The hotel was of a high standard and the room was good size and clean, good location for the beach loved the decor staff good
Excellent person the attendant Michelly. Very friendly and helpful. Good hotel! I recommend.
It was an great experience...loved it the only thing I didn't like there was no microwave in room
Beautiful Rooms, and Danella was very helpful at the front desk!!
Strategic position .... in the center of life ... car park very close very polite staff. Advice
I stayed at The Kent hotel last weekend, and so far instead of getting back to my normal life I ve been busy trying to figure out what to do with my vehicle which was damaged by The Kent hotel s valet service. Things would be much easier if only someone who could answer my questions would call me back. While my vehicle was with the hotel s valet my recently painted wheels were damaged. I tired calling the valet service who keep saying that they Can t talk right now or the hotel management who keep promising to pass this information to someone who can give me guidance with this issue. It has been 4 days and still no clarity on what to do next.
Hotel very well located. Very good service. Maybe they have to prevent hallway noise at night.
If you want a good nights sleep- DO NOT BOOK HERE. Booked a room WITHOUT being told that they will be doing construction in the morning. It literally sounds like someone is taking a jackhammer to the walls of our room. It s EXTREMELY loud and kept waking us up after we are trying to get some rest from the night before Absolutely unacceptable. I am paying for a room that i cannot even sleep in. The hotel GM said is not their policy to inform guests of construction . That s a great way to loose business and leave customers extremely unhappy. I can t even sleep in my hotel. Ridiculous.
Decent for the price! The room smelled a little odd, but it didnt last long once we got settled in. Decently clean, good location. Beds are a little hard, but overall, cant complain too much!
The Kent Hotel is a wonderful place to stay the night. The staff is friendly and you're given 20% off to dine, drink and smoke hookah at the adjoining restaurant. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, the bathroom boasts a beautiful rainfall shower with lovely stones on the bottom so you feel transported to another world in them. My one issue with the hotel is there's currently construction ongoing on a side street and you hear that pretty early in the morning. There's also know parking and so you have to pay a hefty valet fee or risk being towed for $400 like we were.
A beautiful Art Deco hotel with very helpful and friendly staff offering clean modern rooms - what more could anyone ask for on Miami Beach! We parked in pelican parking 1 block south on Collins and it was a 2 min walk to the hotel with In/Out privileges.
Nice and clean, next to the Ocean Drive and Hot Spots. good costumer service.
Wonderful place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean place to stay, and within walking distance to Soo much. Had a wonderful time and make sure you visit the sugar shack while you are there. It's within a 7 min walk and it's so worth it... Wonderful banana split.
Great location, average rooms. Old fashioned. We forgot bathing suits in closet and never heard from them. My friend was dissappointed but i figure we needed to call them. My ftiend mailed champagne and chocolates to us but they never told us. I had to ask and then never got the letter. The guy gave me champagne but never said it was from my friend. I thought it was complimentary from the hotel and he kept the bottle and said come back if i wanted more. Strange
Well attentive staff. Very simple but good hotel. 1 block from the beach, very safe place to leave any time. Many restaurants nearby. The 1 block has many buses and the beach.
The rooms are very very small, the service is terrible. When we asked for a refund after looking at the room we were denied multiple times. The rooms aren t how they look in the pictures.
Nice spot, great price for the value, can't beat the location!
The owner was nice but it was a bit pricier than first anticipated.
Great location. Friendly service. Rooms are clean and service is prompt
It was a nice hotel right on the strip in South Beach in Miami. Parking is really tough here. You are better off to valet park at your hotel and walk or rent a bike.
The WORST customer service ever. I found blood on the bed sheet I called them and they didn t even send anyone to change the bed sheet until the next day. DON T EVER STAY THERE. breakfast was super bad even the place smells so so so bad.
Ordinary. The truth is that it is not a wonder, the only good thing is that it is very well located. Against it I must say, that it seems very old, the employees are quite rare and not very friendly and that it does not have parking. The door of the room does not close well, it seems that it is very easy to force it. I'm sure there were other better options.
Perfect service. Special hands from Michelle and Leandro Buscape.
Nice place to visit and so much to do and see. There's a bar/restaurant on the main level, it's very quaint and romantic. The buffalo wings (wanted my wings HOTT but they weren't that hot /blue Hawaiian drink my favs. Day 2, I went to the bar downstairs and I was not told it was happy hour and paid full price for my three drinks. I bought a drink for my cousin and she told me it was happy hour. I asked the waitress for my change and she pulled it from her pants pocket. RIP Off. I was also charged 20.00 per day for a "resort fee." I was told this was the law. Well when my relatives got into the shuttle bus they said that the resort charged were taken off of their bill. This place is nice as far as decor but they will rip you off. They have a don't ask, don't tell policy. If you don't ask if it's happy hour they won't tell you that it is and will take full payment for a drink/tip included in payment automatically but they don't tell you that and then if you're kindhearted like me and tip, they'll take that too!
Beautiful hotel.amazing room.massive shower.loved staying here.staff helpful.
What about negativissima experience, very fair staff, miserable even cleaning the rooms at 14:00 pm even without cleaning and to shower we had to turn The hotel to see where we could take the towels, much more beautiful there in area, so absolutely avoid this sch .... forgot in 2018 in a hotel in Miami nn comes wi fi in the room 3 floor room 132 .... what a shame
We had contacted before our arrival asking if we could check in earlier and they had said if the room was ready they would have no issues. That s exactly what happened and we were appreciative of it.
Upon check in we were given complimentary water bottles one for all our party even though they have mentioned two on the paper outlining all that resort fee entails. We had a polite/interesting conversation while we were being checked with front desk. We played a game of guessing of where we were from. They offered beach towels that you to sign out for and we did use them on one of the days so that was nice given we had no beach towels of our own.
Valet business wasn t the best but i guess thats part and parcel of visiting major cities. The room is a bit tight in terms of space if you are going to be 4 people at full capacity like us its not the best living situation with suitcases an all.The room otherwise was great in terms of the bedding and how modern it looked.
The room safe was broken the front desk made a note of it when we notified them and that was it nothing was done about it while we stayed at the property which was an inconvenience for us given we had to travel with our passport and valuables at all times. I did not press onto the issue more during our stay cus we were there for a limited time and had a booked schedule so taking this up would have taken up from our activity time. I did follow up after i had returned over email and was pleased to know that the property managers are open to feedback and are willing to facilitate customers. The resort fee for both days was refunded on the account that in safe room is one of the amenities that is listed which comes under the resort fee and because it failed us during our stay.
Wifi is another thing that could be improved, the internet would not connect and would take forever. So if you have to work etc you are out of luck we were told that too many people are trying to connect but given its a hotel and you would think its always occupied that explanation did not make sense and frankly not a good look for any property.
During our stay renovations were happening the space in the lobby is tight so it almost seemed like a health and safety issue while guests were coming in and out while work was being done.
Would definitely commend them on how they handled the issue in terms of our feedback after we had left the property.
Clean hotel. Great pricing. Wonderful staff. The lady, Dani (sp?), who checked us in was probably the nicest receptionist I have ever met in a hotel. Super friendly and helpful. If I ever travel to Miami again this will be the only place I stay!
Love the Kent reasonably priced and great Location!
It is honestly the WORST and NASTIEST hotel that I have ever been, the ambiance is so scary I didn't want to leave, but at the same time I didn't want to stay. There was this guy at the door I don't know if he was a doorman or a bum but he held the door open for everyone the whole night. This was at 2 am. We went to eat and came back and HE WAS ON OUR FLOOR AND THE ELEVATOR GOT STUCK. SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE ITS REALLY NOT WORTH IT. IF I CAN GIVE 0 STARS I WILL
Great location, spacious rooms, equipped, clean and air conditioned. Staff available. My room in particular overlooks the room next to it that holds the music until late in the evening, if you think it can annoy you, keep it in mind.
All good, good service, they received purchases that I made online and they arrived before, according to the price. Comfortable room with the right and necessary. Clean and quiet
Monica at the front desk was an absolute doll. Our doorman whose name I don't know was so accomidaing and pleasantly helpful. One of our travelers was a special needs and they were all so gracious. The restaurant staff were the sweetest people ever. This place was our refuge in a very crazy Miami scene. The bathroom was a little dark. Waiting for them to get our car was a very long wait. It took an hour or more. I advise not to use their valet parking. There's a garage next door. It was the only negative thing I found. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Everything you need for the price you're paying. Shower and bathroom was very very nice. Room was just fine. The crew that works here do their job and don't make a big thing out of it, also was really moved by the fact that the doorman was deaf.
We booked this hotel last minute because our first location fell through. They were nice enough to let us leave our bags there till their check in time. Once we went into the room the room looked nice but it was very small for four people. Then we saw a cockroach on the floor we immediately notified the front desk and they said they would refund us the full deposit/ resort fee of 120 dollars once we checked out. It has been now 2 1/2 weeks and they have still not refund us the money. Even though we have called them multiple times and every time they say something different. Then to top it off when we were there room service never cleaned our room once. We had to clean it ourselves. We asked the front desk for towels and new sheets to change the beds and soap and lotion. Then we asked the front desk for a broom to sweep the floor but they would not give it us. At this point we just want our money back it should have been given to us since. The location is good but the hotel service was not.
Friendly staff and clean rooms. Basic but very reasonable. Find a parking garage up front, it can be little difficult to find one last moment.
The Kent hotel was a great experience. The shower was amazing. The rooms were clean and the service was great. The receptionist Melissa made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. All thumbs up WE NEED MORE MELISSA S IN LIFE!
I had a wonderful stay other than valet having a nasty attitude & charging my card for days I didn't valet...The worker Chris at the front desk was so respectful & helpful with a lot of things ...Chris will be the ONLY reason I would come back to stay !! & housekeeper on the 3rd floor also was nice & cleaning was perfect from her EVERYDAY..,Shout out to Chris
Originally we booked a Airbnb in downtown Miami and it was canceled on us upon arrival. We had to find another hotel and came across the Kent Hotel and Im so glad we found this place. Great hotel! Just around the corner from ocean drive. The rooms are nice and the restaurant attached to it is very delicious and had great drink prices! Michelle at the front desk was very kind and helpful. She made sure we had everything we need and made our check in very easy. Miguel also was very kind, he helped with our bags and always at the door to open when we are coming back. The hotel in its self is very beautiful and in a great location. The rooms are very nice and clean. They are going above and beyond to follow the necessary measures for COVID-19. The staff all around is pleasant and made our first time in Miami one to remember. I would defiantly book this hotel again! Thank you Kent Hotel.
Very nice hotel and well located, it has a very cozy restaurant and the people who attend it are very attentive always ... I will surely go back
Basic rooms, but great rates in an unbeatable location!
It was worth the price. Location location location. And cleanliness.
This retro south beach hotel is nice but the room I visited was very small
Very nice hotel and very good location. I appreciate very much the good attention of Miguel and Marco, always well disposed !!
Great central location, polite staff efficient valet parking
Really good location with nice updated rooms. But had some of issues with the stay... they assigned King room with disabled access when I had specifically asked for a Two Queen Room, and the bathroom would flood up while using the shower. Also there was just a single door between next room and ours, so we could hear the TV the entire night, as well as there loud fights early in the morning. Will not stay here again...
We stayed for two nights! Had a great experience at this hotel. Immediately walking in, it smelled really awesome in the lobby. The staff was helpful and we enjoyed melissa at the desk, she was funny. Our room was perfect. It was a small room but it was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable. The walls were very thin and you can hear your neighbors talking but overrall we had a great experience. The beach is literally a 2 min walk. If we come back to Miami we'll def stay here.
They gave me a huge room for me alone. Excellent attention in the front desk
The service was amazing. Monica, the guest service rep that checked us in was so helpful and very friendly! I was pleasantly surprised with the modern new upgrades in the room and bathroom. My experience far surpassed my expectations! Well Done!
Great location in Miami Beach. The staff is very nice and helpful. Our room was ok, and a good size. Unfortunately, water dripped from the ceiling in the bathroom, which could not be resolved due to the weekend. For a short stay it is at least recommended.
The Kent is a quaint hotel in downtown Miami, walking distance from the beach. The lobby has a pleasant, incense like smell. The rooms are similarly sized to a motel, 2 beds, a bathrook, but with an additional closet, and mini-fridge. The beds are both nice, and the room is clean and stylish. The bathroom is small, but very nice. The walk in shower has plenty of room, and a large rain style showerhead and enough warm water for 3 people to shower back to back. The staff has been very helpful, and the room comes with complementary, and tasty, champagne! Overall, we'll worth the cost of the stay.
I came here at last minute with my husband. Room was kinda small but nice and clean upon arrival (I thought) blankets wasnt clean had make up on them. The first night requested for new cover and sheets came back to a clean room with the same blankets and sheets not good at all. Called the front desk to complain spoke with Jonathan and he was rude about the situtation. Told me to come down and get better blankets and fix the bed to my liking really. I also had a complaint about the bathroom draining system. Took a shower and the water didn't drain, the water was flooded on the floor for about 15 20 minutes. I call front desk to inform them and he was willing to send some one but at the time my husband was taking a shower. Most of the staff we ran across are very friendly. The front lobby is clean and smells really good. House keeping sucks. Hotel is in a great location for the price im not sure if ill book her again.
I stayed at Kent June 2012, It was great for the price I paid. Comfortable, clean, good service, nice rooms for $75 a night in the heart of south beach, not bad at all compared to some that I have been to. Didn't have any problems but I wouldn't recommend aqua Hotel a big NO NO!!!
Horrific. If I could give 0 stars I would. Room on the first floor with a window that opens to the bar next door. Loud music played until 2 am, staff was then there being loud and cleaning up until 4 am and the music started again at 8 am. Earplugs and headphones were useless. I knew this hotel was cheap, so I wasn t expecting much. But honestly, sleeping in the car would have been preferable. Hotel staff also did not offer the complimentary water bottles and champagne promised at check-in. Total disaster. Run don t walk away from this place.
Michelle who was an exceptional employee gave me many tips, and ideas to do during my stay. Hotel was okay but Michelle had amazing customer service! I overall rate this 5 stars because of her
Great location, great room, and great staff. The only problems I had were the construction going on outside my window every morning and the elevator being broken one of the days I was there.
The hotel itself is pretty comfy and modern. But the management is an absolute disaster. Upon arrival (1h after check-in time) we were told they didn't know if our room was ready since the housekeeper already left. We were lucky that it was ready. Next up we had a giant cockroach in our shower. I captured it, brought it to the reception and was told the manager will contact us the next morning. The next morning we wanted to get our car out of the valet parking and i went to the reception 1h in advance (being asked to call 30-45mins ahead). One hour later the car wasn't ready because "she forgot about it". No excuses, but at least we were refunded the resort fee. Would not stay here again.
From all the reviews I read about this hotel, I didn't expect much. But honestly, I was still disappointed with what we got. My best friend and I went to Miami in early October for the Carnival down there. First we were jerked out of $20 so we could check in, we got there at about 12pm, which we told them when we made the reservation, and they said it wouldn't be a problem to check in when we arrive. So we arrived at 12pm, were told check in was at 3pm, so we could either wait or pay $20 to get checked in immediately. So decided to do that, we got the first room on the first floor, literally. It barely could hold the two double beds that were in it. The room was so small, and the one window we had faced a restaurant bar that was adjoined to the hotel, so we basically had no sunlight, sometimes we couldn't tell if it was night or day. The lighting in the room was so bad, I mean, really bad, hard to apply make up. Every time we asked for towels, they didn't have extra, but they always had beach towels in the lobby at the front desk, so we started to use those. The only good thing about our stay in this place, was that we literally we able to order food from the restaurant through our window, and we got a discount. We didn't spend much time in the room, since we were there to party and be on the beach, so we didn't care much about the room. But I don't think I would stay there again, I mean, it was almost claustrophobic in there with just me and my friend. If you need a place to just sleep, shower and change your clothes, it's okay, but if you want a comfortable room to relax in, with extra towels, go to another hotel.
Amazing staff! I booked this hotel from a third party and came in early to make a slight modification. Michelly was very understanding with me and helped resolve my concerns. Super friendly person, glad I booked this hotel.
Its a great hotel, near everything. The things I'll say it lacks is space for parking, updated vending machines, small bathroom and soundproofed walls. The hotel offers "valet parking" don't get it not worth it! We found parking near Lincoln road (parking garage ) for a cheaper price and decided to walk for 15 minutes.
I am concerned about communication with the Kent Hotel regarding an upcoming reservation I need to cancel. The phone number does not work, the hotel has not responded to an email sent via their contact means on their website. There is a flag on the search that says "temporarily closed"...
This hotel is so cute, it has a nice old feel about it, the floors are really cranky, but the rooms are huge, showers are gorgeous
Good hosting a central location in Miami brach the acojesor place and very friendly q tods work there
Great location and really nice staff, Giovanni makes the difference
Pros: the position compared to Miami's "Movida".
The size of the rooms.
Cons: the cost. Cleaning isn't always accurate. The coldness of the staff.
Very nice hotel and in a great location. Very friendly and helpful staff, in particular the very kind Monica who welcomed us and positioned us in one of the most beautiful rooms, a very kind person.
It s a nice clean hotel with friendly staff. The manager was very professional and welcoming. She said she controls other properties too and she still made time to help my friend with her needs.
I like the restaurant that s attached to it. Very convenient and has a lot of delicious dishes. The hospitality is very good. Bravo!!
Our stay started off with an issue that was due to the 3rd party booking site we used, not the hotel. Despite it not being their fault, the hotel staff went above and beyond for us and we were well compensated while all the staff were beyond polite and attentive.
Besides the issue and well done resolving it, the regular hotel experience was amazing. Upon check in we received a glass of prosecco each that you get to sip in the amazing art deco lobby. Fortunately we received ours while a tour group arrived and we got to hear some amazing history and see the art deco motifs we missed.
As for our room, it was wonderful. It was small, as was to be expected in a hotel this age. However it used it's limited space very well. The shower was a rainfall shower with great water flow. The sleeping area had excellent lighting and probably the most comfortable bed I have ever had in a hotel.
In short, next time I find myself in Miami I am booking directly with this hotel for my stay.
Awesome small boutique hotel, prime location, good staff and rooms are amazing for the price point.
Good cost-benefit ratio The rooms on the ground floor are somewhat noisy because of their proximity to the lobby.
The hotel has a great location right on Ocean Drive. Pure life takes place here and you are right in the middle! The rooms are great from A to Z. Leandro helped us with the suitcases to the room - very helpful! Michelly at the reception welcomed us warmly and answered all questions and gave us tips with patience. The car can be conveniently parked one block down on 13th Street for $ 20 a night. We have been to this hotel twice. At the beginning and end of our tour, we had 2 different rooms. The rating is for both rooms. If you like it, you will find a huge TV in the rooms and a well-functioning air conditioning system. Water was free at any time if you wanted. We would love to come back!
The bedroom was great size, had two couples bed, an ok bathroom. everything seems very clean.
I would return to stay here again. Very clean and accommodating. I would pass the word aroud!
I can say I enjoyed they stay there. You pay for what you get.
