Bad Service. Avoid.

Bad Service. Avoid.
It took 4 attempts over 3 hours to get a crib. Our son was literally falling asleep in our arms when we called the the 4th time. Maybe i should have started with the tone i used in the end....
Stayed for 6 nights. The experience didn't improve. Fire alarm at 430 a.m.. Unwilling to make me a key when I left it in the room. Complimentary coffee in the lobby eens at 6:30 a.m.

The good points are the rooms themselves, and locations.

The worst thing about it is that our view only showed the top of the CN Tower. But this place is a Wow! Where do I start? The suite upgrade, awesome housekeeping and Vanessa the hotel concierge who got us a table at the almost booked 360 Restaurant (more than the view, the food is awesome) an hour from when she booked it from us. Her recommendations were spot on and she sent us a platter of strawberries, biscotti and the outrageously delicious macaroons. The housekeeping did an immaculate clean up daily and timely. Further the welcome champagne with cheese, grapes and crackers was greatly appreciated! Yes we are members of their Select Guest Club and with good reason. They really go out of their way to make our Omni stays a Wow!

My wife and I stayed at The Omni King Edward for a few nights and it was incredible. It's a beautiful hotel situated in a great location. The most impressive about the hotel was the staff. They were all so friendly and ready to answer and accommodate us at a moments notice. The room was amazing and it was only enhanced by the professional and curteous staff members. Each staff member whether it was the front desk, concierge, or in the presidential lounge went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. It's rare to go to a hotel and have a group of individuals genuinely care about their customers. The Omni King Edward staff is an exception when it comes to making their guests feel welcomed. We will definitely be heading back to The Omni King Edward this summer and I recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel when visiting Toronto.

Everyone was kind and although it is an upscale hotel no one had attitude or expectations.
Will be attempting to use other Omni hotels if possible when travelling. It's a shame about the view however.

Its located in a relatively accessible part of downtown, away from young crowd. It has the history from outside, but inside is renovated. Bathrooms were clean, new, and pleasant. Room size was actually bigger than average. The check in/out is rather slow. No special amenities. I was not able to check and verify restaurant quality

Service was good

Service was good
Food was very bad not worth the money we paid
Scones were very hard and cold. Not king Edward's standard.
Very disappointed. I was going to book for father's day brunch After this experience I don't think so. Food quality was bad. Waste of money.

The moment you walk in there is a look decadence. From the tall ceilings to the chandeliers. I heard the hotel had renovations and that is evident. Although it still has the old school look of a historic hotel, it's decorations and furnishings are fresh and up to date. I heard a guest ask the concierge about afternoon tea, an English tradition with which I am very familiar. Apparently it is served daily in one of the lounge areas, although I'm not sure what all is served. I didn't spend the night, but I would definitely like to in the future!

Service was nice, but the hotel room hadnt been cleaned thoroughly when we arrived as we found hair on the Shower wall. We also were woken up at 2am to the sound of people stomping around directly above us and moving furniture, rolling chairs, etc. When we finally got back to sleep - after an hour and a half - in the morning we checked what was above us and found out there was a conference room. Obviously staff must have been either cleaning, or lounging.. in that space in the middle of the night. We made a complain to the front desk re: both issues and were simply told "sorry for your inconvenience..". I was disappointed in the response and couldnt believe they didnt offer anything as compensation.
We also attended the lavish Easter Brunch on Sunday and our server was quite rude, trying to rush us out the door and pressuring us to pay for our drinks, (which weren't included in the very pricey $95/person + tax & gratuity...). I found this unprofessional and pushy. Wont attend this type of service again.
We also attended the Nouvelle Maria Spa, which was surprising disappointing. I couldn't believe how out of date the spa looked, and since I couldn't get a manicure as I was told they don't offer gel services, I received a 15 minute hand massage, which I will say was definitely not 15 minutes long. Our couples massage was crammed into a tiny room that the two masseuses could barely move in.
Over all, I wouldn't recommend this hotel/spa unless you have low expectations and don't mind staff cutting corners and treating you poorly.

Really wonderful hotel. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, they are classic and full of high quality materials throughout. The staff are all amazing, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Location is excellent and the prices are very reasonable given what you're getting.

The Omni King Edward Hotel is an exquisitely luxurious experience from check-in to check-out. From the moment I entered through the front doors into the hotel's impressively decorated lobby, me and my guest were promptly greeted by friendly and professional staff. Our check-in process was smooth and efficient, as was the entirety of our short stay. The staff member at the front desk directed us to our room, which we found to be impeccably clean and generously furnished, with an unobstructed view overlooking the city. After becoming briefly acquainted with our room and its included amenities, we were then pleasantly surprised by the amount of restaurants and shopping destinations within walking distance of the hotel. Our venture to the nearby Distillery District was also easily reached via Uber.

I have not previously stayed at a venue with such incredibly professional staff, which made our experience all the more pleasant. The surprisingly spacious room, to which we were assigned, featured an extremely comfortable bed, clean bathroom, large closet with clothing hangars, plentiful storage, conveniently situated sitting area, and large windows allowing the space to overflow with natural light.

I would not hesitate to visit this particular establishment again and would expect nothing more than an extremely satisfying experience.

A Toronto classic. The King St "experiment" makes it hard to get to, but there is plenty of overpriced parking around it. Nice lobby, clean and well mantained bathrooms. Concierge service is stellar, and the lobby is really nice. Rooms are a bit outdated, but for a downtown hotel you can't go wrong

I went for Afternoon Tea. The room was gorgeous, the staff were helpful and pleasant, plus the food and tea were delicious. Bonus: we were able to take any food we were unable to eat during our stay.

Very lovely hotel, nice room, attentive staff. The free wifi for Omni members was quite slow, but did allow retrieval of emails. We stayed June, 2019 and there was construction going on next door to the hotel which woke us up one morning (the other 2 mornings we were there were on a weekend); jackhammering began about 8 am - too early for us since that was 5 am in the time zone we had flown in from. Not the Omni's fault, clearly, but be sure to ask for a room away from the construction if an 8 am wake-up call is too early.

I'd definitely go back to the King Edward. It was beautifully located near St. Lawrence market, the TCC (Toronto's subway system), and the streetcars which took us to and from Second City comedy club.

The Omni Hotels are some of the nicest I have stayed in. They are clean, classy and very well appointed. I have stayed in several of their hotels and each one is as good as the other. The location of the the King Edward Hotel, in Toronto, is fabulous. It's an easy walk to so many sites. I would highly recommend this hotel group and will definitely stay again.

My wife s penchant for holiday bookings often includes various Fairmont hotels at their high prices. We found the Omni King Edward provided the same elegance and a more competitive rate and possibly more sizeable rooms too.
I believe it to be as well located as anyone would wish, wanting to access the city centre.

This hotel has been built in 1903 and still maintained in an excellent condition. I have chosen this hotel based on the reviews made on Google and TripAdvisor. I was so lucky with my choice. The staff are very friendly and courteous. The hotel recognized my stay on day 3 and sent me a surprise, which was a basket of fruits and evian water with a nice card. The rooms are so spacious with every things that you need. The cleaners are always around and they make up my room twice a day. The hotel is located in a prime location whereby everything is accessible. Toronto Eton Center is just 10 minutes walk. The bay is on the other side, 15 minutes away if you like to walk there. Many resturants and cafes are around you, including Halal food. Parking is a bit expensive, yet manageable. I strongly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Toronto.

I have stayed at the Omni King quite a few times now for business and each time my check in is very fast and efficient. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. Each room I've had has been different from the other and have always been very clean. In the heart of Toronto, the location is perfect.

Went here for high tea with my fashion club. As always the service was impeccable. All food sensitivities were dealt with respectfully and the wait staff was extremely knowledgeable about the different teas. Of course, the food was delicious too! I come here about once a year for high tea and will continue doing so.

Very happy with my stay. Standard free wifi is amazingly slow, circa the days of DSL. And if you want better speed, you have to pay $5 extra per night. That's after charging me hundreds per night for the room. That's just petty nickle and dime stuff, but annoying. Arrival is a bit of a hassle, and doormen (except for Dave) were not the most friendly lot. Very limited place to stop in front of the hotel, though I'm not sure what they can do. Overall a very nice stay. Food outlets are very good. Rooms are clean. Most of the staff were very friendly and courteous. Will return.

The decor and style is a bit outdated. Mirrors on the wall looks ancient and spotty, there was a giant spider in the washroom. The tea, dessert and sandwiches looks too pretentious and overpriced. The experience with girls for hi-tea was only good because my friends were with me. Overall not impressed with this hotel at all.

Came here for the Chocolate afternoon tea and will say that the desserts were very dense. The sandwiches were nice and light but some with a distinct taste that some may not attest to. The hotel in itself is very beautiful and has some outstanding art pieces on display as well as a 'study' room complete with luxury designer books and interesting finds. The service at the afternoon tea was great, but had a different waiter every now and then. At the beginning they explain the procedure and hand you a menu, as they also indicate what each dish is presented before you. I would definitely come by here again but maybe try a different tea ceremony than chocolate as I'm not a big fan of sweets. There was no chocolate tea so don't let that fool you - only the desserts were chocolate.
