Needed assistance with locating a product, was informed by an employee to "Google it". The 2nd employee asked ME what department the product (an oxy/acetylene kit) would be in.... I left shortly thereafter. Whatever happened to customer service??

Has fallen a long ways since their corporate shift. Apparently customer service no longer matters. Sad. They used to be an easy pick for #1. Now, not so much. Go if you know what you are looking for and where to find it.
Ok if you are a contractor. They have decent products and offer a contractor discount. Again, know what you want. Help is hard to find.

I would like to thank Home Depot for saving me $60...

I would like to thank Home Depot for saving me $60 today. They had NO tills open except for the self check outs which were all full to the point of myself and another person waiting in line. One employee covering all four self checkouts. When one came available the employee said she would be able to help me at the open spot. When I askes if she would be doing the transaction she said no she had to watch over the other spots, which I knew already, to which I then said nope I don't use these things because I WANT PEOPLE EMPLOYED! So thank you and I am sure your competitors will appreciate my business.

That said I know no one for the company gives two rats behinds about this comment but I assure you I will post this everywhere I can. Cheers.

I can't stand it when I go to the self serve tills...

I can't stand it when I go to the self serve tills and the staff jump all over me. I go to the self serve check out so that I can self serve and not be pestered about getting a card or making a donation.

Bought a Milwaukee M12 heated jacket and M12 batte...

Bought a Milwaukee M12 heated jacket and M12 battery and charger starter kit, got home and noticed the box was taped shut with scotch tape, upon opening the box, the bag the jacket was in was torn open already and tags were removed. The fact that this was clearly open box and sold as new is a bad business practice and deceitful. I did not know how many times this jacket was worn before it was returned and resold to me.

Showed up to pick up my order, customer service counter was already to go with it! I did some more shopping & was helped right away by a sales associate & the cashier was awesome in helping me get my purchase done ! Great New year !

The People: not very helpful staff. Asked a handful of employees that walked by for some help putting some drywall on a cart. Everyone I talked to was either they will get someone else to help me or they can't do it. Been standing here for about 20 min now and I've prolly helped more customers than the employees here.

Went to go pick up fence supplies yesterday and rent a van to transport supplies to the house. Rental attendant was helpful. When I was loading my supplies into the rental van I must have waited about 15 to 20 mins for help loading supplies. After waiting I told the cashier that I'll be outside loading the supplies. When the employee finally showed up he loaded 4 or 5 boards with me and then walked away without saying anything. Needless to say I went over the time limit for the van and had to pay a 10 dollar fee. I told the rental attendant about what had happened and he simply said you should've told us before so we could reset the time. I honestly hate coming to this place. I've been coming to this place for years and the only good visits I've had mostly are ones where I dont require the assistance of staff. Lowe's has more helpful staff and usually a lot easier to locate.

Just visited Home Depot today at 5:30pm. Waited in line to go inside. When I went to customer service to ask for help finding something, there were three employees there who ignored me. I started asking for help and one guy said he was helping another customer. The other two ladies said, just a minute and kept talking to each other. I gave up and went outside to the garden centre (since you can t get to the garden centre from the inside right now). The guy in the garden centre was very friendly and helpful and took me right to the staples that I was looking for. The girl at the checkout was also friendly and efficient. Two thumbs up for the garden centre. Two thumbs down for customer service .

Went to store to buy drill set which was on clearance. Computer showed 2 in stock but store associates could not locate it in the store. I was offered $100 off of regular prices in stock drill set without even asking. Never I have received such perfect customer service. Keep up the good work. I will be going to only this location going forward.

Ordered all my applainces there. I was given a delivery date in store and when they day came, they didnt contact me.. I contacted them and they said there is so deliveries today and had no idea when I would be getting my appliances. So now I'm stuck in my new house with no way to cook or store food. Awesome!

Shopped online then picked up my the order the next day. Went very smooth. Highly recommend that. Just dont order wood or trim online. No box store does that well at all. Do that yourself.

Good visit except Home Depot should do a better job securing building materials, namely western red cedar. Tiring driving to all the home depots in Edmonton to by the cedar products. Your a large company, throw some weight around for the consumer. Geez!

Bought a dewalt circular saw off the shelf in a box. Sister and dad went in to grab lumber for the bedroom I was about to start framing in my sister basement for niece so I asked them to grab me a reciprocating saw. Miscommunication and they grabbed a circular saw. I went to return the one I had grabbed, never removed from the box by me. Sat in my truck until returning to find out the serial number had been scratched off and it had been heavily used and had no blade in the box. They refused to take it back even though they obviously had once before which means I got screwed because someone didn't do their job before

We went to specifically to purchase 2 items. Outside lights for our garage and a 12ft skeleton.
We got the lights but sold out of skeletons. We asked if they were getting anymore, we were told no. We asked if we could purchase the display. The staff member said "No, we mighr be able to sell it closer to Halloween." You can sell it now this way you dont have to wait. Also people will be asking for. If you sell it to us. You wont have that issue, you know out of sight out of mind, He just goes no not selling it. And left.
My reaction was Wow he was a little rude. Unfortunately we wont be going to the South Common Home depot again.

Worst Home Depot I have ever been in; can't get any help from staff (they are all too busy and they will tell you that as you wait and wait and they finally show up) and if you are trying to sort out anything on clearance issues on items; you will be told two different stories as they have no idea what the store policies are and you will be told two totally different explanations as to why they can't do what the other person said they would do to End of story; don't waste your time here.

Worst quality lumber I ve ever purchased. 2 x2 x8? More like 2 x2 x2/3/3 period pieces merged together. Without fail every time I went to pick up a piece without gloves I got a splinter, drilling pilot holes didn t seem to have any effect on prevent splitting.

I will not buy a single piece of wood from this place ever again.

I rented a rototiller. When I started it, it wouldn't turn off, so I had to choke it out. I took it back because I didn't want that hassle. They still charged me for the basic 4 hours. When I rent equipment, I expect it to work normally.

Who ever that small brown guy with a bald head is, was condescending, and acts like he hates his job and all the customers. Today evening i visited South Common location to buy some paint for my store. and i wanted an specific paint's 5 gallon bucket. they didn't have it with them... So i politely asked that if i buy 5 cans of 1 gallon paint cans will you help me by giving it at the price of the 5 gallon bucket???

the associate "Lukose" or "Lukase" working in paints. He got feisty and started yelling at me that how & why would i give it to you at that price. there is no SKU # for that. which he was saying it very rudely, and said why would i make exceptions for you.

i said as a courtesy to a customer, for which he replied why would i do such a thing. if you want to buy the paint buy 5x 1gallon at the regular price.

We were able to find what we were looking for, had some minor help and enjoyed looking around at the Christmas decorations. We also had to return an item and it was fast and easy.
All in all, a good visit. Nice store.

Needed 300 boards to build my fence for the new house. The service desk ordered and shipped the wrong size. Well, it happens I guess. Now I had to go back to the store to get my own. Asked for help while loading the shopping cart. No one, I emphasize, NO one came! And I was only asking them to help me to get access to the boards under the metal shelves. Two employees were pacing around in the area as if no customers existed. Very disturbing service culture at this HD location.

Took a while, but found what I was looking for. The staff members who I interacted with were helpful. Wish it was a little easier to find things, thank goodness most staff know where things are in the store.

Seriously the best customer service EVER! When Samsung refused to back their product, after fighting with them for two years, I called Home Depot South Common where I purchased the Waterwall Dishwasher. The dishwasher was a lemon from the start. I spoke with Nicole (super pleasant and helpful) who connected me with Kevin Asselin, Specialty Assistant Store Manager. Kevin reached out to Samsung who again refused to deal with the issue and so....in the spirit of EXCEPTIONAL customer service, he issued a store credit for the full amount of the dishwasher! Upon attending the store to pick a new dishwasher and complete the sale, Sandy and Scherouza were amazing, knowledgeable, professional and super friendly. Truly an exceptional experience dealing with Home Depot Store #7065, South Common Home Depot! I wish I could say the same for Samsung. I am now a Home Depot South Common lifer!!

Very sitty customer service . Bought cement around 950 pm. They close at 10 and I understand . They won't open the big doors for me to take out my stuff which is closer to my vehicle . Then they turn off the lights. Then the manager comes and yells at me for asking them to open up the door. I have bought $100 000 's worth of stuff . I am a contractor .
Never go to the South common location unless if you like to be insulted by there staff.

Went to this location today to order custom closet doors. I had no idea there was a large variety as one location only gave me two options (white or mirrored) amazing service. Super knowledgeable.. Glen was the man who helped me order them. Just from listening the entire millwright department they are so helpful to people who call in (which is rare nowadays ) going forward I'm driving out to south common location anytime I require good advice for DIY renovations.

Absolutely horrible curbside and online ordering experience. Recieved notification item was ready for order. Waited 45 plus minutes for sales associate to bring item that was supposed to be ready to the truck. Waiting in the 50 person plus lineup, going in store, and paying would have been faster and easier.

If you have an afternoon to waste and want to be aggravated then choose this method. Otherwise don't waste your time with this store and the online ordering with Home Depot.

I have been waiting for my shed to be delivered for the past 3 weeks yet I get an email stating the order has been cancelled and is out of stock!!! Way to go Home Depot! Staff were friendly. Checking online before going is smart like any hardware store. They had what I needed. Price a bit high, but they do have to pay staff and at least they put effort into training them.

Went in to buy a BBQ for our new home and were originally sold a propane BBQ that could not be converted to gas, although we had explained to the Home Depot employee helping us that we Needed a convertible or gas BBQ. We even bought the specific conversion kit that he had recommended and headed home with our purchases.
Called the store back later that night, after realizing it was not convertible, with promises that it would be solved and the next day we showed up at the store and met with Kevin. He was a wonderfully helpful young man and understood our situation immediately and did everything in his power to make it right, including discounting the slightly higher-priced BBQ that we ended up having to buy! He even stayed to help us for a bit after his shift had technically ended! Super pleased with the way the South Common Home Depot team handled our situation.

Thank you Kevin and Home Depot for going above and beyond to ensure some Very happy customers!!
