Waited 45 minutes for an associate to help me load a 250lb toolbox onto a cart for purchase, nobody bothered to help even after asking 3 different associates. Completely unacceptable service from this joke of a store

Good selection, not as good service. Hard to find anyone, maybe due to pandemic.

All the home depot goodness with all the home depot help.

Not very knowledgeable staff, no real experience in products they sell.

Given the viral crises we are experiencing this has been a calm, quiet and peacefull visit. Staff were taking precautions as you would expect but they were still most helpful.

I wish I remembered the name of the guy who helped me, but I was in the lumber department and couldn't find lattice that is more like a grid than the angled kind. He found them for us and got them down off the top rack and was great. Thank you!

In this South Edmonton Common store. There are great store, great staffs, great prices than other Home Depot stores in Edmonton area.

Purchased hardwood flooring from Home Depot. Had to go to every location to pick up the rest that was in the city. All Home Depots except this location gave me 20 percent off as this was a clearance item and the last of the stock. This location did not price match at all and were very rude about it! I now have to go to red deer as they will honor the price and return it to this location. Worst experience ever!

Horrible customer service. What would it take for someone to call me back?! I spent $25,000 over the course of three months. Cecelia was the first person to call me back (really nice lady). Other than that, no one has called me. The only thing worse than no one calling you back, is someone saying they will call you and not doing it. After one month still no working dishwasher. I understand things happen that are out of your control, and I can deal with that, but when you tell someone you are going to call them back.......call them back!!!!! Although Cecelia in appliances has not figured out my problem yet, I thank her for calling me back. As for the other 5 people, yes 5 people that did not call me back, this is extremely irritating.

Edmonton South Common Home Depot: "Where the customer is always wrong and we don't give a fudge!"

I just bought a house in the neighbourhood and found myself here often. While on average, the customer service was "ok," my latest experience in the appliances department was Terrible! There was a mix up with an appliance I bought. What I said I was buying and what the sales rep thought I was buying were two different things! I didn't find this out till delivery day, which I refused as it came off the truck. I ended up on the phone with the sales rep's Manager, who is the absolute worst! Without her gathering all of the facts, I was blamed for this mix-up because I didn't "review and verify" the receipt with the sales rep. Sorry, but after shopping around and narrowing it down to a single item, the responsibility is up to the sales rep to ensure its ordered correctly. Not only was I to blame for this mix-up, but I had to pay 15% for restocking fees..... The effing nerve!!! Here I was as a customer who forked over hard earned money to your store and you're going to tell me I owe more because your sales rep ordered the wrong appliance!?!?

As an end result, everything was resolved and I did receive the correct appliance with no extra charges... but only because I think the sales rep had a heart and genuinely felt bad.

Another part of this review.... Be cautious of the delivery company, Ovation. I was originally told by Home depot that I could alter my delivery time after it was initially setup.....Nope! I took time off work on both occasions to receive this.... After getting my 1 hr, automated Phone call heads up. The first wave of delivery guys were nice, as for the the second round... one guy was extremely rude and rushed!

The absolute worst service I ve ever had at Home Depot came from this store, DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!! All the staff and managers are rude and have no idea about anything. Wouldn t recommend this homedepot to anybody.

Wait times are longer and store is chaotic. Although Francois is truly an asset to this company. He is very knowledgable. He is extremely helpful and goes above and beyond.

Very well organized store and there was plenty of staff available if help is needed.

Usually has everything you need in stock. Staff, when you can find someone, are generally knowledgeable!

Looking for a specific Milwaukee tool and a specific Ryobi tool. Both were not carried by this HD.

This is the largest home depot in Edmonton with very big selection, staff is very courteous although it gets very busy on weekend. Garden centre is very good with decent prices.

Good customer service, I was approached by at least three staff members asking if I needed any help.

The old guy in Hardware needs to learn how to talk to people. (Saturday evening)

If he worked at my store, I'd write him up.

I bought an Ego power blower last year. The battery died and the blower still under the Ego warranty. I tried for about a week to contact Ego, but it was total waste of time. HomeDepot contact the supplier and changed the battery for me. Shout out to Sandra and the other older fellow

Good Home Depot location. Can get pretty busy, but not terrible.

Big box home improvement store. Has most things you need.. price is easily beaten at most industry supply stores, just more convenient here as all under one roof. Screws are way expensive however, definitely worth the drive elsewhere!

I would like to give a higher rating since I have used this location so often, but I have been more often frustrated by the lack of staff who will even make eye contact with you. I have never had good advice, never had a staff member show me where something is. They just mumble something about 'aisle whatever' and half the time they are wrong. Even so, Home Depot does carry a lot of quality stuff. Steer clear of the HDX line of products, just spend a little more on a name brand that'll work.

On my visit today it seems that staffing levels had increased, and I was approached by a staff member offering help. He knew where to find items and was polite.

Extremely happy with extraordinary customer service by AUSTIN also impressed with the product knowledge he has.

I got what I needed to build a deck and left. Some of the isles have no identification. Not one single employee said HI or offered any help. I drove my truck to the loading area and no one helped me load all of my lumber. I had my 3 small kids with me. I saw the loading guys helping the other men with their lumber yet when I pulled up the 3 door guys offered zero help. They were more concerned with counting people in line and talking on their radios. The one guy named Malakai or something like that (very tall) just watched as I struggled to load and fit the lumber piece by piece into my truck. Then when I went to put a flag on the back there were no staples for their staple gun so I found a couple scattered around the loading dock and loaded the staple gun and flagged my stuff myself. I've never felt so "not worthy" before. The store itself was clean and well stocked. Cashier was quick and friendly but it was impossible to get any help from anyone...

I wish there were more staff around to help with questions!

08/2019 At Home Depot, in store shopping is being switched to online but transitional strategy seems all at sea. At Edmonton South Commons location, service is superb in specialised pocket, such as Fred in flooring. This man really knows his business. Others, not so much.

This place gets two stars for the simple fact that the customer service is terrible and the staff are very slow and honestly it seems as though they hate being there lol. My girlfriend actually went behind the counter and looked up an item online while the actual "worker" stood behind and watched because she didnt know how. Then the "worker" walked away to try and help someone else. Just a brutal experience. I try to avoid this location unless there is no other option. Not sure about the other locations but surely they cant be as bad as this one.

Friendly and helpful staff. Low stock on some milwaukee tools. But I can't complain.

Home depot always has a great selection but I had a hard time finding a staff member who was able to help me out the last time I was in. I ended up waiting about 15 minutes for someone who could help me get some material from the back wall. The store is clean and organized though, and the staff who I spoke with were generally friendly

A lot of the staff in each department are pretty clueless of what they're trying to sell,
lumber is on a major shortage which is not their fault but they could put the update the website and say that they don't have it in stock instead of saying they have 450 in stock when they actually have zero

Good selection of shelf brackets for my garage. Great selection on casters. Prices were ok. One item I found that I liked had no price or label on it.

Mixed the wrong paint at this location, was on the north end before realizing that, and apparently you can't return paint to a different store; they made me go all the way across the City back to this location to fix their mistake.

If you looking match price its not right place. Today wasted 3 hours. Lowes is best for wood

Place was busy like usual, after waiting 10 mts I was helped by Oshane. Dealing with such a friendly guy who was obviously trying his best made the previous wait...no big deal! Thanks again Oshane!

They had experts from manufatures there to answer and assist with my tool purchase.

Terrible experienced at Home Depot South Common. Today I went at 8 PM to find out a replacement for my leaking kitchen faucet. I found out what I need it but want to double check with the associate before purchasing. An Associate was standing in a plumbing aisle and helping a customer. I waited for my turn and then associate pickup a call. I didn't mind and wait for my turn. I saw he hangup a phone and I approached him but he was rude and said I am still on the call and shaked his head. Then he walked to the another aisle while I am still waiting. I again approached and ask him if he get a time now for me. He sounds terrible and said "OK" and I tried to explain my situation. He literally didn't listen me and gave me something which is not even closed to my situation. I asked him to let me explain my issue but he told me he is in hurry and I said okay "Thanks" I don't need your help. He again made a bad face shake his head and walked away.

I like the location it has alot to offer but is not the best location to go to on a weekend. Definate chaos getting out of south common area

Horrible delivery service. Asked for curbside delivery for drywall but ended up delivering to a whole different neighborhood, we called them to confirm the address but they failed to put the SW in their GPS EVEN WHEN WE SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM TO. Had to get a U-Haul to pick up the drywall to our house.

I bought a combo mower from them and it was missing a part. I called to know if I should bring in the whole combo or just the equipment with the missing part. The operator said I should bring only the equipment missing part. Only to get here and they told me I had to bring the whole package. And the lady that attended to was not even sympathetic to my plight. I don't recommend. Terrible customer service.

Im redoing some flooring in my house, including tile. I had Home Depot come and measure and quote. The guy from their contracted company came and was very professional, answered all of my questions, and let me know that the total sq ft area of tile that I am wanting done is 360 sq ft. I received the quote. The total material cost was under $1800 (not crazy) but the total quote was $17,787!!!! They want to charge over $15k for labour to tile 360 sq ft. I even called to confirm that this quote wasn't a mistake or something, nope it's not.
Don't waste your time with this quote. I have now talked other companies that laughed out loud when I told them what home depot quoted. I was planning to get all of my flooring from Home Depot but now I am looking elsewhere.

Couldn't find what I was looking for, no one to help, I left without the product I went to purchase.

Had a gentleman named Dee help me out in the hardware section, tremendous knowledge and expertise. He represents that establishment well.
