Disappointed but gave them another chance. Ordered the eggs benedicts, terrible! Bacon was left over & cold from day before. I have ordered soup & sandwich from here many times & been happy so I thought I would give them another chance. Went back the next time tried the order with ham instead & sauce was cold! Sorry that's it! Lost my business Lazy Loaf what the matter with you? Too much business? Beginning of the end of your business.

Their kettle bread is really good. Super soft and the flavor is amazing. I had the french toast and the portion is really big. Added a side of sausage too! Potato hash was soft and tasty! Definitely will be coming back

Neat local spot for breakfast. Had the eggs Benny and they were decent. Seemed a bit understaffed when I went based on the remarks from the staff and the delay for food. Would go back to give it another shot.

Tasty, good service and comfy, but in find the place a bit pricey ... 12 bucks for a scone and an orange juice seems steep. But most places seem that way nowadays.

Otherwise it's fine. Good bread too.

A bit pricey for sure, but I really enjoyed my Reuben sandwich :) service was friendly, albeit a bit slow, which is expected of a place this busy. Macaroni and cheese had a very Instagram worthy cheese stretch.

Had asian turkey soup. Good taste but mostly broth

Greek salad. Descent enough salad mix (only a couple of the wilted green leaves - seems standard now. Too add flavour i guess ;). dressing too strong for me

Great bun. Needs couple butters though to really enjoy just one guess I should have gotten off my butt and asked for another

I have been coming here a couple times a year for the past 10+ years. Usually just for a casual lunch with a friend, soup and sandwich or soup and salad. The sandwiches have always been good, but just that...a sandwich. I've always found the prices a bit high for what you get, but the food was always fresh and decent tasting (again, nothing special). The central location is truly what has kept me coming back. I recently met my girlfriend for lunch after not coming here for quite a while. The prices seemed to take a startling just over previous times. I expressed my alarm to my friend, and she agreed and said that when she paid for her food she was also taken aback and didn't remember things being quite so expensive. I will not be returning here in the future, there are many businesses in Calgary that offer a much better value. What a shame :(

Great food, amazing baked goods, variable service. Sometimes the service is reasonable, but usually, it s brutal! Waited 15 minutes just to be spoken to, with only one group ahead of us. Waited another 10 minutes to pay for and receive our take out order, that we could see was ready from the time we got there. Painfully slow service. If you see anyone in line, walk away.

Great little stop for atmosphere and great (although a little pricey) sandwiches.
It was quite busy when i went but their ordering system (write down what you want and pass it over) makes it fairly streamlined. Would dine again.

Lost one star for the price of their food. The portions of ordered food are average, and they want quite a bit of money for them. On the plus side, the food is EXCELLENT. The toast is so thick that I thought I was served a loaf of bread.

Good sandwich

Good sandwich

Nice space to enjoy time with a friend

Quick, friendly service

Ordered the omelette with veggies and avocado.
The omelette was like a thin layer of plastic. Very chewy, I managed two bites and couldn't eat more. Even my dog wouldn't touch the egg. The avocado was disappointing as I was expecting fresh instead it was a brown sludge. Toast was great though! Lol

The atmosphere feels like it belongs in a small town, nice and cozy. The food was alright, nothing all that special. To be perfectly honest it felt pretty pricy for what you got. I am not fond of places that cheap out on their greek salads with lettuce.

A great location down by the river if you're out and about and want to grab some coffee or fresh breads; however, I have found that when it is the least bit busy the service has been unreasonably slow considering the simplicity of their menu. As well, many items are quite overpriced.

First of all, this place is always busy. It's hard to find a table and even a to go order is going to take 15-20 minutes. Don't be a sicker and try to park in front of it, there is a huge reserved parking lot half a block west. Service is hit and miss, sometimes it's a super nice, peppy cashier, sometimes it's a stressed out, cranky one.

Food portions are excellent value. The sandwiches are stacked with the toppings of your choosing with no extra charges aside from extra meat and cheese. They are made properly, even after getting home, not soggy. Soups are very good, butternut squash and apple was incredible. The bread we choose, as they were out of the house loaf, was a bit over powered by the spices, but good nevertheless.

Super cute local cafe, has a small but nice selection of breakfast foods from bacon & eggs & hashbrowns to breakfast pastries (I think the pastries are better than the eggs & hash, imho). It's quite popular, and gets busy pretty fast, so if you want to have a sit down meal it's best to come early to grab a seat. The London Fog here is delicious.

Food and coffee are both really good, but long waits, pricey, and usually not enough seating or parking. Great for meeting up with friends or dates, but I wouldn't bring your kids there. It's very noisy and crowded.

Unfortunately after todays service I will not be back. Came in just before 2pm to order a sandwich to go and didn't leave until 2:27pm. I get that it is Saturday and the cafe is very busy but to wait that long for a cold sandwich.... and then when I asked to check on my order it was always an inconvenience to the staff member I checked with. 2 people that ordered after me got their order much quicker. I was checking with the staff on my order as I assumed it had been forgotten. The initial conversation was friendly and said it would only be another 1-2 minute wait. But when I followed up 10 minutes after that initial check in I was really only offered an eye roll. Food is always good, no complaints but for me the service was poor enough today that I will not be back.

I have been coming to Lazy loaf for years and have never had a poor quality meal, ever. Fresh food, great custom made sandwiches and baked goods! Parking is limited and the little cafe gets packed quickly. I find it s busiest between 11-1!

I haven't been able to get through an order here so I can't really comment on the food or even the coffee. The staff are that unfriendly that I don't even want to finish the process of ordering. The general arrangement of the cafe is as chaotic as Extreme Bean which is just across the street and between the two places, I am not sure I would even bother to stop at either. It's really too bad because the area really lends itself to a great leisure and recreational vibe however the coffee shops and cafes in this little Parkdale pocket are really awful. I cannot recommend this uncomfortable and rude attitude business just as I cannot recommend Extreme Bean.
