Held daughters wedding reception here 12/10/19. Could not fault. Staff were super friendly. Atmosphere was more than we could ever have asked for and the prices of meals and drinks didn't break the bank. Absolutely stunning job in the function room. Just Beautiful. Thanks Buderim tavern.

An absolutely beautiful location overlooking nature. The sticker beef riblets were great and the chicken avocado parmy was the best I ve ever had.

Made me feel unwelcome. I'm disgusted. Was very polite and respectful. Caused no disturbance. Security guard says I can't take the cutesy bus because I spent no money there after spending money on the pokies and have done so many times before. Dressed respectfully and get interigated and treated like a nothing. Had a backpack..asked if I had drinks or drugs in my bag, which I didn't at all and told to put my backpack behind the counter to which I respectfully complied. What about purses? Talk about a double standard. Called up to make a complaint or inquiry about the overbearing and disrespectful nature of a security guard. Never caused any problems there. I've always had a good time. Adrian, the manager answered the phone and I expressed my concerns or inquiries regarding treatment out of respect for patron's, and he said that I was basically a lier and that I didn't play the pokies because they had already checked the cameras. l asked him kindly to check again because I was in there earlier. Human being and demand to be treated as such respectfully in future.
A very pleasant evening with excellent food and friendly staff. I did feel a bit sorry for the staff there as they seemed a bit short on numbers. Particular thanks to Callum in the bar and on the Keno machine.
I asked for a medium steak but it was well done I usually would ask for it to be changed but it was a work lunch and didn't want to appear fussy.
Food is always spot on even with a full bistro, max 45 min wait and flawless food. The best atmosphere and views you will find on the coast.
Great views.. However do not cater much for all allergies.. Suggest meals that are Gluten Free, low fodmap.

Hi guys and gals at the Buderim Tavern! My friends and I very much enjoy your establishment its atmosphere and great service. But please cook the steak as requested and by that I mean medium-rare does not mean well-done. Medium does also not mean well-done. You are charging top price for your meals and one third of your menu is dedicated to steak, we would greatly appreciate it if the meals were prepared to the advertised high standards and pricing.

It was Mother's Day and quite busy. Given they use a booking system they should have had enough staff to cope. Service was friendly but slow. 3 out of 5 meals incorrect and coffee arrived 20 minutes later.

Was rudely asked if id signed in by at big rough tattooed bartender. When clearly we had already as he could see us.
Then took 40mins to get our drinks order.

We called in last Saturday night for a drink and the staff behind the bar were lovely.
Previously, we have had meals there too. I find the 'Bar' food to be better than the meals served in the family area. Parmy was execellent! Always clean as well which is nice to see. Doesnt have that 'unclean' feel to it. We always enjoy going here.

Spent $160 on dinner for the family, meals came out presented poorly, than the final meal was dropped onto a party member, no apology from the waitress. Disgusting and embarrassing.
Great food, setting and service. Best Caesar salad I had and super generous portions. We were told it may be a wait for our meals due to a fuction and full house. It was out in 15mins.

On the night we visited the was an extensive delay with our meals because a kitchen staff member (chef?) went home early due to illness. Obviously not their fault, BUT....
Would have been nice if they told us sooner after we had already waited a little over an hour (meals finally arrived after nearly two hours).
It would have gone a long way to customer satisfaction if perhaps someone had bothered to at least offer some complimentary chips, or soft drink, or SOMETHING. This would not have cost the venue much, but would have been appreciated.
Meals themselves were pretty ordinary - luke warm and some of them dried out like they had been sitting in a warmer for ages.
Overall a pretty disappointing experience.
Not recommended.
P.S. I find the owner's response to this negative review quite telling. Most businesses in response to a negative review would reply along the lines of ,"Sorry to hear about you experience, we've taken your feedback on board, will aim to do better next time".
But this owner's response? "You (the customer) are wrong. You didn't wait 2 hours." And then don't even bother addressing the other issues or suggestions in the review.
So, to be clear: We DID wait nearly two hours. Some of the food was NOT very good,. Some sort of gesture on the night WOULD have been appreciated and improved this review.
Had a great local reunion group there. The service was excellent, staff both efficient and friendly. The meals disappeared amazingly quickly for a bunch of over eighty year olds, and as well as tasty were well priced. The Buderim Tavern is strongly recommended.

I've been a few times now and found the staff to be excellent and always fourth coming in service. Also the food is delicious.
Have been coming here for years and just had the worst eye fillet steaks ever! Medium rare should not be grey. If I hadn't already waited an hour, I would have sent it back. Not happy

Very very very very very expensive drinks (i.e. $9.50 for a bourbon & coke not pre mixed) steaks are 'Graziers' which we all know means Aldi steak is better quality.

Stopped into the Tavern for some drinks and food after climbing mount Coolum. I haven t been here in years! The venue was outstanding and the food was better than I remember! Staff were amazing, special mention to Di and Ava. Will definitely be back for the food and service!

Buderim tavern Jazz and Shiraz New Year s Eve 2019
Booked in for 4 adults and 2 children expecting a special event for New Year s Eve. Absolutely pathetic ruined our New Year s Eve. We specifically booked the event to find out when we arrived that our table was not even in the room with the Jazz band.
After a verbal altercation with the Manager we where moved to a table in the main room. There was no real effort at decoration and the room looked like it does on any other night of the week.
We had food delivered at different times. One part of the table had finished their meals by the time the other meals arrived. We of course know it is New Year s Eve, but we where only a table of 4 adults and two children.
We ended up leaving at 9pm to go home and watch the fireworks from our own terrace to ensure we enjoyed the rest of the evening.
If a company promotes a New Years event they have a duty of responsibility to at least deliver some sort of atmosphere and special night. New Year s Eve is one night of the year which is supposed to be remembered. We will certainly remember this year.

The food was good and the staff very friendly however those stairs out the back are a accident waiting to happen.

I was there yesterday (sunday) for a couple if beers with my house mate. I ordered a cocktail and eyes a hour of waiting the vs girl hasn't passed it on. Upon asking the male manager was very rude to the both of us then threated to kick us out for been intoxicated ( I'd only had 2 beers). I have been there a few times over the years and now will never return, I won't understand how a manager could carry on like that and just how rude he was. I will be telling others about this and will never step good in this place again. I would also head there for dinner sometimes and also will never be doing that again. Shame on this manager he is very un professional and really should have handled the situation better. I had dinner there on the Thursday night and the lady was fantastic, maybe he could keen a bit of customer service skills off her.
My 93 year old mother on a special outing found the steak impossible to eat.

Great venue. Great food. Friendly, helpful staff. Great for private events. But if an event is on and you're not in it, it does take away the amazing view of the ocean from everyone else. Otherwise the place is great - highly recommend.

Met my wife there 11 years ago and go back regularly for lunch or dinners. Staff were very helpful and fun to deal with. Food was amazing and we'll worth the price was paid, the Fillet Minion was cook to perfection in my books and will always be coming back for the atmosphere and the history it holds for us. Oh yeah, the view is exceptional.
