Went for high tea for my wife's 30th birthday. Service was excellent, and the food was perfect.
Spent 5 nights at this hotel. Travel for business 100 days a year. Stay in exceptional hotels and eat at nice restaurants.
Booked with an 3rd party, got a fantastic rate for this hotel with a good reputation. Plans changed and I was able to extend my stay online. When we wanted to stay longer tried to change once more and the service told us to call the hotel for further changes.
Called right away (was told by service manager at later date that I reached central booking, I'm unsure). I asked to EXTEND my stay and they were able to see the reservation. They explained it would be no problem to do so but to please inquire at hotel directly upon arrival.
Which I did. Yet rate was not honoured. In fact I was quoted $545 for the extra nights. Of which I could easily find online services for $404.
I explained my displeasure to front desk. They told me manager would be in touch shortly. Two days later (I booked my extra nights elsewhere already think I'm going to wait?)
He offered me 445. Again meh. I find cheaper online at the same property.
Then the fun starts. We travel for business and send multiple boxes to the hotel. Boxes we need for our next destination. Large cardboard boxes with custom foam inserts. They threw them out. They also break the worldwide rule of towels on the floor replace towels hung leave alone. They replaced towels and changed sheets. I guess enviro means something else?
The services can't find them. Remote disappeared too. Manager tried to get replacement boxes for us but we were unsure of dimentions. They did their best to help but we sent expensive equipment on to our next destination in ramshackle unprotected boxes from staples.
They left us fruit plates in our room, Keto don't eat fruit....left a second one after the first was untouched. Manager offered drinks, we don't drink.
Asked for a late checkout so I could go to next hotel, and got the standard 1pm. No extra effort.
The ONLY reason I gave this any stars is the Doormen and room service were top notch and above their rating. Funny how the often overlooked are the only redeeming quality of this stuffy living off past glory hotel.
We stay in many fine establishments and the service is what always sets them apart. Sadly this hotel would be in the bottom quarter compared to many for the 4-5 star hotels we stay at.
Avoid.
This hotel is deservingly rated 4.5 stars, I give it 5.
Very good hotel so far.
Quiet room, it's roomy and very clean.
Great facility and great people. The new ballroom is absolutely stunning. A true gem in downtown!
Always a great experience! Beautiful and clean hotel in prime location in Downtown Toronto. Highly recommend! If I could give it 6 stars, I would!
The wedding this week somehow hired some DJ to make this hotel a night club with non-stop heavy beats at 11:00 pm - imagine you spent money to stay in this hotel for a good sleep, and the non- stop distanced bangs are downstairs. Saturday is not a good place to stay.
Got a great price on this hotel. Good location. Parking on site is reasonable. Tim hortons and Starbucks just down street. Beautiful front lobby
Brunch buffet is a good start to the day. The benny's are definitely a hit

Beautiful historic hotel with a great location in Toronto. The lobby is spectacular and the rooms are fresh. Lovely bedding, comfortable beds, lovely towels and amenities. Staff service excellent. Felt like a queen for the night.
Simply the best in every way. Gorgeous surroundings, great atmosphere and exceptional service. Worth every penny!
The rooms are beautifully decorated. The bed is like sleeping on a cloud...so comfortable.
Nice lobby. Staff is helpful and attentive. Their high tea is a very lovely experience. I would definitely go back.
Beautiful hotel enjoyed my stay the room was very nice and everyone at the front desk was extremely helpful. The only con is that the my charge $15 a day for wifi which I find outrageous because it is a basic service that should be free anywhere you go. If you paying anywhere between 250-500 a night wifi should be free especially because you get wifi free almost everywhere. Besides that I had a pleasant stay and would definitely go back I love the energy. The location is pretty good but is more confident for business rather than pleasure. I went for my birthday weekend so it was about a 10-15 minute drive from the entertainment district but is right in the financial district
Was there for a luncheon and the food was exception.
I attended the King Eddy for an event. The reception and wedding Hall's we're beautiful. Large, bright, and the architecture was stunning. The room in which we had hors d'oeuvres outside the crystal ballroom is far too small for the large events the ballroom can hold.
It is the King Edward after all.... You expect the best... Not the most modern hotel but definitively lives to the reputation.. Elegance is top here
As a event designer who visits this venue regularly, I would say the catering team is wonderful.
I also recently stayed at the hotel as a guest with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Staffs at front desk and room service are very attentive.
Keep it up, The Omni King Edward Hotel!
Great hotel, nice staff, large rooms, comfortable beds. Only downside is no free breakfast, but that's to be expected of this type of hotel.
Met some colleagues for drinks to discuss business in the lounge.
It has a cozy atmosphere with nicely presented drinks and food.
This is one of the top Hotels / Residence in Toronto. Luxury welcomes you from the moment you step through the revolving doors, to the moment you retrieve your car from the valet. Elegance and prestige are combined with comfort and respect. Delightful experience
Great experience! They upgraded our room for our anniversary and sent chocolate covered strawberries to help us celebrate. Room was beautiful, clean and quiet. Bed was amazing! We will be staying here for our next big anniversary for sure.
Great breakfast. But I would suggest sitting in the lobby area rather than the actual restaurant.
The food was hotel competent. Not super special.
I went to the Omni King Edward for a professional event this year as last year. I did not specifically deal with their employees while there, but the atmosphere and cleanliness was very good. I would assume their rooms and other amenities would follow suit.
What a wonderful experience. Employees were friendly and took the time to make sure all your questions were answered.
I was also there for a conference - the rooms were comfortable and the food was amazing!
Thank you - Deanne
Great location, very clean. Very nice. Breakfast in the restaurant is great.
Attended the Toronto Life Most Influential party. Was held j the Vanity Fair Room. Lovely space.
Wow! Impeccable hotel! 5 star service and 5 star room! I hope to return and I was treated like royalty. Their gym is pretty decent for a hotel gym. It was bigger and had more equipment than most.
Good service and clean room. A bit small as it is an older building but had been updated nicely. On site restaurant was above average. Valet was fast and friendly.
Very nice venue for a company Christmas party, excellent food and great service.
I visited the residential part. It's a nice building, street parking was limited.
100% Stunning, excellent service, gorgeous hotel... tons of food and bars all around . .. the parking situation is valet only ... but who wants curb parking in Toronto? 100% will stay again... Also ... they had GREAT Wi-Fi
We had Sunday Brunch yesterday for Father's Day and it was wonderful; setting without a doubt is glorious and the food exceptional with so much choice but our agreed favourite part was "Kenny" the gent that looked after us at our table during the afternoon. Will do this more often!
Classy and confortable. Great hotel for a business trip. Does not have a pool but it has a gym and a restaurant. Location is also great.
Great rooms, awesome staff. Always a great stay. Totally recommend it. Super clean.
Helping Hands Gala was held in the Crystal Ballroom. Everything looked great. Servers came around and asked our allergies, but when I asked if the meat could be well done, was told no, it's all the same. A little ticked to hear a place like this could throw a steak on a little longer..... Hmmm
Beautiful decor, friendly and helpful service. Great hotel
This hotel is only suitable for small corporate events.
Our stay was lovely, the staff was really hospitable, starting from Genevieve who checked us in with special kindness and courtesy as it was my girlfriend's birthday, all the way to checkout. Everything was spotless, luxurious without being gaudy, and the decor was very smart and polished. A gem!
Scenes from a Sunday Morning 'Books and Brunch', hosted by Ben McNally and the folks from his Bookstore. If you have never been, this is a thoughtful way to spend a morning together with a Ben and four or five authors. Come for the eggs florentine, and stay for the new ideas. If you are interested there is an email list at the bookstore website.
The complimentary nuts they serve are amazing. Wasabi peas!!
I cannot say enough great things about the service we recieved while staying here. Miles, Miles, Miles.... She is definitely your go to person to get things done! I was a sleep deprived, new mother... who was desperately trying to plan a romantic night away for her husbands birthday. I missed room details and planned poorly. But Miles made things right! The rooms are spacious, very clean, bedding is excelent quality. Bathrooms, closets, robes are all very clean, and well kept. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that's looking for exceptional service.
Wonderful Property in the heart of Downtown Toronto. A must stay!
We were looking at the various ballrooms for potential wedding venues. The woman who was showing us around was very helpful. She was incredibly knowledgeable but also kind and accommodating. They have much to offer and the space is delightful.
The Omni King Edward Hotel has very nice upscale rooms and decor. Great service and wait staff. Good food. I would definitely keep selecting The Omni King Edward when visiting our corporate office in Toronto.
I was a function at the hotel, great rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. Very luxurious, meeting bar was tops. Staff was over the top.
We really enjoyed our stay with you. The hotel and its staff were wonderful and the hotel is ideally situated in the centre of everything. I highly recommend this hotel.
Afternoon tea was not as I expected.
Sitting an area, just like big room, limited items included, waiters gone with my coffee instead tea.
I personally don t recommend.
We had brunch with friends on a Sunday at the ballroom. What a beautiful place. The live music, the food, the staff make it a 5 star brunch. The whole staff were so friendly and kind to guests. Our server was Raja. He served us perfectly with a smile and responded to our wishes promptly. We will definitely come back.
Had a wonderful experience with the high tea service this week. Lovely selection of teas and treats!
Myself and my best friend's mom planned a high tea wedding shower here and had a great experience. All the staff were extremely accommodating. They allowed us to come in 3 hours early to set up and decorate and provided everything that we asked for. The place settings were beautiful and the food was great.
There are no words for how good the food is. Sensational experience. Worth the price, worth the calories. The food and service were truly outstanding.
Nice staff and a clean hotel. I loved their beds. So comfortable!
Great place. Great location within walking distance of a lot of the city s attractions. Close to subway/TTC if walking isn t your thing. It s also a few blocks from Union Station (10-15 minute walk), which is where the train to Pearson Airport stops and starts. The hotel itself is very nice and I found it to be very clean.
