I had lunch at the restaurant, Trenasse. I got the soup (gumbo) and sandwich (cuban) combo. Sandwich was very good. Nice smoky flavor to the pork. Gumbo was good as well. I also had the botanical garden cocktail, which was excellent.

This is a nice, respectable hotel. The location is very good, walking distance to Bourbon Street but far enough away not to hear the revelers. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There are two restaurants in the hotel plus a small area for convenience items. My one complaint is that the walls are very thin and you can hear everything said by your neighbors in the rooms next door and in the hallways. Bring your earplugs.

Great location - not too close, not too far from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. Clean, spacious rooms. Overall, a comfortable, relaxing stay that was reasonably priced during the summer.

This is a decent hotel. It is a conference hotel where I have stayed multiple times. For the price, it is a decent place to stay. It is clean, the staff is very nice, and it is centrally located. That is why I gave it four stars. Without these factors working it its favor, I would have given it three. My issue is that it is starting to look a little tired, and out of date.

I arrived early (2pm) and was told that my room is not ready and they do not have to have them ready until 4pm. OK I was allowed to leave me luggage and I walked over and had a bite to eat on canal. I waited for them to call- at 4pm I came back and asked about my room again I was told they were busy and would get to my room it was not ready and I needed to wait.
Old rooms need updating.
Cleaning service does not clean very well.
I had a room that had a connecting doors and when I woke up it was open - scared the *hit out of me and when I reported it both times I was told they would get someone up to lock it up (it would not lock with the dead bolt) . Finally the head of housekeeping came in to verify the room was done was able to lock the dead bolt.
The gym was nice and clean and had cleaning wipes.
I will not be back

Room 868 doesn't have a balcony and the view is a brick wall and the room's next doors balcony. When i informed the hotel it was my daughters birthday i expected something different as with previous stays with IHG hotels they show a little more care with birthdays. Other than that and the $55/a night incidentals charge that i was not made aware of during the reservatiom OR check in process..our stay was uneventful. It is close walking distnace to alot pf great restaurants , canal st etc. The room was clean and the housekeepers were super sweet and thorough.

WE are over ecstatic to be able to write this review. The manager Jawanda was amazing at being understanding and patient with our situation. Our original reservations were for Thursday to Sunday, but because of the blizzard taking place in New York our flight was delayed to later that evening. Our new reservation is now Friday to Monday. Jawanda listened attentively and just made us feel at ease. Managers such as her, is what makes the travel experience pleasant. Jawanda accommodated us, with no issues. Truly recommend this hotel for the amazing customer service we received.

I hated my whole trip and started by getting to the hotel to find myself in a shelter. Expensive shelter, dirt everywhere, cigarette and weed smell on the floors. I waked up a couple of times because the women in the room around screaming. Food was thrown in the carpets, police are everywhere, lack of security in the hotel. My outside food delivery arrived directly to my room and the guy was able to pass all the security. Before I came, they told me the pool will be open but when I show up they said they did not open it yet. The location is poor, you can look at another tall building next to you. It is like you are staying in prison. Never again at this location.

I stayed at the Intercontinental New Orleans for a week with my family. The hotel is located in a central location, a few blocks away from the French Quarter. The rooms are nice and large with 5 star amenities. What I love the most is the service at the hotel, from the wait staff at breakfast to the concierge (George) everyone is super helpful and friendly.

A special mention to Salman Chaudry the Manager at the hotel who took such good care of us and made us feel right at home!

I am looking forward to coming back to this hotel in the future!

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. It was in walking distance to bourbon street and the French quarters. The room was nice. The con I have is that the bed was hard and my back was hurting when I left. Other than that things were good.

Great location. Large clean rooms with decore that suits the city, it's not a generic hotel. Room was quiet and clean. Great restaurant with happy hour. Right of the St. Charles street car and a couple blocks from the French Quarter.

Very nice hotel. Conveniently located to everything we wanted to do in NOLA. The room was nicely equipped and very comfortable. Nicely updated with a beautiful bathroom. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge had great suggestions for more local/less touristy spots to go and marked them all on a map for us.

The room was good sized. The bathroom(and my partner and I are very fussy about bathrooms)layout was perfect. Alex the bartender in the restaurant is personal and excellent mixologist. The food is excellent. Can't think of a negative comment to make.

Very nice, professional staff in a great location in New Orleans. Room was great and very comfortable.. only negative experience about this hotel, was the cleaning staff were very rude.. and did not clean our roon or replace our bins and towles. But as soon as this matter was brought to the service desks attention, within a day clean towels and bins were brought to our room and the room was completed sereviced. Thank you for a great experience

Nice.

Sensors? Really? What if I bumped the refreshment tray by mistake? Why is there a mini fridge in the room? Okay, I see about the mini bar but what about my own refreshments. No room for me to place anything.

I stayed for nearly two weeks on a recent business trip. Staff was friendly (front desk, bar, room service, coffee cart and valets) however the restaurant and housekeeping were lacking. In the restaurant my sister cut her hand brushing off what she thought was a piece of ice turned out to be glass on her seat. No reponse from the staff. Housekeeping was hit or miss. Towels were either not replaced, missing (no floor towel or hand towels several times) or double what was needed. There was gum on the sheets when I checked in. Beds have a HUGE feathertop that does not stay in place and makes them extremely soft. Shower head was cheap and lousy. If it were not for the location and inconvenience I would have changed hotels after day 2.

Terrible customer service. I booked a room for my wife and her friends 6 months in advance. They arrive and are told they're room isn't ready. Check in was at 3 pm, this was at 5 pm. When they finally did get a room (after returning from the Taylor Swift concert) they received a king room instead of 2 queens that were booked. When she called downstairs to switch rooms she was told "there were none available" then hung up on. I'm guessing they don't understand what a reservation is. I've emailed the manager 3 times with no reply and called twice, both times when transferred the phone went dead. Being a loyal IHG member for years this terrible experience is making me take my business elsewhere from now on. I'd rather start from scratch with another company than have my wife and myself treated like garbage.

Do yourself a favor and pick any other property that's not IHG when looking for a hotel. Your own car would serve you better than this hotel.

I stayed here on June 15th in room 670 before I flew out of the country for a honeymoon. I accidentally left a pair of shoes in our room and have called several times since then and they have mysteriously not shown up or disappeared.. it s my fault for leaving them behind but is it too much to hope that someone would be an honest person and turn them in for a $300 a night room? I guess so.

Valet is ridiculous at $45/night. It is absurd. Also, could not use the luggage carts without using a ball man. Once again, its absurd. The hotel overall was nice and the room comfortable.

The bed was comfortable and the staff was nice. I didn't like the shower head - it was a soft rain style one, south no option for a stronger spray, which made it difficult to rinse my hair. The sink was shallow with the faucet set close to the back edge, which made it difficult to wash my hands. Toiletries were not all replaced when they were used up (some were, though, and I'm sure they would have replaced them if I called). On two separate occasions, i tried calling the front desk and got no answer - once from my cellphone while at the airport, and once from my room phone. I wouldn't object to staying here again, but next time I'm in New Orleans, I would choose somewhere else. The location was nice, just outside the French Quarter, walkable to most places we wanted to go.

The hotel was lovely. Our room had a great view. We checked in incredibly late one night and the staff was so welcoming and kind. We got checked in by Anna and she was so nice. Incredibly pleasant, professional, and friendly, which we were grateful for after a 6 hour drive from Memphis. Next time we travel to New Orleans, this will be the hotel we book.

Went for a conference for one night, room had trash in the bathroom waste basket and hair in the sink. I was also charged $4.40 unauthorized and despite leaving a complaint with their phone guest relations staff over a week ago I have heard nothing back despite being told it would be resolved within 48 hours. I will avoid in the future.

I've stayed at other Intercontinental hotels before, but this location doesn't compare. Not impressed. Homeless hang out on the side of the building near the parking garage. Some sort of clinic is being run in the hotel so a lot of non-guests access the building. The pictures on the site make the lobby look way bigger. Wasn't that impressed with the staff either.

If you expect to get new towels everyday, like you do at every other hotel, you will be disappointed. There are also indications that the rooms are never cleaned thoroughly (such as a layer of dust in the corner of the bathroom). Problems with hotel door keys not working, drains are clogged, and no indication whether the sheets are changed or not. However, the location is great (close to Beale street and the waterfront), the staff (except for the front desk and the maids) are helpful and friendly. Beds are comfortable, and the valets are great, but parking is $32 a night plus tax. I would not recommend this hotel to people who like cleanliness, but other than that it is about average in all the other aspects.

My visit to New Orleans was exceptional due my stay at InterContinental in New Orleans . The trip began with prompt and courteous service given by Manager Mr. Salman Chaudhry to the excellent service from all staff. My room was clean and roomy also my bed felt very comfortable to sleep on. Mornings began with I think one of the best breakfast buffets. The proximity to the French Quarters was very close to walk to as well as the location of the hotel was perfect to any main attraction in New Orleans. Yes, I would recommend this special hotel to anyone and I will return later this summer.

The Hotel is beautiful and elegant. Very close to all the excitement on Bourbon St. The room was perfect as well, the staff/service was excellent, very polite and both restaurants down stairs are worth the try the food is great. Highly recommend.

I stayed in this hotel in New Orleans for 5 nights. I chose ICN because I had great experiences in other cities I traveled. Unfortunately, as a frequent traveler, I found this is the only hotel that do not provide daily housekeeping even after I request the service. There were three housekeeping during my 5-night stay. ICN New Orleans will definitely not my choice when I visit New Orleans next time.

The atmosphere was great. The staff at the restaurant Trenasse was excellent. I ordered a hurricane which was excellent and ordered couple of items from the happy hour menu. The crayfish cake was delicious. The dozen raw oysters were awesome, shrimp was awesome, and smoked chicken wings were decent. I would definitely go back just for the food. The hotel lobby and bathroom was clean and nice. I am going to give Intercontinental a shot next time I come back to New Orleans. The location of the hotel is great and is close to all the restaurants, French quarters, and downtown.
