Room was nice and very well presentable. However, our ice machine was broke and had to travel to additional floors. I had dropped my wedding band behind the vanity in our room and upon retrieval of my ring, there was a ton of dust and misc trash. Room overall all was nice, but could use a deep clean. Staff was very nice and professional. Stayed here for New Year's and was in a perfect location.

I'm not one to usually leave reviews, but I needed to with this experience. I booked our hotel several months ago for the concert in the area. I originally booked two queen beds. We arrived at the hotel and waited in line for the valet for about 30 minutes, meanwhile I am getting yelled at for blocking the street because the valet was so backed up. Once we dropped our car off we walked inside to people scattered all around the lobby and one woman yelling because she had been there since 2pm and it was now 4pm and she still didn't have a room. I waited in line and was told it would be 30 minutes before a room became available. We waited for an hour, still no room. I went to check again. Another 30 minutes. By this time it was about 6pm and we needed to go to the concert. We had to change in the hotel lobby, along with about 50+ other people and do our makeup out there too. Right before we left for the concert our room was ready and we had a king size room instead of the two queens we requested. Earlier we were told if we got a king size room, we would get our room faster. That did not happen. Check in time is supposed to be at 3pm. We booked this hotel for its fantastic reviews; it was a horrible experience. We didn't receive an apology, we didn't receive any sort of compensation. It was so disappointing and made a really fun weekend into a stressful one. Save yourself the trouble and book another hotel. Events happen in New Orleans all the time, how could they not be prepared.

Okay, I have read the reviews and I am officially scared! I am staying at this hotel this weekend and I am going to come back to post my experience afterwards. I always book through hotwire and I have always been very pleased with my accommodations. I have also read reviews in the past and the reviews were very bad an my experience was pleasant. I am a FREQUENT traveler so my comfort in my hotel is 50% of my enjoyment as I just like the excitement of being around different people in a new place. Sounds like a great location, but my service and comfort are first and foremost! Oh INO, please allow me to post a positive review.......part 2 to come :) I am giving 5 stars just like they do the first day in school, and I want to come back to confirm that my experience matched the stars given and you have no deductions. NEW ORLEANS HERE I COME!

Alright. Overpriced a bit and the "upgraded" me from a City view to a balcony. Which means I get to look at my hotel neighbors and the office building across from me.

Hard to find (Ubers had issues), but very classy hotel. Very nice bellman. I loved the decor. Also I like how there was a foyer in the room, roomy closet, and the sink was outside of the bathroom, which made it more convenient to get ready. Close to the super dome (5 blocks).

Not as nice as some other Intercontinental properties I have stayed at but very decent amenities. Not a fan of the sensor mini bars. Location is OK for easy access to the St Charles streetcar but be aware that the hotel is not on the French Quarter. At best it is a few blocks from the southern edge of it. A good walk from Bourbon and a long trek from Frenchman.

Extremely uncomfortable mattress. Noticed several blown bulbs throughout hotel. Soap scum on shower walls. Ice machine area smelled like fish. Overall, this hotel needs the leadership to step in a direct many things.

Upscale, pricey, modern hotel, close to french quarter and trolley system. Valet parking is a must. Pricey restaurant inside, bistro/bar is better choice for eating. Delicious variety on menu. Overall, nice but expensive.

We came in unexpectedly at 3am and they got us a room quickly. Super clean rooms - love the snack bar and the mini bar - pricing is what you d expect to pay. The staff are super friendly and prepared to do their job even at 3am. I d stay here again in a heartbeat. The bed was comfortable. Great lighting in the room. Excellent.

The hotel is a nice hotel and in a favorable location. Most of the staff was very friendly. However I became very frustrated when the floor I was on turned into a construction zone. Bathtubs were being refinished and the smell of the acrylic material was extremely strong. I find it ridiculous that I would be placed on the six floor with the staff knowing I would be there for a week and knowing construction was planned for that week. I did not ask to move because it is a pain in the butt to pack up and do so. If they did not have rooms on other floors when I brooked the hotel then the online transaction never should have occurred. The straw that broke the camels back was after spending nearly $1000.00 for the week of living in the lap of construction, the usual morning cup of coffee that was normally complimentary became a $3.30 cup of coffee....and when I complained the wait staff had no explanation other to imply take it or leave it. Since I typically spend one to two weeks per month working in New Orleans I will be leaving this hotel off my preferred list. So Intercontinental....you just ran off a customer that would have been paying over $1000.00 per month over a crappy stay and a $3.00 cup of coffee. Take a look out your windows....there are hotels everywhere nearby and one of those will be getting my business the second week in January when I am back down for a two week stay.

Everything was super smooth. Valet was nice and the person that brought out bags in was nice as well. The hotel itself was beautiful, and the restaurants inside were unique. I didn't get to try too much off the menu, but I'm sure the food is good because plenty of people from the business district came in from outside just to eat and left to go about their days. The room itself was really clean, and they provided toiletries that most other hotels do not. There were shower caps, q-tips, kleenex, etc. Little things. I enjoyed my stay.

Super friendly staff. Gorgeous rooms with most amenities but microwave (just wanted to warm up a meal). Using the TV is slightly annoying as once you select a channel you can't view the guide. You have to turn the TV off and on. Got everything else though - iron, hair dryer, make up mirror. Great stay

Great location just a few blocks from the French Quarter and half mile from the Riverwalk on one side and the Superdome on the other. I liked not being right in the middle of the French Quarter during spring break but could spend time there easily with a walk of a few blocks. Staff and concierge was helpful and friendly at every turn.

Our room was clean, comfortable nicely furnished. Small issue with the bathroom, and an unpleasant experience with a staff member. I am not a mean person so I will leave out the details. Everyone needs their livelihood. Giving this three stars because of that employee. Room was $222.00 + tax for 3 adults, $47.00 a night for parking, didn't use any of the bar or refrigerator items. Prices were ridiculous a better value could have been has elsewhere. You could have done better.

The staff was helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable and spacious. It was nice having 2 restaurants to choose from even though I did not take advantage of them. The balcony faced a building under construction so it didn't get much use. Lastly, they kept my bag even after I checked out because I had a late flight. That was great. Aaron was great at check in and George the concierge was most helpful. All in all, I'll stay there again.

The stay was average, but way over priced for the product we got. The issue was that the booking staff was deceptive by not quoting the full price over the phone. When we arrived at the hotel, the total price of the stay was much more. I opened a case through management, but they never responded, as if I would just let it go. They had no microwave or refrigerator, allowing you to keep snacks. They had their own snacks, which were way over priced. The main issue for me was just the incompetence or deceptiveness of the booking staff to tell me a total price of the entire stay. Other than that, the staff was friendly and the rooms clean, which honestly should be expected.

Awful. From front desk lengthy check-in, to stained carpets in lobby, dirty, smelly rooms, no help with bags, and exceedingly rude staff who threatened to down-grade our room. Intercontinental should be ashamed to have their name associated with this location. We are Ambassador members and have stayed at Intercontinental hotels all over the world and always enjoyed our stay, so we were looking forward to our first stay in this particular hotel. But the New Orleans location? Suffice it to say, we did not spend the night, but checked out and stayed at NOPSI which, we would highly recommend.

This is the best IHG property that I've ever stayed at. I literally come to NOLA as often as I do largely because of the absolutely five star customer service that they provide. Each time I stay here, I feel like I'm a welcomed guest, and each time I leave, I want to return. They couldn't do a better job at highlighting the best things about the Intercontinental brand.

Hotel was very clean and staff was extremely helpful. The dining options within the hotel were good. The hotel was located within walking distance of the French Quarter. The eating options directly surrounding the hotel were lacking. Subway and Jimmy John's were both within walking distance but we're both closed during what would be normal business hours. There were a few smaller local spots in the vicinity and their offerings were adequate.

Not at all what it should be for the rates they get for the suites.....no extra sheets or pillows for the other room (suite), had to park in a parking lot down the street , because they let the parking garage fill up with cars for an event they were having.....my truck was broken into in this parking lot a block away......had to call down for extra sheets and pillows , there's no pics of bathrooms online because the bathrooms are the same size as a motel 6 .....I'm spire elite status with the IHG hotel chain , so I've stayed in few hotels....

I have stayed here before and had a good experience. However, be careful if you are booking through hotwire or one of the discount sites. I booked two rooms for two families of 4. I clearly stated at booking that we had 2 adults and 2 children in each room. At check in we were given two rooms with a king bed and a cot in each room. The hotel stated that sleeping 3 people in a king bed with one in a cot was acceptable. After complaining to hotwire we were given the option of moving to another hotel. We chose this option and we were given 2 double beds in each room in a comparable class of hotel. Apparently after booking through the "hot rate" option with hotwire the hotel is the entity that assigns the # of beds. All in all quite a hassle, but in the end hotwire did come through, Intercontinental New Orleans, not so much. We will not go back despite multiple trips to N.O. per year.

I used a travel agent to book this hotel. It was my birthday weekend and I wanted to go to a warmer environment. The hotel has been newly renovated. My only complaint was that when I went to the room, my telephone was out of order. They quickly moved me to another location. I was given a (2) $25 credit to food purchases at the hotel along with a birthday card. The staff was pleasant and wonderful! The conceirge was very knowledgeable and his suggestions were on point for our meals. If and when I return to New Orleans, this would be a place for me to stay.
