Excellent comfort with soft seats that can be electrically placed in a reclined position. This is the best way to enjoy a movie: in comfort and with a tray for your food. There's plenty of clearance in front of each seat so that the people in front of you do not get in the way of the screen. Once you try this theater, you'll always come back.

Went to see the movie Bumblebee and all excited until we were told the projector was not working and we could get a refund and passes and also for the concession snacks or go see another moviemovie . We chose a refund and were also given passes to see it another time. Which was nice ! We went to get a refund for our drinks and snacks and he said it would take 3 to 4 days for the refund to go through and we were almost out the door and the manager comes running up to us and took the drinks and popcorn out of our hands and said I need those back !!! Can you believe that!! I thought that was very RUDE!! You think after missing out on watching the movie we could of least had our popcorn and drinks that we had eaten and drank out of , whether we got our refund or not!!! Customer always comes first but not there!! Won't be going there anymore !!!!
An updated seating area with first class spacing. Loved being able to choose our seats, leather lazy boy throughout the theater, no rush from concession to seat.
This is the most comfortable theater I have ever been to! The seats recline all the way back, you get to choose your seating and it's at the mall so showing up early or late is no problem because you can always browse around! I watch La Llorona there and it was so scary but because of the wonderful seats, I was able to keep my date feeling safe and guarded. :)
Have always liked this theater, and I love the new pre-selected seating. The new reclining seats are awesome. If you come to this theater often, or any regal cinemas, I reccomend the app. You get points for tickets and concessions, and you can get candy and popcorn upgrades and whatnot. Good theater, but one-time, there was totally a bat loose in the theater during the movie. A bat. For real. It was during Oceans 8. We got free tickets afterwards but it was hella weird. I don't even know where it came from.
very nice remodel of the theater! The reclining chairs and swivel trays give you much more room to stretch out and enjoy your movie. The sound system had a lot of punch and I must say I left the theater very impressed! This is my new home for movies!
Great theater for the west side. In fact you really can't get any better without driving 30 minutes away to Rio Rancho or ABQ. Great restaurants near by and rarely sold out.
I've been going to this movie theater ever since I've moved here in 2008. It's a great movie theater. The staff is always friendly and courteous. The prices are ridiculous for food but it's a movie theater so I can't complain too much.
Absolutely filthy! Trays, seats and cup holders hadn't been cleaned at all. The cup holder next to my 9 year old had someone's spit out chewing tobacco in it. We had to ask to switch seats, and the manager that came by to clean said that they just didn't have enough time to clean. Super disappointed! Terrible experience
Totally enjoyed the reclining seats. Disappointed in the amount of old maids in the popcorn refill...shouldn't serve those to customers as cheap as popcorn is to make and as much as you charge for a large tub!
Seat was comfortable. Popcorn was on the seats from previous show but the worst was a huge tear in the screen. It looked like a crack or hair on the lens. Difficult to watch the movie.
We love the recliners here. It's a great place to bring a fleece blanket and sock in for a double feature! Plus there is a mall attached if you wanna grab food between flicks!
The movie was great but sitting in front row seat n having to tilt chair back was uncomfortable. Couldn't see the whole screen. Get there early next time.
I have been to the Cottonwood Mall theatre several times before, and this was the first time I ever went to see a movie that had required us to sit in assigned seats. As we got our tickets at the front entrance, Me and 2 others were given the option of having to choose from only 6 available seats in the theater. The only 3 together we're seated in the very back top of the theater, I assumed the theater was completely full, at a 1pm showing Monday. so we chose the seats and went into the movie. The theater was completely empty and only 4 people were sitting in seats, also at the top back of the theater. After waiting through the previews I decided nobody was sitting at the front and it made absolutely NO sense WHY we HAD to sit at the very back!! This is a movie theater not an airplane!! We paid for our entertainment they shouldn't have pointless assigned seats for people who ARENT EVEN OCCUPYING THE THEATER! After about 45 minutes into the film a group of 5 people came into the movie and said they were assigned seats IN THE FRONT WHERE WE WERE SITTING! So we gave up the seats we were in which WERE NEVER SHOWN AS AVAILABLE when we picked up our tickets! This was the stupidest most frustrating mistake that this theater has made, it is pointless and dumb to have assigned seating for a movie theater especially when there are numerous open seats that NOBODY is sitting in! I will never return to that movie theater again unless they fix this problem and make seats readily available LIKE THEY SHOULD BE! If I could rate a 0 start rating I would have, terrible experience.
I love this theater. It has assigned reclining seats. The popcorn is good. Some of the other snacks are really good, too. A good mix of things on the menu.
There is wheelchair accessible seating in the main aisle. I recommend this one without reservation.
Worst experience ever. Drove an hour and a half with my six years old son to watch storks. We buy our tickets 45mins in advance, stank in line for popcorn and an icee (where they of course convince me to upgrade to large on both so we can get free refills after the movie, I agree because we take it home anyway) we check in to the movie and as we are walking into our theatre another family is walking out with a 3yr old pissed and say there are no seats. Since I usually think most people overreact I decide to look. Yup NO seats. We proceed to the ticket widow where we are told there are still seats because the machine says it's 90% full, but they will give us our refund and it should be deposited in 72hrs. So the family of 3 in front of us and at least one family behind us had same problem and they make us think we are ALL crazy and didn't see the 10 extra seats they sold. Literally there was not 1 empty seat. Then we are told they will reimburse the popcorn and icee, which I think great since we won't get our refills now. We head to concession (mean while my disappointed 6yr old is slurping his icee) and ask for a refund and explain what happen. The girl says "OK I'll need the popcorn and icee back!" ......omg I was like your serious? You all jack up kids on their movie then you want me to take away his icee.. I didn't get a refund but I promise that theatre will not make another dollar off of me or my family and friends. I can't believe how they handle this expecially it being a kids movie.
Why do people choose to sit in other people's seats when they are assigned seats? Happened to me this weekend and I felt uncomfortable to ask them to move.
We went to see Storks the past weekend with our 4 year old son. Bought our tickets and our food at the concession stand, went up to the theater and there were no seats. Not one seat alone was even available. Talk about an upset 4 year old, this was our "fun" for the weekend and he had been excited to go to the movies. We went downstairs and did get a refund for the movie tickets, no apology, no trying to get our business back, which I found rather strange. Then to the concession stand to get a refund where they proceeded to take my sons Icee from him again no apology for the inconvenience. The nicest person in the entire process was the cashier at the concession stand. We do really enjoy going to Cottonwood theater just a shame that this experience left us wondering if we will return.
Our place to go to watch a movie. We enjoy the reclining seats which are big and comfortable. Snacks are pricey but we get rewards so it helps and free refills on a large soda which we get and get courtesy cups to share and usually is enough for the 4 of us sometimes we dont even get the refill
Great cinema. Convenient. Well located in Cottonwood mall. Good prices. Great selection. Clean, cool, comfortable. Friendly staff. Highly recommend. I will return. W. Lutz CPO US Navy Retired
