The King Edward Hotel Review

We put my mom & sister up here for a quick stay this past spring and I can't tell you how much I LOVE this hotel. The lobby is gorgeous, the location is perfect, and the entire staff is wonderful & helpful.

We also have a friend that recently moved into the residences & those are also beyond gorgeous since they're been recently remodelled. I definitely recommend this place if you want to stay somewhere a little more upscale than your typical chain hotel.

Beautiful lobby. The staff went above and beyond in sending complimentary cookies and milk for the kids, as well has a birthday cupcake for the birthday girl. All and all, a nice experience.

Had the brunch on Sunday and thought it was amazing! Lots of variety and everything was fresh and tasted great. Loved the shrimp and the beef Wellington!

The hotel bar in the lobby is a great place to sit down and have drinks

Great hotel with very good service, ambiance, lounge, hotel bar and room. However, my only gripe i had during my stay was the pressure of the shower, which I would consider below average.

Amazing hotel with perfect staff -friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Amazing rooms with astounding decor. Great location. Clean, and aesthetically beautiful.

My wife and I attended Afternoon Tea at the King Edward. The server was extremely knowledgeable and was very good at suggesting tea. The sandwiches and pastries were delicious and we left satiated. The staff went above and beyond for my wife, getting her a pillow for her back after seeing her slightly uncomfortable as she is pregnant. We will definitely be back!

Needs renovations I have been visiting King Edy for years and was disappointed with carpets at the entrance and luck of fresh flowers.So sorry it was such a fantastic hotel.Four Season is much better taken care of ,so sorry -alice

Great Hotel! Very comfortable, clean and most importantly, nice clean firm pillows for a great nights rest. Lot's of restaurants outside the hotel for those who are wishing to stretch their legs after a long flight or train ride. Also a Shoppers Drug Mart night next door for last minute items incase you forgot anything. We booked this hotel as it was across the street from our business meetings in the morning and was very satisfactory to our needs. Will be returning in future for meetings and business.

Under the guidance of Omni Hotels the King Edward has been vastly improved. The rooms are modern and the public spaces are well designed and comfortable. The hotel feels like it has finally retained the virtue of its age, while stepping into the modern age of hotels.

Amazing! I would give 10 starts if I could. Service was impeccable. Greeted with a smile at every turn. Hotel was spotless, clean and fresh. Without a second thought I would stay here again. Thank you for treating us like royalty.

I had the pleasure of coordinating a wedding this past weekend at the beautiful Omni King Edward Hotel. Everyone from the front desk staff to the kitchen staff and banquet managers were a pleasure to work with! Sara and Sydney from the Omni King Edward hotel were extremely helpful and I can't wait to work with them again.

The hotel is beautiful, rooms have excellent finishes though on the smaller side as Hotels go. In room HVAC system needs an update as it is very noisy (about as loud as a vacuum cleaner). One of the best bathrooms I have seen in a hotel with walkin shower, pivoting glass doors and marble tile. Bed was comfortable enough to suit a variety of tastes. Pricey for the value of the room, but overall a nice place to stay in downtown TO.

This historic Hotel has always been a Toronto favourite for me. I was very taken back that the Hotel has not been updated in over 25 years. The main floor bar is exactly the same and a pint of beer starts at $11 which is very steep. Unfortunately, the Asian restaurant in the main lobby appears to have closed long ago. I was surprised to see that the main entrance appeared to still be under construction. I use to love going to the spa here with my girlfriends because you could actually request a male masseuse in advance. Even 15 years ago the facilities really needed an update. Since Omni took over as managers I think there has been a lack of investment in the property which sort of breaks my heart. This is a shame because this was a treasured landmark in my not too distant memory.

It was terrible!! One problem after another.this is not a hotel you want to visit.

Very helpful customer service entering and exiting hotel. Hotel check in was fast. Room was top notch and the gym was well equipped. Everything was near by hotel or at hotel example bar , salon and coffee shop. Over all it was very enjoyable.

Went for High tea with my family. Beautiful place and great food.

I've stayed here once and had a drink in the bar on a separate occastion. Delightful place.

I can't say enough about how amazing the staff are at this Omni hotel and the property is just beautiful. Would not stay anywhere else in Toronto.

Best hotel stay I think I've ever had. Nothing went wrong. Except wifi not working which was comped and fixed within twenty minutes. Fabulous food. Rooms. And all around experience. My partner and I we're so relaxed after our staycation, we fell asleep like newborn puppies after returning home. Also we're upgraded to a bigger room because it was our anniversary. Fabulous fabulous all around. And the high tea will make me visit again.

Very good hotel. Clean and tidy. Friendly service with concierge. However Wifi is only free if you are part of the loyalty program.

Attended a work conference and the location, the ballroom and the food were all very good.

I visited a resident. It was very clean in the common areas and the staff at the door was pleasant

It is very convenient but the sound proof is not good, you can hear street car all day long.

Hotel was great. Staff was great. Upgraded us for our anniversary! Only reason they don't get a 5 star is the bed was not as comfortable as I expected from this Hotel.

It is a classy hotel but it was so very chilly in the reception area and conference room. I expected more from a hotel of such caliber

My stay at the Omni King Edward Hotel was very enjoyable. The staff were always on hand and very helpful. All area's of the hotel were spotless,The food and beverage selection is very good also.

Sunday brunch is delish. I have also been for high tea and it was very good too

We visited Qi Salon in the Omni King Edward. Great cut for my BF, I hear they have a great high tea in that Hotel, would love to try it one time. Maybe next staycation.

Charged my credit card without telling me until I got an alert from visa infront of the front desk. She was aloof and unhelpful.

I live not too far from the hotel so I do stop in from time to time. Well I believe the service is good it's not overly friendly. I always feel that I'm intruding as opposed to welcome. Don't get me wrong everyone is polite but that extra little something is always missing. I also have never seen the doorman waiting. He is either talking or wandering or visiting with one of his friends. He's not overly professional

Very impressive building, within walking distance of so many destinations. Comfortable room, friendly staff.

I've stayed here before and would again in a heartbeat. Great location, near to the entertainment district, financial district and many, many attractions in Toronto. This is a top star hotel and the room and service was exceptional. Not for the faint of heart on price though....it is a top end hotel in Toronto so be prepared to pay.

Very beautiful environment/scenery. The employees are very pleasant and helpful.

My boyfriend took me for tea in their tearoom and it was lovely. Diana was a great server and everything was excellent

We felt the room was rather gloomy and lacked proper lighting(only lamps no real light). The bathroom had an outdated tub shower and vanity light was broken. While awesome location, friendly staff, beautiful lobby and delicious afternoon tea; the rooms lack compared to other surrounding options.

Beautiful hotel and great service. I booked a room as part of a block of rooms for a wedding, and my only complaint is that some of the rooms were quite far apart, so logistically it was a bit challenging for the wedding party. I did request a room change to be closer to the bride (I was in the wedding party), and they accommodated me quite well.

The brunch buffet is delicious, and the it has one of the best hotel gyms I've ever been in!

Stayed two nights here with friends to attend the makeup event. Great hotel, excellent location for shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend. The staff is very friendly. Great weekend away!

Was here for a work function, upgraded to a mini suite. Great rooms and comfy beds. Stayed for 5 nights and by day 3 the breakfasts and lunches started to get repetitive but very yummy nonetheless. Had a massage at the spa which was great and reasonably priced.

As always, a fantastic stay at a fantastic hotel. Traveled for a conference and meetings with clients and could not recommend a hotel more.

Whether for business or pleasure, this hotel is perfectly located and they will take care of everything you need in a professional and efficient manner.

4 stars for the hotel itself, 3 stars for the bar, and 2 stars for the breakfast buffet. Poor service, dishes at the buffet were empty half the time, it took 20 minutes to bring cream to the table, very poor value for $30/head. Would not recommend the restaurant at all.

It's the King Eddie, expect the best and it delivers.

Stayed in a room with a city view but also partial view of the Harbour. It was beautiful! Honestly I really like being able to see the city, it really showcases the vibrance of Vancouver. I love this hotel, very considerate staff, clean rooms, and great food.

Beautiful well kept hotel in the heart of Toronto. Great location for walking & public transportation.

An older building but nice vibe nonetheless. Extremely small windows with no views. So if you're the type who wants naturally light, pass on this spot
