Hudson's bay has s great selection of cheaper and more expensive apparel. Children's clothes on sale !
Decent shopping but typically pretty hit and miss. Bay days are worth the investigation for sales!
Amazing selection of suitcases. A lot of great choices
The ladies at the Elizabeth Arden counter are amazing!
It is a nice place were you can find different house bad clothes things, but it is a pretty messy pkace
If you are looking for women's clothes, this is the place. Six floors of goods. One floor of home furnishings, one floor of men's clothes and for floors of women's clothes and accessories. I remember studying about the Hudson Bay Company in school in Washington State. It's good to see the company is still going.
Not busy at all in a Friday evening. It was nice to shop around without crowds.
Great selection with a great deal when it's having a sale like this season. Just the elevator was a bit confusing to use as its direction is different on each floor.
I always liked department stores, they have a good selection of items, clothing. Household, shoes, makeup etc. All in one place!
The home department here has some decent sales at times but it's a difficult shopping experience. Really poorly signed, especially in the sun basement which seems to be under never ending refurbishment.
Always has big sales and friendly staff. Has nice brands especially in the ladies expensive floor. Men's selection on the 6th floor and at Topman is also very good. Convenient location. HBC rewards are great.
out dated decorating, lack of staffs , take a while to find simeone for questions.
All depends on your taste, it a high-end department store in downtown Vancouver
I grew up coming here, still welcoming and Relaxing
It's a go to place for shopping. This location carries pretty well everything you can get at the bay and then some.
Decent Bay, I just don't like the escalator layout, very slow to get to the men's section and the elevators are always crowded and slow.
Great seller and very good service and a pleasure doing business with.
Smells inside the doorway were so powerfully strong we felt ill after 10 minutes and had to leave. :( Too bad, I liked the Bay.
It's got an amazing selection but is insanely busy. You've been warned!
Cancelled my order without letting me know the reason or verifying for apparent security reasons.
Beautiful department store! Has all the name brands you want and is very clean as well as a great layout of the store, there were hardly any people anywhere though, I guess that makes for less irritating sales people though! It's in a great are close to so much parking, restaurants, and other shopping places!
Would be sad to ever see this great department store close. They have a bit if everything at the medium to high price point with high potential for big sales. Wish they did not demote the Christmas merchandise to the basement... The great department stores in the world never do that. Also feel their advertising to order online and do free pickup in store is misleading. The item must be available in the store for pickup in that same store - which almost never happens.
Known throughout Canada as "The Bay", this Old style department store had an appalling lack of retail sales personnel. At least at this location. Literally could not find a person to ring up sales. Very surprised!
Got my first canadian jacket from there for only $80
A staple of Canadian fashion, although it's best days seem to be well behind it. The stores are generally quiet, dated, and lack the energy of its competitors. Getting service help is challenging because they are usually understaffed...its hard to find people if you have questions or need help. The prices are the same as everywhere else although they tend to have frequent sales.
Store is amazing I love the old feel with the multiple levels of shopping.
Older than the history of Canada, dt is the biggest one. There are 6 floors. I often visit the first floor of the skincare counter. I have time to go shopping and I can find some good things.
Sara provided us excellent service at the man's shoes department.
I have had a few amazing experiences with customer associates in the Women's shoes department. They were really caring, understanding, and patient. Best customer experience ever! I will shop more often here.
This is a ghost town of what it used to be, it's usually empty and there is no one available to help me.
The product selection is pretty pitiful and there is a ton of expensive yet pretty crappy items.
Also it's not even a Canadian company any more, it's owned by an American company
Not a bad store: a mixture of high-end Saks and cheap Macy's.
Plus some unique French brands that are not offered at other stores (at least not in the US). Very attentive staff.
Needs an update. Escalators weren't working. Men's wear at the top level and range was average.
One of the few Hudson Bay locations left! Check them out and enjoy the truly Canadian shopping experience.
Nicest of all the Bay but decor out of style. Needs to get renovations done and fix the escalators.
Great section of just about anything you could want to buy, but my experience was marred by extremely rude and unhelpful staff. Probably your best one-stop-shop in downtown, but don't expect to walk out with a smile on your face. Also, a very messy layout with little signage- expect to feel like they're trying to trap you in the store.
Decent department store with a good variety of brands. Service varies, depending on the staff member you interact with but have had mostly positive experiences.
Super shopping experience with wonderful clerks!
Here are views from their parking structure - department stores are all similar!
The Bay, iconic Canadian Store. Good quality stuff!
Good quality products, great if you wait for the deals days
Good selection but horrible service. No one at the cashier and about a dozen or so people waiting. Had to go to the other side to find three staff chatting, looking bored.
One of the best bays put there. I think the only one with hight end stuff. It can be a bit of a maze I'll give that. But has decent sales most of the time.
Love this location! Always have something good to buy
Lots of stuff. Great Winer coat sale! I go every year for this.
Great range of everything. Boxing Day sale is definitely worth the wait
Watch repair fast and friendly ... if you need to know how much, you can't afford it
I ve ordered online 3 time since returning to Canada and have returned everything I ve purchased because of poor quality and high priced. Today I went into the store with $100CF Mall Gift card and they refused to accept it. So I walked right across the street and spent the money at Nordstrom s. Canadians just don t get it, there s a reason American stores do better. This is one of them.
Normally like this store, but it is hard to get help now. Seems only couple employees on each floor. If you want to keep business running, please hire more staffs.
Great department store with lots of space and items. The building itself is a heritage building and as a result is not as luxurious as say Nordstrom s in the mall but it has a much more cozy feel. 6 floors of merchandise from clothing to makeup to furniture to toys. The sales staff are friendly and ready to help, mine was able to extend a sale that no longer applied to the clothing a bought. Easy to get to as it has buses stopping right in front and skytrain station beside it.
Spotty Service - I find the customer service at this Bay very hit and miss. Some staff are very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to help you while others can be very rude and unfriendly. I guess the friendly helpful people are just naturally that way, because the Bay is not requiring their employees to do this.
Staff in the lingerie section were useless. Ignored us for ages and then when we finally got their attention they didn't help us find sizes at all, just suggested a brand. We gave up and left.
Good sales and selection is unique compared to other Bays
Horrible. As a long time customer of this store . I have never been more offended by mgt. staff like this before. Not recommended. Expect nothing from customer service in kitchenware. We spent a fortune on a kitchen set. Rubbish quality and poor customer service. Not what this once great store used to be.
Greate shopping center in Dowtown Vancouver. Lots of stuff, but most of them are very pricy.
Service is good, people will guide you withotu an issue. Selection is very good, with a lot of diffrent brands.
But again, most of them propose high-end only prices.
My first time at a business whose name goes back to the 1700s
Lovely, very upscale, and generally beyond my means.
The Bay - an icon of Canadian shopping. They've been around for decades and are one of the few remaining old-school department stores where you can get pretty much everything you need or want. They've been sprucing up the building and departments lately so things are looking more up-to-date. Staffing levels and service consistency can be variable. There are days when you can't find anyone to help, and other days, they all seem to be tripping over themselves. But I guess human nature can be difficult to control sometimes.
Great place
A bit on the pricey side though
