Best hotel in joburg. Highly recommend. Nice rooms, the pool area is amazing, great breakfast. The decoration is simply fantastic. The staff is always friendly and helpful. A pianist is always onsite playing.

Had a scrumptious breakfast with champagne for a friend's birthday. I must say we absolutely loved the champagne and the selection of fresh fruit. We both had smoked salmon omelettes which were just delicious and delicate.
WOW is all i can say.. Staff are the best!!! Will do anything for you. Food amazing drinks amazing, Be sure to make it too the pool for a cocktail. I have been here a few times and was served by a waiter called "Lucky" he's super friendly and polite be sure to reward him for his good service. Also hotel is right next door to the monte casino complex which has everything you could ask for.

Sunset cake and tea with my cousin was somewhat enjoyable as the view was impeccable. Staff were a bit all over the place and forgetting what we ordered and just forgetting about us. But once the tea and tiramisu came, it was delicious. Thank you
I'm a frequent traveler and that means I get to try out different eating places and today I tried the Medeo restaurant at Montecasino. I took my wife and my sister with because I wanted to treat them to a 5 star dinner. I did read the reviews prior and they were pleasing.. so I guess I went there with great excitement and anticipation. The only great thing about the place was the absolutely beautiful infrastructure and surroundings. The service was below standard. We waited by the 'please wait here to be seated' sign until I had to start looking for the staff members, after that we were seated in a table that just had guests occupying it and wasn't cleaned because the table cloth had crumbs and pepper corns left from the last guests who used it. The restaurant wasn't that busy but our orders were taken just as we were contemplating to leave because we felt absolutely ignored. The experience wasn't impressive at all!. However the food was given enough effort by the chef and it was tasty. I am generally disappointed!
This was my second time at Palazzo Montecasino, both with great service, exclusive rooms. Dismal I booked a deluxe room, the advantage is the room is located on the ground floor and through that one has a terrace. The rooms themselves are not large but luxurious.
The hotel is right by the Montecasino complex with casino, restaurants and some shops. Very safe place in Johannesburg.

Had Terrible service today, my family arrived at the hotel to find that booking errors were made over 2 months ago for the xmas season only to be rudely sent away. We were even willing to re book and they refused to give us rooms even though there were available. Terrible holiday season memory. Shame on Tsogo.
Went for high tea, what a disappointment. You could see the food had been prepared and garnished hours before service so it looked dry and unappealing. The pannacotta had far too much gelatin and no flavour, it was like eating a bouncy ball. On top of that, we had to ask for teaspoons to eat the desserts with. The flavour combinations on the sandwiches were odd; and the little curry pies were awful - no flavour, just burn. For such a "fancy" place, it was quite a let down.

My stay at The Palazzo Montecasino was the best in eleven years, with a lot of new refurbishments and improvements and in general the overall experience was simply wonderful. I found the service was friendly, everyone went out of their way to make the experience unforgettable. The logo "Life is beautiful" says it all! I can't wait for next year's stay, thank you.
