I used to like the place but not anymore. Going there only if I have to (mostly because my girlfriend like it). The saff is atacking you even before you sit. When you sit and still have a drink you are politely and with a smile atacked again and again by waitters. Hate to go there.

Lovely hotel, very expensive, breakfast is 18 per person per morning. Clean room & comfy bed. No loud outside noise from the streets which was good. Friendly service when checking INTO the hotel but the morning we were leaving we got awoken at 8am with banging and crashing outside our door, there were some construction workers removing the windows from right outside our room, this was disappointing. We then went to check out and a man at the reception desk was very abrupt and just stated "room number" when he saw us... Not very welcoming, didn't ask us if we had enjoyed our stay or anything, I found it rather rude. A plus side to the hotel was it was my birthday so I left a note in our hotel room asking for some more of the coffee buiscuits they leave in your room as they are my favourite, to which I was presently surprised when I came back to the room to a lovely note back wishing me a happy birthday and dozens of the buiscuits :)

I gave 3 stars only for the reason that TODAY the security guards approached to me when I entered to the lobby and asked me about where am I going like I was a thief or something, I said Toddy's bar he said I have to go the other door outside! When they are connected inside and it was raining a lot!. I used to be a regular client but for sure not anymore!!!

To be from the Riu chain. The hotel is "correct", although I have been better. Rooms clean but simple. The best, breakfast, very complete and varied. And of course the location (in the whole center) you can walk to all the main attractions if you take public transport which is chaotic. The Aircoach transport company that operates from the airport to the center of Dublin stops at the door of the hotel.

The cleanliness of the establishment and the room ...

The cleanliness of the establishment and the room service leaves much to be desired. Also the interest of the staff in charge of it: we went with a 2-year-old baby who unfortunately vomited some milk on the carpet at night. We tried to collect and clean everything as we could at dawn. We apologize and let you know the next day. The room service in the morning was there ... but it was cleaned but only halfway. They left obvious remains. They were in a hurry? ... And immediately it began to smell very bad. Despite asking several times during the day at the reception a complete cleaning did not attend us and nobody came to complete the cleaning. Throughout the day nobody showed up despite requesting it. At night you could not enter the room - let alone sleep - because of the very strong smell. When claiming again at the reception -and repeatedly- to send someone with a carpet vacuum, only one employee (22: 15h) of those who were at the entrance was presented with a glass cleaner spray ? and a rag. He tried to do what he could, which was no use. He told us to put the air conditioner to avoid the smell (18 degrees and raining). It was a very very unpleasant night and a bad memory.

Great location within walking distance of the river, shopping and the Templar Bar area. Interesting history to the building as well given that is the most bombed building in the city which is still standing.

Very nice hotel with a perfect location!

Very nice hotel with a perfect location!

The hotel is very centrally located on O'Connell Street.
The hop-on-hop-of tours start right across the street.
It is also not far to Temple Bar on foot.
There is also a bar and 2 restaurants in the hotel itself.
The breakfast is superb!
The hotel is located in a historic building and looks great from the outside.
The rooms are elegantly renovated.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
If I come to Dublin again, I will be happy to use this hotel again.

Clean rooms, very good beds / mattresses, friendly and helpful staff, big breakfast buffet, lounge is good, food is delicious, but not a bargain paradise (Apperol Spritz 12 ).
Unfortunately no minibar and not a hook in the wall to hang clothes. Very central location, but not loud. I would book it again.
Addendum: The bar staff in the hotel restaurant Toddys Bar & Brasserie was a disaster during our visit. Waited forever and the whiskey sour was something with lemon juice.

Fantastic, although his is to catch good offer. We pay 57 pppn in a double room with a great breakfast buffet and generous hours. Well guarded access at night. Spacious rooms 10 min walk from the wiggle. Buses to the airport in the same door. What more could you want!

The hotel itself looks grand exquisite. City prices though, the room compared to price was very small, and a lot of street noise even with windows closed. If it wasn't for the central location it wouldn't be worth the money. However food for the breakfast buffet was all fresh

Great and clean rooms, soft beds, not a lot of space but good location in the city centre. Service is kind and attentive, well trained. Breakfast is plentiful, mostly typical English/Irish style, enough choice for any taste. Food served in the evening is really very nice.

Drawback: Wi-Fi is mediocre to poor.

Fantastic location and beautiful hotel, and pleasant ambience and staff. Our room was rather warm and we had to sleep. With windows open in March, even with the air con on. Comfy bed and a great base to explore

Downstairs looks fabulous; however rooms a bit tired. They are large and spacious, but furniture worn. Floor tiles cracked in bathroom. Shower didn't drain properly. Did notify downstairs so they will hopefully see to issues. Room was extremely clean and staff were professional and friendly
