Currently sitting in the lobby waiting for my room. Check-in time is 3pm and it is now 3:30. Front deck simply said sorry it is not ready and it should be ready soon. So much for the "top-notch" service!

Update: Finally got my room at 3:35. Manager told me this is normal at all intercontinental locations because of 100% occupancy the night before. This seriously makes me questioning the brand. Oh yes, got a breakfast voucher after my compliant.

Check in was smooth and hassle free. The room didn't smell humid or thick. It was a clean room on the fifth floor. The location of the hotel was amazing. Close to pretty much all of the main New Orleans attractions, including the Superdome and bourbon st. Thankfully the weather was great and the bed was so soft. Everytime I returned to the room it was freshened and little waters/chocolates were laid out! This hotel really pulled out all the stops for our stay

Located in the CBD/Warehouse district, but in walking distance of the French Quarter. Right across the street, is the restaurant Luke, and there is also a stop for the St. Charles Streetcar line, which can get you to the Garden District easily. The hotel and staff are great and has all the amenities we we're looking for in New Orleans.

Our stay was quiet. The room was decent but could definitely have more attention to detail on the cleaning (hairs from previous guests smeared in several spots on bathroom floor and throughout carpeting in main room/on bed comforter) I stayed at another Intercontinental location and it was much more modern and impressive. This one isn't terrible, but could definitely be better.

Nothing to complain about! Nice clean room, comfortable beds, good sized bathroom. The safe have been kind and it s been a great trip. Good location with easy public parking too ($25 a night)

Nice large hotel for business and conferences. This is more on the scale of a Crowne Plaza then a Intercontinental in the IHG brand. The conference space is nice and the staff are professional.

To me a room is mostly a room, it's the staff that make a hotel stand out. Everyone was friendly and willing to help out when the airline lost our luggage. The hotel staff let us know it had arrived before the airline did! Rooms clean and modern. Will definitely use this hotel in the future.

I was at an event at the intercontinental and mistakingly left my umbrella. The staff, Ms. Bianca Bonilla, Huey Harrison and Lee Stelly were great in finding and arranged for me to retrieve it. A+ service.

Very nice place to stay. The room was very accommodating and the bed was comfortable. The Staff were always Polite and Professional. This hotel is within Walking distance of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter of New Orleans. Also, there is a Parking Garage on the backside of this hotel. We parked our vehicle there instead of using the Valet Service provided by the hotel. Access to the Parking Garage is just off of the hotel lobby. We will Definitely stay at the InterContinental hotel during our next trip to New Orleans.7

Four-star hotel located in the Central Business Di...

Four-star hotel located in the Central Business District of New Orleans. Close enough to the French Quarter to walk, but enough distance to be away from the "commotion" of the French Quarter. Valet Parking Only. Breakfast buffet available for purchase. Good gym on top (15th) floor, very tiny and not very scenic pool. Room was a good size, but in need of a refresh. Dirty walls, old bath tub, electrical cords visible, carpet needed cleaning. Large safe and larger than expected closet. Had problems with the wifi despite being at Ambassador status. On first night, was welcomed with a fruit plate, a bottle of red wine ($6 retail), a bottle of Fiji water, and a very good chocolate snack. Housekeeping did not restock coffee-pods or water bottles. Fridge in room is pre-stocked and equipped with sensors for purchase, so you are unable to use it for any cold-storage. Room did not insulate noise very well from hallway, room next door (adjacent pass-through door), or from outside cars. Breakfast buffet satisfactory, included fresh fruits, breads, pancakes, waffles, and omelets. Front desk, bartenders, and restaurant staff were excellent and quite honestly made up for some shortcomings of the hotel. Spoke to Brett (manager), very pleasant. Can recommend. Additional note: restaurants and bars in the Central Business District are better and/or cheaper than anything I found in the French Quarter. If you're hungry, go in the other direction.

Nicely kept. The rooms are inconsistent with set up and I have asked mngmnt to fix that. Do not touch the snacks on top or open the fridge. They have sensors and any movement causes the sensor to charge your room. Ask about getting the NY times paper if you want it. Short walk to the French Quarter.

Comfortable, clean, a little dated, but nice enough. My only complaint is that our room's only window looked out on to the balcony of the room next to ours, so we could never open the curtains. Oh and the valet situation was a hot mess, but that is becoming a pretty common occurrence at Nola hotels, in my experience. We self parked around the corner for $30. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room was OK. The staff was friendly but kind of uninformed. They tried to say that check out from the hotel and vallet were at the same time when the valley ticket clearly said that the car didn't have to be out until 4 and check out was at 12. This is significant because the hotel is within walking distance to the French quarter and parking there can be a nightmare/expensive.

Nice hotel situated conveniently near the French Quarter but not too close as to be infringed upon. Rooms of an excellent standard and service very quick with friendly staff members. Pool on the roof was much smaller than the pictures lead you to believe, but we weren't in New Orleans to go swimming anyway.

It's not the best intercontinental you'll ever stay in. The staff is nice but the property is just blah. No lounge. Gym/weight equipment could use an update. Breakfast buffet is nothing to write home about.

Rude and incompetent staff. Dirty room!
Hair in shower and bed. They did not even attempt to clean my room today. Attitude from front desk and supervisor when I asked why my room wasn t cleaned and have now been waiting 45 minutes and still no one at my room to clean it.

It's your basic corporate hotel. It was part of a package deal so we weren't disappointed too much. However, a couple of cold stale croissants for breakfast with coffee? $18 outrageous.

Front desk was super helpful. Water in room smelled a bit of sulfur. Pool doesn't have steps. Nice clean room, good access to ports on TV. Good location, can walk to French quarter in about 15 minutes.

Nice accommodations overall. Good customer service upon check-in and elsewhere in the hotel. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is room service failed to leave clean coffee cups both days they cleaned the room, and no coffee is available in lobby in mornings before 6:30am. Not that I get up that early on a regular basis, but when catching the early shuttle to the airport, it would be nice to have coffee available for guests in lobby. That would be a relatively cheap perk for this size hotel to provide at no cost to guests. In fact, I think that's fairly common at major hotels.

The absolute worst place to book. We had our room booked for 3 weeks prior to our trip for new years & the sugar bowl. We got a great rate but the hotel cancelled our room the day we arrived. We showed up valet our car walked inside to no accommodations. No explanation & no call or email. The staff was very rude & un apologetic. That left us scrambling to find a room. We ended up finding a place @ Copland Towers 6 miles out. 7 other people had that happen that checked in with us. I do not recommend the international to anyone. I give it a -100 rating!

Great hotel and great service, but it does need a renovation/update to modernize it a bit! Update: I would give them 4.5 stars - the extra .5 is for the attentiveness and the relaxing rooftop pool. :)

It appears that it was a nice hotel before the refugees were bused in. I'm sure it will return to such upon their departure. It's a sad commentary that the hotel has to hire armed security guards.

The staff were attentive and courteous. Location is great. Room was clean and updated. Only wish the bed was softer. I didn't sleep so well, but that's a personal preference. Really enjoyed our stay and it's definitely a great value. Wouldn't mind coming back but will ask if they have softer beds next time.

Outstanding hospitality in a great location. Spacious and modern rooms and furnishings. I really enjoyed the available activities in the hotel on the ground floor.
My only negative was the lack of an in-room microwave and refrigerator!
I'm planning to stay there again ASAP!

WELL I HAVE PROOF OF MY SHOES (receipt ) and I don t have them with me! Your house keeping stole my shoes bottom line! To have your things took from you and not returned is not good service! My daughter and I have no money to replace our shoes! I just wanted my shoes back no money nothing! Just my shoes! This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed!

Enjoyed the central location of this hotel in New Orleans. Most things you would want to go to is close by in any direction. Bourbon street is close if you want to party, but not too close to where you have to deal with the noise and commotion in front of your hotel. Casino and aquarium is close, tons of restaurants and stores are also easily accessible. The hotel is clean and the room was set up nicely. Desk staff was friendly and was able to answer questions, valet service was also very professional and polite. Having to use a key card for the elevator is good to prevent non-guests from being able to come in and wander. Only problem I had was I don't think A/C in my room was working. It stayed pretty hot regardless of the temperature I put it on. Be sure you don't try to put any of your own items in the fridge though, if you take an item out even if you don't consume it, they charge you. There's a sensor in the fridge. It was disappointing not having a personal fridge and microwave. Online when it said refrigerator I didn't think it was just a mini-bar. I would stay here again because it is in a safe location and everything was simple. Valet was easy and didn't take a long time, checking in and out was quick and easy, charges are explained to you properly. The hotel was expensive but it is worth the peace of mind and convenience you get while staying there.
