The rooftop bar and pool are pretty great, especially in the summer. The rooms are sparse but comfortable. Definitely recommend for the price in the area. Also just outside or the craziness of South Beach, but still close enough for you to enjoy the night life!

AC stinks and foul tasting pool.
Hotel is fine on all the usual parameters. However, two major deal-breakers.
1) The AC is infused with a powerful stench of airfresher which is beyond anything I have ever come across. Highly head-ache inducing for anyone prone for such.
2) The Pool water has a faul taste of soap that makes any contact with your mouth an immediate displeasure. My son refused to use the pool and when i tried it I had to agree that it was a terrible experience.

We did not stay at The Hotel, but we stopped into the restaurant/bar for a drink on superbowl Sunday and my husband and I are so glad we did! Obe Santos was hands down the best server/bartender we have had in years! Next visit to south beach we will be staying at the hotel and eating in the restaurant for sure. Obe knows what customer service is all about and we hope to visit again soon!

Great check-in staff! The stay was delightful. We greatly appreciated the beach chairs and towels that were complimentary and right on the beach! It was too hot most of the time on the roof-top, but, the frozen drinks helped. :-)

Near Ocean Drive but without the noise. Very clean room. Nice bathroom. Food is good. Next to all the good shopping stores (H&M, Armani Exchange etc.)

First, they had my reservation for December instead of March. That was corrected and I was able to get a room. I was happy about that. All the elevators were broken so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs by yourself. That s not even the worst part though. A hotel employee came into my room and stole my sunglasses!
Self-parking is at a garage down the street. So, my friend went to get the car and I was waiting for her to return so I could bring her bags downstairs. As she called to say that she was downstairs there was a knock at my door. I opened the door, bags in hand, to an older gentlemen with a clipboard who asked if I was checking out. I told him no 3x. I left my sunglasses in the middle of the bed as I ran my friends luggage down to her. Upon returning, the glasses were no where to be found. Of course the hotel has informed me they are not in the lost and found. OBVIOUSLY, since they were never lost! Now, I m out a pair of designer shades and I have no way to prove anything. Stay somewhere else or keep your stuff locked up at ALL times when you re not in your room.

I gave this hotel 4 stars based primarily on the great location, friendliness of the staff, and the ease of check in. As for the property itself, book this location depending on your primary reason for staying.

The online photos look absolutely stunning, but once you get to the property, you immediately feel swindled. The hotel is slightly dated and the cleanliness of the rooms are not white glove friendly. Additionally, if you have a late arrival most of the on site amminities (pool/restaurant) will be closed. ***MOST IMPORTANTLY, be aware that if you book through a third-party site and not directly through the property you will not receive the complimentary breakfast. YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY***

Ultimately, If you are just passing through for one night to prepare for a cruise or just want to get some rest, definitely choose a different property. As stated in many other reviews, the walls are paper-thin and you can clearly hear a regular conversation. Contrarily, if you're looking for a place conveniently located to South Beach( literally a block our so away) and you're looking to party for the weekend or few days this may be a good selection for you.

This hotel is great. The location is wonderful. The price is wonderful. The staff is wonderful. My favorite is the heated pool with jacuzzi jets inside. Cabana rooftop pool is always a plus in Miami. The hotel is beautifully decorated. With this being said I hate to give it 3 stars and I will never stay here again because of the BED. All the extra amenities are cool, but the purpose of the hotel is for me to sleep well. The bed was so uncomfortable, it was very hard. Everything was so perfect but the bed. I wouldn t stay here again, because I need a comfortable bed every night of my stay. If you want something close and nice this is a great choice.

Amazing absolutely wonderful, Awesome customer service

The bathroom had hair all over the floor and shower and when we asked them to change the sheets they just flipped them over. The over hotel was great but the housekeeping department needs work.

Noicy.. All thru the night.. Can not get any sleep.. Too many drunk loud ppl ..in the morning there was a loud none stop banging! U can also hear the ppl walking / being loud upstairs in the middle of the night . The worst hotel I stayed at!

Nice & clean. Beautiful outside dinning area. Nice rooftop pool & bar. Great location. One of the staff members David was the best, a ball of fun.

In general it is nice to stay in this hotel, close to the beach front and lots of activities. Nice staff, great hospitality but the hotel is a bit rusty and outdated.

Let me start off by saying the staff were friendly and professional. The reason why I am taking the time to write a review is to let everyone know that there are BEDBUGS in that place. Although it appears clean, they really need to do something about these nasty bugs. Beside paying for my stay, now I had to hire an exterminator to get rid of the BEDBUGS I brought home!!! Never in my life have I had any type of bugs in my house!!!! DO NOT GO THERE! Unless you want to deal with exterminating your entire house!!!

The good: Close to the beach with reserved chairs and tables. Awesome art deco neighborhood. Friendly staff. Swanky style. Not very expensive. The bad: Thumping bass penetrated my 2nd floor room until late. Couldn't operate curtain. TV had weird lip syncing problem. Overall: Decent hotel with some annoyances. Other rooms may be better than mine.

The staff is phenomenal. The location is perfect. My only problem is the hotel is a little dated. The carpet is worn and old. Feels like the 70s. If you can get past that, 5 stars

I'd go back just for the welcome cookie. So good. The employees were so helpful and friendly. Twas a great stay for a great price.

Cute little '40 hotel, had a good time at the rooftop pool, with nice view of the ocean.
First of all the hotel smells very good, even walking by it, employees are very kind and helpful, good tips on where to hang out or eat well.
Rooms are comfy, with that 1940 vibe, all you need for a getaway.
I was there in. November so it wasn.t loud, although is a block away from ocean drive.
Good times. Will come back

Courteous and nice staff, intersannt furnished and neat room. Class pool with bar and many lying on the roof invite you to sunbathe and relax. Only a few meters from the beach, but far enough to find peace at night.

Manager Sharon was awesome and made our Christmas vacation amazing. We really enjoyed the top pool bar, and great location around the beach, Wet Willies, Mangos, Voodoo Lounge and other locations. This was one of our favorite trips to Miami and we'd gladly stay at the property again. Thank you for the free daily towels and beach chairs!!! One recommendation would be to open up the pool bar next to the Tiffany's side of the rooftop. Its an amazing space for a potential dj and party atmosphere. Very similar to the set up at The Gale Hotel.

Great location with welcoming lobby. Nice bar with outdoor seating and decent menu and good specials for guests. Room and bathroom were spacious, but bathroom wasnt the cleanest. Well stocked mini bar. Noise from road was a bit loud early in the morning and the elevator didnt work so we had to bring out luggage down from the 3rd floor (we didnt even think to call for bellman)

This hotel was very disappointed, the service was not up to my expectations for an exorbitant price. Often the prices are not indicated on the menus so it is quickly thought that it has two prices tourists and local people.

Needs some major updates to rooms and decor. Great location, staff friendly. Good they have free airport shuttle and daily FREE happy hour. Some of their other hotels are nicer like Chelsea Hotel.

Conveniently located around the corner of ocean drive near all the restaurants and bars.
Pro: rooms are very clean with hardwood floors; the rooftop is gorgeous with a small bar and pool and great view of the ocean.
Con:rooms are small

It was loud! Music was being played super loud till past 12am!! Do not recommend staying if you're looking for a good night's sleep, it's over priced to, and not even worth the hype

The Art Deco style hotel is in a very good location in South Beach. 50 meters to the beach or Ocean Drive, supermarkets in the immediate vicinity and parking only costs 19 dollars a night, which is a real bargain! The rooms are very fashionably designed, but could let in a little more light and block loud noises from the street. Breakfast is ok from 10 dollars.

A little warning: do not book during spring breaks. Then you are mostly just stuck in traffic and can hardly get through to the hotel.

Room are nice and clean, but house cleaning didn't replenished towel, toilet paper, or pick up dirty wine glass. David was amazing, friendly and very helpful, he gave us good place to eat out, and direction for every place we wanted to go. I liked the free chairs at the beach, but downfall we had to pay for umbrellas which I think i should been included too. Hotel was a walking distance to beach, restaurants or stores or can take free trolley whitch was great no car needed.

The hotel is a little hidden gem. My room was very clean. The hotel staff other than the rude security guard on my last night, was overall very pleasant and helpful. I rated the hotel 3 stars because it could stand to update some of the decor and the lighting in the building in the rear was suspect. I felt like when I walked to my room, the orange/red lighting in the hallways was not a feature to make a guest feel safe. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay. I would visit again.

Good for emergency connecting flights, near of airport.

Absolutely awful. They advertise their hotel and then overbook it and shove your down the street to a nearby property without pool or food. Don t get fooled thinking you re staying in the beautiful hotel with all the pictures you see, you ll be shoveled off down the road to a lesser property and won t find out until you land. I checked in at the desk, they took my credit card and only after they had their money did they tell us we re staying down the street. SKETCHY SKETCHY SKETCHY BEWARE!!!!!!!

This hotel gave me such a bad experience! First of all, they gave me a late check in. I arrived early to the hotel because of my early flight and tried to check in early and they made me wait until 3pm to check in. The room wasn t ready until 3:40pm- wasted half of my first day in Miami. Then, the hotel room keys for me & my roommate kept deactivating every single time cause they said I couldn t put them near my phone or my credit cards. They did not inform me about this when I checked in first hand, which was wrong on their part! My friends staying at the same hotel never had any problems with their keys even though they too had their keys in their wallets. Also, for parking, we were designated to park in a public parking garage which was very inconvenient because one day we couldn t even find parking because it was so crowded. If they are going to use that garage for their guests, they should have designated parking spots for us! It was inconvenient and a waste of our time trying to hassle through the traffic in and out of the garage- one night it was took us 30 mins to get out of there because of the back up of cars, because the traffic wasn t handled properly by staff. Every time I spoke to the front desk, they only apologized and never created a solution. On my last day, I got locked out of my room again, they offered a voucher for 2 free drinks. Gave it right back to them, didn t accommodate anything for me! They will not give me any sort of refund! Will never come back.

I loved the hotel. Great location for those who want to be in the middle of action. The service there is excellent. Clean rooms. Great food and drinks, but a little pricey but that's expected. There's a pool on the roof with a lounge area

Beautiful hotel did not like the fact that everything has a 18% gratuity even the water and the hotel is really small and the food was just ok but the empanadas were great and it was in a great location around the corner from ocean drive 5 sec walk to the beach

Typical environment small and dark rooms to be avoided absolutely ground floor the noise is unbearable.

The room was amazing! Very clean and every day housekeeping refilled the coffee supplies. Pool was a bit small but besides that the view was great. Staff were very helpful. Recommend it, would come back.

Large rooms with large bathroom. Rooftop pool with great bar. The pool is a bit too small if you really want to swim. The check-in will assist with luggage and parking. Parking costs $ 19 per day.

It's an okay hotel. Very centrally located for restaurants, shopping and so on.
It is clear that it is a hotel in an area with many guests / tourists. The hotel is expensive compared to the standard compared to other hotels in this price range.
There is a small pool on the roof. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

The customer service received was off putting. Zero concern for your issues. Promises of management calling you back to resolve an issue, and there was no phone call. A response to why my card may have been charged was: maybe a friend of yours used your card, that happens a lot SMH. Wrote a detailed email the following day to address my concerns, seeing as though there was zero follow up & finally received a phone call-the young lady was pleasant on the phone, but the issue is still not resolved. Was so exhausted from explaining the issue, I just folded.. My initial interaction with the young lady at the desk : she seemed to understand, but wanted a manager to break it down bc it became a little confusing. It just seemed like nobody really wanted to dive into the issue and figure it out. They resorted to what the surface answer was.. which was why, I raised concern in the first place. SMH. Will not be a choice to stay in the future. Thanks to those that tried to help.

Excellent room with view of ocean . Staff bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. Good bed. Could use better tv channels, but we never turned it on. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

The hotel is located in a point of quite nightlife, a few steps from the sea and surrounded by commerce everywhere. On the fourth floor there is a swimming pool accompanied by a small bar in one of its corners.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Don't hesitate to ask them questions they are more then happy to help you and tell you where to go and where not to. I really enjoyed my stay there.It is clean and close to the beach. I will definitely go back to this hotel.
