I was there for a wedding and the venue was beautiful. had a very nice time there
Dining at it's finest.. Superior food at excellent prices. Will be visiting again.
Inter Continental New Orleans is a nice hotel Went to visit a friend and was very pleased with the room
Beautiful Hotel. Ambiance is lost on me though- the lights are usually too dim.
professional and attentative service. absolute delight.
Great hotel for Mardi Gras...right on the parade route.
The hotel manager is very very rude. I had an issue with the laundry - It wasn t ready on time, even though on the phone they said it was ready. I was very upset, because I had to wear dirty cloths for the conference. Instead of apology the manager placed the list of laundry policy and hours to my face. Never stay at this place, you don t deserve to be treated like this
LOVE this hotel!!! I'll definitely be back! Highly recommended....
the hotel was nice, clean, and the service was very good. Everyone we spoke with were very friendly and helpful.
Did not live up to the hipe! I stay in Holiday Inn's every week, only difference is a little nicer furnishings and a whole lot of tipping.
Was there for a fundraising event. The venue space was classy, the service excellent and the event went off without a hitch! Well done event staff!
Great hotel, staff always takes care of me and knows me be name. Love it here.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are a good size, however rather dated. No self parking, instead valet parking is the only option. I understand parking is at a premium in downtown New Orleans which is why the $45 charge is imposed.
We had booked a family room here for four people. The beds were just big enough. Room was also neat and plumbing was also fine. The location is convenient. Close to the Frenche Quarter where it is bustling both during the day and at night. Ca. 30 min from the airport.
This hotel provided poor experience on top of poor experience. Upon check-in they had the wrong arrival/departure dates (despite the email confirmation I received with the correct dates). Instead of being apologetic about the system glitch, the man at check in was very rude and continued to blame TravelZoo for the mistake then told me to call and figure out the issue while waving me to the side. Eventually (1 hour later) I was able to get TravelZoo and Intercontinental to agree on dates and allow check-in.
After getting to the room, there were several things missing (only 1 drinking glass despite placeholder for 2 glasses, Keurig but no coffee pods, no room service menu). After calling guest services to get these items, it took over an hour to receive. Later we needed limes for cocktails, that also took more than an hour so we decided to go down to the bar to get them ourselves.
The next day our room wasn't cleaned when we returned to the hotel at 4pm, when notifying the front desk they said they weren't properly staffed at that time and we would need to wait until the next day for cleaning. While getting ready to go out we decided to order room service (and glasses because they were never replaced), it took 45 minutes to get a cheese board and chips/salsa and our glasses never arrived.
Overall, not much went right in regards to the hotel or it's staff. Luckily it was walking distance to most attractions and we didn't let it ruin the rest of our trip.
Easy access to local transportation and central to events and local tourist spots.
Nicely appointed but they screwed up our reservation and we did not get a Kind bedroom, only queen. The guy checking in in front of was was very mad as they had screwed up his reservation as well. We normally stay at a different t hotel but it was full. We will make sure on future trips to book early enough to get our regular spot on the corner of Bourbon and Canal.
Great place to stay. Large, clean rooms, 2 restaurants on site, close to the French Quarter. Highly recommended.
OK, rooms are very cramped for the price your are paying. service is nice
Very nice, clean and conveniently located to downtown.
Trenasse was amazing. We only went for happy hour. 75 cent oysters, I'm there! Fresh & slightly sweet. Yummmmm. Also their crawfish pie was so delicious. Probably my favorite thing I had when in New Orleans for a short weekend. Had a fair selection of local beers for happy hour. 5/5 would come back to try other menu items during our next trip.
Large, comfortable rooms, just a couple of blocks from the French Quarter. Nice lobby and good restaurants. Could be a bit cleaner but overall a nice hotel.
CHECK YOUR AIR FILTER AND ROOM FANS. the air filter in our room was filthy! Amidst a worldwide pandemic it s imperative to have clean air... free of germs, viruses and contaminants. If the air filter is too full dust to keep our air quality sanitary, it needs to be addressed. The fans In our room didn t work. Room 661. We were sleeping in protective masks in our hotel room. Intercontinental needs to be dedicated to a higher standard of preventative maintenance and cleanliness that will prevent the spread or persistence or illness.
This is a great place to stay, stop searching. It's close to everything you want to be close to. I didn't use my car for the 3 days. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are adequate size, walls are a bit thin but I've paid more for the same or worse.
Excellent service, close to French Quarter you can walk and very good restaurants nearby
Very convenient location with large rooms. A good tourist hotel
Great staff, the rooms are decent and clean, a little noisy (kids were next door and you can hear them).
Been to N.O. many times but never stayed here before. This a great hotel! Located on St. Charles Street in downtown conveniently located. Walking distance to all downtown attractions and good eating places such as Emeril`s. Hotel was clean and newly renovated and service was great. Would stay here again!
I had a very nice stay there, staff was very friendly, helpful and the room was wonderful. I really enjoyed the place and highly recommend it.
Went to Trenaese restaurant. Highly recommended! Professional wait staff amazing selection of small plates and full entrees.
Already having a time with our room. Getting charged more than we are suppose to and not the right rooms
It was a nice hotel in a great location, but the service was bad. After multiple calls and visiting the front desk for toilet paper because we were out and there were no extra rolls in the room, I had to go to one of their public restrooms and take a roll from one of the stalls, no one ever came to give us any.
Also, we removed a few items from the minibar to put in our own items, the front desk called to inquire if we used the items and we let them know the items were still unused, but our stuff was in the fridge, they then locked the minibar and would not open it to get our items out until we were ready to check out, it was very frustrating.
This is a review for Trenasse, but the system isn't letting me pick that for some very frustrating reason. Anyway... amazing dinner last night at Trenasse. Really delicious. We each had a cocktail. I had the Orange Blossom which was delicious. Very light, citrus and sparkly. My friend had a French 75. I started with the escargot. Not in the shell, a good dozen, wonderful rich, yet delicate sauce. I ended up soaking up every last bit of it with the toasted French bread served alongside! My friend had the chili shrimp which she also loved. (Sorry, no pic of that!) Neither of us left a crumb behind! I followed up with the Crab Trio. So good! Basically crab three ways. Much lighter than one would expect from the description. And so much yummy crab. My friend had the lamb chops. Two double chops perfectly cooked. She took half of hers home for lunch! I had a sweet craving so I had the chocolate peanut bar. REALLY delicious. Creamy and rich, but the PB part was fluffy and lighter so not as dense as one might think. (Didn't get a picture of it, sorry!) Definitely would go back!
The hotel addressed the needs of my organization beyond my expectations.
This was our First trip to New Orleans we came out for the Lakers <Pelicans Game! We had the Pleasure of staying at Intercontinental! I chose this hotel because of the Reviews and there Website! The Beds was the most comfortable beds ever! The room was amazingly CLEAN! The staff was super nice! I tryly enjoyed my stay! I will definitely be back to New Orleans! I will always stay at Intercontinental! I gove this gotel 1,000 stars!
Located just blocks from the French Quarter this hotel offers a restaurant/bar and a gym The hotel staff is very friendly and the rooms are updated and spacious.
Nice hotel, close to everything. easy check in and check out. Room Service was slower than expected. West facing room are a bit noisy when the trolley car comes by. Restaurant in the hotel has good food and drinks.
With as much traffic that comes through the hotel they should have all elevators working and make it more accessible to get to the parking garage.
Great rooms, restaurants are excellent, close to many places.
Courteous, attentive staff. Clean facilities. Excellent food and drink.
Rooms had all new furninshings, bathrooms were larger, good location.
This hotel is one of the best I've stayed at, and definitely one of the best in New Orleans. We had three separate rooms for our family, and they were able to get us all on the same floor when we checked in. The rooms were large and quiet, with clean well stocked restrooms. All of the staff we dealt with were please the and eager to assist. The happy hour specials were good, and the menu looked delicious. If we didn't already have dinner reservations elsewhere, I wouldn't hesitate to eat here. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!
Hotel is located on St. Charles center to everything. Walking distance to everything. Hotel has valet parking, pool, concierge, restaurants, coffee shop. The rooms are clean with city views. Beds are comfortable and soft pillows. Mini fridge, coffee maker and a safe are porvided.
Room was ok, breakfast was ok, gym is ok, service was below average. For a luxury hotel this is not enough. Beds and location were great though.
I would recommend only if you got a deal. Lots of issues with malfunctioning room keys, very small pool, some people had serious issues with AC not working and untimely housekeeping service. Parking is also very expensive. On the upside, awesome location, good lobby bar and decent business center. You can probably do better for the price tho.
Great drink, walking distances to everything, staff was nice friendly and very helpful.
Great, clean hotel with 2 restaurants connected to the hotel. The cleaning service did an excellent job cleaning and restocking the room.
I stayed at the Intercontinental with a very large group for Mardi Gras. The rooms are always so clean and comfortable. The staff is very accommodating. It was a little frustrating that the hotel blocked the entrance during parades so that in order to get to your room, you had to walk around the block. But overall, we had a very nice time.
Had three month long stay. Good amenities and location. But more than all the place has the best staff who are customer oriented.
30 mins to check in. $150 cleaning fee(not deposit) for bringing a dog. They wanted to charge $50 for parking without asking. We had already parked somewhere else. Toilet clogged. Good location though.
The room was more than we expected, it was great. The atmosphere is great and location is prime.
Ordered a latte at the bar. Machine was not working, so we got To free Coffey!
Great staff, room, and lobby. Best value we found by far. Walkable to most everything
The rooms are very clean, spacious, and have a great open patio space. The beds are very comfortable, parking next door is reasonably priced, and it's within walking distance of wherever you want to go
Stayed here for Mardi Gras, GREAT location, front desk staff were very helpful! We enjoyed every part of our stay.
Nice hotel close to the more popular areas of NOLA highly recommended for frequent travelers and new visitors to the city alike!
Very nice hotel would have rated it 5 stars if they had a refrigerator in the room for your personal use, instead of a bar fridge with over priced beverages like $4 for a small water. No microwave in the room either. Otherwise top notch.
I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience, and the hotel accommodation for my needs. The location of the hotel is also very convenient for exploring the city.
The hotel is very good, well located .. Well worth it
The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. The noise level is low to say I can literally see Canal st. from my room. The decor is nice when you walk in you really feel the elegance of the establishment. The rooms though spacious and comfortable need updating. They are in the middle of a multi-million dollar renovation so hopefully the showerheads will be on the list of things to update. There is no microwave here however. With all of the food that N.O. has to offer one would think that a microwave would be standard and not $20. Generous portions are the staple of the food industry here and for a hotel not to offer you the ability to heat your food? I guess its all about the money. There was an attendant named Lindsay that was very helpful so if you get a chance deal with her. All in all decent hotel. Not too far from the attractions. Clean and spacious enough. Just dont expect much extra.
Fantastic hotel. Very pleasant staff. Sensors on the snacks and drinks to charge if you ate them was outputting. Would rather them just not be there instead
Best hotel to stay at in New Orleans hands down. Sensually located in the business district only a 15 minute walk from the Garden District the art District Bourbon St., Canal Street and the Natchez steamboat. The streetcar runs right in front of it. The only drawback is the fact that there is limited parking And the fact that the Romans only contain minibar refrigerators. However the service it makes the difference. Pete s restaurant had a delicious continental breakfast as well as awesome happy hour deals and the staff was awesome. They also were willing to secure the portable scooter that I rented from school around wheelchair rentals. I would highly recommend the Intercontinental New Orleans hotel to anybody who really wants to enjoy their stay.
This is a beautiful hotel. Staff are friendly and competent. It is in a great location and in walking distance to many popular NOLA sites. The Hotel has a restaurant with great food as well.
One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Made my trip even more amazing. The staff was very personable and attentive and the rooms were clean.
Very affordable! Very accomodating! Very fancy! Just don't touch the waters on the shelf. They're like $7 a bottle.
