I go there quite often because it s within the company s policy, but I find the quality of the rooms to be very irregular. Some rooms are great other are terrible. Some rooms are quiet other are noisy.

We just spent 4 nights at the Grosvenor Hotel, very unimpressed. The lobby was the best part of the hotel. Room was tiny! Hot and stuffy! The desk staff was rude and very unhelpful! Asked them for directions and they had no idea. They cost us about $30 on a cab to catch a bus that we could have caught right outside the hotel! The walk to our room was very long. Breakfast was ok. WI-Fi did not work well at all. Very expensive! Would not recommend!!!

An excellent wedding banquet in the restaurant, 11 courses of masterly Chinese cooking and ingredients (lobster, pork, abalone) and then a totally fail sweet bean thing that nobody trusted to eat. Fun and spirited staff.

The Governor is a truly beautiful hotel that is set in the heart of London . The rooms are very clean , spacious and modern with great city views. The restaurants are equally lovely and serve a wide range of quality food.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and the staff were superb room was spacious and well appointed and the bed was huge and comfortable. Tea and coffee plus mini fridge iron and ironing board are supplied in the room and the ability to enter the hotel direct from Victoria Station is genius. Only grumble was the noise from the station refurbishment at 5.30am so would advise ear plugs if you've got them however not really the hotel fault. Will definitely stop again

The Grosvenor Hotel on Buckingham Palace Road was a great location to walk everywhere and if required, the hop-on (stop #1), was just across the road. Four nights and the staff sure treated as well. When we booked, we didn't know we had full access to the executive lounge and this was a wonderful key element to our comfortable stay, for the 3 of us. This hotel is definitely at the top of my google list of "Best Places Ever Stayed >3 Nights". Thanks and we will absolutely return for another stay .....

Rooms were okay for price point. Breakfast is the only upside to this place honestly. Customer service is sub par and They will nickel and dime you when they can (1 pound per minute for local phone call). Tried to have the concierge make a reservation due to phone call pricing but was unwilling. DO NOT RECCOMEND.

The hotel is gorgeous, well located, and the staff was very helpful. We had a bit of trouble getting the thermostat to do what we wanted (our room was too hot, whole family members down the hall were too cold), but checking in was smooth. The only real complaints we're that the hotel is oddly designed, and one of the lifts was down, so movement from place to place was a little awkward, and actually caused us to be late getting out for an event. The bar staff was exceptionally slow, seemingly disinterested. If I ever stay there again, I'll walk down the street for a drink. Three or four stars, depending on what you choose to focus on.

Amazing location, connected to the Victoria tube station. The hotel is great in general, however they re currently undergoing a facelift and therefore you can expect a lot of noises early in the morning. Does feel like the facelift however was necessary as the hotel interior was quite dated and even the televisions are very old. The front desks staff feels like they re lack of training with regards to communication, as they aren t very warm. I do however enjoy the breakfast/room services.

Very nice Victorian hotel. The location is ideal for visiting London. Furniture a bit dated in the rooms that would need a refresh (except the bedding great). No French TV channel. Good breakfast. The 5 stars are for the wonderful staff. Especially Szofia and Corinna.

I like this hotel because it smells old England. It is beautiful, very English, yet with a good standard. One downside is that some rooms are tiny and/or located over the street or the railway station, thus noisy.

High quality hotel low quality service

Really Grosvenor....I understand you are refurbishing one of the bars but the other is dire. Service is failing. 1hr for a club sandwich? You weren't even busy. Table service only happens when you go to the bar to order. Having to ask 4 times - 4 times for a bill when you have 3 staff chatting at a till?
Even after I said I was in a rush. I've stayed with you a few times but this will in all honesty probably be the last.

We had a wonderful stay at The Grosvenor Hotel. We stayed in an Executive Double and the room was excellent and the Executive lounge was a real treat - it really made our stay special. The room was extremely comfortable, well equipped and everything was of a really high standard. Housekeeping was excellent and we really appreciated the little treats we found when we got back in the evening. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel to anyone looking for a quality place to stay in central London.

Well tonight I had the worst experience of my life...

Well tonight I had the worst experience of my life. While me and my friend were looking for hotels somebody suggested us this hotel.
And as we entered the hotel there was no one at the reception except a girl and a guy who were talking to eachother. So we waited for like 10 minutes near the door but then as we came from Milton Keynes and we had heavy luggage with us we were so tired and in a rush to use the rest room as we were approaching suddenly a man approached and rudely said to us hello where are you going and as I had no clue about it that who is he i said we want to use the rest room to which he said you will get me into trouble?? Like are you serious?
How can we get you in trouble and on that very moment we decided not to talk to him further my friend asked why cant we use the rest room he said the lady is cleaning them.
I just cnt sum it up that what type of manager was he if he was the manager why wasnt he there at the reception and why it took him 10 minutes to show up?
I am never gonna visit this hotel in my entire life and a least you can do is to train him well on some communication skills and some manners. He was completly rude and had a very stern and unapproachable personality. It was 2:00 AM in the morning, we wanted to had a good stay in Central London but this man's attitude has spoiled it all and will remember it and wont recomend it to anyone.

Old hotel near Buckingham palace and park. It offers very good service and the rooms are clean but not big. It is a little inconvenient that the internal structure is rather complicated and it is not easy to find a room. The hotel buffet is very good. It is a British food, but ^^ It is okay to go to the Buckingham Palace - Central Park - British Museum after checking out and going to the airplane before luggage storage in the concierge.

Quaint hotel and service is great. I arrived early and luckily there was a room for me. Kristina who checked me in was very helpful and pleasant. They have a small but well-equipped gym. Breakfast is well catered for. The rooms are decent except for the pillows that were definitely not comfy and can cause a stiff neck. The location is great, next time Victoria Station and tourist sites.

What makes this hotel is the location. (Also has to do with the price..) this hotel is located a few blocks from the bus station, the underground station, and you can walk to Buckingham palace. If you're like us and come in off an overnight flight, they will hold your luggage for you at the desk until time to check in. The room is small, but it was fine for us because we just wanted a clean place to sleep.

This is a venue that makes you feel like a liability for asking to be served s drink. After an age sat down I went to stand by the till to try to catch a server.

Dirty table, lots of spillage and food crumbs. Drink was eventually plonked down and when I asked to pay a bill was also just plonked down with service charge 12.5% added. 50p to wait for a beer and sit at a dirty table served by staff who seem to not have please and thank you in their vocabulary.

There are other and better options now GrossVenor, start treating people better if you want to remain open.

Edited to upgrade rating Oct 2019. I would have given 5+ stars but didn't want a room to be unavailable next time I visit London. Kudos to Ms Hajer for her extra check in assistance. 1) Take the train from the AP 2) Location is central to different public transportation options. 3) The breakfast buffet was convenient except for the long walk from our room. Recommend eating breakfast at the hotel to get an early start for the day. Food was good. 4) Good staff but want to give a top level shout out to Ms Hajer. She was so very helpful to two tried tired travelers looking to make special dinner reservations for our wedding anniversary and my birthday. Hajer was key to making it special.

Decent hotel due to convenient location - but not very good value for money. The rooms were large but very cold (no matter how you changed the setting - this was not only in my room but my parents as well). Duvets were quite thin which would not have been a problem if it weren t for the heating setting. The cleaning was good and the bathroom was nice and spacious. The hotel breakfast is a waste of money - only things you can by in a small corner shop down the road. So look elsewhere for breakfast. Next time I ll go for the travel lodge across the road.

The Grosvenor on the outside is a very well-to-do...

The Grosvenor on the outside is a very well-to-do hotel, giving off an air of quality. However the Grosvenor Brasseire is one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to, both for quality of food and value for money. We started off trying to order a Malibu and Cranberry juice, but the waitress did not understand what Malibu or Cranberry were. We ended up confusing the poor lady with this simple request and ended up having to order two glasses of tap-water to end her embarrassment.

The Lamb Shoulder was most definitely NOT lamb shoulder. It was actually some sort of pink-slime style meat, heavily salted to mask the smell of old/poor quality meat. The dish was titled Lamb Shoulder however there were actually pieces of bacon in the dish, not as described. I guess the purpose of the bacon was the same as the salt: to mask the crap (excuse my language, there isn t a more eloquent way to put it) quality of the 'meat'. Serving what is basically pink slime (and not actual lamb shoulder) is unforgivable for a restaurant of this calibre and price. This meat had obviously been heated more than once as it was burnt on the outside but cold yet overdone on the inside.

All in all, the restaurant setting was luxurious, though without the food to match.

One to avoid at all costs.

I was disappointed with the room, not cleaned to a good standard, broken floor tiles in the bathroom. It is impressive when walking in to the lobby, but frills without substance is a bad way to spend money.

Nice hotel in a great location. The room was very clean and the staff did a great job keeping it fresh and clean throughout our stay.
Bed was comfy and there was a good amount of space in the room.
I give it 4 stars and not 5 because of a couple minor things. The first is breakfast. The food was good, don't get me wrong and if you wanted poached eggs or an omelet just ask the staff when you arrive. However, if you want a refill of your coffee, or to have coffee you need to hunt down the staff to get it and then hope they remember.
The other thing about the hotel is that it is more than one building, which in itself is no big deal. But, if you are on the 7th floor of the other building you must take one elevator to the 4th floor, walk a bit of a way to get to another elevator to take you the rest. While I don't mind walking, when you've spent the day walking and navigating the tube having to then make this trek was a bit much and, the second elevator wasn't working all the time and they didn't let you know at the desk. So, after walking to get to the next elevator you then had to back track to get to the stairs to walk up the rest of the way.
Saying all that I would still stay here again because they take very good care of the rooms and are friendly staff members. Just need to fine tune a couple of minor things.

The dinner and service were both reasonable, although it seemed wait staff might be a little short, particularly as it was a Friday evening. The ambiance was good, if a little quiet and the food matched this perfectly, and whilst I would typically give four stars for this experience, we were left with a rather sour taste because of a small billing issue. My girlfriend had ordered a fairly standard orange and lemonade, and as we were at the pub section of the hotel, we thought this would be a normal soft drink request and easily achievable. However, having reviewed the bill, we noticed that we were charged 6.50 for the drink as it was made up of an orange drink and a lemonade drink, not a combined mix. We brought this up with the waitress to no avail and paid the bill, but asked for the manager simply out of principal as this was an absurd amount for a typical soft drink. Unfortunately we received no apology with just the excuse that there was no other option. If they'd have at least acknowledged this was a crazy sum it would have been fine and we'd have left satisfied, but alas, the staff didn't understand the small complaint.

It's got a feel of former luxury, a but tatty at the edges, but the rooms are a goid size and well appointed.

Breakfast is the usual buffet melee, but it's in a great location, with loads of dining locations, so what's not to like

Great location but the rooms are small, we had no hot water and had to prime the water by turning it on and letting it run to get the boiler working, then three mornings we had to use another room for a shower but we were never offered a change of room, very disappointed in the service, would not stay there again.

The location of the hotel It is excellent: near the Vittoria Station, perfect for those arriving from Stansted airport. The hotel has a sumptuous entrance, great and helpful staff, rooms are tidy, the bed may be clean (maybe for me) and breakfast is included. We had the opportunity to consume water from the bar fridge and tea without having to pay a supplement.
