Ill keep this simple. Avoid the seafood! If I wanted defrosted fish, possibly sourced from the freezer in Woolies next door, I would cook it myself at home. Mushie fish and washed out taste less oysters costing well over $50 isnt a dinning experience, even for a pub.
Suggest you read other reviews as well before booking here.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was underwhelming. I had the rib filet $39 it was cooked well how I wanted it to be but it had absolutely NO flavor! I got mine with the garlic cream which also had no flavor so when The waitress asked how everything was I let her know I wasn t overly pleased with my steak so she did bring me another sauce the Diane sauce which was good and flavorful and with that sauce I was able to eat the rest of the steak but honestly I can cook much better and more flavorful steak at home that I get from the local meat market. The salad that came with the meal was ok but a lot of the lettuce was brown colored so that was kind of off putting as well. Overall it was definitely not worth the $39 it cost and since I paid for the meal before I ate it it s not like they could offer me my money back or take the steak off my bill.

Place was way to busy for my liking, orders were mixed up or forgotten.
When we did receive our lunch it was fine & the view was great. But, way under staffed for the large lunch crowd.
Maybe somewhere a little quieter next time.

Good food, lovely staff, wonderful decor and superb view.
I think the prices are a little more expensive than what you d expect for pub surroundings but I think calling the establishment a tavern downplays it s more sophisticated appeal. The dining area overlooks the valley going toward the coast and provides amazing views day or night. The gaming rooms are very seperate from the restaurant and the vibe is not like sitting at a pub.
Use the front entry if mobility is an issue as there is a steep stairway to traverse from the back car park.
We visited Easter weekend and the kids were gifted chocolate eggs from the Easter Bunny , a nice touch.

Great food in a great spot with a great view. Cannot fault the service and the food is high quality for the price. My meat pie was good even though I found traces of the mushy peas I had told them I didn't want. My dining partners all loved their steak which seems to be the go to dish here. The garlic bread is great too!

Lovely place, bar staff and table staff were terrific.
Sadly the expensive 'best of all' steak left more than a lot to be desired.
Dry, overcooked steak served on a bed of yummy mash and veg but mash was drowning in what I think was supposed to be jus so even the veg were spoilt.
Chicken Princess looked great but warmed, old chips and wilted salad took away the appeal.
Even the short, dark hair found in the salad however wasn't going to stop the enjoyment, that was done by the second hair found under the ham, in the sauce.
Refund was received from an ungracious hostess.
Hair was queried as all kitchen staff allegedly wear hair covers, those of which were not worn by all when I was ordering our meals, most noticeably by those with short dark hair.
Senior shnitty meal was ok, apart from old chips and questionable salad, mushroom linguine was overly salty, most of the meal was left uneaten.
Definitely won't be recommending this place to those looking for somewhere good for dinner.
View from dining room was amazing, but not enough to cover the lousy meals.

My wife and I went out for a meal on Saturday night with two friends, who were visiting from the UK. We ordered our meal and paid separately, notifying the lady on the till that we were eating together at the same table. Two meals arrived on time, the other two meals did not arrive, so after ten minutes I informed a waitress, who went the kitchen, then returned saying it wouldn t be too much longer, after another five minutes I asked again, and promptly got the same message after a visit to the kitchen. After half and hour I set off to find the waitress again, who instructed me to speak with the manageress. I must say she was probably one of the rudest ladies I have ever encountered, well what can we give you to compensate for the meal being late she said with a glib sarcastic voice. I informed her that I was not after any free items, we just wanted to eat together as a group, and after all we were paying $200 dollars for our meals including drinks. The manageress just gave me a look of contempt. I must say the waitress was brilliant, she had informed the kitchen staff three times about our meal, and I think she was just as frustrated as us about the situation. A by the way the lamb shoulder was as tough as shoe leather.

There were six of us, we mostly had Seniors meal & all thought it was good value. We were not able to have steak although it was advertised. Parking is your problem as a few of us are unable to walk far & too many stairs! We did have a great day.

The staff are always extremely helpful and the food is great (especially for a tavern). If you book ahead (and on a week night) you can usually get a window seat to enjoy the fantastic view. The kids play area is not supervised, so if you are with young kids, it is worth asking to be seated nearby.

No issues with the food. Lovely outlook from the outdoor deck. Disliked the complete lack of attention paid by parents to their children. The children ran back and forth and around our table all the while screaming and knocking tables and chairs. No doubt their parents were having a pleasant, quiet meal as the kids rampaged outside. Atmosphere and enjoyment of meal; zero.

The bar and restaurant was empty, we wanted coffee and cocktails, followed by lunch, but the greeter / maitre d was rude and dismissive and said they were booked out, before reluctantly finding us a table, and the bar staff were just as bad. We finished our drinks, dumped the menus, walked out and went to a friendly cafe in the Main Street for lunch. I ve never written a bad review - but this place warrants one.

On the 24th of Feb my wife Rebecca and I celebrated our Wedding Reception at the Buderim Tavern Events Room. We wanted to extend our thanks to the Buderim Tavern staff for truly helping to make our evening a delight for us and all of our guests. From the onset, Lisa the onsite Events Manager was considerate and approachable with our requests and gently led us through the busy process of arranging a Wedding Reception. On the day it all came together so professionally. The Wait staff and Bar staff were excellent, constantly attending to our guests at a level which I just did not expect. Guests commented on the excellent food, both tasteful and adequate in size to ensure everyone was content. The atmosphere overlooking the East Coast was spectacular and the room size allowed for our 90 guests comfortably. The hire price of the room was modest which allowed us to spend more on the food and drinks package which suited us well.

We really felt like VIP's that night, and highly recommend people take advantage of this section of the Buderim Tavern as a consideration for their wedding reception venue.

Thanks again Lisa and all the staff, your service is truly 5 star!

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the waterfalls on a Saturday. It was very busy and we thought the wait for our lunch would have taken a long time however we only waited approximately 25mins. They had a playground, face painting and a jumping castle for the kids. Great views, friendly service, good meals at an ok price. (Bit pricey for certain meals).

The only thing better than the food is the service. Very tasty and very generous serves ....bug risotto was amazing! Service above and beyond.....brought jugs of water to our table and were very friendly and helpful! Great indoor play area for the kids and outside there was a jumping castle and to top off there was a face painter.....kids had a ball and didn't want to leave! My new favorite place we will be back!
