Our hotel was really loud at night because of the way the wind hit the windows. Ear plugs didn't help. The restraunt was fine and the bar was good. Our mistake was coming here on Christmas Eve and Day, and let me tell you, we spent a lot more time in our hotel than we would've ever expected to have.

The location was great - easy to find activities and bus tours. We checked in late and I'm not sure the desk staff knew what they were doing. We were unable to make local calls because they did not check us in correctly which was very inconvenient. The porters were very nice, however. The room was very small and the towel heater did not work. It was difficult to find anything to eat late at night. The continental breakfast had a great selection and the maids were all friendly and helpful. It is near a movie theater, which gave us something to do at night.

Staff at the reception ordered me a taxi and sent me to a completely wrong location. If you don't know the destination why don't you ask your guest? I had to pay a fortune to the taxi driver and missed my meeting.

Very nice old hotel. Rooms are great and comfortable. Lobby is fine and has a horse lamp. The staff is very friendly.
I had the best experience with Martin who was the housekeeping supervisor on our floor. I kept asking for things like extra towels and stuff and he couldn't have been nicer. He never got impatient or mean. I kept needing things like help with the heat control and then a light was burned out in the bathroom. Anyway he cheerfully helped me with everything.

Try not to get a room in the back though because it is just too noisy. They were loading things that looked like beer kegs onto a truck for hours. And it smells bad back there over the kitchen exit. Lots of other noise from the kitchen. Oh and hope you like seagulls. They are really noisy. Not the hotel's fault. Anyway a lovely old hotel with big comfortable rooms!

The hotel was under renovation, but was still quite lovely. It has an old Ireland charm to it. The bathroom was lovely and had amazing water pressure. The bar/lounge had a good choice of drinks and excellent staff. The rooms were very clean and relatively spacious. The door staff were extremely friendly and polite. The only thing that didn't work was the WiFi, it was very spotty and would only switch on for brief moments.

Location is great for getting anywhere in Dublin. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. The only downside to the room was the shower was a bit small and the water temperature varied a bit during showers.

Stayed on 17th November the hotel is lovely but the meal in Toddys part of the hotel was very poor and expensive for what we had and mine was cold.
We ordered cheesecake for dessert it was rock hard and not cheesecake. Most bizarre was it came with two cubes of jelly and a teaspoon of cream.

Old hotel that recently got renovated. We had the superior single room which had a queen bed. The rooms themselves were pretty decent and spacious.

Location of the hotel was good as well. It's unfortunate that the entire city of Dublin is under road repair but such is life.

Staff was good and the restaurants/breakfast were good as well. If you can get this place for a good price, go for it!

The entrance is unfortunately not barrier-free. The existing lift is defective. The hotel itself but nice. Too much carpet for my taste. A big advantage is that it is centrally located and within walking distance many sights can be reached

The hotel was nice and the food was good. I didn't like how some employees talked. They seemed as if they were almsot mad that I had asked them questions. I've never really had an experience like this.

Standards have dropped considerably as I've often come to stay and would lo e the food and hospitality but this time very poor standards twice ordered comes and twice sent them back twice I ordered smithwickes and twice both drinks were flat with no heads on them. Staff weren't polite no apologies from bar staff on serving bad pints of alcohol dont think I'll be visiting there again not will I recommend to friends such a shame for an iconic hotel

Very friendly staff, great location, nice big rooms, very clean, very generous breakfast. Room was quiet and peaceful and the bed really comfortable. Negatives are the hotel rooms could do with refresh, no USB or Euro two pin plugs. But would I go back, absolutely.

Good hotel, friendly employees, decent rooms. A bit old, but not worn out or anything like that.

Many possibilities to go in all directions from the hotel, both on foot and by bus. Dublin is a beautiful city, in which you can certainly do enough!

Great location. Easy to get to from airport and for daily trips. Beautiful lobby with blown glass ceiling. We had a nice view from our room. It's an older hotel but I would come again. Restaurant in the hotel is great and cozy. Good to meet up with friends. Concierge was very helpful with planning trips and getting around.

Had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. We had breakfast included. Breakfast was good, tasty and more than enough choice. Our room was at the front of the hotel. Slightly noisy but not disturbing.

This is one of the iconic hotels not only in Dublin but in Ireland. I stayed here with my wife while home from Australia for a visit. There was an initial mix up with the room that was quick addressed and rectified. The breakfast buffet was very good also. It is in a great location on O'Connell Street, Dublin's premiere street and close to everything. Staff were friendly and very efficient.

The room was small and roasting hot at night . The air conditioning wasn't great which made for a very unpleasant night . Breakfast which I was looking forward to was very disappointing .Not hot and wasn't even cooked that well . The fried egg was like rubber. I would not stay here again .

The Irish atmosphere of "The Gresham" is long gone unfortunately. This hotel could be anywhere..... it's completely generic.... hardly an Irish person on staff. The same goes for most Dublin hotels unfortunately...

The hotel is located in a great place, in the center of Dublin and in front of the various tramway and bus stops, aesthetically beautiful, and beautiful interiors, the only flaw is the Wifi which has little signal as well as the television, apart from this is a great hotel, located in a great place, the rooms are a bit old though nice even in them the only flaw is the bathroom, a bit too retro.

If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIR ven. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!

A rather pleasant stay. Room was neat and tidy and fairly spacious. Staff was extremely friendly, from the front desk to house keeping. I don't think I walked past a single staff member who did not greet me with a friendly hello. The hotel is located steps from the Spire and in the heart of shopping. Transportation just footsteps away as well.
