Nice chilled out bar. If you like Innis & Gunn, this is the place to go. I recommend a pint of Gunpowder IPA, fantastic.

The beer is great, love all they do and it s local, best of Scottish, the food and service was good, we had real food, not just burgers. It looked very busy from the street but the restaurant had plenty of seats so don t be put off if going for food.

A great place to have lunch!

We went there two time during our visit in Edinburgh.
They have very good an affordable food and a good collection of local beers. The fish and chips dish was very good.

It is recommended to make a reservation, because during lunch time the restaurant is packed.

Only been for Christmas meal but food was good and reasonably priced. Drinks were reasonable.

Excellent choice of beers. A shade on the pricey side but it has a good atmosphere and serves food also. Been several times now and I haven't been disappointed yet. Thoroughly recommended.

Very nice place and brewery where you can dine and enjoy one of the 26 draft beers they produce, clean and informal and fast service.

Good standard pub grub. Interesting selection of beer and cocktails. Reasonable prices.

Popped in for a pint before the rugby, lived the atmosphere and would defo recommend, the food coming through the bar area also looked amazing. We will return and and have a meal next time.

Not sure if it's a restaurant or a pub. Not enough space or seats for it to be a pub whilst the main seating area for food creates a bit of a divide

Beer was good but unfortunately the burger I ordered was very overcooked, even burnt in places. Other members food in the party was fine so I assume just a one off for me.

I wont deny I do like an I&G lager and this is the place to consume it. Its a large friendly bar with a massive range of beers and ales, served by knowledgeable staff. Many of the tables were reserved when we arrived, but as we were only in for one drink, we sat at one knowing it would be cleared before the booked time. The food looked good, though we didn't sample any. There are many bars on Lothian Road, but this one is certainly worth a visit.

Amazing food, melt in the mouth. And the service, excellent. I have Celiac disease and the chef himself came out to go over the food options. Absolutely exceptional!! We'll be back

Wide selection of beers...too many to try in one go, but worth a try.

We visited this place shortly after moving to the area. It's not a haven for real ale drinkers and they don't particularly support cask ale judging by the proliferation of keg and lack of available cask. Also very expensive and served in 2/ pints. My advice find Cloisters just up the road.

Very good beer and knowledgeable staff. As someone born and bred in Edinburgh, and of a certain age, I can't believe how much improved Lothian Road is c.f. the'70s...
Also try the Brew Dog place down the road. Eye-opening, but maybe you had to be around in the'70s to understand?!

Great pub, cool and vibrant atmosphere. Was so drunk i shat myself at the bar. Staff were great and gave me a mop and bucket to clean up with.

Poor food at stiff prices. Machine-made chips and bearnaisse for the sirloi to Kr 300? Good serving ladies, while the headmaster did not have customer cover and was rude.

Good choice of excellent beers and an ample range of other drinks, nicely presented. Live music (good) but loud (not so good). Tables large enough for at least six - good. No delay getting served. Altogether satisfactory, and that's quite rare during Festival time.

Better steak then Kyloe and obviously fantastic beer, would recommend the boiler markers.

Not the fastest of services today, but the burger was nice. Not the best of burgers, but good.

Excellent beer. Good service. However, I was not so impressed with the food ... Got a beef steak, which should be of the finest quality and they recommended the fried medium weird. It was fried medium and not particularly tender.

Very well set up with good covid measures - felt very safe but also relaxed. The great beer is a bonus!

Nice! Good beers, good food, special surveillance for allergies ... good evening! Only downside ... the wait for the dishes!

We went on a Tuesday night, so business was a little slow, but we were still able to enjoy a cold cider and tasty fries. The atmosphere is chill and not-too-loud so that you can converse with friends. If you re going to pub-hop I would make this the starting point so that you can get a taste of authentic Scottish beer.

Staff is very friendly. Beer is amazing and food was delicious as well.

Quite a busy place. It's got live music on Fridays. The seating is big wooden tables and benches. Seeing a lot of groups and young people here. Staff are friendly.

I want to love this place but it's just OK. Yes, there is a good range of beers but it just doesn't work for me. Maybe it's the layout, but I'm not loving it...

Come for the beers! A brilliant, delicious selection and the gentleman behind the bar was an treasure trove of information guiding us through each drink. Great help. Great night!

Tables were sticky, the staff were not attentive enough. There was minimal options for gluten free diet only options were a salad or a burger patty without the bun Would not rate it at all...

To describe 10 chips with a mouthful of gravy and a finger-length of cheese as 'poutine' is generous, at best. Good beer.

Had dinner here on our last night before heading back to Canada. Best lamb I've had in the UK! Also I love the beer selection. Just noticed I can finally get Innis & Gunn in Vancouver. Chuffed to bits :)
