Really liked shopping here, had some different stores than where I live locally, so found some lovely gifts and not too badly priced too. The food store had some amazing things, could have bought it all!

I can never understand how this place has become so huge and successful. It's like a theme park for gentry, and a visit is as much for the novelty value as it is for emptying your wallet.

Bruar is the best place in to stop, eat, drink and spend some quality time off the A9. Food is always good and facilities well maintained. Staff are always pleasant, professional and approachable. If only we had a Bruar on the A90 at Stracathro then my travels north would be perfect.

I am shocked by some of the reviews for Bruar. It might seem expensive (although the sales room and comparisons in Edinburgh are similar) but then do not shop here. Bruar, and the Birkbecks are merely taking advantage of their enviable position on the N/S road that dominates central Scotland.

The food is tasty, generously portioned and wide-ranging, but critically, predominantly sourced from local suppliers. The staff are courteous, knowledgable and quick to respond to awkward requests. Bruar also sell clever seasonal produce year round and take real care with their window, courtyard and general displays and ideas.

And most of all, they sell everything country-related, from cartridge bags and shooting paraphernalia (budget end to top drawer), and all manner of casual and formal attire. Genuinely, they cannot be bettered for their overall proposition.

Keep up the good work.

Having Purchased a Not inexpensive jumper from House of Bruar, I was disappointed to find that after only a few ( 4 or 5) wearings, it had become totally mis-shapen and covered in what they called "Bobbles". Although only two months had More

This has to be the finest "local shopping center" I've ever been to. Great selection of mainly Scottish and British delicacies, spirits, fresh produce, meats, cheeses... Everything you could think of. Additionally clothing and gear (for fishing, hunting, etc.) both from their own brand as well as well known British brands at very good prices. Also furniture, housewares, etc, etc. If you come to Scotland with a truck, you could shop here everything you need to decorate an entire house including their inhabitants (Scott style, of course).

They also have a great restaurant, as well as a fish & chips and pie shop.

If you drive past it, just go there, you'll not regret it.

You can spend a considerable time here as it's vast. Top quality and something for everyone. This is a must see place to visit.

Great place to visit with a massive range of clothing however the deli section is to die for. Good range of whisky and other drink as well. Impressive selection of fresh meat and game. Would be a very good place for tourists to visit. There is a large restaurant however we didn t eat there so can t comment on the quality.

A fantastic set up shops resturants etc. Oh aye a fantastic chip shop.
Also there is a lovely walk that takes you up to the falls of Bruar. Take care if you do this walk its quite steep and footpath at times very close to the edge of the gorge. A lovely place to stop.

Wonderful shopping experience in what is referred to as The Harrods of Scotland. With brands such as Barbour, Dubarry, Johnstons of Elgin and many others as well as a wonderful deli and coffee shop so you can loose and gain pounds at the same time.
Whilst here you can also take a stroll to the Falls of Bruar a lovely set of water falls..

Excellent food hall, with wide range of produce. Plenty of parking. Lots of 'country style' clothing and gifts if that's your thing. Self service restaurant has good quality fare, but can be fairly chaotic at peak times e.g. between 1 and 2 on a Sunday.

Open again! We always stop here as the food is good. Takeaway only at the moment but the freshly made sandwich was delicious on very tasty bread. All staff wearing masks and plenty of hand sanitiser points. Seating is available outside if the weather allows.
