What a treat. Coffee in The Gresham Hotel. Just fabulous. Looking forward to doing it again
What a treat. Coffee in The Gresham Hotel. Just fabulous. Looking forward to doing it again
Lovely atmosphere. Great food and drink. Nice staff. Central location. Easily accessible on public transport.
Staff very obliging and lovely but decor needs updating breakfast very average I love staying here but think I will try elsewhere for same price with nicer decor
Nice hotel. Unfortunately, we were only there for a few hours because we were picked up at 3.10 am for our flight. Our room was quite small. You only got to the window when you climbed onto the bed.
Hotel strategically located in Dublin very good service and attention the only thing that the television in the room was not quite acceptable
confortable with great service. I've stayed here on a number of occasions, it is expensive so check online for a good price. The rooms are well equipped and very comfortable. The restaurant is nice and the breakfast is what you would expect, first class. Will surely stay here again.
Nice Hotel on O'Connell Street. Lovely food and very helpful staff.
Beautiful hotel, great location, friendly staff and absolutely gorgeous BREAKFAST.
Great staff... Great location... Best hotel we stayed in in 14 days in Ireland..
A historic and classic hotel. Take something in it is a luxury
Excellent location, great rooms and infrastructure. And exceptionally bad staff
We have stayed here before many times Now it has changed management to the
Hotel Rui Plaza The Gresham, it always was very good, now it excels It really is quite special, we have a very nice room, nicely furnished, with everything you need, very cosy this weather. The staff are really friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
Breakfast well that is tomorrow but what I have heard it is exceptional. Will definitely keep coming. Thank you so much.
Not very welcoming bar/food area. Room was nice if a little bit small. The bathroom was dated, not good for relaxing in the bath. Breakfast was good and staff friendly and helpful.
Just popped in for drinks and sandwiches. Very nice food, reasonable prices too.
Very old updated luxury hotel in the center of Dublin. Relaxing, great food.
Very good service. Comfortable room. Good breakfast
I asked for one hour late check out and they refused.... First and last time
Heritage building. Awesome staff. bedrooms massive let down
They really should have shut down the hotel when doing renovations - there was scaffolding up all over the place even where we ate - the sound of drills going everywhere, We ate in the writers lounge and the food was awful - we both ordered sandwiches from the menu which were plain and dry - the one star I'm giving is for the staff who were very friendly & helpful and who I felt sorry for having to work in that environment.
A rather pleasant stay. Room was neat and tidy and fairly spacious. Staff was extremely friendly, from the front desk to house keeping. I don't think I walked past a single staff member who did not greet me with a friendly hello. The hotel is located steps from the Spire and in the heart of shopping. Transportation just footsteps away as well.
Love this hotel, lovely rustic setting and friendly staff.
Very pleasant and clean hotel. Staff courteous and friendly as well as helpful with questions.
Rooms are clean and tidy. The room was on level 5 and was pretty quiet.
International TV program available as well as free WIFI.
Due to the current situation, there is a lack of tea, coffee and a kettle in the rooms. Furthermore, no room service is offered.
Disadvantage: no parking space. The arrangement with Q-Park is completely ok, but unfortunately it is torture to get to the parking garage dry when it rains. Food and drinks in the restaurant were delicious and well prepared. The menu is only available in large format at the entrance (hygiene measure).
I would still like to come back.
Grand and delicious breakfast. Large, clean rooms with spacious bathroom.
I arrived today to stay at the Gresham Hotel, with my daughter. I always stay here, have done for over 40 years.
I'm very disappointed. I requested a quiet room.
But it is at the back of the hotel. Looks over ...... Rooves, metal extractors, dirty , mouldy "things" Backs of buildings . Disgusting.
The room is much smaller than I usually have . Over 220, for b and b.
Luckily, I'm only here for one night
I won't stay here again.
The management should check out the MacDonald Hotel and Spa in Manchester
Their.rooms ate far superior. They have coffee machines, making various coffees. not sachets.
The reception area is beautiful - but people don't sleep there.
I used to think it the best hotel in Dublin.
I would not recommend it anymore
Flawless! Room was spotless and very comfortable. The food in Toddy's was great and our server (Paula I think) was so lovely and chatty. Every staff member we came into contact with was friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend!
Good food, good staff, clean comfortable and warm, bang on really
Well priced for city centre friendly staff lots of room and near everything in the city.
Room was clean and roomy, bathroom was nice a big with a good size tub to soak in after a day out on the town.
Very nice hotel with nice staff. Room well equipped and clean. Is very centrally located, so that hardly public transport to explore the sights are necessary. Prices, however, correspondingly high!
Had the most amazing stay here!
First visit to the Gresham and won t be the last!
Had been looking at the hotel for a while, got a really good deal which included an upgraded room and breakfast. We always get the Air Coach from the airport to the city centre so this Hotel is ideal for that as it drops you right outside the door.
We arrived early so the room wasn t ready as expected so we left our bags with the concierge and because the weather was so wet and grim the concierge lent us a brolly. We filled in all our paperwork so we just had the keys to pick up when we came back, they offered to give us a ring when the room was ready but we weren t in a rush to get back.
When we did return I think they had upgraded our room again as it was amazing, it looked like a suite! It was huge! Newly refurbished and on a high floor like we requested. It had a lounge area with a sofa and a tv. It had a huge bedroom with a desk, dressing table and an ample size bathroom. They also provide you with a hair dryer and brolly in the room. As it was my partners birthday they had done a birthday plate for him and left him some chocolates which was lovely.
We missed breakfast the next morning as we had been too busy celebrating the night before not only my partners birthday but he also proposed to me! So unfortunately I can t comment on the breakfast but I m sure it would have been lovely!
The reception area is very grand, tidy and welcoming. Along with the very lovely bar.
Check out was smooth and again you stored our bags.
Overall an outstanding stay and would definitely return, thank you to all!
Great stay. Excellent location. Great breakfast buffet, clean rooms, nice building, staff was nice.
A bit expensive, but the stay was at the high level that was expected from a RIU Hotel.
My husband and I stayed there for 4 nights. Perfect location in the heart of Dublin city.
We had double king room. Room was fine, comfortable bed, air conditioner, small fridge. Bathroom and toilet were separated, it's comfortable as well. Service downstairs is brilliant!
List of disadvantages:
1. On arrival we've been told that hotel doesn't have their own free parking, parking area was 3-5 mins walk, and it was 20 euro per day. Well, we had to pay additional 80 euro for parking. Terrible.
2. Bath is extremely small, suites for child only. If you think to lay and relax in the bath, not a hope, I'm not tall at all, didn't work.
Shower pressure is sooooo weak.
3. No room service, so no one will clean your room, or change bed or towels. Because of coronavirus.
4. No kettle, tea/coffee, cups were supplied. We rang on reception, receptionist stated due coronavirus it's not possible. We had only 3 small plastic one use cups.
5. Breakfast was ok, one day nice, another day not too bad. Irish breakfast, cold meats and cheeses were okay. Lots of dry breakfasts, fruit salads, yogurt. Great coffee and range of justices, pastries.
Great in general.
Hotel is elegant and so beautiful.
View outside of our room was on back view, nothing to look at.
I wouldn't come back.
Great breakfast. Who is not satisfied, is your own fault. Room very clean and the street noise is nothing to hear. Very close, great for a trip to Dublin. Would book again.
Great location for a city trip. Hotel itself gets a bit dated but super nice bed and that is most important. Also breakfast buffet fairly extensive. Tasty cappuccino. Bottle of water in the room every evening and luggage service on departure day. Good value for money
This is a true gem in the heart of Dublin city
Top class service and a secure location for those people who want private space.
It's high end hotel with great service and that luxury you don't get else where.
Good size room and not too expensive. Clean and the breakfast was good. Staff where very helpful!
Had pre-theatre bar food. Beautifully cooked and great service from waiting staff
Has really list it's charm and good service since being taken over. Won't be back...what a shame. Loved the old Gresham.
Good clean, modern rooms, excellent also the location for everything.
Guide location however the rooms are dated, staff are friendly and welcoming but in dire need of a makeover
Pleasant Staff, nice bedrooms, fine breakfast to sustain one, for a day of sight seeing.nice restaurants locally. Few minutes only from metro stop. Restaurant and bar seemed too quiet for evening meal.
I have stayed in for a couple of days, the rooms were cozy and clean, the breakfast satisfies all tastes, front desk were so cooperative especially mr. Lucas.
The location is strategic, walking distance from all restaurants and cafes.
The room I booked said " Deluxe " that it was definitely not. Basic Basic Basi
Excellent staff facilities and food I highly recommend it
Perfect location in Dublin! Good food and very friendly staff!
The hotel is located in the center of all tourist attractions within easy reach
Really enjoyed our stay. Staff was very attentive and provided for every need. Room and bathroom were spotless. Great breakfast with lots of options available. The only negative I can mention and a drop of bond star was the bed frame. The carved, wooden frame was a smidge larger than the mattress/boxspring and had curved details that stuck out from each corner. They stuck out right at shin heigth and we bashed our legs on them multiple times. All in all a good stay, would have been great if I was a thai kickboxer. :)
Very friendly and informative staff. Hotel is extremely well presented throughout. Room was very clean. Will be staying again when I return to Dublin.
I have received exceptional treatment, very professional and very friendly staff. The cleanliness is especially good. There is always Spanish speaking staff.
Had a lovely stay in the Gresham. Room looked out on to O'Connell St, but no noise, n l had the window slightly open. Ate in Toddys, the food was very good n reasonably priced but the restaurant was very busy and as a result the service was slow.
Great hotel in the center of Dublin! It is a quiet place, comfortable and quiet, and not very expensive. I highly recommend !!
Very nice hotel. The staff is friendly. The rooms are comfortable. The food is delicious. The location is perfect, so central.
The hotel was excellent. The service was great and the location was optimal
Nice hotel in a popular location with a very nice breakfast buffet. Walking distance to many popular areas with an iconic landmark to help guide you back to the hotel if you're walking around exploring Dublin. The staff was helpful and accommodating. We found the room to be nice and comfortable.
Check in was very bad . Room was not ready at check in time waited 45minutes for room. Expected better service than this.
Staff very nice. You can tell it's an older hotel. And that's fine. The odd thing was there was no outlet close the bed. Asked the front desk for assistance due needing to plug in a machine close the bed. They were very helpful and gave a good extension cord. The dining area looks nice but haven't had breakfast yet to let you know about that. They have a bar area as well that looks nice but we didn't visit it. The room is good sized one double bed. But plenty of space with a desk/chair and another little table and 2 chars as well. So that was nice. Also, you have to use your key card just inside the door so that the lights and thermostat will work. I have not seem that before. Also this hotel is located on O'Connell street. There is historic things all around. Plenty to do and see once you are here.
Edited to add, the bed was very comfortable. And the breakfast had many good foods to choose from. Breakfast seemed up scale.
Good hotel in very central location, right on the main street in Dublin.
Very comfortable. Very central. Front desk staff are lovely as is the door staff. Bedrooms are nice, but dated and the double bed is quite small
Nicely refurbished quaint old hotel with lots of character and good food. Excellent and convenient location.
