Great location - just outside the hubbub of the French quarter but an easy walk over. Also accessible to museums, the waterfront and a walk or tram ride into the Garden District. Our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was basic but fine. Bed was comfortable and all common areas seem to be well maintained. A couple of minor complaints - we dropped off our luggage before we could check into our room (which was great) but then it took a long time to actually get to us once we checked in (we had to check at the front desk twice). Room service cleaned our room and took our towels without leaving us new ones. All the snacks and water in the room are sensor activated so you can't even move them without being charged, which I just think is silly. Those small complaints aside, we had a comfortable, pleasant stay. We didn't get to take advantage of the pool or bars but they seem like they add a good value too.

The location is badly managed. The bathroom were out of ordered. We normally get upgraded and the upgrades were available but they refused to upgraded because of not wanting to be inconvenient to open up the room for us. There was one employee and he said he did not know what he was doing. Clearly not the best experience ever.

Room was a good size, always clean and had a comfortable bed. There was kind of a strong smell, it wasn't a bad smell, I just couldn't figure out what it was, but it was strong and always there.

Had a convenience store in the lobby which was nice for getting some water or snack. Prices were actually fairly reasonable as well for the shop.

Hotel was a nice location, pretty much within walking distance of wherever you wanted to go. Nice place.

5 stars.

Staff was friendly, and our room was clean and nice. I would suggest to have an extra refrigerator that we could use to keep medications or food/drinks cool. There wasn't any space in the refrigerator provided in the room.

Fantastic location one block off the French quarter. A short walk to all the fun, but quiet when you want to come back. The staff are top notch, the place is gorgeous. You can't do better than here when visiting New Orleans

Rooms and facilities are definitely on the older side. That said, the room was functional and clean. The small shop in the lobby however is a bit disappointing. It was out of alka seltzer/Tums/Pepto when I needed it during some late night indigestion.

The intercontinental is the perfect hotel for those who want to be close to almost everything tourist would recommend and a few local hot spots, without being in the thick of it all. It has historic luxury charm with modern features. The only downside? No microwave in the room. Still an amazing stay and within walking distance of everything in almost every direction

Disappointment is what I was. Nice hotel. Felt safe but a rip off. They don t have refrigerators or microwave in room. They only have a mini bar with 4.50 can drink and 9.00 candy. Ridiculous. There are two restaurants and average breakfast is $35.00 for a continental breakfast. Ridiculous. When I went it to eat (somewhere else Od course) I cant even bring my to go back to place in fridge. If you have a child you can t keep baby milk cold or warm baby bottle. Ridiculous. They wanna force you to use expensive mini bar. If you stay at they hotel go right next door to daisy duke and get a nice meal for a normal price. Bed lumpy also. Then they have the nerve to have a note in bathroom asking you to help them save money by reusing your towels. But you won t save guess money with 4.50 can drinks. Ridiculous. Next time I ll search for a hotel with better accommodations.

Location is the key point that brought us here however our experience hasn't been the greatest. Bellmen had to deliver something to our room twice and expected a tip both times (awkward). Saw a large mouse scurry along a walk in the reception area. The room was nice, bed had a nice firm mattress. Wi-Fi is free, so that's always appreciated. Don't think I'd stay here again though.

Stayed here for 3 nights for Essence Fest weekend. Great room. Friendly staff. I hated to leave. Only complaints are the carpet on the 5th floor is worn and stained and the hotel location isn't the greatest for easily getting to the festival events. We walked a lot because driving was impossible with all the people walking around and the vehicle traffic everywhere. Trolleys were often packed too. Will definitely stay here again when I can actually use my car or take advantage of public transportation.

They are great. Staff was friendly. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Check in was fast and efficient. The food at the hotel was excellent. It is located right in the middle of everything. We basically walked everywhere we wanted to go.

Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Would definitely book here again.
Walking distance to everything.

I would agree with consensus I see on friendly staff, most of whom are very helpful and welcoming. The rooms are clean, soft beds and hotel seems to have good protocols in place for security. I don't really recommend Pete's buffet for breakfast at $25 per person due to selection and lack of quality at that price when there are so many local places to choose from in walking distance.

This hotel is nice with a good location near Canal Street. They seem to struggle with getting the rooms clean before check in time, so don't try to check in early and probably best to check in later. The cleaning of the rooms also happens later as well, which explains all of the people sitting around waiting for theirs rooms every day.
The breakfast buffet at Pete's is good, but expensive. Buffett was much better than just ordering off the menu, which was served to us under cooked.

Beautiful lobby and rooms. A little on the pricey side for room service but what hotel doesn't have pricey room service. However, if you have a car they don't have a parking garage but do have a valet service. If you use the valet service I recommend you take all your valuables out of the car.

The hotel is very nice, the bar has very good prices, the valet is very expensive per day around $ 50 USD per night and the person at the reception was unfriendly and seemed to be in a hurry to attend despite not having a line waiting

I stayed here while on a trip for a conference. I enjoyed staying here a lot. Friendly staff, lively downstairs bar area, well-maintained, and very cozy. Walking distance from the riverside area and French Quarters.

Very nice location, clean room, beautiful lobby. Our shower made a really loud noise when showering. They also kept replacing our towels even though we hung them up to save on cleaning costs.

Very close to French quarters. Walking distance from many tourist attractions, restaurants, bars etc. Hotel room was clean, bed was comfortable. Friendly staff. I would recommend to stay here if you are interested visiting French quarters and nearby attractions

LONG POST but frustrated about my terrible experience with this hotel. During my stay, the hotel cleaning staff consistently threw out personal items. First it was just our food but then I found that they had discarded my clothes/laundry that I had placed in a plastic bag for cleaning. I was upset but I understood it was likely a mistake. When I sought help from loss prevention, on the last day of my stay, they assured me they would investigate and keep me posted. This seemed legitimate. Since then the staff has been nothing but unprofessional, as it's already been 2 months since they supposedly filed a report and I've had to personally call back no less than 7 times to follow up because no had the common decency or courtesy to even let me know what was going on. I left voicemails for management and messages with staff and I was promised on more than one occasion that I would receive a call back, not once did that happen. The items were not of value and I feel like a broken record but it really comes down to bad customer service. The hotel staff was not helpful, they apologized but did not provide any kind of alternative solution and I am still waiting on a call back. I was passed from one person who wouldn't call me back to the next and I would not recommend this hotel. I had a problem and still do yet no one respected my time and I did not feel like a valued hotel guest.

Great location, the rooms are nice and staff is great. I had an issue with being over charged for valet that took a few days to correct. However, I checked out on Wednesday and by Monday it was made right.

I enjoyed my stay here. The checkout time is amazing (noon). The room was very clean and had comfortable beds. The hotel lobby and adjoining rooms were very well decorated and were fun to hang out in. The bar area was a great place to watch music and meet others. It's also an easy walk down to Canal St, Starbucks, and the French Quarter.

Warm emotional place close to the Quarter. Balconies. Chefs that will brief you on the dishes. Totally professional and helpful staff. Recommended, but I think the word is getting out-fully booked last time I tried.

This hotel was nice. I really wanted to give them 5 stars, but due to the craziness of the pandemic, the hurricane, the smell of weed through the entire hotel and elevators. Just wasn't relaxing at all, though understand it's not entirely the fault of the hotel.

Nice hotel with a historic feel. All the staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice and quiet.

I'm deducting one star for two reasons: 1. The valet-only parking is expensive but this is the same with all things in downtown New Orleans. 2. My room had signs of use when I arrived and so did my colleague's room. 3. WiFi is super slow compared to what I typically get at a Hilton family hotel

We are currently staying 4 nights. The rooms have great AC, we have a great view, and the cutomer service is amazing. Beds are great, as are the pillows. This hotel is as good as you are going to get to "Luxury" on a budget. It's walking distance to the French Quarter and Garden District, plus the trolley comes by right in front of the hotel. If you are staying in NOLA, this is definitely a great place to add to your considerations.

Nice hotel.

Nice hotel.
Clean. Ok for the money.

But NO PAY PER VIEW. 3 boring HBO channels. I did not know hotels like this still exists in large city downtowns. Honestly Holliday Inn has bigger channel selection.
Wi-Fi rather slow so streaming movies on your own device is not going to happen.
And of course if you are trying to get your suitcases out of your own car the hotel person will inform you with disdain "this is a full service hotel sir" and if you opt not to let them park your car for a small $50 that means you are some redneck penny pincher...

Otherwise food is decent. Kids did hate the pizza.
Refrigerator full of $4 Diet Coke cans and $6 RedBull small cans that we all know cost one dollar each or less. That is just wrong on a principle. Ok. It is a fancy hotel. But could they leave some room for anything I might choose to put there? Not a chance. To me it does not meet "refrigerator equipped room" definition.
