Really fancy but if you are rich you should go there
Expensive for shopping but the food is awesome and expensive to
Always love stopping here for a coffee or food on route to Inverness. Great store to wander round and always have nice plants.
Breath taking selection of country clothing and food .All top quality
Love the place, quality shopping experience and the Fish and Chips from the takeaway are excellent
Really liked shopping here, had some different stores than where I live locally, so found some lovely gifts and not too badly priced too. The food store had some amazing things, could have bought it all!
I can never understand how this place has become so huge and successful. It's like a theme park for gentry, and a visit is as much for the novelty value as it is for emptying your wallet.
Expensive but you pay for quality. Excellent home made cheesecake. Food superb.
In middle of nowhere and always busy. Excellent shopping, different products you won't find in every shop. Great choice in restaurant.
Overrated, too busy, too expensive. I would give 0 stars.
Lovely place and food.... Plenty nice free samples.
Lots of shops and quite accessible. Was super busy on our visit. Also quite pricey but a massive range of products.
Took longer to get to seating area than coffee stayed hot.Tepid at best...
Bruar is the best place in to stop, eat, drink and spend some quality time off the A9. Food is always good and facilities well maintained. Staff are always pleasant, professional and approachable. If only we had a Bruar on the A90 at Stracathro then my travels north would be perfect.
It's a lovely place to visit and located in a beautiful place, however it's a bit expensive.
Did not my enjoy my time, all items very expensive.
Always good for coffee stop or lunch with a wide variety to choose from and a wee but of shopping if you dare!
We were primarily there to visit the Falls of Bruar. Surprisingly for us then this department store has appeared.
Very pricey but a nice place with a variety of items for most anyone
I am shocked by some of the reviews for Bruar. It might seem expensive (although the sales room and comparisons in Edinburgh are similar) but then do not shop here. Bruar, and the Birkbecks are merely taking advantage of their enviable position on the N/S road that dominates central Scotland.
The food is tasty, generously portioned and wide-ranging, but critically, predominantly sourced from local suppliers. The staff are courteous, knowledgable and quick to respond to awkward requests. Bruar also sell clever seasonal produce year round and take real care with their window, courtyard and general displays and ideas.
And most of all, they sell everything country-related, from cartridge bags and shooting paraphernalia (budget end to top drawer), and all manner of casual and formal attire. Genuinely, they cannot be bettered for their overall proposition.
Keep up the good work.
Could spend a lot of money and time in this place, we'll worth a visit if your travelling on the A9
Very pleasant.Staff very polite.Rather expensive though.
Great place to visit staff are lovely. Plenty off choice in cafe nice seated places to sit out side great selection off thing you can buy.
We ate the best fish chips here. Otherwise, the whole thing is like an outlet store. Was not my case.
Having Purchased a Not inexpensive jumper from House of Bruar, I was disappointed to find that after only a few ( 4 or 5) wearings, it had become totally mis-shapen and covered in what they called "Bobbles". Although only two months had More
When we pass by chance, it is difficult to understand where we are. Luxury goods (and outlet) in open country. But hey, very beautiful products.
Very helpful and informative staff. Huge range of products.
This has to be the finest "local shopping center" I've ever been to. Great selection of mainly Scottish and British delicacies, spirits, fresh produce, meats, cheeses... Everything you could think of. Additionally clothing and gear (for fishing, hunting, etc.) both from their own brand as well as well known British brands at very good prices. Also furniture, housewares, etc, etc. If you come to Scotland with a truck, you could shop here everything you need to decorate an entire house including their inhabitants (Scott style, of course).
They also have a great restaurant, as well as a fish & chips and pie shop.
If you drive past it, just go there, you'll not regret it.
Good food in restaurant. But other parts of shops very expensive
From a steak pie to a cashmere sweater they have it all. If a bit pricey.
This shop has a great variety of womens and mens clothing.Lots of popular brand names available at a price. The also have a great priced sale items section. There is lots of parking spaces and a restaurant with excellent food. Really good place to stop for a browse.
Food was good and place was spotless . Rather enjoyed our visit
Thank God for class independant retailers!! . Food cafe... The Best!!!!
Very touristy and quite expensive but its a very nice place and has some great products to choose from.
Used the food court excellent service good standard of hygiene
What is not to like here. Plenty of parking and an ideal stop to break up your journey. There is something for everyone here. The eating arrangements are top quality as is the food. You can spend a considerable time here as it's vast. Top quality and something for everyone. This is a must see place to visit.
Very clean
Polite staff. Lots to choose from. Social distancing working well
Good stop off point between Perth and Inverness. Sells itself on quality which is deserved. Not the cheapest, but good value in the restaurant.
My first visit. Comprehensive selection of clothing and food set out in an attractive arrangement of buildings. Worth calling if passing on the A9.
Great place to visit with a massive range of clothing however the deli section is to die for. Good range of whisky and other drink as well. Impressive selection of fresh meat and game. Would be a very good place for tourists to visit. There is a large restaurant however we didn t eat there so can t comment on the quality.
Great. A fascinating stop on our journey north. Great food and friendly service. The shopping is something different! Well worth a visit!
Always popular, best car stop in Scotland. You can buy every kind of Scottish ware here. Highly recommended!
A fantastic set up shops resturants etc. Oh aye a fantastic chip shop.
Also there is a lovely walk that takes you up to the falls of Bruar. Take care if you do this walk its quite steep and footpath at times very close to the edge of the gorge. A lovely place to stop.
Really good place to get something to eat on a long journey but also pricey and really busy
Very fancy and richy rich... lovely place (of course)... Hmmm I would prefer a rather friendlier place where people mutually greet n smile there is a very small waterfalls nearby and I would rather skip it....
Very nice place to stop on the way down the A9...sometimes we even buy something. Lunch is tasty but pricey.
Wonderful shopping experience in what is referred to as The Harrods of Scotland. With brands such as Barbour, Dubarry, Johnstons of Elgin and many others as well as a wonderful deli and coffee shop so you can loose and gain pounds at the same time.
Whilst here you can also take a stroll to the Falls of Bruar a lovely set of water falls..
Great place for the table bodied, poor place for disabled could do much better
Lovely range of products from clothing to home furnishings to food. Great restaurant on site. We'll worth a visit.
Great spot for some high class shopping and food. Not cheap but very good quality
Very classy but don't go there when the temperature is 26+.
Great stop of for luxury food and clothes. Splash out.
A wonderful stopover Tasty, diverse, beautiful space for a little rest on the way)))
Excellent food hall, with wide range of produce. Plenty of parking. Lots of 'country style' clothing and gifts if that's your thing. Self service restaurant has good quality fare, but can be fairly chaotic at peak times e.g. between 1 and 2 on a Sunday.
Lovely place. Food is Great. Very friendly staff. Worth going
Disappointing. Web site said fish and chip shop was open drove for an hour to get there to find it was closed
Immaculate destination, excellent service and a wide range of goods
Lovely place, great choices of everything good. First class restaurant at reasonable prices. Always call in when passing. Motorhome friendly
Open again! We always stop here as the food is good. Takeaway only at the moment but the freshly made sandwich was delicious on very tasty bread. All staff wearing masks and plenty of hand sanitiser points. Seating is available outside if the weather allows.
Amazing food hall, good restaurants and superb shopping experience
The best steak pie and chicken in mushroom sauce we have ever tasted. Fab!
Quite an offering of cafeteria style food and lots of shopping. They have a strict no photography rule in place that makes it harder to enjoy as a tourist.
