Edmonton South Common Home Depot: "Where the customer is always wrong and we don't give a fudge!"
I just bought a house in the neighbourhood and found myself here often. While on average, the customer service was "ok," my latest experience in the appliances department was Terrible! There was a mix up with an appliance I bought. What I said I was buying and what the sales rep thought I was buying were two different things! I didn't find this out till delivery day, which I refused as it came off the truck. I ended up on the phone with the sales rep's Manager, who is the absolute worst! Without her gathering all of the facts, I was blamed for this mix-up because I didn't "review and verify" the receipt with the sales rep. Sorry, but after shopping around and narrowing it down to a single item, the responsibility is up to the sales rep to ensure its ordered correctly. Not only was I to blame for this mix-up, but I had to pay 15% for restocking fees..... The effing nerve!!! Here I was as a customer who forked over hard earned money to your store and you're going to tell me I owe more because your sales rep ordered the wrong appliance!?!?
As an end result, everything was resolved and I did receive the correct appliance with no extra charges... but only because I think the sales rep had a heart and genuinely felt bad.
Another part of this review.... Be cautious of the delivery company, Ovation. I was originally told by Home depot that I could alter my delivery time after it was initially setup.....Nope! I took time off work on both occasions to receive this.... After getting my 1 hr, automated Phone call heads up. The first wave of delivery guys were nice, as for the the second round... one guy was extremely rude and rushed!
