We have been going there since it opened in 1994. great restaurants friendly staff, on top of railway station, next to city centre.
I was spending a good time in the casino until a security person named ANDREW asked me to leave saying that I was too drunk. I wasn't at all, just tipsy and always respectful to others. Because we weren't understanding the situation my (white) friends asked the security guy again, and he told them it was because of my clothes, but they didn't asked my friends maybe more tipsy than me to leave the casino. For information, I am French, Indian looking and I was wearing working clothe as I came to Adelaide for a conference.
My friends and I are really shocked and sad about how racism can still occur nowadays.
Even if the casino is nice, if it's surrounded by a racist security team, you should better go to another place. Hope my comment won't be erased.
People were friendly.food was great.a safe and clean place to visit.Making everyone welcome for New Years Eve.Safest place in Sth Aust.
Used to be a classy place with high end restaurants and dress code. Lately has been renovated, dining places are no longer the same, and inside casino there are people who are not dressed up tidy. Not recommended.
Good place for travelers
Poison for international students and Warhol
Seems to have worse odds than the pokies in pubs!!!
Who ever designed the new setup should be shot. This place is terrible now. My local RSL is better
10 bucks for a light beer
I think a bit expensive, but i would have blown it on the roulette table anyway
Small compared to many other casinos. Biggest complaint is someone with an international license can't get in which can really ruin a spontaneous night. Shame on you guys.
Hadn't been there for a while and was pleasantly surprised. Good priced drinks. Helpful, friendly staff and plenty of things to do. Went during the ashes test so atmosphere was great with plenty of people enjoying themselves.
Great place to be in Adelaide of you want some good fun and are not afraid to lose some money. If there a visit to Chandelier Bar is a must, courteous staff and great cocktails with some very flamboyant spirit collection on display.
One and only casino from SA. Best place for hangouts and gaming.
Plenty of machines to choose from. Take a fresh air at nearby river.
Casino too small compared with Perth Casino. Hope they will upgrade to bigger Casino soon.
Very reasonable drink prices especially if you sign up for their free rewards program where you get 10% off all drinks and food.
Geez, this place has changed & not for the better. It used to have so much style, a buzz & a bit of class, now a distant memory. It felt like a rabbit warren trying to find an eatery for a nice lunch. This casino certainly has a different ambience now, it's more clinical & not inviting, the staff do not appear remotely interested except for the chirpy doorman. I have to acknowlege the food was quite good & also good value. I was impressed with a particular bar on the ground floor that gave the illusion of a massive chandelier, they got one thing right. Perhaps the atmosphere changes during the evening, with more colour, lights & some life elicited from a very stoic environment. I'm truly buggered if I know why people actually bother coming here, this place is in dire need of some warmth & smiling faces, commencing with the staff. It's worth a look, then make up your own mind, but it didn't do it for me. Cheers.
Cheap and nasty food, great coffee and beers though.
If I can give no star at Barossa I will. Very poor customer service as you should greet your customer with 'how are you & how can I help you' not 'yes not even a smile'. Casino stardand has dropped badly.
Very hard to find the entrance and unimpressed once inside. Not as good as a big RSL in Sydney and very limited choice of food.
Can't win or get money back spent $120 no return
Unorganized .confusing to get around with all the renovations .there was a strong air freshener in one area which I couldn't stay in was burning my throat
The renovations have suddenly lifted Sky City's profile. Lucky Noodles restaurant was excellent.
Huge casino with ALL of the games. Managed to watch live Premier League football here too at 4am
They need more poker stations...specially the computerised stations. Also...not much e tertainment offered. They used to have a dance floor upstairs which offered some entertainment but was later closed.
Really nice, went in to have lunch and a try on the pokies.
Meal was awesome, but the pokies have a small problem ( which may have been addressed by now), there was no way to reserve a machine past 3 minutes, which is not enough time for a bathroom break, or for a smoke, and certainly no where long enough to go buy a drink.
Other than that, it was fantastic.
Just visited. Don't bet and play, you lose. Gambling is not good financially.
Shame people who are dressed "like" homeless people are allowed into the casino due to no dress code!!!
Exciting venue! Looks of new work happening also, hotel looks amazing!
Its the only Casino is Adelaide I believe so its alright. Its not a big casino but for time pass it OK! If you want to go make sure go at night which is obvious.
Spacious enough however most areas still need a face lift, car parking is one of the biggest issues and something needs to be done to improve it. Other than that the are your usual games available and several places to eat whilst inside.
Lovely staff got me a drink after I missed my train. I really enjoyed my 30 minutes in there, it was comforting being in a big ole building full of bars and cool casino business going on. They were also very approachable and pointed me to the upstairs area where I found the poker tables and had a good time watching the games. Definitely going back next weekend to check out the rest of the bars in there.
Very hot in the Oasis bar but great band Lucky Seven. John and Deb.
Was very interesting except no heated smoking area,
Sol bar was amazing! It has the best views of Adelaide that I have ever seen and a great selection of drinks. Definitely worth a visit! I'll be going back
This place is slither of its former self. No atmosphere whatsoever. 10 years ago multiple bars would be packed with live music. There is not a single smiling face in the place
Not a fan of casinos, but they impressed this Roosters fan for a home away from home NRL game.
Very poor. Keg run out twice in grandstand bar while it was happy hour. Really do care what we say.. No.
Absolute shocked got refused entry.
I m a diamond member, Walked into the casino with my partner no problems, looking to have a good time have a few drinks and have a bet.
10 minutes later I walked outside the casino to get some food because I couldn t find any food places inside the casino.
Security named Belinda (S39748) refused my re entry due to me being in her words being in to intoxicated . I was shocked hearing this even though I walked across the road to get some food.
I think your security need to be trained better to decide who is drunk and who isn t. I noticed a few drunk people getting let inside but not myself who was inside 15 minutes earlier.
Because of my really bad experience with Belinda refusing my re-entry, I will not be returning back to the casino. This has left me feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed and targeted because I m a male.
As I was standing there outside, she let other people looking intoxicated inside the establishment while she smiled at me refusing my entry.
Classy place. Very busy but very roomy & very well organized. Professional staff.
Needs improvement the sports bar is a winner not much else going for it
Husband first time at Casino, he enjoyed the black jack and casinos cocktail bar
The chicken Parma was the worst that I have ever had in my life.. what a joke.
Built inside an historic building it is worth visiting just to walk through. The newly refurbished buffet restaurant is really worth checking out.
What can I say had a great meal in the barossa bar and a great win on the pokies was a great night
Only casino in the world where you have to buy soft drink. $ 5.00 a can.
I only was there for 20 minutes played one game using twenty dollar's won one hundred and twenty dollar's and ran out with the money .loved it
