Was disappointed the there was minimal focus on the Innis & Gunn range of beers. For an Innis & Gunn owned flagship pub, sadley there was a lack of Innis & Gunn beers. Very disappointing. It was like going to the BMW factory and being shown a load of mini coopers!

Just had the"superfood"salad which consisted of some tinned chick peas with a little spinach and walnuts. No dressing and no flavour. When I complained about the cold chunky chips I got a replacement bowl of equally cold chunky chips. Cold chips... No excuse

I went along with some friends and colleges.
Its a very trendy beer pub, busy and very well laid out. busy.
Food was on the whole very good and well presented. But some of my freinds thought there fish a little fishy a sure sign of old stock.
Pleasent starters i had the mushrooms again good not special.
I had the flatiron medium rare. It came as a full plate more rare than medium, but it had been properly rested so no juice leakage.
All was good, the beer was excellent, well it is a innis gunn pub, the food was well presented and service was OK, pleasant but nothing special.
But, and here comes the loss of stars.

Ok we thought well it being paid by company so cant put a service charge through. We all dig into our pockets and get all our change together. Ok, it ll go straight to the staff. One of my colleges goes pays the food on the company card and hands over the collected tip.
We all get our jackets and one goes of to powder her nose.
Now remember we have paid the bill, just the tip/service charge we gave in change, and all we had and to be honest, all it was worth 10%.maybe 11% with all the bits of change.
We left.
We stood out side waiting our college, we stood, we waited we peered back in, only to find the she had been stopped by staff who were now saying parties off 8 its mandatory to pay the service charge and refusing to let her go until she paid the rest of the mandatory service charge ?
Sorry innis gunn very poor and nowhere was this mandatory statement displayed.
Allow customers to make up their own mind as to the level of service. Don t embarrass people in your attempt to place additional mandatory unlisted charges on your prices, please read the trade description act.
A good evening ruined by, what turned out to be really bad service for which we had to pay a mandatory sum to endure.

If you're looking for really good pub food and tasty beer, you've found it. Casual place, but with high quality service and attention to detail. Plus, they have tonnes of Innes & Gunn merch to buy and bottled beer to takeout. Forget the supermarkets if you want to stock your fridge!

Met up with a colleague for a bite to eat and drinks, and came to the group late. Service was poor, was not offered a drink by wait staff until food arrived even though I had been there and looking at the wait staff for 20 minutes (I don't think I should have to shout or wave). Food was OK, and beer selection was good but better places for this a stones throw away. Music was really loud and tinny, so struggled to hold a conversation, thought this was strange as most of this place is set up for meals.

Tons of beer on tap, small all day menu, a bit expensive but the food is good, decent service, it has a cosy feeling to it and it's in a great location. If it's a cold day/evening outside, make sure to sit away from the door because numerous people forget close it behind them.

Don't be fooled into thinking that only Innis & Gunn beer is sold. Thankfully, as somebody who doesn't rate I&G beer in any way, they are open minded enough to sell other ales, such as good session beers such as Jarl

Ok

Understated hub for the sampling of the beers of one of Scotland's finest breweries. As it's name suggests the Beer Kitchen focusses on the beer, with a wide range of Innes & Gunn ales available on tap and for someone who loves across the border on the South Coast of England, this is an exceptional bonus. There are also guest beers available and of course those who prefer the apple, there are ciders available on tap also. I cannot recommend this establishment high enough!

Went there first time in August 2016. Good atmosphere, great beer and gigantic burgers. Very good overall value for money.
Reviewed on 02/01/2017: still good but the burgers have dramatically downsized!

Food is ok, but service here is lacking. Staff don t seem to care or have any interest on working there (except the staff that work behind the bar). One dude in particular just walked around and did little. Based on the area, best to skip as there are plenty of other places around that are better and worth going to.

Fantastic atmosphere and food. Service was impeccable. Have never met such friendly and engaging bar staff. All staff working the afternoon/evening of december 14th were perfect hosts. Special mentions to Georgia, Fergus, Dean, Kelsey, Katie and Hennessy for taking the time to engage with their customers (especially me). Special mention for Dean for teaching some of the newer members some of the more challenging drink orders. Exemplary member of staff.
Overall rating 10/10 would definitely drunk again

A bar which started strong but slowly got a little too unorganised.

Whilst the venue looks amazing and extremely classy, the service is absolutely terrible. People waiting for 10s of minutes at the bar seemingly ignored by staff members busy trying to fulfil table orders.

Either it's table serve or it's bar, but manage both please.

Music was a little too loud for conversation and our waitress messed up getting our order in so it was a little long but everyone was friendly and the poutine was delicious. The IPA was pretty good but not super hoppy and kinda lager-y.

Great place, loved it. Food was very good and they had a nice choice of beers.
We were quite a large group and it probably surprised the service, but they did a good job placing us as close as possible.

It was a brewery I liked from the past and it was a good experience to be able to enjoy with a tap.
This brewery features oak barrels made by matured beer, oak, vanilla and a combination of complex flavors are coated. In addition to that, you can enjoy various kinds of beer in production, and you can taste other representative breweries' beer.
Ah! You can also buy beer cheaply and bring it home.

It's a weird time and Innis & Gunn have this on lock. Contact tracing, appropriately spaced tables, very nice staff and table service to match.

I felt at home ordering tasters, pints and despite there being dividers and contact tracing in effect it hammered the nail on the head of pub vibe mixed with safe environment.

Bravo etc, pints?

What a nice little brewery in the middle of Edinburgh! The food here was great and the drinks were incredible. I'd highly recommend trying a flight of their beers, surprisingly liked all of them, and definitely try their stout if you're a fan of them. On top of that, the place itself gave off a relaxed and casual vibe that was great for unwinding at the end of a long day of exploration.

So much fun! It was busy, and we didn't realize that reservations would have been a good idea, but they were able to get us in within half an hour. Food was amazing, beer was of course fabulous, and the vibe was a good one. Best night in Edinburgh!

Pretty cool place! Wine is nice and everyone else enjoyed the beer. Good for big groups of people after work, also good to sit outside and it has those outside heaters and free blankets for when it gets a bit chilly! Haven't tried the food but will be back to do so at some point. Totally recommend

Walked in here to have a good local beer. I was pleasantly surprised with good food and a friendly staff.

Space - plenty of space for large groups
Prices - regular for the area
Food - great even for bar food

Lovely room. Nice drinks. Great brunch menu. Lazy Sunday brunch here with my lovely wife. Beer pumped directly from the brewery. Funky Bloody Mary mixing bar for that Sunday lunchtime constitutional.

Lovely Innis & Gunn lager (our favourite) and served in those great glasses - snacks okay (truffle fries), a little boring. Didn't stay for dinner. Place not very cozy, better for drinking than dining!

Shocking service, one person serving at the bar and not paying any attention to who was waiting. Waited 20 minutes to get served even though the bar wasn't busy, ended up leaving without being served.
