This was by far the worst hotel experience we have ever had, and we have had some really bad ones. The first 24 plus hours we had no heat and no cable. In that time I had called the front desk and the girl I spoke with said "they are still working on it" which was her explanation every of those 4 times I had called. Finally after freezing the first night I called again and she finally sent a woman to our room with a space heater and when questioned about the cable did not understand why we didn't have any. She switched us to a room with heat and cable after a grand total of about 27 hours with no heat and no cable. Mind you in the meantime a friend was checking in and had gotten a room in the "executive" quarters for less money and she had heat and cable but they could not switch us and I could not understand her English enough to get out of her why so I just marked that up as a battle I was not going to choose. On day 3 when we were to check out at 11 we had called to The front desk to see if we could get about an hour OR SO because I was moving slow. At noon I had called again for just another hour because we were almost done but felt no need to rush seeings we could have slept outside and gotten just as much for our money for the first night BUT then the "manager" or whatever he was got onto the phone and told us we could not have any more time very very nastily. I had proceeded to explain to him about the heat and that I should report him to the Better Business Bureau and he totally started flipping out saying that I needed to get out of the room now and that I was "threatening" him, which I do intend on contacting the BBB to complain. I should have read the other reviews before we wasted our money!! If you are smart go to a much nicer one with heat and pay the same price.

We stayed at the Inn at Reading for 2 nights and had good experience. Everything was great from check-in to check-out. The staff was very courteous and go above and beyond. Our requests for extra amenities were met in no time. We stayed in a suite which had 2 beautiful bathrooms, 2 double beds, sofa bed, microwave, refrigerator etc. It was very comfortable stay with kids. The room was clean and bright. One night, we had dinner at the restaurant. The service was great and the food was tasty. We enjoyed breakfast in the mornings. It was hot and had a lot of variety - the best you would find at any hotel. We were reluctant to book this hotel but did it for the price. I am glad that it turned out to be a decent hotel. I would strongly recommend to anybody visiting Reading Area.

The Inn At Reading is, in my opinion better than any other Inn or hotel around. For starters, There's a great pool That you can get in anytime at the cost of just a drink. Oh yeah, there's a bar at the pool too. All of the staff are great people and are incredibly nice.

Attended a professional meeting for the day. Staff was attentive and for the most part, very discreet. Lunch and continental breakfast were catered by the hotel and coffee was kept full. No complaints!

Getto, TV didnt work, AC didnt work, managers kept trying tell us that we had to try and fix it ourselves. The sheets and towels were stained the walls had all kinds of dry fluids splotches, holes in the walls, patch areas not painted over.

Junkies sleeping outside all night, broken faucet, leaking tub, overgrown weeds, broken bathroom door handle. The room keys randomly just stop working. You have to get them replaced at the office. Cheap price but poorly maintained

Very big dining room, food was a bit on the expensive side but was pretty good overall. Service was a bit slow, but it seemed like there was one waitress for the entire dining room. Overall a good experience.

Awesome place!!! We went here for a vacation and were not disappointed. Great rooms, food, staff, especially in front desk they're very helpful. We went last month and it was great value for the awesome suite we got. Whether you're getting married or going on a family vacation this spot is great! the pool was awesome and mini-gym was very helpful also. We will definitely be coming back again!

An Interesting hotel. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean, though a little stuffy when we arrived. The hotel is laid out like a compound, two stories at most with multiple buildings all connected by carpeted hallways that make you think of the indoor seens in The Shining. The mattresses were springy and not very firm at all. But in spite of these quirks, the place has a certain old school charm that made for a pleaser stay. Only had breakfast at the hotel restaurant but it was good, as was the service. And there is a little bar that, once again, has a timeless quality. If you like to break from the cookie cutter chains now and then, this could be a good choice.

Not a horrible place, but was very surprised to find that the front desk didn't even realize a smoke alarm had been ALL night after a power outage and consequent fire alarm. I KNOW there were hotel employees investigating... had a horrible sleepless night...

This is the WORST place to be employed at!!! Extremely unprofessional ! I could only put up with one day ! I was left ALL ALONE on my first day with no training at all ! Nobody showed me how to work machines or where anything belonged ! I was told my pay rate was 8.00 and hour and when i got my check they only paid me 3.00 a hour which isn't allowed because i did not get tips in any way shape or form ! The women that hired me also put it in my paper work that i would make 8.00 a hour doing LAUNDRY ! I wouldn't want my worst enemy working here because it's just so UNPROFESSIONAL ! Most of Their housekeeping staff are rude !

I ve been a customer at this hotel for the past few years, however after this last experience I will no longer be! First when I arrived I was told a higher deposit then usual was required which I was apprehensive about but I allowed anyway. After I received my key, I walk into my room and it s full of dust and smells as though their was recent construction. I requested a new room and received it after a nice wait. Finally I request a 12pm checkout time which I never have a problem receiving but I was told I could only receive a 11:30 checkout at the latest. Then when I arrived at 11:30 to collect my luggage I was told I wasn t allowed in the room because I did not request a late checkout! This hotel is obviously on the decline and isn t interest in keeping loyal customers!

We walked in and the lobby was beautiful. But it smelled like urine. The woman who checked us in couldn t understand me. We arrive half an hour before check in, were told we were fine to go to the room, only to find the room hadn t been cleaned. We waited half an hour for our room cleaning to be complete, only to walk into a hot room. The AC was barely working. And everything was outdated. The bathroom was the only nice thing. We were with a hotel block and we heard many complaints from fellow guests including the groom, about rooms not being available. This hotel was $200 for two nights, it was worth MAYBE $100 for two nights. The only nice thing was the restaurant. Super upset about this hotel. I ve stayed in cheaper places that were nicer than this. Avoid avoid avoid!

Not a good place anymore. It was good when we stayed here last April. Now it's under new management and it seems to be falling apart. Our room smelled musty, the TV wasn't working properly and neither was the shower. We called the front desk for maintenance. The gentleman came and after pulling some things apart, he had to leave for parts. 3 more calls to the front desk and an hour later, the shower was finally fixed. The last straw was when we couldn't pull the drapes shut. When we checked out the following morning, the front desk person never bothered to ask how our stay was. We have to be in the area several times again over the next few months - we won't be staying here again.

Loved the hotel, came in with a group of over 30 people, and they accommodated us quickly and well. The restaurant also stayed open late for us to eat and drink after we had gotten back late.

You need to pay extra for every little amenity down to the microwave or cot, and it parents itself otherwise but it's basically a motel. For a classier experience visit the Econolodge. At least they won't charge you for the fridge or microwave. By the time you pay for all the basics here you could actually afford a good hotel.

The hotel itself was kind of old and outdated. The bathroom was nice and seemed like it was redone recently and had white granite the only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the staff was awesome super cool and on top of their game

Cheap hotel. Or should I say party spot. They really need to update the place. The beds weren't bad and the bathroom was clean. However its always nice when you can get a contact high while showering. If all else fails and you need a place to stay its cheap and gets the job done. Don't recommend taking kids there or staying more than one night.

. Horrible service! The air conditioning didn't work in the first room we got so they put us in another room where the TV didn't work so they put us in another room. The front desk had no clue on what was going on at any time.

A beautiful hotel. The rooms are clean they are very very fairly priced. The establishment is located in the center Hub of Berks County close to the mall Outlets and thousands of restaurants just about any place you want to access can be accessed from the from the Inn at Reading. Then also houses an in sight restaurant called the public house which serves delicious affordable world class meals as well as offers a variety of entertainment such as comedy shows that one can watch as they dine... There's a lot to do on site they are pet friendly which is always a plus they are prompt with room service and they are very helpful when needed they will address any new foods or concerns that you have an attempt to a remedy them immediately. Very highly recommended if you're looking for a place to stay be at a night or a month

Here's the thing the hotel smells like my great grandmas basement. My shower head didn't work and the card key to my door wouldn't work. They didn't have free Brestfest.
What I like about the hotel is that they a pool an a gym area u can workout at. The maids are nice.

I attended a conference here. I am telling you I am not feeling it. It has an old run-down Motel look on the outside and pretty similar on the inside.

It's in a great location and it doesn't seem that it would be that big a step up to make it a very competitive and marketable product. While the facility was run down, the catering was pretty darn good.

Everybody treats me good in the hotel no complaints I just want to say thank you to everyone who supported me in there especially the manager that works first shift and all the housekeeping people that they're really good with me too in the food is very excellent

Beds and linens were comfortable, with 2 pillows on each bed. Noise from other guests was pretty significant during half of the first night, but much more calm afterward. The electrical outlet between the beds appeared to be experiencing some trouble, as the clock there kept shutting off/resetting, and my cell phone was plugged in there overnight to run a white noise app, and the battery drained fully and shut down by morning. Other electrical appeared to function fine during our stay. The window didn't line up perfectly, and there was some daylight visible on the right side. The room was clean, and flooring was updated. Our family was comfortable enough, but I wouldn't give it high marks.

Good meeting facility, bathrooms need help, was with large group for meeting, buffet meal was bland, processed sliced turkey, bland rice and overcooked vegetables. Needed more servers and people to refill the line, never got coffee. Did not stay overnight.

If you are planning a wedding, do not....I repeat do not have it here. My wife & I did & we so regret it. At first things went smooth but after we needed to postpone our wedding it all went down hill. Due to the postponement we ended up overpaying & were promised by event coordinator & GM we would receive what we over paid back after wedding which was a lie. During our wedding, the event coordinator was hardly around to guide us as promised & the food was late to come out & sub-par. After the wedding my wife politely e-mailed event coordinator, GM & even 1 of the new owners regarding our promised refund & she was ignored. She finally went in to speak with management & unfortunately met the rudest owner who ridiculed, mocked & degraded her in front of our children with his trash staff laughing in the background. This is how you treat paying customers? We never even received a final bill to know what was spent & the Inn flat out refuses to do so. In my opinion the event coordinator couldn t coordinate a child s birthday party, the GM couldn t manage a fast food restaurant & the owner needs lessons in verbally abusing woman. Need I say more? Avoid this antiquated dump & get married elsewhere.
