Great central location close to French Quarter sights and sounds. Easy access to public transport and the streetcar. Hotel is slightly older looking, not exactly outdated but just a little worn. Still enjoyed the decor and style. Did not try food but the restaurants were packed the entire time I was there. Happy hour 3pm-6pm

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were always friendly, professional and attentive. Our king room with balcony was nice and roomy. The location couldn t have been better. We walked everywhere and took the streetcar to the Garden District. Streetcar picks up right in front of hotel. Hotel feels safe, as you need to scan your room card just to use the elevator. Pool was tiny. Rooms weren t dirty but could of used a good vacuuming and dusting but bedding and bathroom were clean. We d stay there again.

This hotel was so nice, and I loved that you needed your room key to operate the elevators, we had the breakfast delivery and the chef was so sweet and literally didn't want us to lift one unnecessary finger at all, I've never had service that amazing before, I'm so sorry I didn't get her name, she even called a few moments later and double checked that we had everything we needed and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the food. I'm wishing I got to explore the place just a little bit more. This hotel played an important role in an amazing roadtrip getaway with my loved one! Thank you guys so much!

The best hotel I ever stayed in. Great room with the balcony. I could see the parade and enjoy the guests in the balcony adjacent to me. The main restaurant downstairs had some really great food, and Andy-gator beer from the Abita brewery.

Went to brunch on Sunday at Trenasse and was very impressed. Great service, $10 bottomless mimosas, and great food. The shrimp and grits were fantastic. I will be dining there again, and highly recommend it.

Great place to stay. Close to several area attractions. Very easy on/off rides on the St Charles Street Trolley. Easy walking distance to most shops, restaurants, bars, & other hotspots. Friendly and attentive staff. Great restaurant downstairs in the lobby. Rated on several eating guides. Pool is outdoors on the roof and is a refreshing way to cool down.

The location is very convenient and the staff was all very nice. The rooms were clean and nicely designed and our room had a huge balcony with chairs. The only downside to us was $42 for over night parking. That seems totally insane considering there's $10 over night parking down the street.

The rooms still have mini refrigerators but they charge you if you put your own items in them. The rooms are also full of candy and cookies sitting on pressure pads that charge you if the kids move it.

A very busy lively hotel right down town. Great location. Wonderful polite southern service and great friendly staff. Room was beautiful and big. I have stayed here before and was glad to be back. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and I managed to stay nearly 2 hours, it's that good. Highly recommend

I flew into Dallas on American and was stuck at the airport for 24 hour (due to the airport and airlines inefficiencies and obvious lack of planning). I was stressed out and called Intercontinental to let them know I would not be checking in. Brett answered the phone, as I told him what happened he was truly empathetic to my situation (I was very refreshing in my moment of stress). Brett went above and beyond canceling my room for the night and telling me not to worry that once I go to the hotel I would be taken care of, and I was! From the moment I walked through those doors the customer service was five start! The rest of my peers arrived two days later, they also ended up getting in later than planned and Brooklyn took care of them, meeting their needs before they new what they were! We also had Sam who made sure to check on us during our stay as well! This team wrote the book on southern hospitality, the level of quality they brought will have us visiting the Intercontinental again! Sincerest appreciation Brett, Brooklyn and Sam!

Really enjoyed the experience and staff were great. Only ate at the hotel for breakfast and it was really good. The location is perfect we were able to walk to a Pelican's and Saints stadiums from the hotel.

Great!

Staff was friendly but the room was downright disgusting. Used contact lenses were left out on the table, the carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a very long time, and the glasses and mugs had dirt, not dust, in them. How does that even happen? Also, the hot water was cloudy/milky white with a noticeable granular residue which was gross. Throw in the typical $9 bottle of Fiji water with no microwave or mini fridge that goes with higher end hotels and you're looking at a disappointing stay. I would recommend Holiday Inn over this place every time.

Can't say much about the stay here, but was here for a regional conference. Had an oversized vehicle with a group and was never denied parking service. Staff was prompt and attentive. The facilities are beautiful.

The staff and accommodations are way above what I could ever expect. I have stayed in my fair share of hotels over the years and I must say that hotel is sitting at #1 on my list right now. The room is adequately stocked with towels , wash clothes and face towels. The robe is an added bonus and the staff are there to answer any and all of my questions and everyone is so friendly and polite.

This hotel is within walking distance to some really great places. The rooms were large, clean, spacious and very nice. My sister went on the trip with us and she told people she felt like "Pretty Woman" when she walked through the hotel lobby. The staff were exceptionally nice and had great suggestions about things to see in the area. If you stay here, you have to walk up to the corner of St. Charles and Canal street at night and listen to the guys playing on the corner. They are outstanding. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was nice. Not quite what I thought but definitely nice. I wish the pool area was a little better. It didn t have real steps to get into the pool and it was small. However I did like that it was rooftop. Customer service was excellent. There was an option to text the front desk for everything you needed. They responded within 5 minutes each text and that was very nice! The hotel was clean but there was so much construction going on around the hotel and that was quite a distraction, loud and made it a little dusty. The food wasn t really authentic Louisiana food, but they tried. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel. In a great location. Check in was quick and easy. Rooms are nice however I must say avoid room 1150 and probably any room ending in 50. While the hotel is completely surrounded by taller buildings and has absolutely no view to speak of 1150's window looks directly onto the room next door's balcony. And the only view to outside is through that balcony. It's an extremely weird layout and was probably designed to be part of a larger suite or a service area. The room has no natural light. Even opening the curtains and leaving the shears closed would provide no privacy because the balcony allows access directly to 1150's window. I like to have a little natural light especially in the morning. The room other than that was nice. The bed was very comfortable bathroom area large and well lit. The shower had a nice rain style shower head with a connected hand held sprayer although no one in our group could figure out how to actually turn it on. The hotel's location is very good only being 2 blocks from Canal street and then another block to Bourbon Street. It's also on the streetcar line. The area is very walk able even at night. I never felt even the slightest bit unsafe in the area and we did a few late nights. I would not recommend it alone personally but it would probably not be an issue. The food in the hotel was very good and very well presented. We only ate at the convention provided food functions, I did not eat in the hotels restaurant but I will say the smells were incredible. The biggest negative about the hotel is elevators. With 4 smaller sized elevators waits were sometimes long and occasionally VERY long. Overall though I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for whatever reason your in New Orleans. It was very comfortable for both business or a vacation and the location in the Central Business District next to Canal was unbeatable. And would absolutely check it out again when I return.

Attended a meeting at the intercontinental new orleans. The hotel was very nice and and decorated for the holidays. The meeting room was an odd shape (very long and not wide) but worked out just fine. FYI the hotel as hourly and overnight valet available

Terrible. The rooms are great. Bad management. I was given a key to a room already occupied. And my room has been barged in by people with a key to my room. Ive been here 24hrs and people have come to my door at least 15 times. From guests to maintenance. I will never stay here again. I do not recommend it. Unless you dont mind other people walking in to your room.

Friendly and informative staff. Received many excellent recommendations for a variety of restaurants, bars, tours, museums and live music. The restaurants and bars within the hotel are very nice as well. Rooms, pool, gym, etc are all clean and well maintained.

Good location for walking to Bourbon St, Canal St, and French Quarter, etc., but the surrounding is not ideal. Half of the rooms facing southwest side have balcony, but all that give you is the taller office building next door about 30 feet away. The swimming pool is at the top floor which the sun was blocked by the other tall building around, water was very cold.
Service is friendly.
