This morning upon check out I noticed 2 coach wallets were stolen from my room. The front desk didn t seem too bothered by it until I told them I called The law. There are no cameras in the hallways to see if anyone came in and out of our room only a key log on the door which was off approximately 1- 2 hours. Hotel manager only talked to me and my boyfriend for 2 minutes before the police got there. She didn t speak to me after. Seems like house keeping is shady since it was a business trip and occurred during our banquet time but can not be sure. Myrtle beach police rock though. A police report was filed.
I totally agree with the gentle that posted today. This place is the worse place ever. Fake advertisement online. The customer service is so bad and the place is so rachet. I will not recommend anyone this place
Needs to be updated badly. The smell of weed was so bad the entire week that we couldn't even sit outside. We had to leave the pool many times because the smell was so strong. The waterpark on the other side is falling apart inside the pool area. My little girl got her toe cut open because the concrete is tearing up inside the pool.
I did not enjoy my spring break vacation. I did not feel comfortable at all. The resort is extremely outdated. The smell is awful, smells like urine and sewage throughout the resort. The inside pool area was disgustingly nasty. One pool was even shut down, the view almost made me want to puke it looked so bad. The weather outside was not good so we were subject to the inside activities only and we couldn t even enjoy that due to the nastiness. I would not recommend this resort to anyone ever. Major renovations need to be made. This was more of a motel stay vs a resort stay.
This resort treats their owners like they are beneath them. Very rude. Will never be coming back!
We live locally but rented a room cheaply on Groupon to take our visiting grandkids for a winter vacation to enjoy the inside pools, lazy river and spas. We all loved it. Their parents stayed at our home and had a weekend at the beach without the kids! They loved it. The place was an older facility, but clean. Food was fair in both restaurants. We will do it again.

Cockroaches running around the room at night. Smelled like a pig farm in living room and carpet is wet. Housekeeper entered the room after we checked in unannounced. A family was also double booked and entered our room with another room key. Scary place book at your own risk!
I had good customer service here. Front desk customer service was good. Thanks to Russ I won't give 1 star - he was great.
It doesn't look like the pictures online, it's old, run down and safety concerns. Wish I could give a better review. I would not go there again.
Was lied to about my room was told it was ocean front when I got there it was a side view paid for ocean front. Then I was told there was nothing they could do they were booked up. Sorry service and this was the 6th year in a row I stayed there so much for previous customer service don't stay there not in less you like bad service and liars
My family of 5 just finished our stay of 7 nights here. Hotel was...okay. The landmark was prob. The place to be 25 years ago but it's age is showing. Starbucks was nice, the many pools options were nice but overall it was lacking. When we checked into the room, we looked for bugs (We always do everywhere we go). We didn't find any bugs, which is great, but their was hair everywhere. Hair on the sheets, sticky stuff on the chairs and table, hair in the floor and the corners of the room and bathroom didn't look like they had been touched in years. Outside always smelled of weed. Nice view of the ocean and mrytle beach though. Also, the last 3 nights of our stay our neighbor was up slamming their balcony door from about 11 to 3 am. It was horrible. Anyways, while we had a good time on our vacation. We won't be back. If your okay with dirty walls in the breakfast restaurant and hair everywhere, then it's a great place to be otherwise, spend 200 more for the week and get a better stay.
Everything was broken: the lazy river, the bathrooms and the ice machines. It's not worth the money for sure. I will never go back there again
Me and my husband went for the weekend and Landmark Resort needs to be torn down and rebuilt seriously. The hotel is very old. The staff is very nice and professional but room service did not clean our room even after we called and asked if they could bring us some towels they never came.
Because of COVID a lot was shut down so I couldn't experience everything to be fair. However, do note that if you do not book directly through the hotel you will not have access to the bar at the pool.

This was the worst experience I've had with this hotel. It was my 50th birthday weekend yet I didn't get to enjoy myself. First, when I made the reservation with the hotel Bluegreen(timeshare) kept calling me back trying to get me to do a timeshare. When I complained the manager acted like he didn't know Bluegreen was calling their reservations. That's not true because how did Bluegreen get my number and know when I was coming to MB. Second, I was told to call the day of my arrival and they would block off some spaces for my trailer. I did that and when I got there no spaces had been blocked off. Third, I asked to not have a room on the end of the hall near the door that goes to the other parts of the hotel because people constantly go through the doors and slam them at all times if the night but we were given that room anyway. Next, I paid my deposit by credit card. I called back to pay the remainder of the bill and the lady told me not to pay all of it because the hotel would charge me 100.00 when I arrived. So I paid all of it but 100.00. I get to the hotel and give them 100.00 cash and they want me to give them another 100.00 since I'm paying in cash. The manager stated it was on their site but like I told him I had already paid the majority of the bill with a credit card. He waived the 100.00 fee. The room was ok but I didnt like how the maid only knocked once and just came in the room with her key before I could get to the door. Never staying here again.
Rooms were nice but nothing like the pictures. One BIG PROBLEM for me was the fact that the sheets were nasty so we had to go out and buy new ones because we have a 2 yr old son. Other than that it was a nice weekend.

Pretty nice place and great for people traveling with family or by yourself. The rooms are clean and updated fairly well. There are a few different water areas to relax at from pools to hot tubs to lazy rivers too. The staff was super friendly throughout the entire stay. Drinks and food were pretty nice at the various restaurants and made it easy to grab a bite to eat without driving or worrying about delivery. Only issue would be a couple of the elevators had a lingering old wet odor smell due to the water from people coming in and out the pools and beach. I would say a deep cleaning and minor upkeep would be great for them.

Check in was a long wait. First night here alot of noise and kids running. The lobby was hot. No carts to transport luggage. Made manager aware of inconveniences she didn't apologize or offer anything to compensate me. An apology would have went a long way.
This place is gross! While I was happy to be on a break with my family, I couldn t wait to check out. The room smelled mildewy and smoky and the balcony looked dirty. The beds are very uncomfortable and the TV initially wasn t working but they were prompt with having it fixed. We alerted the front desk that we didn t have a shower curtain then we left to have dinner. We came back to see the curtain on the bathroom counter (why not just hook it up?) The amenities were okay, a bit dingy looking. But I will say the staff were very nice, especially the woman who works at the mini golf area. I won t ever want to stay here again though!
The pictures and website can be deceiving on this being a "resort". This is a very fine hotel, super friendly staff, very clean and a ton of amenities which you will have trouble finding time to use them all. I will recommend this place to anyone and definitely stay again.

Too many issues with room and balcony and have currently waited nearly 2 days (in the room) with the main issues yet to be resolved! I'm not very happy at the moment, nor are my children!
Update: Most issues were resolved once I was able to speak with the GM Fitz! So thank you Mr. Fitz!
This property is large and makes you feel as if you are in a habit trail for hamsters. In its day, I bet it was fantastic. It's very dated. The beds are terrible. The restaurants are very small and very limited. The lounge needs to be a bit larger as well. The water park is newer and outstanding! Lots of indoor pools for kids and hot tubs too. Let's not forget the lazy river. There is also outdoor lazy river, pool and hot tub. We went in the off season and it was $40 a night so we didn't mind the dated rooms. Even tho it was dated, in the rooms are kitchen sink, mini fridge, microwave and real dishes! For a budget minded family, this is not a bad place.

The staff is very pleasant in the hotel, the outside service by the childrens pool and putt putt not so much. Loved our room service lady. The room could have used some updating especially the bathrooms. All said and done it was a nice stay with gorgeous views.

Parking tight at check-in but employees directed traffic to make it easier. Clean room but smelled like cigarette smoke (clearly listed as non-smoking on the door but I was willing to overlook this because everything was so clean. Hallway smelled like someone was smoking weed in their room (someone in my party actually saw the guest airing the smoke out of the room). Easy to access the beach. No one in our party was handicapped but I was impressed by the pool lifts, beach wheelchairs, and other amenities I saw throughout the resort to make it easier for people with disabilities. I was not impressed with dinner at Latitudes. Our server was friendly but the tables weren't clean, the service and food were slow. Mac and cheese was literally Kraft Mac and Cheese with nicer cheese on top. The pizza was doughy, not crispy. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Great tasting and lots of variety. The magic show was also a great price and very entertaining. If magic ever fails, he's got a career in comedy.
I would NEVER recommend that anyone stay in this hotel. It was very dirty, it felt old and dingy, and we felt unsafe. I have included pictures of the room we had and after staying one night we could not continue with our stay. There was some kind of water leak or mold on the ceiling and the smell was very musty. The microwave was dirty as was the fridge and the carpets. Many things in the room did not work properly. The pool was murky and there was just a general feeling of shady things going on in the surrounding areas. The one good thing I will share is that the staff were for the most part very kind to us and even gave us a refund for all the nights we were not going to stay, when we checked out after the first night. Again, pay a little more and go somewhere else!

They are the worst no working toilet or shower and did not have the decency to offer another room a refund a free weekend nothing to soften the blow of not being able to shower after the beach or use a clean toilet! Never again!!!
SAVE YOUR MONEY and go somewhere else!!! The only two positives... the view of the ocean, and Brittany at the front desk who moved us from our first FILTHY room to one not quite as filthy, and that is being generous saying it was not quite as filthy. I don't know if I am more disappointed with the establishment itself, or myself for not researching the establishment more. We drove 16 hours from Wisconsin to try to have a wonderful family getaway and upon our arrival our first room was so gross and dirty!!!! There was grease on the stove, the microwave was filthy, and the refrigerator looked like it had not been wiped out since I don't know when. Thank goodness we were able to move to a slightly cleaner room. I say slightly with emphasis on slightly. The beds and pillows seem to have been here from whenever the Landmark has opened. It is time for new sheets and bedspreads! Our sheets were so 'grayed' and our bedspread had stains and cigarette burns in it. The floors, moldings, air conditioners, well, most every surface is extremely dusty. My family wore shoes from the moment we woke, to the moment we laid down. It was like pulling teeth asking for clean towels, facial tissue, tissue, or coffee, and we tipped our room attendant daily, adding up to a significant amount by the end of our stay. I don't know what it would have been like if we wouldn't have left gratuity??? Not to mention, I made our beds daily, which I don't mind, but just a sidenote. Then there are the common areas and pool areas. These areas are also POORLY maintained!!! We arrived on a Sunday (then stayed until a Friday morning), and the first good cleaning we saw was on Wednesday morning. I do have to say there was an afternoon gentleman who straightened chairs and tables on a daily basis, but I never saw one employee wipe down tables or chairs during our stay. I was glad I brought Wet Wipes to wipe down where we sat by the pool area. The pools were okay. One main pool seems to be cleaned daily. The others seem to be cleaned on an every other day basis. I am not sure if there is a lack of staff (we did notice the Now Hiring on the front sign), or if the staff just is so unhappy with their positions, but the lack of upkeep at this establishment is truly disappointing (from the hallways, to the rooms, to the elevators, to the garbage around the pool areas.) I know our vacation was to be about being by the ocean, which we had never seen before, and we're very excited about, but the lacking accommodations truly put a gray cloud over our entire stay. We will never be back, and we surely will not recommend to anyone ever.

My husband and I have been staying here for years. We come to myrtle beach at least 4 times a year and enjoy it, except this time! We was there on Oct. 15 for my husband birthday, but we had roaches in our room! We reported to the night manager joey and he made us feel like it was our problem not the hotels he offered a down graded room and no money back. He also stated that if we did not take that we were out of luck, so we ended up leaving it was midnight and i was still in my pjs we love in Ga. and drove home in the middle of the night I am on oxygen and my husband suffers from explosive Ptsd from war. I tried to get him to understand you shouldn't blame the customer for reporting and when they report fix the issues. We will not give them or business anymore in the future visits. This is where we come to relax.
After reading all the reviews I was not going to stay here...but took a chance and it was great. The indoor water area is GREAT. The room we was in was nice ...the furniture was new and the carpet was also. The outside pool was heated also

Forget early check in. They have a system that makes it seem like rooms are pre assigned at the point of reservation. I can't be sure. AC wasn't working but they responded in a decent amount of time. Some of the halls are extremely humid and muggy. It makes you feel disgusting. The ceiling in the room is peeling and looks molded in some spots. Don't forget your shower shoes. The tub looks old. The shower pressure was good and the water was nice and hot. The best thing about this hotel is the beach that's right behind it.
Rooms need renovation but my overall stay was good. Used lazy and outdoor pool alot, that was fun. I wouldnt eat at the breakfast spot they have downstairs, a real let down. Spacious garage for cars.
I'm sure it's very enjoyable for families, but we couldn't find a lounge chair to use. Lots of empty ones, but people place towels on them by 6 in the morning! Food mediocre. Coffee pot wouldn't work. No one cleaned our room during three night stay. Had to get our own towels, coffee, etc. Music, poolside nice.

Upon arrival we had access to plenty of parking in the 9 story garage , located across the street. Check-in was very easy and the room was easy to find and clean. There were plenty of rooms were available that were an ocean view or Oceanfront. The room rates were extremely cheap around $67 per night. This Resort offers many amenities such as hot tubs lazy rivers and pools that are inside and outside with the ocean being just steps away; Hotel staff was friendly.
I liked the indoor pool especially with the weather getting colder. This place offers breakfast with eggs and the works. The rooms are nice and great prices especially qith it being so close to the beach.
People doing drugs all around our room, couldn't even open the balcony door without the Smell coming in. Wouldn't let our kids out of our sight for a second. Said good morning to multiple house keepers. 2 ignored me completely. 1 made a rude sound. Ice machine not working on multiple floors. Very hot and humid in the halls, stinks in the elevator. Maybe ok for some college kids partying... But not family friendly.

The front desk employees are helpful and sweet. No problem at all. The ocean front, kings suite is big, roomy and affordable. The beds are soft,comfty but, firm. The room was totally clean and smelled fine. We always request the 3rd floor. It feels like we're close enough to touch the water. It's awesome! Very happy vacationers. We will always come back here. :)
This is an older building,but thats no excuse for the poor upkeep of the common areas. Hallways were dingy and in desperate need of paint and new flooring. Windows were dirty and the elevators were filthy. There was an odd smell in the hallways. While our room was decent and appeared to have been lightly remodeled, for the money we paid, I would not stay here again. One of our pillowcases had blood on it. We were a large group with several rooms, one family member had an old tube TV in their room, another had a rusty bathtub. These are apparently condominium units owned individually. I guess some owners choose to save their money instead of update their units.
Sherman has the best customer service I have Received staying anywhere! He was very knowledgeable and even courteous! I over heard him checking in the guest next to us and wished he was checking me and my husband in bc the girl that checked us in wasn t helpful or knowledgeable at all! He turned our experience around after we asked him some questions that we heard him explaining to the other guest ! Give this man a raise or a day off all expenses paid
Great hotel and prices, one of the maintenance guys from the 4 of a kind staff (JD) was super awesome! He was working his tail off to ensure the hotel was clean and also took the time to welcome the customers and answer all questions they may have. If the resort could clone him it would be worth 10 stars. Keep up the great work.
Room was nice a d clean. The place needs work, but this is typical of the Myrtle Beach properties. It is definitely downhill from here when you try others.

We stayed Aug 21st to the 23rd, and I'll say this I would never stay again. My mother stayed in room 250which wasn't clean and the locations was facing the parking lot not the ocean, our room 938 was nasty it had the worst smell. We ended up burning candles cause at the time they were booked and we couldn't move. We will never visit this resort ever again.

Good for a family with kids nice family type setting, problems with elevators though. And had a strange smell in the lobby. The keys didn t like to work either. But they were nice about it and gave extra key cards. Great selections on the pool water area and beach access was a plus. Was disappointed that our floors were always sandy because the balcony was sandy when we got there and was never cleaned so all the sand was tracked into the room regardless of if we even went to the beach that day.

We always stay here and enjoy ourselves. Few things here n there but nothing much as with all hotels. One suggestion tho is the lobby now has a powerful floral smell as it's sent for it's air freshener. It is almost unbearable. I as most people do have formal allergies by time we were checked in my eyes we itching red and swollen had to take Benadryl. Other than that we always love our stay. So many pools and restaurants and mini golf for free and on the beach. Look forward to going back. Hope they change the air freshener smell
We stayed at landmark resort in Myrtle Beach a few years ago and they had roaches they told us we're liars because roaches can't go above the 7th floor. Fasto forward 3 years and tried it again... Bad idea... The tub was broken and was backing up into the tub. On top of that the pull tab for the shower was broken so no showers could be taken. The floors were so dirty i wouldn't let my kids take their shoes off. We left after 1 night.
Well well where do I start let's get the 2 stars out of the way first. The bar inside and outside was good and the pools and lazy rivers were very relaxing and Italian ices were good. Now for the non stars the lobby looked out dated from the web pics, they did not have enough carts to load your luggage there and back to your car. The 15th floor we were on was very warm when other hotels we stayed at were cold. The elevator buttons were falling apart and elevators were also hot mostly. They would not let us in the room till 4 on the dot when other were earlier. Only 2 burners work on the stove and my mothers tv only turned on and off and only watch 1 station. This place needs a lot of updates and should take some of there profit and invest it in the building itself.
I would spend a little extra money and stay anywhere else. The pictures on VRBO looked great but they didn t have any reviews so I sent an email. They were great at getting back to me with all my questions answered. We went ahead and booked it. Wrong decision. We got there and first impression is dirty. There is trash everywhere even the entrances to the beach. The room had not been updated since 1950. The couch was so gross I covered with a sheet and wouldn t let me kids sit on it. Pieces of the walls were missing. Stains on everything (bed, linen, towels, etc). It was so bad I fought them for 2 hours to give me my money back and we went and found another place last minute 1000miles from home. And as we were walking out it was thunderstorming and the rooms on the bottom floor were flooded. They were trying to shuffle them other places. Do not stay here!
The rooms were nasty, We waited 3 HOURS for it to be "clean" and then there was trash outside our door like it had been swept out of our room. Then when I layed down to go to sleep the bed had a big dip on the side where someone had sat on it for too long. Burn holes on the couch and the deluxe double queen set with two balcony's was totally OVERRATED. When we walked in the wall was right in our face and if your not careful you could get hit. Beds are crowded in the room. Staff is a 4/5 there were a couple ladies that wouldn't help me even pull the luggage cart into the door. The ladies at the Starbucks thing does know how to make a good Frappuccino so that's good. Only one outside pool and hot tub and lazy river everyone was crowded over there and majority of the pools and hot tubs and inside?? Like why I want to be outside and be able to relax. So Many Kids were in that pool and hot tub and it was awful and the lazy river was shoved up against the side of the building where no light reaches it. AWFUL.RESORT
Good location it's right on the beach. Lots of pools available to choose from. The food is good and the staff are very friendly.
I loved it because they had a beach with an ocean and you get to go into the ocean and you can rent a jet ski to got into the ocean
Visiting for spring break and found this gem of a hotel. The staff was everything I hoped for. Super helpful, efficient, and the service is wonderful. The hotel offers a lot of amenities for families, couple's, and friends to enjoy! They have a wide variety of food places near by, and of course the ocean is right across the property. Housekeeping and front desk have superior skills in customer service and I applaud them for that. I would highly suggest this property to anyone visiting the area or that needs a nice place to stay. Check it out, it is very much worth it!
My stays were in Sept. & January months,thus far.Hey.Look if ya wanna spend more & get all the same that Landmark provides...go on...have fun with that. Satisfied Stayee @ Landmark Myrtle Beach, S.C. here, more than once. & a ps here...I don't have lil'children anymore, but it's a great place for kids & adults. Don't be scared off about the family friendly... It's an ALL ppl of any age friendly I've stayed at 5 stars that don't have the personable personalities of the ones you will receive here. I'm totally serious & can prove it!

It needs a facelift bad!! The room was okay, some points in our trip we didnt have warm water. The staff were nice. Overall our stay was okay. The indoor pools were nice. Place needs painting, fresh carpet and maintenance needs to be done there.
Rude customer service on 1st day. Hotel staff said we needed to make reservation to clean our room. Tried twice coming down to the front desk to make such reservation for the cleaning and they told me they would just knock and let me know if I had to leave the room or be on the balcony. 4 days I was there no attempt was made for a clean room. Had to come down several times to get towels and toilet paper. Floors and carpet were very disgusting. Pictures are very deceiving. A 1 half star hotel at best.

This hotel is bad we came on Thursday and I noticed a little beetle it the bathroom by the way the doors don t even close all the way also my cousins and family been saying that they noticed bugs to so we weren t the only ones back to the point I saw the beetle on the bathroom door and I killed it but I didn t think anything about it so the next day goes by I see a big beetle on the kitchen floor and two other small ones so we killed all of them and as the days go on we noticed more and more on the walls so if your planning on staying to this hotel goodluck and you will not enjoy your stay!
Housekeeping very poor. Had to call multiple times to have our room cleaned. We left Friday night at 7 pm to head home. They still had not made it to our room to clean it for the day. The bed skirts were disgusting and hadn t been cleaned in a long time by the looks of them. Refrigerator leaked and still not fixed after a call to maintenance. Air conditioner very loud and couldn t enjoy sitting on the balcony. Very old and needs updated significantly. Heard people saying they ve stayed there before. I m shocked
I made reservations with booking.com when I went to check in they charged my card a extra $200 that wasn't disclosed to me!! Well the swiped my card so many times it kicked it back!! They shut down my debit card and my only credit card and me on vacation!! It was a Saturday! I was in another state with $100 cash, needing gas, no debit and no credit card!!!!! I about lost my mind!! I had drove 10 hours with a child!! So what happened was I spent the next 5 hours on the phone trying to get my credit and debit card turned back on! Well I finally had to have money wired to Walmart and I left Myrtle Beach and came home!! Thank you so much for ruining my first vacation in 15 years!! They are rude and I promise if I ever go back.i won't even drive by that place!!!

Horrid. It was my husband's birthday weekend and it made for one awful experience. They gave away the room we paid for leaving us with the worst room saying it was an upgrade. We called the desk and after 1 and a half of waiting told us they were full for the night. Now if they knew what we had requested, wouldn't it be possible that we could get something off just for that night until a better room came up? NO!!!
