Love this zoo. My son and daughter are two and under so they appreciate the animals they can name and stay clear of anything scary looking (reptiles lol). It's a great way to spend the day with family. I have been visiting since I was a kid myself, so it's a full circle experience for me.

This place used to be rundown, the animals looked sad and depressed. Not anymore! They have new interactive experiences like Giraffe feeding that makes the visit enjoyable. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and a lot of them are even volunteers.
Great place for kids and families. Recommend the membership if you are a local.

Covid-19 no bueno, due to physical distancing, a few exhibitions were closed, some interesting animals were "unavailable" It's a bit sad that we didn't get to see some animals. Don't get me wrong, I still support LA ZOO. I will be back after covid-19. Hopefully not too long.

Excellent ttrip to the zoo. My son particularly enjoyed the playground. Great zoo experience.

The Los Angeles Zoo was a fun experience for our family! We enjoyed the various exhibits very much. I noticed that the zoo's designer must have had the public's best interest in mind when considering the layout of the zoo. They have placed so many of the benches for resting in the shade. That is just a nice touch! The exhibits were clean as was the walking paths.

My daughter had a blast definitely want to get there early so the animals are more awake. The staff was great and the park nice and clean. They have done a great job

This is a fantastic Zoo to visit they have great conservation efforts going on with many of the animals it's a very large park and you could spend the whole day there and not even realize you've been there six hours or eight hours.

I was excited to bring my son to the zoo but it just didnt meet my expectations. The zoo is nice and huge but hardly any animals. I feel like I over paid and wont be coming back.

Very nostalgic for me...good memories of coming here with my family as a young boy, now get to take my kids

Its good for a hike lots of hills animals are awesome when there outside they look sad ticket lines suck but move fast everything inside is expensive so bring your own beverages

Much more interesting than I expected - quite a variety of animals I've never even heard of before. One thing to be aware of is there are lots of steep hills throughout the zoo that may not be friendly to seniors and baby carriages depending on your fitness level. If you go on a warm day try to get there early or you might get stuck with a lot of sleeping animals. We have an annual membership and recently went in late December on a brisk afternoon - we found the marquis animals (lions, tiger, giraffes) to be much more active.

First time here. Been wanting to check this zoo out for so long and I have to say I Wasn't impressed at all. Most of the exhibits were closed, not much to see. Only thing good was the crowd control due to the preticket sales. I expected alot more. I guess LA doesnt put much $ into their zoo. I'm from central ca. Where the fresno zoo is alot better and nicer. I won't be returning, sorry.

Didn't go to zoo but did use the free parking for the Hollywood Bowl shuttle.

Came here on a Sunday with the kids and I have to say we had an amazing time. It's a great place to spend a day seeing and learning about the animals. If you want to get a work out and have fun while doing it then the L.A. Zoo is the place to go.

Great aerobic exercise walking the zoo and fresh air

This place was a very fun experience but not all the exhibits had a animal in it.

This zoo is one of my happy places to be with my family. We avoid it anytime the weather is supposed to be over 70 or so, but during the cool weather it is so relaxing and refreshing to see all of the beautiful animals.

It's a nice zoo to come and see? The only thing i don't like there's to much people now it gets over crowded people stepping on each other or strollers hitting u behind your ackles or rude people most times but other then that i love this zoo too. Need to expand the zoo more will be muxh better.

Have season passes and go a few times a month. Great place to walk, get so.e exercise and my 2 y/o loves it.

The LA Zoo has come a long ways over the past two decades but still has far to go. Some exhibits are amazing (most of the ape exhibits are first rate) where as some seem cruel and outdated (especially the Lion Exhibit). It is not the San Diego Zoo but it is local so....

We watch the birds show where they had different types of birds come out to display it was so hilarious and entertaining. Apart from the long walk and the heavy sun we enjoyed peaking at different animals which we only see on Nat Geo wild, the experience was educative too.

I mean who doesn't enjoy the zoo...major upgrades and my family and I love it...and it's an great investment to get the family passes with lots of benefits

Highly recommend you visit for Christmas lights!!! Worth it!!!

So much fun! Kids always come home tired but with a smile! This is a parent's dream. Tickets are affordable and the parking isn't too bad

Zoo lights are cool, thing is most of animals are habitats are closed, not alot of animals to see. Just lights

Lions, Tigers, Bears.... Oh my. I'm guessing I'm not the only person to make that joke here... Lol But really, they do have a good amount of animals.

I remember going here when I was growing up and enjoying the Zoo. I'm glad to see the improvements that they have made and that they continue to make.

On a side note the LA Zoo lights was really good and totally worth it.

Staff very friendly. Lots of animals awake. Thank you for letting us bring snacks. Only 1 place for food and long line.

We have had annual passes for many years. Kids love the place and so do we. Parking is a breeze and the park is well maintained.

Great experience although it was chilly so some of the animals were not in there exhibits. But other then that enjoyed my childhood year's again as an adult for the first time.

Great place! And really affordable prices really nice for the whole family really recommend it.

There are many species to see. I struggled to find a place to eat during the afternoon. It's hot, you have to remember to take a hat and protect yourself well with sunscreen. Do not forget to drink regularly in summer.

Nice but can be crowded on weekends. Weekdays are much better.

My kids and I love the La Zoo. But pack snacks and lunch because it can get a bit expensive.

Awesome zoo..just be prepared to walk uphill in a spiral direction so have comfortable shoes! We did it though it's a good workout! I think my favorite part was the monkeys up on top of the hill pretty entertaining the flamingos and the Bear! but I'm an animal lover so I loved it all!!

It was nice...Really big and spacious...I got tired of walking so much but I enjoyed it...
