
The tigers are apparently brought to by the "99 cent store". After seeing the wellbeing of the animals...It's not a real zoo, it's a lawsuit waiting to happen. The best advice I can give is to just keep driving south to see a real zoo... in San Diego, where they actually care about things other than profit...like the animals...
Get there early. I went around 3pm and was told that they were about to start putting animals away so I felt rushed. Would have liked more time to hang out on the playground and take more pictures.
Noah's ark, the flood the book of genesis
So much animal in one place with its departments of different classes to the gk in common
recommendable
Great for animal/ zoo photography and sketching. I go here whenever to update that art porfolio.
The zoo is very large and parking lot wasn't too crowded. The staff are really nice.
Very good place when you go to Los Angeles on vacation
I'm giving a 3 due to the fact that so many of the exhibits are closed due to Covid but also because as the only Los Angeles city-wide zoo...it should be much bigger and better. I enjoy myself when I go mainly because I get a nice walk in and also because it's clean. The workers are generally very nice and knowledgeable. The food cost a little too much for what you get and water should NEVER be so expensive that you gotta reconsider buying a bottle. Please fix that. Otherwise, a nice place to take the fam.
It is a place where you have a great time with the family. The staff is qualified and suitable for education and learning. I invite you to take a walk here ..
Nice zoo, they take good care of their animals, good family fun and learning expericane for the wee ones.
Beautiful Zoo. Very large, be prepared to walk about 5 Miles. Wish they had more concessions.
Side note... They have Rhino souvenirs, but no Rhinos to see at the zoo...
