Didn't get welcomed and ignored when looking who to speak with to get my table. Spoke to bar staff who couldn't find my booking. The girl waitressing then had my reservation and a table. Which was shared with other people. Not what the beer kitchen did previously so was unexpected and a bit squished. The girls waitressing were lovely although hard to get the attention of to order more drinks. The food was good too, we all thouroughly enjoyed. Very noisy...accoustics have changed with the stone walls. Cool place for a casual evening with friends but overall a little disappointed.

A beer house that operates a brewery directly. You can also enjoy beer from other breweries. The atmosphere is also quite good and the staff is friendly too. However, it seems to be characterized by the slightly sweet taste of beer (?) Those who enjoy lager may not fit in a little. Also, the food menu is not as excellent as the UK (?).

Pretty sterile bar that is very overpriced. There are better bars in the area but it's your choice

Bit lacking in character and atmosphere. Food menu looks decent, not a big fan of Innis & Gunn beer so this was never going to be my favourite place.

Had bookmarked this particular taproom for months and it certainly didn't disappoint. An intimate, industrial style bar with a great atmosphere, and most importantly an amazing selection of craft beer. A must visit!

Nice atmosphere. Good beer selection. Slightly upscale pubby food. But probably the most expensive pint of Innis &. Gunn in Edinburgh.

The food is fantastic! We loved everything we ordered! This restaurant has modern culinary flair! The beer is always great, order a flight to try many of Innis & Gunn's flavorful beers! Such friendly staff! Overall experience was excellent!

Incredible selection of beer, a must for any amateur of microbreweries

The food is great American fare. The beer, however, is better. We saw their beer back home before our vacation and when I learned they had a restaurant in Edinburgh, knew it was a must.

The server got one of our drinks mixed up and brought the table the wrong thing. They let us keep it for free and got the correct drink.

The staff is great yhe food as md drink is great just the overall feeling of the pub/restraunt is cozy and fun

We had an anniversary meal here last night and had a really great experience. The staff were fabulous and the food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the scotch egg, pork belly and brownie dessert. We definitely recommend this place and will certainly be going back.

Since the refurbishment this bar seems to have lost its spark. It's a bit like drinking in an airport bar, no atmosphere.

Was there for a Brew School. Great fun and informative.

Food is nice and there's a decent selection of beers. If you're there when they're cleaning the in house brewery, prepare yourself for some nostril burning smell (that's only been the case once in all my trips there. Wouldn't stop me from going again).

A pub with lively atmosphere, friendly stafd and excelent food. Not to mention the huge selection of beers. Would recommend.

Friendly service, great drinks, good food. Bear in mind there are no private tables, so only eat here if you don't mind dining with strangers.

Bad acoustics, a bit expensive, but not a bad experience. We only got drinks. Here's a little Joe and the juice-atmosphere. Hip in the unfounded way.

Trendy restaurant with a wide range of craft and parent brewery beers on tap. Would have liked to have stayed for food, maybe will do in future and up my rating as it certainly looked good

An excellent bar serving a good range of beers, lagers and ales, including the full Innis and Gunn lineup. High quality food is served in generous portions by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Both meat and vegetarian options are available. A friendly atmosphere is complemented by the retro-industrial bar area and the comfortable seating of the booths.

I visited here for a Scotch Egg.
I went in and ordered a beer (# 1) and ordered a Scotch Egg. The staff is very very friendly

Great local Scottish beer in kegs and casks sold here. They have a small cozy seating area by a fire place, and also great bar seating and food section for restaurant service. Great place for a nice strong beer or something different like a sour or infused style beer.
Great fun exploring the menu. They have great growler selection for fabulous takeaway experience. Lots of "hoptions" and very knowledgeable staff. Always leave smiling.

Lovely, lively place. Lots going on including live music. Possibly not the place for cozy tete-a-tete but definitely for a fun evening.

Poor Service. We booked a table last nigh and left after 90 minutes as the service was terrible. During this time we only had 2 drinks as we couldn't get a staff member to take our order. We repeatedly asked our server if he could take an order only to be told I'll be over shortly, the place wasn't that busy it just seemed the staff couldn't be bothered serving customers.

There's something not quite right about this place. Can't really articulate what but there is something missing. Not awful by any means, and beer is good, but...but...

Not cheap but a lovely friendly place for a drink and the music wasn't too loud so you could still chat. Great tunes too. One my favourites in Edinburgh

We attended the bar Friday 19th July 2019. Great food, great beer. However! They are consistently under-serving their half pint measures which is illegal. They originally served a half pint measure in a larger glass which had a legal half pint measurement on it. They then proceeded to serve us with half pints in a smaller glass with no measurement markers on them which when transferred to the glass with a measurement marker did not equal half a pint by quite a large margin. I challenged the staff and rather than top it up they consistently argued that I was wrong. Eventually I challenged them to pour half a pint into the glass they were serving us and then measure it against a legal marker and they said they were unwilling to waste good beer. So eventually I advised that I had come to them with a genuine honest complain and I expected it to be answered. They said they would would speak to senior management but no one arrived. Eventually the bartender said that she was not responsible but couldn t fill up our glass to the marker as requested. Absolute disgrace! I have lost all respect for his company. Admit that you at wrong and stop ripping off you customers and I will revise my review. Ian

Really nice welcome from staff, pleasant and happy, steaks were superb, beers and wines were superb too, if you get the chance download a Wowcher, 2 steaks and a side etc with a small beer and wine, fantastic value and a great place to be, vibrant, happy safe atmosphere

Mixed thought's! Can't fault the place for great service, beers and great space. But the prices for all their lovely wee special this and special that means I would never contemplate spending any time in this place because frankly the pricing is ridiculous. I am sure they have a back story about how special it all is but you can't help feel their taking the p*"s. They were all eating the blue sticks, so....etc bah sheep!

Very good vibe with a huge range of tasty beers, much like the Brewdog opposite but cheaper! Has long tables and can be a bit busy but it's a comfy place to have a few drinks.

Great beers and food, I recommend the oak conditioned Innis & Gunn on draft. Superb.

Staff very helpful but food very mediocre. Good selection of beets and spirits. I expected more from somewhere that calls itself a kitchen.
