Last Sunday at the Kimberton Inn I had one of the best entrees of all time. Giant scallops, jumbo shrimp, lump crab, potatoes, and prosciutto in a light cream sauce. It was the perfect seafood dish for me and very reasonably priced at $23. It was a special item, but I hope it becomes a regular menu item. If it were, I would go every week.

Lovely venue for special occasions. The food is absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection no matter what you order. Staff is very professional and attentive. Cocktails are made very well also.

My wife and I are lucky enough to live local to this restaurant. Whenever she asks me where I want to go for "date night", my answer is always the same. Kimberton Inn. It is by no means a "cheap" restaurant, but the food is QUALITY and the service is unmatched in the area, by a long shot.

We never feel "rushed" there. Last night we had a nice relaxing dinner for 2 on the patio (73* and no bugs) and we just enjoyed each other's company for 2 hours. No pressure to leave, not ignored by staff being outside... just a nice relaxing time.

Their bar selection is top shelf. I am a Scotch drinker and can rarely find a HIGH quality Scotch at a restaurant in this area. The first time I asked for a "peaty / smokey Scotch like Lagavulin or Laphroaig 18 or Laphroaig 10", they said, to my delight, "we have all 3... which would you like". Usually, you're LUCKY if a bar has Laphroaig 10 (the least of the 3).

They also have a Sunday Brunch (which we used to go to twice a month before we had a baby) which is a GREAT value for money. You get a 5 course meal for $25. A bit pricey for Breakfast, but if you think about the amount of food you get, it's actually a good deal.

Jeff, the owner is a great guy who does not overlook the details and isn't afraid to pick up some empty plates to keep the place moving. He's not a busboy, but he's a great owner who makes sure the experience and service are top notch. When he's not there, Jay, the maitre d, does a wonderful job taking care of us.

I can not recommend the Kimberton Inn highly enough.

Kimberton Inn is a go to for many family events. I hope to enjoy a meal and a glass of tasty wine at the newly expanded bar! I enjoy giving gift certificates from Kimberton because i know they will enjoy their visit.

Decent service and a wonderful atmosphere, however, the food is just not anywhere near worth the price. For those that have been to a real Chester County Inn, you will realize quickly the food at this place is not quite up to snuff. It is priced the same, but it is nowhere near the same quality. The service is also slightly lacking compared to other Chester County Inns. I have frequented this location throughout my entire lifetime and the food has only gone down in quality. It still has an eclectic look to the building, however, it just doesn't stand up to the rest of the Chester County Inn standards. The food item choices have seemed to have gone more and more mainstream Americana and less fine dining.

Awful experience. We were sat under a low stairwell and when my husband got up from his chair he hit his head on the stairwell really badly and was stunned. We called the manager to complaint about the chair position. He (Jeff) came out and had the nerve to tell me, I should have put my kids under that spot. He also had the nerve to say, my husband is not going to die from getting hit in the head! . He did not apologize or make any amends that they were under code violation for putting a chair under a low stairwell. That chair was not supposed to be there in the first place. He was very demeaning and tried to put the blame on me and my family (full paying customers) about his awful setup. Expected much better from a so called established restaurant. The food was also mediocre.
Jeff did not apologize, move us to another table so that it didn t happen again or make any other compensatory measures to alleviate our discomfort. He was extremely rude and nasty. Be warned.

The food and drinks are amazing here! Price is as to be expected. Plenty of parking. Come casual; with the low lighting, you can fit in and feel comfortable without getting overdone. Owner is a truly unique person, passionate about his career and restaurant!

Had our wedding reception at the Kimberton Inn on Dec. 30. Jeff was awesome to work with during the planning process. We have been VERY impressed by all of the staff here and are so grateful for such an amazing event. The food was EXCELLENT. Our guests are still raving about the Kimberton Inn and our reception there!
