Checkin took quite an unusual time. Overall good quality and great location near Victoria station. Very quiet and great sleep quality.

Room I was in was showing it's age. Bed not comfy. Friendly staff, good location and great architecture.
Fantastic hotel with comfy rooms, lovely staff and great English breakfasts. While the price is quite high, the value of service and its central location somehow justify it.
A beautiful Hotel, old vs new but I liked it! Room was lovely .... a bath and a shower! Happy girl! But no bath salts???? Why oh why, Just the little details make such a difference! Sadly the sofa bed had lost its spring so dipped in the middle, pointless to sit on it! Breakfast wasn t all that great if I m really honest but didn t put a damper on my stay. Also why isn t there Prosecco in the Executive Suite ?
The room is quite small if you choose the most basic. The hotel is somewhat expensive but is conveniently located next to Victoria station
Employees very nice, kind and willing to help. Fantastic.
Huge and very comfortable bed.
The bacon and breakfast eggs, delicious!
The elevator slow (it's normal!) But it gives opportunity to meet people!
Nice hotel, great location foyer is suburb, breakfast 1st class. Our first 2 nights were great, really would have got a 5 star rating, however when we got back from our bus trip and stayed the third night, the receptionist said we had room 414 which is a great room to get. When then asked could you please call our airport transfer company to ask them to pick us up the next day. At this she looked very unhappy when we said our tour bus and agency said you would do this for us. After the call, she said here is your key for 266, the wing section and you just carry your bag up one set off stairs. What happened is as a result of our request we were given not just the worst room with the worse train announces for our $360 or $1000 plus for the 3 nights, we also got to carry up our own bags and made to feel like it was our fault for it. So its now 2 stars!!
Works for me. I'd stay here again. Quiets down at night. Even when facing Victoria.
Being from New Jersey and used to accommodations in the states, I was impressed beyond belief. The other couple we stayed with asked for a larger room and received it. We even got a belt from their head security when my friend broke his!
Excellent very elegant hotel. Perfect location to get from gatwick and move around the city with every transport a few meters away. Staff available and Italian speaking. Very comfortable bed and clean room every day with tea making facilities available. Quiet area with lots of pubs to eat good fish and chips. Recommended!
Very nice and clean hotel. Many excursions can be reached on foot. Friendly staff. Gladly again.
Typical touristy hotel. Gorgeous, historic building that's unfortunately tainted by outdated and unhygienic rooms + facilities. We had to call room service multiple times for clean pillows (ours had blood or dirt stains) and there were hair throughout our linens. Our CC was charged 250% of the cost of our stay (luckily our CC company preemptively declined it) but when confronting the front desk, they had no explanation as to why nor gave any apology. Our sink would not drain for the duration of our stay and we had to brush our teeth in the shower. There was only instant coffee provided, not even a basic machine. The exception was the friendly staff at the luggage check and front door - they were extremely kind. I would recommend visiting the hotel for a few hours during the day for a quick visit and afternoon tea, but not an overnight or extended stay.
Fruit flies everywhere, poor service, charged for one extra drink and argumentative staff unwilling to help or refund the extra costs. Very unhappy and poor experience.
Fantastic hotel with great value for money. Adjacent to Victoria station.
Good hotel and hospitality. Central London. And good restaurants (chinees)
The room was nice and the staff super friendly. Had to wait past check in time for my room which is a drag when you just traveled 10 hours. Had a deluxe room and it was very nice and beds super comfortable and for me that is a huge statement. Bar staff at times seemed sluggish. Proximity is about as good as it gets with Tube access within the hotel.
Used to be nice during the nineties... let s see what the refurbishment brings about.
Hello I am delighted with the stay in this hotel warm welcome geographically well located and staff more than friendly
Very central location but quite pricey. All the staff is very attentive. Normal double rooms are pretty small but deluxe doubles are quite spacious if you are willing to pay more or join their loyalty program..
Nice location at a very old hotel of London. Very pricey though.
Great, and very good soundproofing. The location near victoria station is a positive point.
Stayed here whilst on a training course in London. Great location (literally next to Victoria station), Buckingham Palace 10 minutes walk, Hyde park 20 mins away, Oxford Street 30 mins walking distance). Entrance was quite grand, staff very polite. I stayed in a business accommodation room. Had all you needed. Areas of improvement would be secure WiFi, better TV signal in room (picture grainy) and more choice in Grosvenor arms restaurant. All in all, a pleasant stay.
Refurnished rooms in the tower are nice. Make sure to not end up in one of the old rooms: absolute nightmare. Pricy but located just in the center with direct access to Victoria station.
Located next to Victoria mainline station the Grosvenor Hotel is ideally situated for visiting London. The rooms were of a high standard and a reasonable size and my room had a seperate lounge area with tv. All of the staff encountered were polite and friendly during my duration.I would not hesitate in returning to this lovely hotel.
Nice Italian waiters - Roberto is excellent. Sadly the property is undergoing renovations and hopefully will be back to its glory in a few months. Does not have a good selection of beers which is a let down. Previously they had a good selection of beers and wines. Perhaps once the work is over we might see the other side of the wine list!
Top class great staff great rooms and great grub and cocktails 5
We stayed in Edinburgh, Lake District, Yorkshire and then London. The Grosvenor was our least favourite hotel.
Arrived at 4pm but had to wait almost an hour for our room, this killed our immediate plans.
Room is in need of an update, shower very poor, weird card/electricity device, only one chair, definitely not a four star hotel.
We did not try the restaurant. The Executive Lounge was meh.
Not the greatest hotel for value for money.
Staff were nice but i think overrun due to staff shortage.
Next time we are in London we will not stay here, although it is a great location.
Handy place for just drinks or pub style meals. Slow service, no good if you are rushing for a train (hotel has exit onto Victoria station forecourt).
An open letter to the most diabolical hotel we have ever stepped foot in:
My partner and I stayed at the Grosvenor Victoria for our anniversary on the 15th of December 2018.
The room was booked under my partner's name.
We encountered numerous issues during our stay including:
- Being given the room key to someone else's room while they were in it.
- Our security deposit was also allocated to the wrong room.
- When reporting this to a member of staff, she briskly disciplined the responsible person in front of us, calling her incompetent repeatedly and causing us to feel uncomfortable for bringing up the blatant error. She also asked to write our full card details down on a piece of paper to "trace the payment" (as both of us work in the financial industry it is completely ludicrous that she asked for this information). We felt as if our personal belongings were unsafe from this point onwards.
- We were again given an unsuitable room key and were therefore unable to access our room for a second time. We had to go back downstairs again, and this time she accompanied us with another key that finally worked.
At this point she apologised profusely and advised she would "do something" for us. She then left and we did not hear from her again regarding a resolution to this massive waste of our time.
- Checking in took us over 30 minutes which in turn made us late for pre-booked reservations.
- The "deluxe" room we stayed in was completely covered in dust, the shower was overflowing and the bathroom was filthy. The dust became apparent when the sun shone through the window in the morning and we were horrified knowing we had slept in a room that had quite clearly not been cleaned.
- The "ornamental" television in our room was scratched and almost completely unusable - with the generous three channels we could actually tune into, the signal was so awful we could barely see an image let alone watch the morning news.
- When we mentioned the issues above upon checking out, we were merely offered a cream tea as compensation. We were told that a refund could not be issued. My partner stated that this was unacceptable and after three further insulting offers, we were eventually offered half of what we had paid back, in a rather frantic phone call from a member of staff hours later. This was on the 16th of December and since then we have not had any correspondence or received a refund. We were unhappy with this offer but this was apparently all that could be done.
Upon calling to ask for an email address to submit a formal complaint to, I was given a non-existent email address, presumably as a decoy.
I was informed by one of the duty managers that the booking website should have refunded us - we were not advised of this at the time and were instead told that this refund would be issued immediately.
As this issue lies with the company and not the booking agent, I would like to request that Guoman contacts them to chase this up as I will not accept this company pushing the responsibility onto the booking agency and thus lengthening this already strenuous process.
To reiterate... At present we have STILL not received our refund!
Our weekend was ruined by this horrific experience and at this point we are seeking full reimbursement for this stay. I find the lack of care from any members of staff completely unacceptable and I will never recommend this place.
For the record, I have given the company three chances from the point of our check out to rectify their mistakes to no avail and have been left no other choice than to leave reviews all over the internet to warn potential customers to never visit this horrifically managed place.
Had a lovely overnight stay. Room was really cosy and the breakfast was delicious. All staff were really helpful and friendly. No complaints
I am not impressed at all. I had a 2 night stay and yes I had a (small) double room and in general the interior was good. However, there was no hairdryer for example. Also I wasn't in the main building, which meand I had a 5min walk to get to my room, but there is more. The TV programme claimed to stream around 30+ channels. But in fact, many of them are not available. So I called the concierge who promised to take care of it immediately. Absolutely nothing happened though. No fix, no feedback, no show... absolutely no action. So on the one hand there is an issue, on the second there is a promise, and on the third there is zero action.
This is bad for a hotel of that (claimed) level.
Also the TV quality in general is super bad and doesn't qualify for 4+ stars.
Is it ok to stay here? Yes. Is it great? By no means...
We had a very enjoyable late evening tea. Delicious scones, friendly staff. Beautifully decorated
The original old part of the hotel - and especially its lobby - is a great 19th century European architecture. Extensive part of a normal London hotel - small rooms.
We had our Christmas Party here, and we were looked after marvellously. Food was great, service was great. Would sincerely recommend!
The Grosvenor is what I would call "bracingly expensive", and looks the part. A refurbished railway hotel, it is conveniently located right on the corner of Victoria Station. The main entrance is easy to miss, as it is up the block a ways; at the corner is the Grand Imperial restaurant. Although in an old building, my room was very well fitted with practical, modern affordances, well-installed with very few visible wires. All the surfaces were finished in quality materials, clean, and in good repair. Not over-the-top opulent, just your typical higher-end city-center hotel.
Beautiful!!! And the staff were Amazing!!! Will definitely stay here again!!!
Google opinion rewards made me post this ;) still a awesome hotel.
Hotel food and staff are great, the room I stayed in required renovation due to wear. There were also only 5 TV channels which were fuzzy which reception said I would have to change to an updated room to fix although they said there not many of those new rooms available.
Lovely old-time stylish hotel with modern rooms. Personal and very friendly service from the nice staff. Will definitely come back!
Inconvenient, stuffy, and middling in terms of quality. I've done afternoon teas at least six times now in London. This place would rate at the bottom of all the places. The environment is quite nice, but it was baking inside the room and the tables were very uncomfortable. For the price of a afternoon tea in this area, I expect to at least be comfortable. Definitely will not be back.
Historical hotel where all is done to make your stay perfect. Very professional staff.
Location is pretty good, very close to Buckingham palace. The rooms are what you would expect in a European hotel. I do think they are nicer than most I've stayed in. Our room was small but that's expected. Our AC worked great and the breakfast was probably the best I'd ever had in a European hotel.
Cannot complain about anything with the event I attended. Staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. Organisation was spot on.... Food was very nice.
This hotel is very quaint and centrally located. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would love to stay here again.
I am not one for reviews, but this hotel experience has been worth writing about. Using Orbitz, I got a rate that blew my mind, but that didn't bother reception; they still asked what I wanted in a room, and gave me the quietest room I could imagine in the center of London. The renovation is spectacular, the staff polite and helpful and the rooms are beautiful.
In general, one of the great failings in most hotels except the very best is bath towels. The Grovesnor provides one that rivals the bath sheet I use at home -- and it's on a heated rack!
Stunning hotel, great service, and room, central location directly on Victoria Station so perfect for travelling around London.
Great place for a coffee; as soon as you enter the lobby you get transported to a different world away from the busy life around Victoria
Having previously enjoyed an excellent lunch at The Brasserie in November last. I arranged to treat my sister to day out in London and lunch at The Brasserie at The Grosvenor, We travelled 100 miles to London on Friday last March 14th for More
Its an odd little surprise to find a decent place basically in Victoria station.
BAD customer service and small rooms!!!!
I am extremely disappointed with the customer service of this hotel.
When I checked in, the receptionist didn't know where all confused with the booking and didn't know what was going on. It took around 15 min to check in. Please note it happened to my colleagues who stayed at the hotel too.
Then I checked out none of the receptionist knew how to issue a receipt, I was only given a simple piece of paper which didn't look like a receipt. then I found out that I have been charged for breakfast when I didn't have it. I contacted the hotel and asked for refund and I was told that they will get back to me, but nobody contacted me.
I sent 3 emails and called again but still the hotel never got back to me.
Do not stay in this hotel, unless you want to get additional charges in your credit card (for services you haven't received) after you have checked in.
Be aware they do not issue an invoice you can use to claim expenses.
Rooms are very small and outdated!!!
Great hotel, a 5 star service indeed.
Lovely staff, very happy and professional, always prompt to cover all your request and make your stay unforgettable, lovley room very classy, clean and tidy.
Highly recommend to visit.
Fabulous hotel which can be accessed from Victoria Station, great venue for workshops, staff were very friendly and the food was good.
My favourite part of the hotel used to be the cocktail bar but recently while the prices increase the service goes down. These days you're better to serve yourself rather than wait for the achingly slow bar staff. A real disappointment to see a good place go bad
Loved this place clean with great proximity to everything.
Met up with business colleagues in The Grosvenor Arms for teas, coffees, club sandwich. All very good, very pleasant service, thank you.
The staff were very accommodating and took care of us from start to finish. The room was brilliant and had all the amenities that you would expect and more. My only gripe was the outside noise. The traffic was loud and the secondary glazing was not up to par. I guess that's probably down to the listed building. But overall, the hotel was a very pleasant stay and the staff amazing.
Incredible hotel with great staff and phenomenal location.we flew into Gatwick so all we had to do was take the express and Get off at Victoria. Really nice lounge with free food and drinks.
We had a very nice time at the Grosvenor during our trip to London. It was situated in a very convenient part of the city, making nearly all of our trips walkable adventures! The staff were superb and accommodated all our requests, including desperate late-night pizza (despite their kitchen being closed already) and a bucket of ice brought to our room. They learned we were honeymooning and also surprised us with chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne! The only critique we had was that the room was very very small. Of course, this was understandable given the location but it did lend a cramped feeling to the accommodations.
