Went here for breakfast while in town for work--the coffee is nothing earth-shattering (though definitely good), but I thoroughly enjoyed some perfectly sunny side up eggs, delicious hash browns, and buttered toast on what tasted like thick artisan bread. The building was warm on a cool autumn day; I only wish I could have stayed in the cozy atmosphere longer.

Best sandwich in Calgary! Loved the build your own sandwich options. My side salad was fresh and delicious (beets, goat cheese, pecans & mandrin oranges over mixed greens with a lovely homemade poppy seed dressing). Had a dessert square that was also delicious and big enough to split with my husband. Prices are reasonable to boot!

Terrific sandwiches!!! This is the place to have a custom sandwich made on a variety of incredible breads. Fresh vegetables, deli meats and the bread... did I mention the bread!? Great local spot to grab your favourite sandwich and a cup of coffee while about town.

Counter staff is very friendly. Food quality is excellent and portion size is sufficient for the guys too! The atmosphere is typical cheery bistro-busy. The only oddity is the method of ordering a sandwich.. sheets of preprinted one-time-use paper menus and highlighter pens.. you design your sandwich using the highlight pen... the waste this generates is mind boggling.. sure the paper is recycled.. still not the most environmentally friendly approach to order processing.

I called on a Friday at 3:30pm to put an order in to pick-up breakfast catering for a meeting on the following Monday. The catering manager had left but the person that answered their telephone gave me the catering manager's name and email and told me to email the order and that they would be open at 7am on Monday so the order could be ready by 9am. When I called at 7am on the Monday morning to confirm the order, they told me they couldn't do it because I hadn't put the order in on time. I was stuck scrambling to try to feed 13 people for my 10:00am breakfast meeting. Had I been told that when I called, I would have made other arrangements. No apologies or accommodations to help me salvage the disaster. My first time requesting food from them, and my last.

The sandwiches at this place keep me coming back for more...whether at lunch or on the way to the mountains, it s one of those things that I suddenly crave! Plus, the baked goods are delicious and uber sweet, something that I love sharing with my boyfriend or friends! Love this Calgary institution!

Good place to stop for a bite to eat
they make really good custom sandwiches and have a gluten free bread option, there coffees and teas are really good as well and a decent price.
Also if you have a sweet tooth there deserters are amazing and I would highly recommend the carrot cake.

Food was nice. Small menu. It's more of a self serve place which is not defined in there advertising. You order when you arrive and also pay before recieving food or service which makes it difficult to calculate a tip. You also clean off your own plate and leave it for washing. Therefore it makes the price high somewhat.

Friendly, chill atmosphere, hearty portions (have you SEEN THE COOKIES?), but quite pricey. Breakfast and a tea cost me $15 and the hashbrowns were undercooked :( willing to give them benefit of the doubt since everything else was so delicious.

Nice place, desserts are tasty when fresh.
A tad pricey for a sandwich shop, but good food.
Not wheelchair accessible like google says,
Staff are nice.

Used to love this place. But has gone downhill. Dry, half-sandwich with a limp little lettuce leaf and barely any turkey for 9 bucks. Major attitude from staff who make no attempt to hide their distaste at taking your order. I keep hoping for it to be better but alas Calgary has far better places now.

Quality has gone downhill, had the Benny s early on a Saturday- eggs were tiny and beyond over cooked with no flavour, little to no hollandaise, bacon was mediocre and scarce. Potatoes and fruit were fine, but for $15 you gotta do better.

Had breakfast here and I was very impressed! Their bread is of a superior quality and tastes amazing. I ordered their cinnamon apple French toast and I was very impressed. You get 4 huge, light, fluffly pieces of French Toast and some bacon on the side for a very reasonable price. Thier dessert options looked delicious as well. I will definitely be coming back to try more!

I love this place - it s in my hood and typically my go to breakfast joint.

Love the potatoes and huge grilled toast. They re probably due for a Reno, but the food and service are great. Will be back!

They definitely have wonderful dessert options but their sandwich was way overpriced. Nearly $12 for a simple build-your-own sandwich that you could make for less than $5 on your own. The rest of the menu I have no tried but based on that alone, I would not go back except for the desserts.

They got so many delicious desserts, but last time I got salad and asked add a chicken which costed 4+$, and actually I don t think it was a chicken, tasted like ham, and I hardly could find in my salad. So I think 4+$ it s way overpriced for little piece of ham, which I think you should mention it in menu, that it s not chicken!

Good is reasonably good, but overpriced. This case feels crowded right from getting in the door, even if half the tables are empty because of the way the counters are set up. You can't read the menu until you're right at the till, so this slows the line down, significantly. Needs fewer obstructions; larger, clearer text; better line layout, and better prices. I would eat there again, but it won't be any time soon.
