Great stay at the Intercontinental. It's in the business district so a quieter area but easy 5 minute walk to the French Quarter and all the bars and restaurant. Room was clean, and the staff were friendly. The reason I'm only giving it 4 stars is because they charge $43 per night for the valet / parking service. Quite overpriced,...
Pete's pub great bartenders. The hotel is pretty good in itsself
If you stay here, have dinner at Trenasse. Solid choice.
The atmosphere is amazing. I ordered the gumbo which was good. A couple sitting across from us ordered some beignets which were more like biscuits as they were pretty crispy and hard. So i guess my tip would be to get your beignets at Cafe Du Monde if you're ever in the mood for some.
Really good hotel which had brilliant rooms with quite good views. It was located near to anything you could possibly want to do which was perfect for tourists to explore the city. The wifi was extremely good aswell which is always a bonus. The only downside was the restaurants in the hotel were not only expensive but not up to a good quality. I would heavily recommend eating out at a local restaurant as there are some brilliant ones nearby.
was there for dinner. a bit pricey, but the food was good. service was okay... not as attentive as I thought they should be
Bathroom was not cleaned properly and found used washcloth in shower. Requested items for room and needed to call 3 times to get needed items.
Our room is beautiful. The bed is so comfortable. The service is beyond great. Booked our swamp your which was terrific.
I went to Trenasse for lunch, the food was good, the service could be better, in total I like it.
Huge, unexpected balcony. Extremely comfortable bed with an abundance of amazing pillows. Only been two days, happy so far.
The hotel is great but our TV has been out since we got here and they haven't been able to fix it. This is despite 2 separate engineers making it out....
I work in the Hospitality industry. Although it was Mardi Gras madness, the staff was exhausted, but they still exceeded expectations.
The staff, the food, the service, the ambience is amazing.
wonderful rooms with great city views. amazing breakfast
Check in was wonderful..Great eats and Great service.
Not happy at all- we drove 8 hours to arrive at the hotel around 6pm- just to be informed that our room wasn t ready- that their system was down and just now the washers were going. I was extremely tired - we had to leave and find somewhere to entertain us while they got the room ready. This was very inconvenient and not what I expected with the quality of hotel
Great customer service and friendly concierge. Restaurants inside are not that good, don't let this be your first dining experience no matter how hungry you are on arrival. The gym is adequate, walk through it to get to the outdoor pool (no roof) on the 15th floor. Buy water anywhere else or free at the bar it's $6 a bottle in the gift shop. It's about 14 min away from Burbon St. But a left and a right on the right streets gets you there in less time. You'll have lots of Uber rides and Lyft rides available.
Comfortable hotel. Auotmated snack and drinks shop. Pretty good in-house restaurant. Proximity to French Quarter. All good things.
What is expected of the brand. Good room, excellent location.
Would've been 5 stars but there was this really loud buzzing that would go on and off in our rooms throughout our stay. Staff was very friendly.
Considering i traveled two days before Christmas, on a Friday, everything went smoothly, queue was maintained properly. Good job MYA
Nice looking centrally located hotel only a few blocks away from bourbon street.walk isn't too bad to other French quarters areas, but depends on how you handle humidity lol. Close walk to superdome as well.
Terrific 5-Star hotel with great staff and accommodations!
Everything about the Intercontinental exceeded expectations for our weekend. They are the constant professional.
Furnishings are really old the rooms are not as they are described on website and the manager just lies and tells you that that's all there is it you it's been remodeled but none of it Furnishings are new lamp was falling apart in the room but it is clean
I'm at the hotel right now and it's being a big disappointment. Upon arrival, the girl at the desk did not explain anything to us, not even where the elevators were. As for the room we have been given one with an inner door to the next room, I am hearing all the conversation from the neighbors !!
I only went there for a restaurant, however, the workers were very friendly.
Very nice hotel with a beautiful lobby, nicely furnished rooms and good amenities. I would take some points for the fact that the water in the room ran way hot and you couldn't figure out a balance with the cold on, but it's a small inconvenience.
Beautiful hotel everything was wonderful and the bed was amazing
Great location, conveniences, and beautiful hotel. Room service was exquisite but the restaurant could have been better
Place is gorgeous. Need card to work elevator for extra security, but difficult to find even using a GPS due to back inaccessible entrance.
Room service with great air concierge service is great rooms for great if you're going to stay in New Orleans I suggest you stay at the Intercontinental
Very nice hotel and good restaurant downstairs with a bar. Our room had a balcony. Room was very pretty and large size. No mini bar but offered a good menu for room service!
Black mold in the bathroom took housekeeping 2 days to address not good!
They didn't notify us that most restaurants were closed and most of the bars as well. The late night staff was horribly rude. I would never stay here again.
This is a lovely hotel, full of friendly staff. We stay here often, including during Mardi Gras. Definitely one of my favorites in downtown New Orleans.
Booked room with 2 queen beds and balcony. Paid in full 3 months in advance. Got there was given a room with no balcony. Asked to be moved, got the balcony but one king bed and a roll away bed. The tv had no signal so no tv . blamed it on the weather??? Was over cast but no rain.the other people I came with had t.v.. Ate in the restaurant nobody ate their food it was so bad. We were not charged for the meals.I thought the front desk people where very rude through all this.
Nice Hotel , expecting more from IHG , its not on the level of Dubai Intercontinental!!!
Hotel located near casino and area attractions trolley stops right across street .hotel staff helpful and frendly. Rooms and hotel clean safe area
Great hotel excellent service! Will always stay here when vacationing in New Orleans!!
Haven't stayed here yet. Visitors tell me very nice things about this hotel.
Location is great, amenities are awesome, and staff is very friendly. My only beef is that the walls are so thin I can hear my neighbors taking in the next room.
Very clean and customer service is outstanding. It's right in the middle of everything where you can walk to whatever you want including Bourbon Street
Nice hotel. Clean, nice staff, and pretty good food.
lovely hotel, great customer service. a bit of wear and tear on the rooms, no in-room refrigeration option to store leftovers from the local restaurants or even the hotel restaurant for that matter, and the hotel restaurant was very expensive (breakfast buffet $25.00). overall, though, a top choice.
The rooms are fantastic. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower works well for tall people.
Excellent staff and excellent location. Just two blocks away from the French Quaters.
Location was perfect, in the downtown French Quarter. The hotel 5 star, the room very spacious. An excellent value. Would highly recommend.
Had a great stay here, perfect location.. was able to just walk about 10 minutes to where all the bars and everything was at downtown (stayed around New Years time). Only complaint about the hotel is, for the price I paid, i was very disappointed that there s no mini fridge or microwave in the rooms, or in the hotel even! Wasn t even able to reheat my food in either restaurant downstairs. Only con I would give about the hotel. Staff was great as well!!
IHG does it again. Every Intercon we stay at provides the best in service and accommodations. The staff is very friendly and our room was spacious. Couldn't ask for a better location in Downtown. It was a short walk from the Riverwalk and French Quarter.
This hotel was wonderful! From the valets to the room service staff they were extremely friendly and nice, the rooms were very large and the bed was heavenly. The view was lacking in our room but you can't have everything :). The rooms have stocked mini bars and large TVs, the floors felt heated though I'm not sure they were. Except for the occasional sirens outside the room was exceptionally quiet.
Nice staff, 'clean' room (well, I found some old candy wrap under the bed when looking for my phone; this makes me cringe at what else could be there!). The corridor on 11th floor had a little ?smell.
The food was very nice too, with a lovely ambience in the dining area.
The location is very good! But the lobby is about small and there is no place to relax.
Loved the food at Trenasse. Everything was delicious. The Stinky's Stew is amazing. The service was mediocre.
Hotel was very clean and staff was very professional, yet still friendly. Rooms are well appointed. Prices were a bit too inflated for in-room services/mini-bar. Room service menu was a bit limited.
Great Hotel! Great location in the heart of the French Quarter!
We went to the bar for happy hour. It was a great deal with great food and the service to match.
Clean rooms and friendly staff. Parking is either inconvenient for expensive. Check the amenities list carefully to avoid hidden fees.
We had a large group that stayed there. The rooms were awesome. So clean. We had a balcony with a dark view and they called it a "garden view". My major complaint was a group who took over the pool and even had it closed for a private party. For 3 days they invaded the pool. The pool was the main reason we chose this hotel!!! The staff were all very professional and seemed happy!!!!
Not quite what you'd expect from an Intercontinental
Great hotel. Breakfast (if included) is beyond amazing for a hotel, they even offer made-to-order omelets. Everything was very clean but the thermostat was a bit hard to work. You have to really press the arrows to get it to change. Beds are softer than average, but this is subjective depending on what your preferences are. Water pressure left a lot to be desired, but the shower was very nice. Far above average.
Rooom was hot as hell...saw I was on crutches put ne in furthest room from elevator
The rooms look new, beds were comfortable, big TV, tons of amenities. Lobby is gorgeous and staff was helpful and wonderful to talk to. Only a ten minute walk to the quarter, incredibly well located. Would highly recommend!
Very good location and clean hotel.the ice maker was broken on our floor, the house keeper did not offer help and said there is no other way to get ice.
